JOB SUMMARY
The Pre-Roll Specialist is responsible for the daily activities involving manipulating flower & oil, weighing, stuffing, rolling labeling, and packaging cannabis products in an efficient and timely fashion. We are seeking to add to our collaborative team within the Southern California region, focusing on hiring a Full-time Sampler who resides in and around the Moreno Valley/San Bernardino.
The Sampler position is responsible for obtaining a representative sample of a batch at the client’s location, completing all relevant documentation and providing excellent customer service, while ensuring all samples are safely and securely transferred to a Courier for delivery to our Santa Cruz Lab for processing.
- Must be at least 25 years of age
- Previous customer service experience is required
- Must be comfortable working with and around cannabis products. Previous work experience in the legal cannabis industry is preferred
- Ideal candidate will have 1 year of prior laboratory experience from either college or full-time practical work experience/exposure, and previous customer service experience

PAY RATE: Starts at $18.00 per hour, and then $20.00 per hour upon successfully passing a performance review after the first 90 -days
SCHEDULE: This will be a Full-time position based out of Southern California.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with clients/customers on their premises during sample collection and submission (Clients / Customers may require our employees to be fully vaccinated)
- Follow all internal laboratory and State regulations while taking samples and driving to and from a client/customer sampling site or the laboratory
- Coordinate with Manager of Field Operations, as well as, Customer Service Account Managers to maximize sample collection
- Strive to maximize driving route efficiency
- Maintain records of samples and transportation data per relevant procedures
- Maintain sampling supply/equipment inventory
- Complete vehicle operational logs and minor maintenance as needed
- Follow good documentation practices, data integrity principles, and safety behaviors
- Promote a professional company image through exemplary customer relationship skills
- Refer customer inquiries, routing or schedule change requests, and/or complaints to the appropriate Account Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

JOB SUMMARY

SUMMARY

The The Utah Department of Health Medical Cannabis Program is looking for a Specialist to help establish the Utah Medical Cannabis program. This is a new program and the position offers many opportunities for growth and a challenging career. This Position requires excellent communication skills; the ability to read, understand, and explain regulations and rules; and proficiency in MS Office and Google applications. In state, out of state, overnight and weekend travel is required.
Pursuant to Utah Code §§ 4-41-107 and 26-61a-111, this job includes duties that arise from or directly relate to the Utah Medical Cannabis Act. Duties may require conduct which is in violation of the criminal laws of the United States with respect to the manufacture, sale, or distribution of cannabis. As a condition of employment, candidates who are selected to fill this position will be required to sign an Acceptance of Duties Under the Medical Cannabis Act Acknowledgment Form. Principal Duties
As the Medical Cannabis Program Specialist, you will:
- Answer questions from the public, applicants, licensees, patients, and providers about the Utah's medical cannabis program and applicable laws via email and over the phone.
- Conduct research regarding similar programs in other states and draft policy proposals and reports.
- Review and process provider enrollment registration, and coordinate evaluation of continuing education courses.
- Review patient card applications, document approval/denials, follow up with patients.
- Process compassionate use board petitions, attend board meetings, and provide support to board and petitioning patients.
- Draft training documents and instructional emails.
- Handle sensitive documents and information.
- Provide general administrative support to staff members.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has extensive MS Office and Google application skills.
- Has experience finding, gathering, and compiling information or data.
- Has experience writing technical documents and instructional materials.
- Has some knowledge of the Utah Medical Cannabis Act.
- Has a Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Health, Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, or Communications.

OverviewRetail Sales Associates (RSAs) and Lead Retail Sale Associates (LRSAs) are responsible for sales transactions with registered medicinal marijuana patients, their registered caregivers, and retail consumers, ensuring scrupulous adherence to relevant statutes and regulations, and facility policies and procedures, governing the sale of marijuana products.
RSAs and LRSAs report to the Dispensary Manager (the “DM”).
Responsibilities
- Conducting sales transactions with patients, caregivers and retail customers, accepting tendered cash, issuing receipts, and ensuring provision of mandatory patient information and product warnings, complying fully at all times with relevant California statutes and regulations and facility policies and procedures to ensure diversion prevention, supply of marijuana only to legally authorized buyers and adherence to quantity limits.
- Counseling patients, primary caregivers and recreational consumers regarding the use of cannabis and cannabis-infused products, including dosages, forms, effects, and side effects.
- Assisting the DM in monitoring and verifying inventory.
- For LRSAs, managing the facility in the DM’s absence.
- Accurately inputting all necessary data regarding transactions and inventory in the POS system.
- Rigorously upholding patient and caregiver confidentiality in all respects at all times.
- Always presenting a neat and clean appearance and pleasant, polite demeanor to provisioning clients.

RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE aka "BUDTENDER"OverviewRetail Sales Associates (RSAs) and Lead Retail Sale Associates (LRSAs) are responsible for sales transactions with registered medicinal marijuana patients, their registered caregivers, and retail consumers, ensuring scrupulous adherence to relevant statutes and regulations, and facility policies and procedures, governing the sale of marijuana products.RSAs and LRSAs report to the Dispensary Manager (the “DM”).Responsibilities
- Conducting sales transactions with patients, caregivers and retail customers, accepting tendered cash, issuing receipts, and ensuring provision of mandatory patient information and product warnings, complying fully at all times with relevant California statutes and regulations and facility policies and procedures to ensure diversion prevention, supply of marijuana only to legally authorized buyers and adherence to quantity limits.
- Counseling patients, primary caregivers and recreational consumers regarding the use of cannabis and cannabis-infused products, including dosages, forms, effects, and side effects.
- Assisting the DM in monitoring and verifying inventory.
- For LRSAs, managing the facility in the DM’s absence.
- Accurately inputting all necessary data regarding transactions and inventory in the POS system.
- Rigorously upholding patient and caregiver confidentiality in all respects at all times.
- Always presenting a neat and clean appearance and pleasant, polite demeanor to provisioning clients.
- Assisting the DM in maintaining a clean, welcoming, well-maintained provision center environment.
- Assisting new or less experienced personnel in the performance of their duties.
- Aggressively applying his or her talents, education and experience to ensure that every opportunity is taken to improve the customer service provided by the provisioning center.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Ability to obtain and maintain registration with the State of California as a marijuana establishment agent.
