JOB DESCRIPTION
The Dispensary Manager ensures that all dispensary operations are in compliance with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and internal Standard Operating Procedures. The Dispensary Manager collaborates with the Director/Area Manager of Retail Operations to develop, document, and implement practices, policies and strategies that support a performance and results-driven culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing and supporting all dispensary staff, schedules, inventory, and patient/customer relations.
- Provide departmental leadership to assure that department leads are functioning with integrity, cost efficiency and within compliance.
- Reviews daily store analytics (LeafLogix) and provides suggestions for improvements.
- Coordinates with Director/Area Manager of Retail Operations to ensure accurate information is communicated to dispensary staff.
- First point of contact for IDFPR inspections, law enforcement and regulatory representatives, collaborating with the Director of Retail Operations and Director of Compliance.
- Responsible for training oversight of new staff members and facilitating ongoing education for the staff.
- Monitoring daily cash procedures to ensure accuracy and staff compliance with cash SOP’s and investigating discrepancies with Asset Protection Manager and Director/Area Manager of Retail Operations.
- Maintains accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, patient/customer records, sales records, deliveries and returns in accordance with company SOP’s and the state of Illinois regulations.
- Oversees the Inventory Department with regards to consistent maintenance and compliance of the company inventory control system (LeafLogix) and State Mandated Tracking System (BioTrack), oversight of daily and weekly inventory counts and performs random audits with the Director/Area Manager of Retail Operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with inventory control system (LeafLogix) and State Mandated Tracking System (BioTrack).
- Ensure Budtenders are performing inventory checks on the salesfloor during or at end of shift, communicating inventory depletion on all products to Inventory Control Specialists and Social Media Specialists.
- Coordinates with the Retail Operations team to discuss work performance and methods to reduce errors and maximize efficiency.
- Assist Director/Area Manager of Retail Operations and Human Resources with hiring and terminating employees when appropriate.
- Works closely with Human Resources and Retail Operations on reviewing salaries, writing reviews, and implementing disciplinary action when required.
- Assist in maintaining accurate Stand Operating Procedures for the Dispensary.
- Schedules and facilitates all staff meetings.
- Works closely with Retail Operations to ensure any significant changes to SOP’s are facilitated and executed in a practical and efficient way (i.e. storewide pricing changes).
- Participating as a team member and filling-in at reception, POS, Budtender, ADA or other positions, when needed.

- Complies with all state and local laws and regulations as well as established company policies and standard operating procedures.

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- One to three years of work experience in a related industry or work environment. One year of experience in a dispensary setting
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a minimum of one-year Management experience
- Demonstrated oral and written communication capabilities
- Ability to work within a team and in a self-directed manner
- Experience, knowledge, and familiarity with cannabis
- Able to operate computerized software systems according to directions
- Must be able to secure Nevada Agent Card Registration with the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be 21 years of age or older, and be able to pass an extensive background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to use a computer for extended periods of time
- Able to move about a typical office and retail environment
- Able to perform general office managerial and administrative activities
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally

JOB DESCRIPTION
Budtenders are responsible for customer experience which includes; helping customers, processing the transaction, cash handling, and stellar customer service. You must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences. As a critical part of the business operation, the Budtender will have the most interaction with the store’s patrons. Must be outgoing, passionate, and very knowledgeable on the products and cannabis. Budtenders also assist the Management Team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continuous cannabis education including, but not limited to, knowledge of strains, terpenes, consumption methods, cannabis culture, medical implications, efficacy, effects/high, aroma/tastes/aesthetic, state and municipal regulations for medical and recreational cannabis
- Stay apprised of any events, promotions and special and promote them with customers
- Provides quality customer service and always demonstrates professionalism
- Greets customers warmly when they enter
- Promotes a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with state and local laws and regulations established company policies and procedures.
- Accurately record any pertinent notes that will help provide excellent customer service when the customer/patient returns
- Attempt to obtain additional data for marketing purposes following the SOP (i.e. cellular phone number and email address)
- Verifying proper ID for customers/patients
- Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system including correct cash handling and discount application
- Full responsibility for an accurate cash drawer and accurate cash transactions
- Participate in inventory cycle counts accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure a presentable presence on the sales floor, including but not limited to clean and neat workstations and well maintained displays
- Completes all assigned tasks during overlap hours
- Make sales recommendations, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Bag, box, or wrap purchase after appropriate items are labeled in accordance with state regulations
- Complete Opening/Closing duties, initialing the checklist appropriately
- Refers to “Time to lean, time to clean” cleaning list when there is down time on the sales floor

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be able to obtain a Illinois issued Cannabis agent card
- Must not have been convicted of any felony offense
- Ability to work within a closely supervised environment
- A minimum of 1+ years of experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a cannabis retail setting or customer service-related industry
- Works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity
- Knowledge and familiarity with Cannabis
- Solid math skills, language, and reasoning skills.
- Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a digital scale
- Experience in marijuana growing, cultivating, and trimming preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Herbal Remedies is a new medical Cannabis production facility looking for highly experienced growers in Portland Maine.
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience.
Must have experience in plant science.
Preferred - Master grower, specializing in Aeroponics.
Job Duties
- Manage and maintain grow house protocols with a small team of highly effective employees.
- Analyze and catalog each individual strain from clone to harvest.
- Implement solid preventative measures against contaminants.
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional work environment.
- Collaborate with the head grower to provide timely reporting to owners and Board.
- Assist in government inspections with inventory and compliance audits.
Skills/Qualifications
- In depth knowledge of all aspect of cultivation
- Yield maximization techniques a must (performance pay component).
- Comfortable with technology (facility goal to be as close to full automation as possible)
- Horticulture or related degrees a plus.
- Greenhouse, Horticulture, Agriculture background and experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check with no drug-related or violent felonies as required by the state of Maine.
