Vape and CBD/Cannabis Sales and Education (Full Time)
Smokeless Vape + CBD
Smokeless is looking to fill a full time position for ALL of our retail locations. The ideal candidate can travel to Burnsville/Bloomington/NE/ or Woodbury locations as needed. That said, we do try to pair you with a "home" store that is your regular spot, with rotation to one other location and possibility for covering colleague shifts occasionally at other locations. Reliable transportation is a MUST. Also, yes, we sell cannabis. It has become VERY apparent many folks want to get into the cannabis industry in Minnesota. That said, we are looking for sales people who have an established background in NICOTINE VAPOR. If you do not vape nicotine or have no background with vaping nicotine, do not apply. Ideal candidates have backgrounds with personal use of both nicotine vaping products and cannabis products.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
- Have personal experience with nicotine vaping and cannabis products.
- Have an excellent work ethic.
- Be honest and trustworthy.
- Have great communication skills.
- Enjoy working with and helping people.
- Understand how to use and troubleshoot e-cigarettes.
- Advocate the proper use of CBD/Cannabis and vapor products.
- Be a fast learner, and be able to understand and explain the many different products we carry (training provided).
- Be able to use the product knowledge they learn to properly guide and advise our customers to find the right products for them.
- Have reliable transportation, and be able to show up on time consistently.
Smokeless does not have any set requirements for previous experience, however a background in retail sales, customer service, or the Vapor and or Cannabis industry is ideal. We find it helps to hire candidates that have their own personal experience with quitting cigarettes via vapor products. If you have experience in/with one of our stores and how we do things, even better! If you've been in a Smokeless, you understand we ARE NOT A HEADSHOP.
Smokeless has developed a tight knit work family, and would prefer not to just fill a position, but find someone who wants to be part of the company culture we've developed over the years. We are a group of people who want to help our customers to stay off cigarettes or other forms of tobacco. With the addition of CBD and THC products to our stores, we've found that these products fit the mission of helping people in a similar way as nicotine vapor products, and can be a great alternative or supplement to pharmaceuticals. We've seen many people overcome or reduce issues in the realm of pain, anxiety, stress and poor sleep using the CBD and THC products we provide. HARM REDUCTION IS OUR PASSION.
Smokeless sells a large variety of products to learn and understand, and we are looking for someone who can get their product knowledge up to speed quickly with some provided training. Previous experience with vapor products is enormously helpful here. After training and showing competence and trustworthiness we want someone who can open a store, work a 10 hour shift solo, and close the store. Our retail operating hours are 10am-8pm Monday through Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday. Ability to work weekends is a must. Full time is 40 hours a week over 4 days, with 3 days off. There are occasional opportunities for overtime, but it is not a regular offering.
Base rate starts at $14.50/ hour. Added commission is given upon proving your ability to open and close the store, and receiving keys (typically achieved at 90 days, but has been achieved in less than 60 for some). Full time employees are also eligible for Blue Cross Health Insurance plans after 90 days - company pays 60% of deductible and 25% on dependents. Commission trends would put the hourly after commission in the $15-$19/hr range. We work with a shared profit pool, finding it best accommodates a non-competitive sales atmosphere/team work and giving each customer as much time as they need with each sales person. Our staff enjoys at-cost employee discounts on all of the vapor and CBD/cannabis products we sell. We are not a headshop. We pride ourselves in creating a clean, welcoming, inclusive, educational, friendly experience and believe that with the right people on our team, we can change people's days and their lives for the better.
To apply please have a resume, and tell us why you think you'd be a good fit.
We are far more likely to proceed with interviewing you if you tell us ahead of time why you will be good at selling vapes and cannabis. What is your personal story with these products? How will your personal experience help you help our customers? Cover letters addressing why you want to work at Smokeless are encouraged.
Extra points for those that respond quickly to us if we reach out to ask questions/set up interviews.

ABOUT BOVEDA
Before Boveda, it was difficult, if not impossible to control humidity for moisture-sensitive products like cigars, cannabis, and wooden instruments. So Boveda invented that control. Boveda started with a frustrated cigar lover whose job was to keep his cigars properly humidified. That job was labor-intensive, and it didn't always work. It was the '90s and he was limited to distilled water and sponges, distilled water and shot glasses, or foam and chemicals. (Some people still use those one-way humidifying methods. We don't know why. But that's another story.)
The difficulty of accomplishing this task led to the creation of Boveda (then Humidipak) which is a two-way humidity control in a ready-to-use packet. Boveda's semipermeable membrane contains all-natural salts and purified water to keep moisture-sensitive products safe. Since 1997, we have been the global leader in two-way humidity control.
You don't find a work culture like ours every day. We have an awesome office vibe that welcomes creative, innovative, and talented minds who enjoy being part of our passionate team. We truly value each of our team member's hard work and skills. This is why we offer competitive compensation, exceptional benefits, and a fun, creative environment.
