Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to establish and maintain the MJ Freeway tracking system for the Company and provide IT support to employees of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position requires a broad knowledge of analytical chemistry obtained from a degree and related job experience, to analyze and interpret data accurately and troubleshoot an array of instrumentation. Cannabis Laboratory experience required.
Expertise in troubleshooting analytical instruments is necessary to maintain the day to day operations of the laboratory. A general knowledge of ISO/GLP regulations is necessary to ensure the accuracy and precision of analytical results. The Extraction Technician is responsible for assisting with the facility’s overall cannabis extraction process and day-to-day production following established protocol and regulations.

Summary

· Maintains extraction/infusion operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational policies and procedures
· Work closely with production team on all elements of the extraction and infusion process * Provide consistent oversight of extraction procedures, ensuring standardized requirements and accuracy
· Master various techniques for marijuana extraction and infusion, including butane extraction * Develop expertise in Proprietary extraction method as well as subcritical, supercritical and ethanol extraction methods as well as the purification, separation and isolation of various compounds of cannabis
· Provide leadership to staff, ensuring counts are accurate and staff are performing in the most efficient manner possible * Perform QA/QC through analytical testing for quality, consistency and efficacy
· Work closely with production team on all elements of the testing and formulating process
· Responsible for inventory, record keeping and quality of product at all times, maintaining inventory via seed to sale tracking
Requirements:
· Master’s in chemistry or equivalent combination of education minimum BS Degree and experience preferred * Experience with analytical testing required HPLC- and or GCMS specific experience preferred
· Experience in various cannabis testing or formulation methods preferred

Experience and Education:
· Possession of a BS Degree, preferably in chemistry or similar field and three to five years of experience in related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment.
· Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations and analysis.
