- Reconciling general ledgers and preparing and maintaining accounting schedules, making adjusting entries as required, preparing reporting as needed including balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports as needed.
- Coordinating physical inventory counts and cycle counts, overseeing the process from A to Z by investigating variances and resolving issues as needed
- Collaborating across the business to support our co-manufacturing business line including supporting setup and reporting in collaboration with operations and accounting leadership
- In partnership with the broader accounting and finance team, support the Accounts Receivable function
- Provide cost accounting insight and leadership to the accounting and operations teams as needed

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Understanding of multi-entity environment and financial reporting requirements
- Support of audit requests and provide management support for various external and internal audits, to include planning, communication, tracking and review of selections and schedules assigned through management.

- Perform month end close activities, including journal entries and reporting. Assist with monthly, quarterly and year end closing.
- Reconciliations of GL and Accounts Variance analysis and adjusting entries.

- Research and resolve vendor invoice discrepancies. Maintain vendor files and records (physical or electronic).
- Prepare P&L Statements all the way through 3rd party audit / 3rd party CPA reviewed financials
- Participate in budgeting processes.
- Brief senior managers regularly on the company’s financial status.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.
Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.

Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting the CFO and the Controller in issuing financial reports to internal and external stakeholders, ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations within the unique regulatory environment of the cannabis industry
- Prepare GAAP compliant financial statements
- Responsible for all aspects of the balance sheet, including prepaids, accruals, etc
- Responsible for all balance sheet account reconciliations
- Responsible for retail and wholesale revenue reconciliations
- Prepare monthly journal entries & requisite support
- Royalty calculations
- Ensure proper valuation of inventory and costs of goods sold at period end
- Maintain accurate fixed asset register, including leases
- Perform monthly reconciliations and prepare monthly to/from inventory entry

Position Summary:
The Junior Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the Accounts Payable records of Lighthouse Strategies’ portfolio of companies.
The position will be responsible for entering, keeping track of and monitoring invoices due, maintaining vendor files, communicating with vendors, ensuring the payables systems are up-to-date, and operating office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
The Junior Staff Accountant may also be actively involved in the preparation and management of monthly consolidated financial statements to provide timely and accurate information in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. This position will support the day-to-day operations in the general accounting area. Performs detailed preparation and review of account reconciliations, general journal entries, as well as the above-mentioned AP management and payments.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic go-getter, flexible, analytically minded, technologically inclined, results driven, and will thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment, as well as work well with both internal and external teams, vendors, and business partners.

Essential Functions:

- Code and enter all invoices into the Accounts Payable modules for eight (8) entities

- Monitor vendor accounts for payments due and prepare weekly check runs for eight (8) entities
- Maintain vendor files, research, and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues, and respond to vendor inquiries via email or telephone
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
- Provide supporting documentation for annual audits
- Assist with preparation and filing of general business documents, print, mail, scan, and other administrative duties, as needed
- Support the general accounting function as needed with journal entries, reconciliations, etc.

Experience, Education, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting degree preferred
- High school or GED required
- Three (3) years of general accounting experience, of which one (1) year includes accounts payable experience

Role & Responsibilities
Inventory & Cost Accounting
· Manage the forecast and accounting of raw materials and inventory by working with the Finance Team and Director of Operations.

Role & Responsibilities
Inventory & Cost Accounting
· Manage the forecast and accounting of raw materials and inventory by working with the Finance Team and Director of Operations.

· Manage the on-site cash processes and maintenance of cash management and accounting controls.
· Manage the on-site procurement and expense management for the facility and staff on ad-hoc basis.
Month-End
· Lead the reconciliation of the month-end inventory, batch reports and accounting system.
· Maintain and record journal entries for prepaids, capital assets, payroll accruals, and ad-hoc processes as required.
ERP System
· Be a champion member in the implementation and training of a new ERP system.
· Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.
· Maintain data within, and provide suggestions for improvement of data maintenance and reporting within the system.
Education/Experience
· 2+ years of Costing & Inventory management experience in a Manufacturing Plant or CPG industry.
· University Degree and/or Post-secondary education in Accounting or a relevant field or Experince in leui of Degree.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Accountant will provide the Controller with assistance on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate has at least three years' experience in public or private accounting with manufacturing, cannabis, agricultural, distribution, or consumer product group experience. Will assist accounts payable, accounts receivable, preparing financial reports to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.* Experience in an accounting/CPA firm environment is preferred.* Minimum three (3) years of experience in general financial accounting and cost accounting,preferably in manufacturing, agricultural, or distribution.* Minimum two (2) years of recent QuickBooks experience.* Ability to work on a variety of tasks with little direction and able to change priorities as needed.* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word* Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a Live Scan background check.
JOB DUTIES:
* Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.* Prepares balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.* Performs account reconciliation and analysis monthly in accordance with GAAP.* Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries frombanks.* Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controlsaccurately and on time* Expense management support daily payment processing, billing, cash receipts, wires/ACHtransfers.* Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.* Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documentsto perform annual audit.* Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.* Prepares complex financial analysis.* Perform cost analyses, production analyses, and inventory reconciliations.* Assists in the design and preparation of budgets for review by the Controller.* Maintains and reconciles fixed assets schedules and other similar schedules as directed.* Other duties as assigned.
