Hydrocarbon Extraction Tech entry position available for cannabis processing manufacturer. The position is suitable for those looking to work in a clean, organized, and structured environment. You will be working with a small team of lab techs who will show you how we operate everything from the running/repair of the instruments to the distillation of THC. Reliable and hard-working candidates apply. Hydrocarbon extraction experience is not required but will be helpful.

The candidate should be creative in terms of gaining consumer insights, testing concepts, receiving and integrating sales team feedback from retail and other sources into the marketing mix (i.e., create an environment of constant learning and improvement). The Role
Leverage consumer and market insights and marketing expertise to successfully identify, develop and execute marketing plans for new products and brand campaigns including product architecture, product launch process and go-to-market strategy.
Conduct regular, strategic business reviews to analyze trends, category performance, and identify opportunity areas and present recommendations to the leadership team and trade partners.
Forecast and monitor sell-in and sell-through to meet and/or react to business needs.

Leverage data to inform decision-making for strategy development and adjustments as necessary.
Your Skills
- 5+ years relevant marketing experience in a top CPG/food/alcohol/beauty industry or similar organization strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of retail and how to influence the purchasing decision at the point of sale.
- Possess a solid grasp of packaging, and “through the line” design and promotional techniques.
- Strong organization, planning, and creative thinking skills with the ability to manage to tight deadlines.

Job Description
The Director of Cultivation will work closely with corporate executive team on a strategic level to oversee all aspects of cultivation, create policies and procedures for the cultivation department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, direct and implement the big picture operations for multiple large-scale corporate grow facilities, which include propagation, transplanting, feeding, cropping, flushing, spraying and trimming flowers.
- Continually work to improve the operational capabilities and outputs of all growing locations and lead a team of cultivation professionals.
- Develop and execute grow methodologies, strain genetics, tissue culture protocols for indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse cannabis production.
- Responsible for developing and executing long term production plans and delivers on key production metrics set by the company.
- Collaborates with other departments to effectively execute cultivation programs.
- Assess multi-state potential cultivation assets for potential investment and corporate growth purposes, including the planning, recruiting and supervising of multiple cultivation facilities.
- Works closely with department heads on planning and budgeting of cultivation programs.
- Ensures all projects are completed on-time and on-budget and communicates with upper management and third-party resources as necessary.
- Takes responsibility and initiative in the smooth running of all cultivation operations.

- Create the corporate integrated pest management and sanitization programs to ensure the highest quality and yields while minimizing losses to insects and disease.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Plant Science, Agronomy, Plant Biology, Horticulture, or related degree required with a master's degree preferred.
- 5-7+ years commercial agriculture experience required.
- Previous cannabis grow experience required with tissue culture, strain selection and management preferred.
- Management experience in production agriculture business is highly desirable.
- Ability to closely track budget, cost of goods, understand cannabis market product pricing, and maintain high-quality vendor relationships where needed.
- Must be a strong leader with an acute business sense.
- Experience with various grow mediums and irrigation methods.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs sample preparation in state-licensed cannabis laboratory. Brings a senior level of experience and is open to both learning more and sharing knowledge with others. Job Description:
The Senior Processing Manager is responsible for managing, operating, and reporting on, a state-of-the-art, compliant, C1D1 and C1D2 volatile and non-volatile extraction/processing facility. The Processing Manager will create the process flow, staff schedule, production schedule, and SOPS of the lab as well as help establish the formulations that will drive the department.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee production by creating and reviewing a production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant materials and supplies for extraction;

- Develop cannabis concentrates and other consumer-facing cannabis products derived from cannabis extraction and processing
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master’s of Science degree in a scientific area
- Ph.D. in organic chemistry or biochemistry would be considered an asset but not mandatory
- Publications and/or patents in the fields of organic chemistry or biochemistry would be considered assets but not mandatory
- Hands-on experience in cannabis extraction with CO2 is required
- Hands-on experience in cannabis extraction with ethanol and hydrocarbon is a plus
- Experience developing and optimizing crystallization methods
- Experienced practicing in an industrial chemistry environment
- Hands-on experience with cannabinoid purification
- Hands-on experience with chemical synthesis would be considered an asset
- Ability to prioritize multiple project deliverables with high attention to detail
- Proven ability to plan and organize process/product development projects
- Experience launching cannabis-derived consumer-facing products/brands in the concentrate/edible category is a plus
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient using MS Office software

Position Summary: This position is responsible for managing a team of trimmers responsible for manicuring wet or dry flower from stalk and break down of plants to process/trim them to meet Company quality standards. Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for tracking the batches that are trimmed, including the final finished product, the usable by-product amount (trim), and the un-usable by-product (waste) according to Company policy and practices, as well as state and local regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Implement standards and best practices to breakdown flower from stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch
- After breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower
- Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking
- Employee must exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills
- Employee must be able to work well independently, as well as with others
- Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of cannabis they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality
- Time management; employee must manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality product
- Employee must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can help maintain quality standards and production goals

Responsibilities
- Oversee the cultivation, processing, and packaging facilities as it relates to maintenance, scheduling, staffing, productivity, efficiency, inventory oversight and management.
- Construction: manage vendors to perform various work including camera, electrical, and security system installations.
- Permitting & Government interaction: ensure proper submission of materials and information to relevant governing agencies
- Compliance: ensure adherence to regulations in that build outs are properly outfitted with reference to licensing and regulatory requirements
- Be responsible for facility maintenance:
- Work with plant management to ensure the maintenance of tasks ranging from equipment purchases to delivery and installation
- Manage waste / cleaning vendors to ensure that grounds are free of outdated materials, debris and trash, and maintain general cleanliness of the facilities
- Perform repairs during production and non-production hours, participate in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs
- Follow applicable building, county and safety codes and standards
- Report unsafe conditions, practices, operations, and defective equipment to VP Operations
- Complete and log all assigned work orders in a timely fashion
- Identify and repair general electrical, plumbing and appliance issues
- Manage on-site production equipment:
- Ensure all spare parts are readily available for production team
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
- Create a Preventative Maintenance schedule for all pieces of equipment
- Maintain and support the installation of production and facility equipment in accordance with safety guidelines, regulations, and SOPs
- Work closely with IT Director to ensure computers, fobs, phones are assigned to new employees, and collected at time of termination/resignation of other employees
- Work closely with Director of Security to ensure security procedures are adequate and being followed
- Work with VP Operations to troubleshoot any operational needs that are outside the production process
- Participate in developing and implementing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance the company’s mission, vision, goals and objectives.
- Manage, supervise, and direct the activities of maintenance staff and functions.
- Make recommendations and decisions regarding hiring, discipline, termination, or advancement of employees.
- Manage and maintain a company culture established by the Board focusing on accountability, transparency, and enjoyment.
Requirements
- BS/BA preferred, AA + relevant work experience required
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production setting required (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years of facility maintenance or similar experience
- Exposure to horticulture and or plant science or lab processing, a plus.
- Can-do attitude and ability to adapt quickly; business is experiencing rapid growth so previous operational experience in growth environment is substantially preferred.
