Job Summary
The Harvest Manager will direct workflow and lead others in a positive productive manner. The ideal candidate for this position is equally comfortable directing others and carrying out tasks themselves. This role is responsible for overseeing 30-50 employees and controls workflow of harvest in a fast-paced environment. He/she will work with the growers to inspect product during harvest for quality defects to ensure the procedures are being followed and meet specific requirements set forth by the master grower.

REPORTS TO: Director of Cultivation

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for personnel management, all post-harvest activity including product quality, efficiencies, inventory organization, drying, trimming, and the testing process. This position is also responsible for pushing performance, setting quality standards, streamlining processes, and overall approval of the final product. The Post-Harvest Manager will interact with various department leaders including cultivation, sales, procurement, and Metrc, while reporting daily numbers and quality data to the executive team. They will lead continuous improvement efforts in company operations and the overall quality of our products. While cannabis experience is a big advantage, most important is that you have strong team management, good interpersonal cohesion, experience tracking department data, and a knack for implementing efficiencies through our post-harvest process.
JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for all post-harvest departments, associates, and processes including dry-cure, trim, bucking, sorting, and packaging departments.
- Provide updates to Sales, CEO and Operations Executives regarding product quality and amounts and be available to provide updates in real-time.
- Maintaining an up-to-date Post Harvest schedule and guiding current batches through the process.
- Responsible for reporting on Inventory to management.
- Manage all inventory of harvested cannabis material through the post-harvest process, including dry-cure, trim, bucking, sorting and packaging departments.
- Maintain Post Harvest productivity tracking system through each stage of the process to measure efficiency, performance, and report on success.
- Responsible for contacting testing lab and scheduling a pickup for testing.

The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for the oversight of all processes from pre-harvest planning to order fulfillment, ensuring that harvested plant material moves through the post-harvest pipeline carefully and efficiently, and in compliance with state regulations and company SOPs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Post-Harvest Manager to:
- Oversee the harvest process and all record keeping/data entry that follows
- Follow Post Harvest’s production schedule each week, to ensure the daily operations are streamlined to meet demand
- Follow deadlines to ensure the post-harvest department is meeting set goals
- Follow company SOP’s and adjust based off facility and compliance needs

Minimum Qualifications

Position Objective:
The Schwazze Post Harvest Manager oversees the daily functionality and performance of the department. This includes all operations from when the plant is harvested until the product is manifested out of the facility. As a multi-grow company with centralized post harvesting, this position will be responsible for product grown at four different facilities. The Post Harvest Manager will have three direct reports, a trim lead, a pre-roll lead, and a packaging lead. SUMMARY
The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for maintaining product quality through the drying, trimming, and testing processes. This position will oversee a team of Post-Harvest Agents in properly handling and trimming product as it becomes available. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume responsibility for plants immediately following a harvest

- Ensure the dry rooms are properly sanitized following transfer to trimming

Job Description
The Packaging Technician will be responsible for safely and effectively preparing, filling, packaging and labeling our food safe medical cannabis oils and liquids for ingestion, inhalation, solid dose and topical applications. This position will also be responsible for maintaining production and packaging equipment.

Overview
The Post-Harvest Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that our flower is dried, cured, trimmed, and packaged to the highest degree. Months of hard work will all land on your plate, and the final steps of the process – drying and curing – will ultimately determine the quality of our flower. Careful and meticulous attention to detail is integral, as is ensuring proper moisture content, terpene preservation, trichome preservation, and overall bag appeal. The Post-Harvest Manager will coordinate directly with the Greenhouse Manager, and General Manager, to ensure that intakes of harvests are happening on schedule, and that flower is preserved at the highest quality possible. You must have careful attention to detail as it relates to environmental controls of the drying room, and constantly monitor, assess, and adjust to changes around you. A scientific, analytic, and constantly improving mindset should converge with years of personal experience and all lend itself to a Post-Harvest Manager who can successfully reward the operation with the fruits of all our collective labor.
You will be directly responsible for managing, planning, organizing, and executing the goals set forth by management to ensure the overall workflow, and success, of all post-harvest operations, from intake through to packaging. The Post-Harvest Manager will report directly to the General Manager, and together will create a plan of action to meet the goals of upper management.
To best succeed the Post-Harvest Manager should be the type of person who can work in high stress situations while maintaining grace and composure. You are the type of person who can effectively plan, organize, prioritize, lead, and execute a plan from start to finish. Personnel Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day post-harvest activities and adjusting workflow and procedures to increase yields, efficiency, and overall performance. Oversee proper techniques related to drying and curing, bucking, and trimming, as well as packaging and storing
- Lead and manage four supervisors under you, including the Drying Zone Supervisor, the Processing Zone Supervisor, the Trimming Zone Supervisor, and the Curing Zone Supervisor
- Maintain the cleanliness of the facility, ensuring the drying, curing, bucking, trimming, and packaging rooms are cleaned to the highest standards daily (cleanliness is next to godliness)
- Ensure that the optimal temperature, humidity, air movement, etc. are achieved in the drying and curing rooms, and that the environment is carefully monitored, recorded, and maintained on a constant basis.
- Create an ongoing maintenance schedule to look after HVAC equipment needed in the drying, curing, and storage rooms as well as for other tools and machinery used in the post-harvest production process
- Ensure cultivars are bucked and trimmed according to each plants unique structure, and cater workflow and operation to make sure that we have the highest quality flower possible, period.
- Create, maintain, and update SOPs as related to ongoing post-harvest efforts, and enforce strict adherence throughout the facility
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadline required by upper management and the needs of our dispensaries. Develop daily, weekly, and monthly plans, and create reports with production completion forecasts, yields, loss, etc. for upper management
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and general traceability of plants including plants counts (both physically and in LeafLogix), as well as taking corrective measures to account for plant inventory discrepancies. Ensure strains, and batches, are accounted for and well organized, weights are taken, and all compliance, both AZDHS and in house, is followed
- Coordinate and schedule with state testing laboratories to ensure proper testing is done on a batch basis and that any remediation efforts, if at all needed, are taken. Testing should be organized in a way to minimize the time our product sits at our facility
- Assist with calculating production yields and have a continuous improvement mindset to incrementally get more efficient as we grow in operations
- Monitor stock of post-harvest supplies, equipment, infrastructure, etc. and work with the General Manager and/or Procurement Manager to order supplies, and to make sure we always have the tools needed on hand
- Provide job responsibility, HR management, and task management, as well as work directly with the General Manager on reporting
- Able to lead teams in a way that inspires organizational growth and empowers, nurtures, and cares for employees

Purpose
The Manager of Post Harvest is responsible for overseeing and managing the operational workflow from processing harvest plants to final packaging of the flower product at the Hamptonburgh, NY cultivation facility. This position is accountable for building and developing departments of staff to be trained and follow the standard operating procedures, prepared with the proper equipment within the Post Harvest department to achieve a consistent, high quality packaged product. Leadership Procedures & Tasks

Training Requirements
- This position will follow the direction and training by the General Manager of Cultivation assigned to the state of New York. This position is expected to be knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the cultivation facilities assigned. The role is expected to engage in proactive participation to be able to clearly lead and direct the cultivation facilities to achieve the high standard cultivation practices, consistently and compliant.

Workspace and Material Maintenance
- Ensure Post Harvest machinery and rooms are operating properly at all times, and prepared to support coordination and resolution with relevant departments and contractors when maintenance, troubleshooting, or broken equipment become a concern.
- Provide direction and training to Post Harvest department staff with a safe, well maintained, and organized work area. Support the management of Post Harvest departments towards procuring proper supplies and equipment, with recurring purchasing coordination with the Supply Chain department for essential replenishments towards workflow.
- Provide management and direction towards processes of sanitizing, organizing, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, workspace functionality, and supplies to maintain proper organization of the cultivation facility.

- Oversee the inventory tracking and reporting for cannabis product throughout the Post Harvest workflow.
- Direct the Post Harvest department staff in training and supervision to ensure compliance of the cultivation facility. Manage, coordinate, train, coach, supervise, discipline, and analyze with staff to maintain compliant practices and workflow. Any compliance or safety mistake or error created must be addressed, reported, and resolved. Communication with appropriate leadership to ensure resolution.
- Direct the leadership of the Post Harvest department towards the communication and collaboration with other supporting departments, such as and not limited to, Analytics, C&A, and Quality Assurance to ensure workflow operation maintains proper reporting, tracking, and compliance with laws, regulations, and company practices.

- Works under the direct supervision of the General Manager of Cultivation.
- This position is responsible for the supervision and management of the Post Harvest department for the Hamptonburgh, NY cultivation facility. Managing staff, including hiring and developing, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving employee issues.
- Ensure that individual and team performance meets PharmaCann's standards of service and quality.
- Supervise the Post Harvest department attendance, time off balances, time off requests, pay change requests, position change requests, and all other attendance and documentation related procedures/processes.

SUMMARY
The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for maintaining product quality through the drying, trimming, and testing processes. This position will oversee a team of Post-Harvest Agents in properly handling and trimming product as it becomes available. The Post-Harvest Manager will lead the people and operations for the Trimming and Packaging function. This position will be on-site in our Hagerstown, MD location.

Overview
The Post-Harvest Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that our flower is dried, cured, trimmed, and packaged to the highest degree. Months of hard work will all land on your plate, and the final steps of the process – drying and curing – will ultimately determine the quality of our flower. Careful and meticulous attention to detail is integral, as is ensuring proper moisture content, terpene preservation, trichome preservation, and overall bag appeal. The Post-Harvest Manager will coordinate directly with the Greenhouse Manager, and General Manager, to ensure that intakes of harvests are happening on schedule, and that flower is preserved at the highest quality possible. You must have careful attention to detail as it relates to environmental controls of the drying room, and constantly monitor, assess, and adjust to changes around you. A scientific, analytic, and constantly improving mindset should converge with years of personal experience and all lend itself to a Post-Harvest Manager who can successfully reward the operation with the fruits of all our collective labor.

Personnel Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day post-harvest activities and adjusting workflow and procedures to increase yields, efficiency, and overall performance. Oversee proper techniques related to drying and curing, bucking, and trimming, as well as packaging and storing
- Lead and manage four supervisors under you, including the Drying Zone Supervisor, the Processing Zone Supervisor, the Trimming Zone Supervisor, and the Curing Zone Supervisor
- Maintain the cleanliness of the facility, ensuring the drying, curing, bucking, trimming, and packaging rooms are cleaned to the highest standards daily (cleanliness is next to godliness)
- Ensure that the optimal temperature, humidity, air movement, etc. are achieved in the drying and curing rooms, and that the environment is carefully monitored, recorded, and maintained on a constant basis.
- Create an ongoing maintenance schedule to look after HVAC equipment needed in the drying, curing, and storage rooms as well as for other tools and machinery used in the post-harvest production process
- Ensure cultivars are bucked and trimmed according to each plants unique structure, and cater workflow and operation to make sure that we have the highest quality flower possible, period.
- Create, maintain, and update SOPs as related to ongoing post-harvest efforts, and enforce strict adherence throughout the facility
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadline required by upper management and the needs of our dispensaries. Develop daily, weekly, and monthly plans, and create reports with production completion forecasts, yields, loss, etc. for upper management
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and general traceability of plants including plants counts (both physically and in LeafLogix), as well as taking corrective measures to account for plant inventory discrepancies. Ensure strains, and batches, are accounted for and well organized, weights are taken, and all compliance, both AZDHS and in house, is followed
- Coordinate and schedule with state testing laboratories to ensure proper testing is done on a batch basis and that any remediation efforts, if at all needed, are taken. Testing should be organized in a way to minimize the time our product sits at our facility
- Assist with calculating production yields and have a continuous improvement mindset to incrementally get more efficient as we grow in operations
- Monitor stock of post-harvest supplies, equipment, infrastructure, etc. and work with the General Manager and/or Procurement Manager to order supplies, and to make sure we always have the tools needed on hand
- Provide job responsibility, HR management, and task management, as well as work directly with the General Manager on reporting
- Able to lead teams in a way that inspires organizational growth and empowers, nurtures, and cares for employees
- Available to work 50+ hours a week, six days per week if needed

This is a salaried position starting at $65,000 per year, depending on experience. SUMMARY
The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for maintaining product quality through the drying, trimming, and testing processes. This position will oversee a team of Post-Harvest Agents in properly handling and trimming product as it becomes available.
The Post-Harvest Manager will also serve as the primary interface between the facility and external testing labs to ensure all product is tested and upholds the company’s high standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume responsibility for plants immediately following a harvest
- Accurately and consistently maintain the tracking and movement of each harvest batch via the statewide monitoring system (METRC)
- Oversee drying process, monitor environmental variables and moisture content of product
- Ensure the dry rooms are properly sanitized following transfer to trimming
- Record all cleaning activities in the sanitation log
- Lead the product trimming process to ensure that a high level of quality is maintained while focusing on the efficiency and productivity of the trimming team.
- Make sure that all trimming equipment, including tables, handheld trimmers, and other small items, are properly sterilized before and after trimming activity
- Accurately record the weights of all product as it moves through the process in the statewide monitoring system (METRC)
- Coordinate with Compliance to ensure product is properly batched, sampled and tested
- Maintain a proficient knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and fungi
- Audit product inventory weekly or as necessary
- Oversee and manage disposal of all leftover plant material

- Facilitate and then Coach Tier Huddles and drive our CC Lean Management System of Visual Controls (i.e., White Boards, Visual Standards, Signage, etc.)
- Lead Lean Kaizen events, Productivity Improvements, and Safety Committees

- Four Year College Degree in Horticulture, Biology, Agriculture, or equivalent Cannabis Processing is preferred. Five Years’ management experience in agricultural, pharmaceutical or feed industry is acceptable in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities
- The Cannabis Post-Harvest Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, process optimization and coordinating the activities of post-harvest team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Our Operations Division, also referred to as Commonwealth Alternative Care is a market leader in the cultivation, processing, production, distribution and sale of a wide variety of cannabis products. The Trim & Cure Manager (TCM) is responsible for managing the trim department and monitors the curing process of the flower. Reporting directly to the Cultivation Manager, the TCM is accountable for quality/inventory control, clean room knowledge, trim expectations, and employee satisfaction while improving efficiency and producing a high-quality product. The TCM leads a team responsible for post- harvest handling, providing a high-quality product that is compliant and ready for sale or processing. In between harvests, the TCM will lead the pruning process, cleaning and upkeep of hydroponic equipment, and general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment, possess high attention to detail, and can interact positively and effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage policy deployment in the areas of trim quality, safety, curing, inventory control, and plant performance measures
- Lead with harvest and post-processing workflows, monitoring and maintaining dry room conditions, and packaging product
- Oversee the weighing and logging of each plant when harvested in the grow room to maintain awareness of the amount of harvesting expected per day
- Provide leadership and strategies for the trimmers and harvest team so they can meet daily, weekly and monthly goals
- Create strategies to streamline the trim process, and maintain a level of desired quality, and cost- effective quantity, while trimming
- Monitor and update reports in all Trim/Inventory sheets ensuring all reports are updated for the efficiency of the department’s workflow and accountability
- Conduct walk thru with trim leads to ensure all checklists are completed
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch, in addition to usable by-products
- Ensure the Trim & Cure environment is maintained and left in an orderly, clean and well- controlled state throughout the shift
- Supervise two trim leads and 20+ trim and cure techs
- Aid in conducting evaluations of staff to provide feedback on their overall performance, growth
- Research and implement new training materials and ideas to strengthen training
- Ensure Trim & Cure is adequately staffed for operational needs days/hours to optimize high- quality expectations
- Stay up to date with all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure training is consistent with any changes in laws or policies

Position Summary/Objective
The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions related to drying/curing, trimming, and packaging. This allows an inventory to be constructed which can be utilized by the Supply chain team and the Production Operations Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Post Harvest Manager
SUMMARY
The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for maintaining product quality through the drying, trimming, and testing processes. This position will oversee a team of Post-Harvest Agents in properly handling and trimming product as it becomes available. The Post-Harvest Manager will also serve as the primary interface between the facility and external testing labs to ensure all product is tested and upholds the company’s high standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume responsibility for plants immediately following a harvest
- Accurately and consistently maintain the tracking and movement of each harvest batch via the statewide monitoring system (METRC)
- Oversee drying process, monitor environmental variables and moisture content of product
- Ensure the dry rooms are properly sanitized following transfer to trimming
- Record all cleaning activities in the sanitation log
- Lead the product trimming process to ensure that a high level of quality is maintained while focusing on the efficiency and productivity of the trimming team.
- Make sure that all trimming equipment, including tables, handheld trimmers, and other small items, are properly sterilized before and after trimming activity
- Accurately record the weights of all product as it moves through the process in the statewide monitoring system (METRC)
- Coordinate with Compliance to ensure product is properly batched, sampled and tested
- Maintain a proficient knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and fungi
- Audit product inventory weekly or as necessary
- Oversee and manage disposal of all leftover plant material

About the Job:
The Postharvest Manager is responsible for supervising the day-to-day postharvest work in accordance with standards set by the company. What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assuring work tasks within their assigned Value Stream are executed per the Production Schedule and Standard Work with high degree of Safety, Quality and Regulatory Compliance
- Facilitate and then Coach Tier Huddles and drive our CC Lean Management System of Visual Controls (i.e., White Boards, Visual Standards, Signage, etc.)
- Lead Lean Kaizen events, Productivity Improvements, and Safety Committees
- Accountable for Safety, Quality and Productivity Improvements year over year
- Act as Subject Matter Expert with respect to Post-Harvest processes and Citizen Development.
In terms of Post-Harvest Production duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for overall throughput of Trim and Packaging departments
- Intaking and organizing untrimmed biomass from harvest team
- Assuring all cannabis products are free from contamination risk at all stages; from Intake to fulfillment

- Preparing and managing the team in tracking all activities and work performed in MERTC: including package creation and tracking, waste tracking, harvest Intake, and harvest batch tracking

The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day post-harvest work in accordance with standards set by the company. Provides direct support for all post-harvest associates, including schedules, training, policy and procedure updates, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedure including managing and tracking the harvest, dry, trim, cure, and packaging of product. Responsible for highest possible standards of work in post-harvest, maintaining facility compliance, and cleanliness in accordance with state regulations and standards set by the company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Implement good agricultural practices and follow all facility rules
- Keep good records and follow good documentation practices
- Keep good records of all practices implemented and data collected as pertaining to supervisor responsibilities
- Department KPI data collection and entry
- Train all post-harvest associates on department SOP's and changes to policy
- Oversee post-harvest production through all department related tasks
- Assure post-harvest associates are completing tasks as outline in SOP's efficiently.
- Oversee all post-harvest procedures from harvesting to bulk packaging, including harvesting, drying, curing, burping, room sanitation, equipment sanitation, bucking, packaging, etc.
- Monitoring of environmental conditions including, but not limited to, temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, VPD, etc.
- Scout dry and cure rooms for pests/disease and document on proper forms
- Operate and maintain post-harvest systems/equipment
- Help draft and update procedures relating to regulatory, training, quality, and compliance for post-harvesting
- Manage safe work conditions and practices within the harvest/post-harvesting area. Enforce company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies
- Clean, sanitize, and setup all post-harvest areas
- Maintain and ensure proper storage and sanitation of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacs, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, stools, totes, gloves, rags, and PPE gear
- Conduct trials to evaluate possible improvements to the crop
- Oversee daily trim room break down and clean up are followed and documentation is prepared and submitted as required
- With management team, helps develop processes and SOPs for data tracking across the cultivation, distribution and retail operations
- Perform regular audits as required
- Ensure post-harvest operation is fully compliant with state regulations and federal and state law.
- Assure that all operations adhere to business and industry license requirements.
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in post-harvest and document production by completing forms, reports, logs, and records as required.

Position Summary/Objective

JOB DESCRIPTION: Post Harvest Manager
SUMMARY
The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for maintaining product quality through the drying, trimming, and testing processes. This position will oversee a team of Post-Harvest Agents in properly handling and trimming product as it becomes available. The Post-Harvest Manager will also serve as the primary interface between the facility and external testing labs to ensure all product is tested and upholds the company’s high standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume responsibility for plants immediately following a harvest
- Accurately and consistently maintain the tracking and movement of each harvest batch via the statewide monitoring system (METRC)
- Oversee drying process, monitor environmental variables and moisture content of product
- Ensure the dry rooms are properly sanitized following transfer to trimming
- Record all cleaning activities in the sanitation log
- Lead the product trimming process to ensure that a high level of quality is maintained while focusing on the efficiency and productivity of the trimming team.
- Make sure that all trimming equipment, including tables, handheld trimmers, and other small items, are properly sterilized before and after trimming activity
- Accurately record the weights of all product as it moves through the process in the statewide monitoring system
(METRC)
- Coordinate with Compliance to ensure product is properly batched, sampled and tested
- Maintain a proficient knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and fungi
- Audit product inventory weekly or as necessary
- Oversee and manage disposal of all leftover plant material

ROLE SUMMARY
Post-Harvest Manager is accountable for all aspects of the tracking and quality production associated with post-harvest activities in the facility. The Post-Harvest Manager leads a team or Trimmers and Packagers. This role works closely with the Cultivation Manager and Operations Director to maintain harvest schedules and necessary inventory levels. This role completes tasks themselves as needed to ensure the safe, accurate and timely production of products. Often coordinates with other site leadership regarding inventory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee the drying room which includes implementing and overseeing specific operating procedures for environmental controls, monitoring of harvest batches, moisture analysis, quality assessment and quality controls.
· Ensure accurate inventory hand off from cultivation and maintain open communication with Cultivation Manager on any inventory challenges, issues or feedback.
· Oversee flower manicuring department which includes implementing and overseeing standard operating procedures including accurate inventory transfer from the drying room, ensuring appropriate moisture content for proper flower storage, quality assessment of flower, hand trim vs machine trim assessment.
· Tracking and rating batches of flower for bud quality, size, density, machine trim results and other relevant data points.
· Reporting daily to Cultivation Manager and Operations Director, using a pre-made electronic form.
· Perform inventory Audits weekly, monthly and quarterly.
· Record information about plant health and growth at each harvest.
· Ensure a high standard of quality during all harvest processes.
· Ensure adequate staffing for departments to operate 7 days a week.
· Ensure proper training and development of employees under direct supervision.
· Clean work areas and maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standards.
· Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Good Production Practices (GPP) or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
· Maintaining a continuous focus on safety, injury prevention in all aspects of production work.
· Motivate and encourage through positive communication and feedback.
· Oversee and manage the packaging department inclusive of all aspects relating to compliance, quality assurance and ensuring there is sufficient packaging materials onsite.
· Responsible for communicating with proper channels to reorder packaging supplies and communicate with compliance if regulatory changes regarding packaging are made at the state level.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Production Horticulture degree or a degree in Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture, or equivalent commercial growing experience would be preferred
· Two years of prior nursery, landscaping, and/or cultivation experience
· General knowledge of weights and measures
· Knowledge and experience with large scale commercial plant cultivation preferred Strong understanding of genetics and plant care including a comprehensive knowledge of flower strains.
· Knowledge of techniques and equipment for planting, growing and harvesting medical cannabis products
· Strong attention to detail and safety
· Ability to work in varying conditions
· Experience with inventory control methods
· Follow all safety standards and abide by PPE requirements

Objective:
The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for all post-harvest activities including, but not limited to harvest, trimming, curing, quality control, packaging, product transfer facilitation, and waste processing/reporting. This individual is also responsible for the management of employees implementing the tasks described above.
A key responsibility of this position is to ensure the safety of all consumer products by designing, implementing, and tracking strategic facility sanitation practices.
Requirements:

- Minimum of 1 year of Commercial Cannabis Cultivation Facility experience.

Duties and Expectations:

- Review productivity measurements including trimming productivity, delivery times, net production, material usage, spoilage and quality.
- Develop and implement operational workflow and standard operating procedures for all post-harvest positions, monitor effectiveness, and update as needed.
- Must maintain a culture of professionalism at all times.
- Project and communicate production levels over time and assist Facility Manager in identifying strategies to maximize available resources.
- Implement safe and compliant product storage and quality control strategies to combat pests, mold, powdery mildew, fungus, and other contaminants.
- Catalogue and analyze all post-harvest strains to identify those that will enhance productivity and quality. Communicate such data to the Head Grower/Grow Manager.
- Source cost-effective and environmentally sustainable packaging supplies.
- Manage and maintain post-harvest inventory management documentation.
- Hire, train, facilitate post-harvest employee disciplinary action, and terminate employment as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of LARA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA,) Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA,) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA,) Worker Protection Standards (WPS,) and Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development regulations.
- Design and implement procedures to operate, clean, and store equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Must maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of facility sanitation standards.
- Oversee the reporting of required inventory management data in Metrc.
- Effectively manage and maintain relevant facility records according to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Foster a positive and communicative work environment.

- Assist the Facility HR Administrator with the maintenance of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA,) Michigan Occupational Health and Safety Administration (MIOSHA,) Compliance Strategies and required documentation.

- Facilitate training for post-harvest staff when necessary.

- Assist with employee inquiries regarding post-harvest operations and best practices.
- Communicate resource and staffing needs to the Facility Manager and HR Administrator as needed.

Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate operational professional to join our company as a Post Harvest Packaging Manager to be responsible for managing the preparation of medical Cannabis products for distribution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing and monitoring all harvests, weights and measurements; presentation; and maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the trimming and processing area.
- Manage inventory of bulk and prepackaged products. Set Up appropriate inventory levels, ensure proper quantity of packages/products to meet production requirements.
- Interview and train new associates; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; develop teams and team leads for results and retention.
- Manage schedules of staff.
- Making sure all Labeling and recording of inventory data into inventory tracking system is done in compliance with the State regulations.
- Responsible for Quality Control and maintenance of all packaging equipment.
- Ensure daily compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to; state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity levels through efficiencies in human capital, reduction of material waste, and elimination of downtime; continue to develop and improve safety program and best practices
- Produce appropriate weekly and monthly reports to leadership team
- Liaison with logistics, dispensary operations staff
- Take instructions and help out on tasks delegated by the cultivation management team.
- Work in a fast-pace environment where major changes are made quickly
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the state; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and laws is appreciated and commendable.
- Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges.
- Experience in horticulture, botany, chemistry or related field preferred but not required.
- Ability to manage all areas related to harvesting, drying, trimming and curing.
- Ability to manage a team of employees.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of trimming & packaging area.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred & 2-year management experience preferred and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Strong knowledge & comfort with basic computer & office equipment operations (inventory systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems).
- Math required for inventory, projections, and measurements.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritize.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to focus; attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and calmly.
- Skills at using computers, web browsers, Google Apps.
