Highbrow has a craft cannabis edibles kitchen that is growing and looking to add to our team. We are currently looking for production kitchen assistants experienced in the production of craft cannabis edibles. Reporting directly to the Head Chef and the Assistant Kitchen Manager, the production assistants will assist in the production, dosing, packaging, and labeling of cannabis edibles.

Summary/Objective

Role Summary:

The Production Kitchen Assistant 1 supports the Production Kitchen Supervisor/Manager in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the cannabis production kitchen facility to ensure consistent quality of finished goods within specification, scheduled to meet agreed-upon forecasted inventory budgets and maintaining service levels at 99%. To be considered, candidates must be able to work 4pm - 12am, Monday through Friday, and on weekends as needed. This is a non-exempt position.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for all required processes.
- Assist Production Kitchen Supervisor/Manager with the accurate formulation, production, dosing, packaging and labeling of THC and CBD products.
- Manually cut and create packaging as needed; pack and wrap finished product.
- Ensure that all production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to Company Standard Operating Procedures and state/local regulations.
- Support Production Kitchen Supervisor/Manager as needed with administrative duties such as SOP audits and updates, as well as maintaining required logs, manuals and postings.
- Assure compliance without exception, consistent with company policies including but not limited to state/local regulation, security protocols, access protocols, facility maintenance, on-site safety including kitchen functionality, and food safety as applicable.

Summary/Objective

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This position operates out of our production kitchen in Denver, CO where we produce cannabis infused edibles products such as Nové, Quiq, and the award winning incredibles brand. As business demands change, this role will be responsible for kitchen duties including food prep, pouring, mixing, kitchen cleanup, kitchen setup, cleaning, and dishwashing, as well as the packaging and distribution of finished products. Employees in this role should be punctual and dependable in order to follow a strict production schedule while working closely in a team driven environment to accomplish larger production goals. Employees in this role need to be aware of, and able to maintain Marijuana Enforcement Division and Health Department regulations while handling food products in a sanitized work-space.
POSSIBLE JOB DUTIES (but not limited to)
- Making chocolate and gummy cannabis infused edible products by portioning, mixing, and pouring batter into molds, prep-work, and cleaning.

This position is for a Production Team Member for the kitchen. Our top products are confections, with a current focus on candy and chocolate. This is a hand crafted edible kitchen that is currently incorporating automation. As we are infusing food items, attention to detail is very important. With this being a manufacturing role, this is a physical job. Please anticipate sitting/standing for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, squatting, and reaching. Further advancement includes opportunities to help and learn about the other areas of production. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, during the day with some variation as the business dictates. You report to and follow the lead of the Production Manager of Edibles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pouring chocolate
- Infusing and completing recipes with accuracy
- Lift, shake, and move 15-50 lbs
- Using machinery that is part of the production process
- Packaging and Labeling products
- Assist with keeping ingredients safely stocked
- Clean/sanitize/prepare all surfaces, dishes, and storage for production

Job Description:
The Cook is a member of the Drops production team and focuses on the manufacturing process of all our edible products, from start to finish. The pace of this position is quick and team members must be capable of routinely meeting Drops standards for productivity and quality.
Duties:
- Manages and assists in set-up, clean-up, handling of cannabis and non-cannabis materials, production, QC sampling, etc.
- Manages a multi-stage quality assurance program by thoroughly inspecting products during specific stages of the manufacturing process, alerting supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Maintains and stocks inventory and notifies supervisor of any concerns or shortages, utilizing production/inventory systems: Metrc, Distru, Google Drives.
- Ensures cleanliness of workspace and manufacturing environment
- Ensures correct storage and management of all ingredients (non-cannabis/cannabis)
- Adheres to drops SOP’s applicable to the position including but not limited to health and safety; manufacturing and production; cleaning protocols; and product specific protocols

Physical Requirements: Essential functions require working in a hot and cold warehouse setting. Working directly with the current Chef/Kitchen Manager, the ideal candidate will oversee our new kitchen team during our expanded hours in all edible creation and manufacturing with careful handling, while meeting tight deadlines, and remaining highly productive.
As our second team Production Kitchen Manager, you take your craft seriously, pride yourself on quality results and have an eye for detail with the ability to produce fine quality treats that are delicious, precisely dosed, and visually appealing.
Production
- Work with the Executive Management Team, including wholesale, inventory and packaging departments, to set weekly and monthly production schedules

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This position operates out of our production kitchen in Denver, CO where we produce cannabis infused edibles products such as Nové, Quiq, and the award winning incredibles brand. As business demands change, this role will be responsible for kitchen duties including food prep, pouring, mixing, kitchen cleanup, kitchen setup, cleaning, and dishwashing, as well as the packaging and distribution of finished products. Employees in this role should be punctual and dependable in order to follow a strict production schedule while working closely in a team driven environment to accomplish larger production goals. Employees in this role need to be aware of, and able to maintain Marijuana Enforcement Division and Health Department regulations while handling food products in a sanitized work-space.
POSSIBLE JOB DUTIES (but not limited to)
- Making chocolate and gummy cannabis infused edible products by portioning, mixing, and pouring batter into molds, prep-work, and cleaning.
- Employee will clean their designated area in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Help manage inventories by following plan of production laid out by managers each day.
- Ensure dishes and pots and pans are washed after shifts.
- Attend meetings when requested.
- Sweep and mop area, general cleaning.
- Receive and put away orders and deliveries in storeroom and freezer on days needed.

Responsibilities
This role is a Kitchen Edible Production position within the manufacturing of Cannabis- Infused edibles.
- To follow the directions of the Sous Chef
- The Kitchen Edible Production employee will follow all standardized SOP’s, batch sheets, and GMP’s (good manufacturing processes)
- Each employee will be responsible for maintaining all kitchen equipment in a safe and clean manner.
QualificationsMust be able to work with manual to semi-automatic manufacturing and packaging, wet and dry weighing/scaling of ingredients, equipment, agitators, dispensers, packaging and labeling to produce a wide variety of NABIS products. Must be able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
- Utilize commercial kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, double-boiler/fire mixers, confectionery heating/cooling tables and other bakery/chocolatier equipment to produce, package and label infused edibles.
- Perform weigh and dispense activities of finished product, active ingredient(s), raw materials and excipients.
- Document all manufacturing activities consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices.

JOB SUMMARY
The Edibles Kitchen Supervisor reports to the Edibles Production Manager and is responsible for production of Cresco Labs medically infused edible products. Manage a team of chefs to carry out day-to-day tasks including prepping, cleaning, cooking, and operating basic production machinery. Produce edibles in accordance with the State and standards set by Cresco Labs.
CORE JOB DUTIES
Production
- Work with Packaging Supervisor to set weekly and monthly production schedules
- Manage kitchen chefs with daily production of baked goods, chocolates and confections using commercial machinery.
- Understand and execute batch calculations per Cresco Edibles manufacturing formulas.
- Maintain production logs, lab test results and QC retain samples.
Vendor Coordination / Ordering
- Organize and inventory ingredients and other kitchen production supplies at the facility.
- Place ingredient orders with approved vendors, log and date each shipment.
Facility Cleaning
- Demonstrate an understanding of state and county health department requirements for Kitchen Production Facilities. – Handle preparation for periodic inspections.
- Maintain a clean and safe production facility.
- Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable under standards set by Cresco Labs before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net, changing clothes, etc.
- Complete the sanitation of production equipment and tools including workspace, production and packaging equipment, cookware and appliances.
- State-required sanitation license must be up to date
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Experience in a field and/or operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures, preferable a regulated field producing products for human consumption.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of recipes, food production and kitchen sanitation.
- Strong and effective task-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail – ability to monitor basic kitchen production in processes, organize and maintain production logs and ingredient lot numbers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
- Experience in a production-heavy kitchen, kitchen management and chocolate/confection work a plus.
- Ability to stand for at least 6 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds to torso level is necessary.
