Job Description: Master Grower
Our Master Grower will work in tandem with our current grower who is a 3rd generation grower, trained with the knowledge of the generations before him. Knowledge of specific plants we grow would be excellent, but we are willing to train and teach. Our top plants are easter lilies and poinsettias, but we also grow a variety of other plants such as hydrangeas, succulents, begonias, petunias, ivies, jews, new guinea impatients, azaleas, bulbs, and more.
Specific job responsibilities would be managing the full life cycle of our plants, from purchase of cuttings, bulbs, roots, or seeds, and growing and maintaining a healthy plant. Growers would need to constantly monitor for pests and create treatment plans as they arise, as well as make sure temperature, humidity, ventilation, and light conditions are always optimal for healthy growing. Growers will also help plan out, schedule, and execute future growing cycles.
We seek an individual with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture, and specializing in an area such as general agriculture, crop production, or plant pathology.

Company History & Grower Needs
Southland Greenhouses is a local, family owned and operated business that is located in Cobb County. Established in 1980 by Emil & Lorraine Helbling, Southland has succeeded in remaining highly profitable throughout 4 decades, many economic crises, and the international pandemic. After Emil’s death in 2003, he was succeeded in ownership by his 3 sons. Now, after 42 years in business the brothers are set for retirement and excitingly, Southland Greenhouses is headed into its 3rd generation of ownership with Emil’s granddaughter and her husband taking the reins. With this transition of retirement and ownership change comes some obvious challenges and one is that we are in need of a Master Grower to assist our current Grower.
Company Overview
Southland Greenhouses is a premier grower and supplier of household plants in the Southeast. Within a 100-mile radius, we hold the market in store-to-door foliage delivery. We have 6 delivery routes that run from south Atlanta and into north Georgia, as well as into Alabama, Tennessee, and North and South Carolinas. These routes deliver plants to hundreds of small businesses, mainly florists and flower shops. We also have a few corporate customers such as Kroger and Pikes. While the majority of our plants are delivered, we also offer in-house pick-ups for local customers.
In addition to our sales routes, we hold bi-annual fundraisers with local schools and organizations based around Spring and Winter (Easter and Christmas respectively). We also offer separate sales to churches during these seasons. These fundraisers and sales are focused on the sales of our hand grown blooming plants such as Easter lilies, poinsettias, and a large variety of hanging baskets. On average, we grow around 50,000 poinsettias, 30,000 Easter lilies and 30,000 hanging baskets each year. We also grow and assortment of bulbs, cacti & hydrangeas, as well as other plants. Our tropical foliage is imported weekly from Florida and offered to our customers year-round; this supplies profits during the Summer and Fall seasons.
Lastly, in recent years, the emergence of Covid encouraged Southland Greenhouses to also hold a short Spring sale to the public at our outdoor plant stand. This 4–6-week sale in March and April is very successful. So, while we are predominantly a wholesale provider, we do offer sales to the public during certain seasons and hope to see these sales grow in duration and profitability in the future.

We recently merged with Conway South Carolina-based Palmetto Harmony to create the first certified-organic vertically-integrated flower-to-bottle supply chain. Master Grower of Both Indoor, and Greenhouse Grow in Oklahoma
Commercial Grow in Oklahoma
It’s time to grow marijuana legally in Oklahoma. If your tired of getting your crops burned, seized, or not able to sell your product because of a saturated industry then please read the entire post. We are looking for a master grower of both indoor, and greenhouse grow. We also want to find a processor but this job will be posted in a separate job title. This will be a % percentage split on the grow for your income. We can grow an unlimited amount of plants here in Oklahoma legally. This is good for you. And of course you can make a lot of money. What we call Okie Growers here in Oklahoma are only able to grow GREENHOUSE weed that smells like farm hay.
What you have to work with:
- We have 3 dispensary license in OKC currently. Two of the dispensaries are now producing a profit and we are ready to launch the 3rd dispensary. We plan to expand and grow the dispensary business into 8 locations in the OKC and Tulsa area. This will make it easy for the partnership to sell our products.
- 17.5 acre farm that is cleared and flat. It has 2 pounds, 1 well, 1 septic, 1 propane, trailer hookups (electrical, gray tank and black tank), and a 3.5 bedroom house for you to live in on property. The property is secluded and hard to notice from the main road.
- 40 x 40 metal building has power ran that is separate power from the house. It also have plumbing, water, and restroom that can be used.
- 3 phase power: 3 phase is just .4 of a mile down the street so it will not cost much to get it installed. I believe it will cost me under 10K to get installed.
- Our property is 40 drive minutes from OKC. Their are large towns that are a quick drive to so you won’t feel like your to far out in the country.
- Oklahoma has zero restrictions on one company owning a processor license, grows, or dispensaries.
- Greenhouses: We have on order two 2500 sq feet green houses. Once of the green houses is a fully automated blackout green house and the second one is a none blackout green house.
- Kitchen: I also have a fully industrial kitchen at another location.
- I have all the licenses to run the business. You will work under my licenses.
- We also plan to build our own custom made green houses on the property.
- I currently have 1 dispensary that is not up and running. I would also work out a 25% ownership in the dispensary if you are interested and have the money to make it happen. You can own legally
- Almost free rent for the housing. I will require you to pay something just to keep the property intact. Oklahoma has the lowest rent price in the country. So imaging paying 1/16 of what you would in California.
Job Requirement:
- Salary: % split on the grow. We can work out the details in a phone conversation.
- Experience: at least 5 years of growing experience.
- Language: I am open to English, Spanish, or anything google can translate.
- Location: One location in Oklahoma.
- Relocation Assistance: This can be discussed in a phone conversation. About Me
About Me:
I have been a promoter for over 20 years and have produced a million dollar business that is incredible hard for anyone in the promotion business. I will share the business I created when we talk over the phone. Trust me you will be impressed with what I created out of nothing. I would like to make the weed business into a 50 million dollar business. I cannot and do not see any reason why this cannot be achieved. I am very good at creating products and marketing them. As a promoter I learned marketing and have a professional understanding of what sales and how to sale it. We have more dispensary license in Oklahoma then Oregon and Colorado combined. It is competitive and we have carved out a nitch here and made the two dispensaries a success. We are only 6 months in the game. Looking forward to another 6 months.
Business Model:
The recipe here is doing everything in-house and that included growing, processing, making carts, making shatter, and edibles. We can do it all. When we have 8 dispensaries we wont have any problem selling the products to the dispensaries that we own.
Prices of Cannibas now:
Currently 95% of the growers here do not know how to grow top shelf weed in Oklahoma. They think it is top shelf but is more like a upper middle shelf. The price of top shelf indoor is $2500 unit. The price for outdoor is about $700 (hay smelling) to $1300 a unit. Understand that the Oklahoma pig farmers do not know how to grow like a pro. That is why I am searching for my next business parter to make some DANK GAS green house weed. I was raised here in Oklahoma and can tell you that Okies are cheaper then 2 coats of paint. So keeping the price down will get the bargain ounces out the door really fast through the dispensaries I own.
Qualifications Questions:
- Can you provide proof that you can grow great Cannibas?
- Do you have an operation that I can come out and observed?
- Do you references of companies that you worked for? Can I contact them?
- Can you relocate and not have to return to your home state consistently?
- Do you have an alcohol problem or meth problem? Lets save each other a lot of time because I do not want to get involved with you if you do. I would have to stop what we are doing in the middle of the process.
- No mafia degenerates please. I will require a background check on all that apply. I understand no one is perfect in this business so I want to keep the real bad guys out.
- Do you have money to relocate?
- Do have have any equipment like green houses , tractors, lighting, etc?
- Can you do electrician work?
- Can you do plumbing work?
- Can you do construction work which includes building green houses?
- Are you ready to relocate within the next 30 days?
*
If you are serious about this please contact. If you not stay home and play it safe. We need to plant very soon to take advantage of the new season.
