This position is based in our Tolleson, AZ facility and extends to all Arizona Grow operations, the Safety and Compliance manager is the “head” of the Safety and Compliance department of all Arizona sites.
Safety and Compliance Manager Skills: OSHA security managers must be detail-oriented to carefully monitor the activities and environment of a work site. This requires you to pay attention to even the smallest of elements to adequately evaluate the situation. Once you gather details, you must be able to assess them for potential Safety and Compliance issues.
Problem-solving is another important skill for Safety and Compliance managers. When issues are identified, you must find quick and adequate solutions. Your communication skills are also important in training employees about Safety and Compliance measures.
Everyday Tasks: Safety and Compliance managers spend a lot of their time observing and gathering information about the company's Safety and Compliance status. ROLE:
The Cultivation Technicians will be responsible for the harvest of the plants, which will include de-leafing, cutting down of the plants, hanging the plants and spraying the plants and transferring the harvested plants to the drying room. Duties will also include maintaining a clean and healthy environment within the zone for the plants and for fellow associates and will remove the spent pots and clean the area of harvest. The Cultivation Attendant will be responsible for spraying the plants after being trained in spraying techniques and being trained in the use of pesticide spraying. Cultivation Attendant must execute their duties and maintain a productive work environment and strive to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for manicuring, cleaning and staking plants.
- Responsible for transplanting, pre-harvesting, and harvesting in preparation for processing.
- Effectively and efficiently wash and clean pots and other required daily items.
- Assist with daily tasks in reproductive, vegetative, and flowering stages.
- Cleans vents, hoods, racking, cloners, and walls in the facility.
- Capable of completing all relevant repetitive tasks regularly and consistently with a high level of attention to care.
- Cooperate and assist other cultivation leads and associates in the areas of climate, irrigation, growing techniques, production trials, labor savings techniques, and in any areas where assistance is required and as requested by other growers, maintenance, and management.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize direct, control and coordinate all activities for workers in cannabis post-harvest departments including harvest, drying, curing, trimming, packaging, and product transfer.
- Continual improvement and process optimization of all post-harvest departments. Creation and maintenance of production/efficiency reports.
- Planning and organizing cannabis drying/curing and packaging schedules, ensuring proper quality control and compliance every step of the way.
- Supervise and evaluate performance of post-harvest personnel (quality inspectors, quotas, workers etc.)
- Conduct recruitment efforts for all nonexempt personnel and temporary employees as well as exit interviews for post-harvest personnel.
- Monitor labor and production to ensure the required efficiencies are in place.
- Maintain labor percentages within agreed upon budgets.
- Interface with Inventory, Logistics, Laboratory, Dry/Cure and Packaging to optimize production flow through post-harvest operations.
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines required by upper management and needs of dispensaries.
- Monitor harvest/post-harvest procedures to resolve issues.
- Assess projects and determine necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.)
- Ensure production requirements are analyzed and work is assigned based upon the capacity to achieve production schedule and departmental objectives.
- Provide other departments with production completion forecasts monthly. Develop daily, weekly and monthly plans.
- Oversee and direct department cleanliness, sanitation, and order.

AMMA’s Inventory Clerk position is responsible for inventory cycle counting, verification of required documentation and product counts for intake by conducting daily audits of inventory, tracking and distribution of product. Responsibilities also include accounting and reporting inventory surplus, product returns, waste, damages, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and procedures. This role also manages the menu for the location, focusing on the most accurate and up to date information to be provided to our patients. This role requires significant attention to detail, as there are multiple different batch numbers per product that have to be sorted through and counted.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; track orders and paperwork.
- Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Receives, unpacks and label products; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
- May lead, guide and train employees performing related work.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Manage all menus for the assigned locations.
- Add/remove the product from each of the menus (online platforms and in-store platforms) dependent on inventory stock.
- Update online platforms to help promote product sales.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- AM shift- responsible for daily stock count, and research following the count.
- PM shift-responsible for pre-counting product at end of shift.

The Cultivation Attendant will be responsible for cloning, transplanting, pruning, manicuring, de-leafing, and harvesting plants. - Assist in developing new product lines.

Role and Responsibilities
The Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician will be responsible for completing daily operations, planning, organizing, controlling, process optimization and coordinating the activities of post-harvest teams in accordance with corporate SOPs and all occupational safety and health standards established by the Occupational Safety and Health Act, state and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Complete tasks in cannabis post-harvest departments including harvest, drying, curing, trimming, packaging, and product transfer.
- Continual improvement and process optimization of all post-harvest departments.
- Ensuring proper quality control and compliance every step of the way.
- Monitor labor and production to ensure the required efficiencies are in place.
- Maintain labor percentages within agreed upon budgets.
- Interface with Inventory, Logistics, Laboratory, Dry/Cure and Packaging to optimize production flow through post-harvest operations.
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines required by upper management and needs of dispensaries.

Job Description and Duties
Per CCR 249.3, this job control may be used to fill subsequent vacancies.
Effective July 1, 2020, State employees are subject to a 9.23% salary reduction in exchange for up to 16 hours per month of the Personal Leave Program 2020 (PLP 2020).
This is a 24 months limited term position with the potential to become permanent.
Under the direction of the Supervising Special Investigator I, the Special Investigator conducts inspections, investigations, administrative enforcement actions, and other duties related to compliance and enforcement of California laws and regulations governing the cultivation of cannabis. The incumbent applies State laws and regulations relating to the cultivation of cannabis; determines compliance with track-and-trace requirements for the movement and transfer of cannabis and cannabis products; analyzes situations accurately; and takes an effective course of action. Additionally, the incumbent prepares and issues Notices of Violation (NOV) and prepares clear and concise investigative reports and administrative enforcement documentation and testifies at administrative hearings, civil proceedings and/or criminal proceedings.

Working Conditions
The duties of this position are conducted 40% indoors and 60% outdoors (percentages are an estimate). The incumbent will be assigned a state vehicle (equipped with GPS technology), laptop computer, printer, cellular phone, and other tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform the required job functions. The incumbent is expected to spend four days per week in the field. Shift start and finish time may vary based on operational need of work (i.e., travel, search warrants, surveillance, etc.). Overtime may be required.
If the incumbent does not live within the position’s designated home office area (see below), the assigned vehicle will be parked at a department designated location (usually a CalFire Station or state or local government office) within the position’s designated home office area (which will become the employee headquarters for travel purposes). If the employee lives within the department designated home office areas for this position, they will be issued a home storage permit to park their assigned vehicle at their home and their home address will be their headquarters address for travel purposes. The incumbent’s primary working area will be within Region 1. (See Attachment A.)
Humboldt County will be considered for the designated home office area.
During activities while in the field, the incumbent may be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dirt, odors, noise, fumes, uneven surfaces, extreme weather conditions, and fast-moving equipment. Should be able to perform strenuous hikes on foot over rough and rural terrain where unlicensed cannabis cultivation activities occurs, carry 25lbs, wear a tactical vest weighing 20lbs for long periods of time (8-10 hrs), and operate a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
Travel by state vehicle throughout the State is required on a routine basis. Travel by state vehicle or other public transportation systems to various locations throughout the state will be required on a regular basis and may be on short notice to assist other CalCannabis Investigators on enforcement actions. Incumbent should expect travel outside of normal regional assignment 25% of the time; participate in regular early hour operational briefings; and work extended hours when on various operations. Investigations may require extended periods of surveillance and sitting.
Title 11, Section 703(d) California Code of Regulations requires that all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) or serving as a back-up to a Special Investigator I - CEP, be fingerprinted and subject to a background investigation through the Department of Justice. Applicants for this position/examination must comply with this requirement and be cleared before hiring. Employees/candidates who do not pass DOJs background check will not be authorized for hire to this position.

Department Information
CDFA is statutorily mandated to establish a Cannabis Cultivation Licensing Program (CalCannabis). As required by the Medicinal and Adult-Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (MAUCRSA), CalCannabis will license the cultivation of indoor and outdoor cannabis, with consideration given to size and location of the operation; establish a track-and-trace program that uniquely identifies cannabis plants and enables licensing authorities to track cannabis through the distribution chain; work in consultation with other state agencies to adopt environmental remediation regulations; and consider and implement best practices. Current law also includes the authority to conduct compliance verification inspections, enforcement language, and provisions to promulgate regulations and report program activities to the Legislature.
