Accounts Receivable & Payables Specialist

POSITION: Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist - Los Angeles
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be required to review client account information, correct billing discrepancies, and ensure that accounts are properly billed and that payments are collected on time before bill due date.. This role requires individuals to keep a precise record of all incoming payments in QuickBooks, and to contact clients to ensure outstanding invoices are paid on time.
To succeed as an accounts receivable professional, you should be a skilled and thorough researcher with excellent communication and record-keeping skills. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with strong math and computer skills. You should have experience working in Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.
This position will be based out of our Los Angeles office and should reside in the LA Area.
Qualifications and Required Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, but we will consider experience in place of degree.
- Ideally 2-5 years’ experience in both an Accounts Receivable/Collections and Accounts Payable role.
- 2-5 years of Collections Experience
- Knowledge and experience using QuickBooks
- Multi-company experience is a must
- Excellent working knowledge of database and spreadsheet software, Excel
- Relevant and professional experience using email, phone, and Microsoft Teams.
- Expert-level experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle potential tense interactions with clients
- A desire and ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish daily goals
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain precise records of all incoming payments, maintaining the billing system
- Prepare and send invoices to clients
- Perform account reconciliations
- Contact clients as needed to ensure payments of outstanding invoices and maintain a complete and accurate record of all collection efforts; including any corrective arrangements and notes on the account.
- When needed, travel to client site to try and obtain payment and pick up monies due.
- Work as the collections department, to review accounts, obtain client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their overdue accounts.
- Audit all receipts and incoming/outgoing cash wires on a determined schedule to ensure accuracy in accounting
- Meeting or exceeding individual cash targets and call volume as needed on receivables.
- Generate and deliver reports to different departments and management as needed
- Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payments
- Work collaboratively with other accounting staff to ensure accuracy in finances
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

JOB DESCRIPTION – Environment Tech I
DEPARTMENT: Facilities
REPORTS TO: Environments Manager; Facilities Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Environment Tech I monitors the performance of the environmental control systems throughout both facilities. All environmental monitoring parameters are set forth by the Facilities Manager and followed up with daily reporting metrics. Environment Tech I’s possess a variety of skills such as HVAC, dehumidification, plumbing, and electrical skills that contribute to their duties as environmental technicians. Environment Tech I's are also responsible for some general maintenance that may occur on the premises.
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform minor building, Cleaning of HVAC units, minor plumbing, electrical and dehumidification repairs as necessary.
- Implement preventative maintenance measures on environmental control systems (temperature, humidity, and CO2 Levels).
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Complete a minimum of three checks/walks thru both facilities, (34 Grow rooms in total) in full during shift to ensure environmental conditions are on target and document levels
- Maintain equipment through the night such as barrels for humidification.
- Check CES environmental control system for alarms.
- Checks light levels in necessary rooms and double checking for safe operation/fire prevention.
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
- Provides documentation of environmental checks and helps prepare the end of day reports as well as the operational reports tfor management.
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Physically capable of lifting 30 pounds unassisted.
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools, dehumidification units, humidification units, a Par Meter, and a temperature heat gun.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel and MS Word, and Google Docs.
- Excellent documentation skills for end of day & operations reporting.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Able to work well with minimal supervision.

DELIVERY DRIVER in OAKLAND, SOUTH BAY, EAST BAY

REPORTS TO: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
POSTITION BASED OUT OF: OAKLAND, EAST BAY, or SOUTH BAY
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Deliver Driver will have both delivery driver and customer service experience, along with some product knowledge of cannabis. The driver will be responsible for driving product to and from delivery locations (dispensaries), professional communication with customers and internal employees, and strong attention to detail to complete delivery orders correctly and hold to production/delivery schedules.
JOB DUTIES:
- Drive product from Desert Underground Hub in Oakland to dispensary and distribution locations across Northern California.
- Become familiar with the products of flower produced.
- Review daily tasks to see what needs to be completed for the day.
- Checking in with department lead to get personal daily agenda and delivery routes
- Must review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied before leaving.
- Proper cash handling and acceptance of cash from dispensaries
- Ensure all vehicles are cleaned and properly maintained
- Keep detailed records on all vehicle maintenance and issues
- Complete all necessary paperwork (checklist, rejection sheet)
- Communicate with packaging and sales department to resolve product issues
- Communicate with dispensaries as needed about schedules
- Follow directions when assigned a task
- Conduct over all cleanliness of vehicle before delivery day starts and after each delivery is made.
- Checking in and out with Operations Manager when taking and/or leaving product and ensuring the products taken are documented.
- Adhering to all company policies
- Other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years’ experience as a Delivery Driver to commercial businesses.
- Must have experience driving scheduled routes, and adaptability to change or update routes as needed
- Professional communication with all customers and internal employees.
- Good time management and ability to achieve production goals and deadlines
- Follow routes and stick to time schedule. If you are going to be late or need to change delivery times, you must call the client to inform them.

JOB DUTIES:
- Review daily tasks to see what needs to be completed for the day; on average about 8 orders need to typically be completed each day.
- Be knowledgeable of company’s current promotions offerings available to customers
- Record and be up to date on all pertinent information on accounts, facilitate needed updates
- Create Delivery packet for each delivery
- Confirm that the order has been staged correctly for Driver to release to dispensary
- Before the package leaves the facility, confirm that the Metrc manifest matches the Purchase Order-
- Sticker and close all boxes to make sure they are ready for delivery
- Create and place QR or Barcodes on products as needed.
- Input purchase order data into various spreadsheets using EXCEL.
- Create Delivery Packet for Delivery driver- including the most efficient route possible
- Send email to client confirming delivery date and time
- Send email to sales rep informing them of delivery date
- File and organize all previous orders
- Upload order history to Salesforce
- Maintain and update account information within Salesforce as needed
- Build great relationships with existing and potential customers
- Be knowledgeable in specifics of company and company products to assist with sales
- Ensure over the phone, face to face and or written communications with customers represent the company’s culture, values, and practices.
- Become familiar with customer needs and ensure they are met
- Be in constant contact with customers via phone/email
- Respond to customer issues, questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Manager as needed.

This individual will be responsible for meeting directed company objectives (i.e., sales goals, KPI’s, brand awareness, etc.), building and maintaining long lasting relationships with key customers/accounts, creating profitable sales plans and promotions to drive brand sales/awareness and be an active part of the cannabis movement in Los Angeles.
JOB DUTIES:
- Build, develop and maintain key relationships to increase sales in current medicinal marijuana dispensaries within account range by finding added value solutions
- Must be able to be comfortable with cold call selling to hit prospect accounts in order to build total company sales
- Meet sales targets, KPI’s and brand objectives through collaboration and sales strategies with customers
- Manage and maintain customers account balance, schedule, and collect payments to make sure customers credit terms are kept up to date and paid on time
- Learn, provide, and teach cannabis knowledge (market & medical) to dispensary managers and budtenders
- Work with teams within the company (i.e., Security, farm, inventory, etc.) to develop logical solutions to increase work efficiency
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3-5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in a cannabis on a wholesale or key account level.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required if you have cannabis outside sales experience.
- Prior cannabis industry strongly preferred. Must have Knowledge of cannabis health benefits and cannabis products.
- Experience making cold calls
- Superb communication skills – verbal and in writing
- Superior time management, organization, and efficient skill set.

Position Overview:
In this role, you will be required to review account information, correct discrepancies, and ensure that accounts are properly billed and that payments are collected. This role requires individuals to keep a precise record of all incoming payments in QuickBooks, and to make contact with clients to ensure outstanding invoices are paid on time.
To succeed as an accounts receivable professional, you should be a skilled and thorough researcher with excellent communication and record-keeping skills. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with strong math and computer skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain precise records of all incoming payments, maintaining the billing system
- Prepare and send invoices to clients
- Perform account reconciliations
- Contact clients as needed to ensure payments of outstanding invoices and maintain a complete and accurate record of all collection efforts; including any corrective arrangements and notes on the account.
- Work as the collections department, to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their overdue accounts.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for personnel management, all post-harvest activity including product quality, efficiencies, inventory organization, drying, trimming, and the testing process. This position is also responsible for pushing performance, setting quality standards, streamlining processes, and overall approval of the final product. The Post-Harvest Manager will interact with various department leaders including cultivation, sales, procurement, and Metrc, while reporting daily numbers and quality data to the executive team. They will lead continuous improvement efforts in company operations and the overall quality of our products. While cannabis experience is a big advantage, most important is that you have strong team management, good interpersonal cohesion, experience tracking department data, and a knack for implementing efficiencies through our post-harvest process.
JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for all post-harvest departments, associates, and processes including dry-cure, trim, bucking, sorting, and packaging departments.
- Provide updates to Sales, CEO and Operations Executives regarding product quality and amounts and be available to provide updates in real-time.
- Maintaining an up-to-date Post Harvest schedule and guiding current batches through the process.
- Responsible for reporting on Inventory to management.
- Manage all inventory of harvested cannabis material through the post-harvest process, including dry-cure, trim, bucking, sorting and packaging departments.
- Maintain Post Harvest productivity tracking system through each stage of the process to measure efficiency, performance, and report on success.
- Responsible for contacting testing lab and scheduling a pickup for testing.
- Manage all personnel schedules, training and development, and daily activities and quotas.
- Follow all rules and regulations for harvest and inventory management including wet weight measurements, dry weight measurements, and harvest batch requirements as set forth by the State of California regulations.
- Ensure that all finished cannabis is being packaged according to our standard labeling requirements, being reported appropriately in our track and trace systems (METRC), and being communicated to the larger
- Interact and work with Sales, Cultivation, Metric, Procurement, Operations and any or all departments to improve processes & implement efficiencies.

· Host demos/PADs to get the word out about our product line, upcoming SKUs, and events
· Conduct sampling for dispensary staff, patients, and customers to familiarize them with the Desert Underground’s brand and products
· Obtains video and photo content of in store demos and services to post on Instagram and promote dispensary's highlights of our products
· Sells products at demos through budtender and consumer education
· Engage in every opportunity with customers to explain the benefits of Desert Undergrounds’ products.
· Connecting with account managers regularly to complete tasks and exchange information about accounts
· Manages all Visual Merchandising and product placement within all assigned dispensary accounts
· Supports the marketing department with budget management; process and track invoices, reconcile and supply monthly accrual reports

POSITION OVERVIEW:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

As a METRC Technician you will help to ensure compliance with California track and trace requirements. Duties will include inputting data into METRC, auditing inventory, and following department SOPs and state guidelines regarding the cannabis inventory.

- Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems as preventative maintenance
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Salesperson will be a driven individual with a proven successful sales background and a passion for cannabis. This position will help grow and facilitate wholesale and retail sales within the cannabis market. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Salesperson will be a driven individual with a proven successful sales background and a passion for cannabis. This position will help grow and facilitate wholesale and retail sales within the cannabis market. This individual will be responsible for meeting directed company objectives (i.e., sales goals, KPI’s, brand awareness, etc.), building and maintaining long lasting relationships with key customers/accounts, creating profitable sales plans and promotions to drive brand sales/awareness and be an active part of the cannabis movement. JOB DUTIES
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain punctual attendance

SHIFT & PAY DETAILS
FULL TIME SHIFT SCHEDULE
- Shifts available for 4 days a week, 10 hours/day
- We also run shifts that are 8 hours/day, 5 days a week
- We also have Part-Time opportunities - especially on Friday's, Sat's and Sundays!
- If you want Part-Time work only, we will work with you to determine the best schedule. We ask that you be able to work a minimum of 20+ hours a week
PART TIME OPPORTUNITIES
- Part Time shifts available on Fridays, Sat’s, Sundays and Mondays. – We ask that you work between 20-30 hours/week.

- Record keeping/logging of daily pesticide use reports to the Department of Pesticide Regulation.
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain prompt timing of execution with the weekly IPM Schedule.
- Perform any other duties that may be required pertaining to the optimization of our final product crop.

We are currently seeking a full-time METRC Tech.
JOB DUTIES:
· Data entry into METRC system.
· Cycle counting of plant inventory.
· Check in with morning lead to receive daily direction.
· Follow directions when assigned a task
· Checking in and out with leads when going to and from breaks
· Adhering to all company policies
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be coachable with the ability to learn new tasks quickly
· Ability to work well with a team while demonstrating a professional and respectful demeanor towards others
· Experience working in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail
· Must be motivated, focused, and have a strong work ethic
· Ability to adapt to change and shifting priorities
· Must have a California ID
· Ability to pass a DOJ Live Scan
· Must be 21+ years of age
