The Production Kitchen Assistant 1 supports the Production Kitchen Supervisor/Manager in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the cannabis production kitchen facility to ensure consistent quality of finished goods within specification, scheduled to meet agreed-upon forecasted inventory budgets and maintaining service levels at 99%. To be considered, candidates must be able to work 4pm - 12am, Monday through Friday, and on weekends as needed. This is a non-exempt position.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for all required processes.
- Assist Production Kitchen Supervisor/Manager with the accurate formulation, production, dosing, packaging and labeling of THC and CBD products.
- Manually cut and create packaging as needed; pack and wrap finished product.
- Ensure that all production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to Company Standard Operating Procedures and state/local regulations.
- Support Production Kitchen Supervisor/Manager as needed with administrative duties such as SOP audits and updates, as well as maintaining required logs, manuals and postings.
- Assure compliance without exception, consistent with company policies including but not limited to state/local regulation, security protocols, access protocols, facility maintenance, on-site safety including kitchen functionality, and food safety as applicable.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure effective internal communication with Kitchen Manger, management staff and production teams. Maintain and enforce safety, sanitation and compliance standards in accordance with state laws. Understand and execute procedures and policies that manage, track and organize entire kitchen production processes. Must have a strong background in a commercial kitchen/bakery. Assist with all aspects of the kitchen processes, procedures, policies, monitor progress, and identify and process strengths and weaknesses. Assist with daily cooking, prep, and cleaning. Be proactive in maintaining a clean and well-run facility. Assist with training new staff.
Able to work 5 days a week and 40+ hours per week. Have flexibility and willingness to adjust job tasks during high volume times. Be willing to assume additional responsibility.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least 2 years of Commercial Kitchen/Bakery experience
- Professional and clean appearance.
- Basic computer skills. Microsoft office programs and email.
