We are currently seeking a full-time Head of Security Officer to join our team and help us in this mission.
Responsibilities Include:
Physical Security Management
Scheduling:
- Public Events
- Timecards and time off for guards
- Time to meet with managers and leaders to address security related issues
- Projects involving other third-party companies involved in security
- You will be required to base out of Brigham City and schedule pharmacy visits at least once per week.
- You will be required to be at the Brigham City Facility no later than 0550 every morning unless otherwise excused, in order to include yourself in the facilities meetings with both Cultivation at 0600 and Processing at 0830.
Communication:
- Briefs (biweekly security briefs to Director of Security)
- Meetings (Weekly Meeting with Director of Security)
- Daily Communication with Department Managers & Guards
- Weekly Guard Email (Update the guards on all changes and expectations)
- What we’ve learned from the prior week
- What we can do better
- Addressing any abnormal scheduling the coming week. (Training, covering each other’s shifts, events, bad weather forecasts)
Relationship upkeep:
- You are the bulldog or as we call it in the military, “boots-on-ground leader”. You will be focused on keeping the quality control of our guards and keeping constant improvement amongst them. This will allow for me to focus on strategy from a higher viewpoint while you focus on tactics and keeping the team operating at peak levels. You need to be the first line of communication for the level 1, 2 & 3 guards. You will lead by example and try to be as diplomatic as is allowed per situation.
Quality Control:
- This will require a weekly random post inspection for each guard. In each guard book there will be a pass or fail inspection log. If the guards fail 2 times in a row, it requires a sit down/ written warning with both of us. If they fail a 3rd, they will be terminated.
- You and the Director of Security will both do random inspections, off hours, to ensure that the guards know not to fall asleep or become complacent.
- The guards will be required to be well groomed and have proper hygiene. They are the first face seen by visitors including state auditors. They need to be the most professional and have the best customer service. Remember, proper customer service decreases security issues by at least 30%.
Logbook Inspections:
- You will need to make sure that the logs are being filled out every 30 minutes with some form of detail.
- You will need to check daily that the visitor and employee logs are being filled out properly.
- You will need to ask random questions about SOPs and site-specific questions to ensure the guards are staying alert.
Technical Security:
- Audits (there are checklists already made to ensure that you remember what to audit)

JOB DUTIES
- Obtains approval granted by the state and checks patient certifications through the secure online portal.

JOB TITLE: Cultivation Technician (Outdoor Grow)
JOB OVERVIEW:
True North of Utah is looking for several Cultivation Technicians to join our team and help provide daily care of medical marijuana plants from planting to harvest, and from harvest to drying and processing the plants for shipment to the processing facility. The Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering and providing nutrients, cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the facility. Job Posting – Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for transactional accounting efforts for our health and wellness businesses. This person will support all accounting duties including month-end closing, cash reconciliation, production of monthly and quarterly financial statements, and various report generation.
Responsibilities include:
- Calculate and post monthly/annual accruals and maintain long-term debt schedule including calculation of accrued interest and current portion of long-term debt
- Manage all payroll transactions and reports (direct deposits, garnishments, loans, bonuses, PTO accrual, 941 reconciliation approaching overtime reports etc.) including all quarterly and year-end reporting
- Participate in timely and accurate reporting and account reconciliations for several companies and businesses
- Ability to identify trends and suggest resolutions for a complex highly regulated business
- Managing relationship and effectively communicating with all levels of management
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Previous experience working as a Staff Accountant for a fast paced, multi-unit business
- Expert knowledge of QuickBooks including experience managing monthly closing, payroll, vendor management, account receivables and reconciliation
- Experience working in Excel including creating detailed financial reports
- Leading payroll processing for a small business including preparing all payments to government agencies
- Ability to support multiple organizations and projects with competing priorities and business needs
- Willingness to work, learn and appreciate the complexities of the cannabis industry

Primary job responsibilities will be assisting in the hiring/firing process, training employees, equipment purchasing, and carrying the day to operations of cannabis cultivation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in plant biology, physiology, biological sciences, or agricultural sciences
- Demonstrated personnel management experience

JOB TITLE: Cultivation Technician
JOB OVERVIEW:
True North of Utah is looking for several Cultivation Technicians to join our team and help provide daily care of medical marijuana plants from planting to harvest, and from harvest to drying and processing the plants for shipment to the processing facility. The Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering and providing nutrients, cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the facility. The Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, curing and packaging of the plants. Detailed record keeping and strict adherence to the company’s operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations is essential for this position.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
* Daily care of medical marijuana plants, including watering, pruning and trimming, inspecting the plants.
* Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Dept. Lead.
* Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation.
* Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the medical marijuana plants, including hanging, curing and drying the plants.
* Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of grow facility and machinery; dispose of waste according to strict compliance guidelines.
* Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process. * Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures.
* Carefully follow directions as provided by the Dept. Lead.
* Willingness to continue to learn best practices of medical marijuana cultivation with a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture and greenhouse operating systems.
* Additional job duties as assigned.
