Farm Hand Position
Daily Schedule: Monday through Friday with the possibility of Saturday (voluntary)
Hours/Week: 40+ hours per week
Hourly Rate: $17.00 Per Hour

Position Overview: Nova Farms is seeking an exceptional District Manager who will oversee our retail stores in the Massachusetts region. This individual will be responsible for working closely with our store managers to ensure monthly goals are met, policies are enforced, and brand awareness is increased.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring efficiencies, sound operations, monthly goals, and white-glove service at all retail locations.
- Implement Standard Operating Procedures for all retail locations, and ensure they are in full compliance with local, State, and federal laws including the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC)
- Ensure key performance indicators (KPI) are being tracked and maintained in all store locations on a weekly basis
- Maintain an active presence in the stores and provide support for in-store events
- Partner with Senior Leadership to develop, execute and evaluate strategies for opening new retail locations, acquisitions, and hyper-growth
- Partner with cross-functional leaders and Store Managers to monitor store inventory, staffing, and other critical operational functions to optimize store performance
- Develop, coach, and inspire employees to achieve individual and team goals through regular feedback inclusive of recurring performance discussions and career development planning
- Drive profitable sales by leading a group of dispensary managers to effectively forecast the business, schedule to meet the demand, provide outstanding customer service, and fully execute all programs and initiatives
Requirements:

Position Summary
Our Inventory Manager is responsible for day to day tracking of all items in Metrc to ensure we are at all par levels for operations. The Inventory Manager will work directly with the General Manager to keep the retail location fully stocked and in compliance at all times. Develop comprehensive inventory tracking systems to meet inventory goals, manage tracking systems to ensure ideal levels of inventory in the dispensary.
Responsibilities
- Executes and manages strategies, processes, procedures, and standards for all inventory management related systems with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Manages all METRC related tasks and compliance; METRC tags, documents, product entry, and incoming/outgoing shipments with our transport team.
- Maintains accurate and up to date inventory counts and reconciliation using METRC.
- Prepares METRC reports when needed.
- Executes and manages ongoing physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count against METRC reports.
- Investigates any and all inventory discrepancies and develops processes, procedures, and policies to minimize inventory discrepancies.
- Identifies theft or diversion of products and reports incidents directly to the Dispensary General Manager.
- Records and monitors all items with shelf life and notifies vendors when products have expired.
- Responsible for the destruction of all expired products.
- Manages vendor relations and works side by side with the purchasing team to ensure fully stocked shelves
- Assesses inventory overages and shortages and strategizes sales and incentives with the management team to recoup assets or adjust ordering procedures.
- Receives, opens, counts, and unpacks products and merchandise, while checking invoices and manifests against physical items received.
- Examines all incoming product shipments and required documents to ensure quality and compliance with the state.
- Enter laboratory test results, product information and other required information into the Point of Sale system in accordance with company policy and state regulations.
- Executes and maintains a clean and orderly inventory storage and distribution system.
- Communicates new product offering specifics with the management team and dispensary staff.
- Manages, coaches, guides and develops inventory teams to achieve higher standards of execution with a focus on compliance and efficiency.
- Develops systems that support job functions, policies, and procedures.
- Completes other assignments, tasks, and duties as assigned by management.

The role of the Compliance Specialist is to ensure that Nova Farms follows all compliance items permitted by the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) to maintain active and future operating licenses. This role is ideal for someone who has Paralegal or a strong Administrative background. This position will report directly into the Compliance Director. The Compliance Specialist should have strong project management and attention to detail. Nova Farms will train on cannabis compliance regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee Agent Cards
- Initial issue and renewal process
- Termination process and agent card deactivation and destruction
- Manage CCC Personnel Requirements
- Track and report on company employment data and relationships to assure we’re reacting company goals on Social Equity & Diversity

- Make sure that all CCC files are compliant and necessary documentation is separate from sensitive HR documentation
- SOP Updates and Access

- Limit access to those permitted to view most up-to-date SOP’s
- When plans/process need to be changed, work with appropriate team to update SOP’s and get approval from Compliance Director before updating SOP’s and publishing new version
- Maintain compliance meeting schedule
- Voice concerns regarding compliance issues to Compliance Director
- Work with HR to meet CCC Requirements pertaining to personnel, along with other ad hoc HR tasks that may require assistance in the busy season (recruiting, communications/ announcements, employee files, etc.)

Our farm currently has 18 active hives in our apiary that have overwintered and will need full inspections and services within the next few weeks. We would like to increase our bee hive count to upwards of 100 hives.This position will require weekly maintenance. Our hives will need new supers added to each individual hive as the colony’s are growing. The Assistant Packaging Manager will assist packaging department needs and will be responsible for compliance, inventory, and consistency, as well as help to manage Packaging Associates.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains inventory levels and production standards
- Responsible for assisting in all day-to-day operations and overseeing the performance of the packaging department
- Collaborates across other departments to ensure orders are properly fulfilled
- Oversees inventory, updates inventory levels as needed to reflect sales
- Recognizes areas of opportunity that improve Safety, Product Quality, Cost, Productivity, and Employee Moral and report potential improvements into the Packaging Manager and Compliance.
- Help to ensure all packaging output expectations are being met or exceeded
- Coach the production team to establish performance measures to achieve designated objectives and deliver business results

- Assist in provide status updates and reports

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- METRC experience is required
- 2+ years inventory control experience preferred
- 1-2 years management experience required

- Ability to provide clear direction, to manage and track progress and communicate outcomes
- Willing and able to work in a fast pace environment

The Extraction Technician will assist the Nova Farms lab team with the activities and operations required to complete the functions of the department in relation to producing: cannabis concentrates, MIPs and cannabis flower. Study and comprehend all policies, procedures and operational guidelines set by the management team. This position is responsible for assisting with lab and concentrate production, which includes but is not limited to inventory management, production of cannabis products, compliance requirements, and lab safety.
Lab Technician Requirements
- Help concentrate & MIP Department meet the production demand quantity and quality for the retail locations in accordance with Nova Farms’ mission
- Maintaining, cleaning and servicing laboratory equipment as required by procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Help to ensure our inventory counts are accurate and enough inventory is being produced
- Maintaining open communication with management team and co-workers
- Provide necessary support to the management team to ensure MIP operations, as assigned, trained and/or requested
- Document and continually develop changing internal processes for concentrate/MIP department
- Ensure all standards for processing procedures and laboratory protocols are followed
- Compliance with local and state regulations
- Adherence to quality control methods throughout entire process
- Conduct studies, identify problems, recommend alternatives and implement solutions selected by the management team
- Continually review the current system for operational efficiency and update processes as necessary
- Review training procedures and seek continued education to ensure delivery on all job functions
- Follow safety programs and protocols and provide updates as necessary
- Skill in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations in support of Nova Farms’ philosophies and goals
- Ability to use standard lab equipment: vacuum oven, hotplate, extractor, distillation equipment etc.
- Knowledge of and ability to run a closed loop extractor (ethanol & hydrocarbons)
- Compliance with typical laboratory standards
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicals
- Ability to research, evaluate and adapt to new methods, compliance updates and techniques for operational improvement
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences
- Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
Lab Technician Additional Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Must obtain and retain a state-issued Medical Cannabis ID badge.
Education & Experience

Position Summary
Our Inventory Manager is responsible for day to day tracking of all items in METRC to ensure we are at all par levels for operations. The Inventory Manager will work directly with the General Manager to keep the retail location fully stocked and in compliance at all times. Develop comprehensive inventory tracking systems to meet inventory goals, manage tracking systems to ensure ideal levels of inventory in the dispensary.
Responsibilities:
- Executes and manages strategies, processes, procedures, and standards for all inventory management related systems with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Manages all METRC related tasks and compliance; METRC tags, documents, product entry, and incoming/outgoing shipments with our transport team.
- Maintains accurate and up to date inventory counts and reconciliation using METRC.
- Prepares METRC reports when needed.
- Executes and manages ongoing physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count against METRC reports.
- Investigates any and all inventory discrepancies and develops processes, procedures, and policies to minimize inventory discrepancies.
- Identifies theft or diversion of products and reports incidents directly to the Dispensary General Manager.
- Records and monitors all items with shelf life and notifies vendors when products have expired.
- Responsible for the destruction of all expired products.
- Manages vendor relations and works side by side with the purchasing team to ensure fully stocked shelves
- Assesses inventory overages and shortages and strategize sales and incentives with the management team to recoup assets or adjust ordering procedures.
- Receives, opens, counts, and unpacks products and merchandise, while checking invoices and manifests against physical items received.
- Examines all incoming product shipments and required documents to ensure quality and compliance with the state.
- Enter laboratory test results, product information and other required information into the Point of Sale system in accordance with company policy and state regulations.
- Executes and maintains a clean and orderly inventory storage and distribution system.
- Communicates new product offering specifics with the management team and dispensary staff.
- Manages, coaches, guides and develops inventory team to achieve higher standards of execution with a focus on compliance and efficiency.

The Manual Cigar Roller is responsible for overseeing the technical operations and ensuring the production of high quality rolled cannabis cigars. Some responsibilities include product inventory maintenance, ensuring that company quality standards are followed, product packaging & general production support, general problem solving, utilizing creativity in innovating new product ideas, and lifting & stocking boxes of up to 50lbs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carefully selects, shapes and cuts cannabis fan leaves, and palm leaves into specific shapes with a knife and template.
- Packs filler evenly into leaves by rolling them together, for the cigar to have a smooth burn.
- Secures the end of the wrapper with glue, and trims any irregularities in the cigar to specified length.
- Assesses finished cigars for consistent measurements such as weight, size, draw, diameter and other imperfections.
- Implement solutions to quality problems through inspections, investigations, and audits.

The Lab Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical operations and ensuring the production of high quality cannabis extracts. This position is responsible for planning, overseeing, and directing all operations of the laboratory. Some responsibilities include product inventory maintenance, delegation of tasks, data analysis & reporting, cannabinoid testing as well as troubleshooting and problem solving for machines and the production process. Experience in working with BHO and Ethanol extraction is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the technical personnel and operational methods of the laboratory.
- Provide guidance as requested regarding hiring, training, promotions, and disciplinary issues for laboratory personnel.

Nova Farms has an immediate opening for an Inventory Associate. The Inventory Associate is responsible for performing the essential daily inventory management and prepack processes of our Recreational Cannabis products. This is a critical role in ensuring our guests receive accurate and prompt order fulfillment. In addition, our Inventory Associates are expected to work collaboratively with our Retail Associate to ensure timely backfill of our retail floor inventory. The Inventory Associate reports to the Inventory Manager.
Responsibilities
· Fulfilling customer orders as well as receiving, handling, storing and tracking all products in compliance with Cannabis Control Commission regulations
· Adhering to all policy and procedures, compliance standards, inventory standard operating procedures, receiving standards and all operational safety and security protocols
· Data entry and audits to be performed in inventory systems
Requirements:
· 1-3 years Inventory experience preferred but not required
· Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize
· Efficient with both verbal and written communication
· Mathematical aptitude, ensuring strong attention to detail and data
· Ability to work in a highly stimulated, fast-paced environment
· Experience working in an environment with high volume of transactions
· Ability to learn and operate on software platforms and hardware related to inventory control/electronic tracking (METRC)
· Must have regular and on-time attendance, able to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, and holiday shifts, including overtime as needed and approved)
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs and sit and stand for extended periods of time

Budtender / Retail Associate

Director of Manufacturing Operations
The Director of Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic planning, on-going development, improvement and expansion of Nova Farm’s manufacturing facilities and management of all processing capabilities.

Director of Operations Responsibilities:
- Lead production and operational management teams ensuring collaboration and cross-departmental efficiencies for manufacturing
- Overall responsibility for manufacturing safety, culture, quality and service, environmental compliance, and P&L responsibility for all manufacturing businesses
- Manage and oversee Nova’s ethanol and hydrocarbon based extraction & refinement lab, ice water hash lab, vape filling operations, kitchen and packaging operations
- Build and develop the strategy for efficient operations to ensure maximum capacity and no interruptions in production
- Develop and implement a production road map to improve production flow and productivity with an eye on automation and efficiency improvements
- Build a culture of operational excellence that produces high quality products, high employee engagement and successful financial results in line with Nova Farm’s mission and core values
- Be a cannabis leader: Strategically guide our facilities and processes through multiple initiatives, using strong decision-making skills and flexibility in order to drive operational initiatives and process improvement activities
- Create strategies to improve the forecast and demand planning efficiencies between Sales, Supply Chain, Lab, Manufacturing, and Sales Operations
- Lead weekly business process review meetings with the management team to discuss supply/demand, new projects, and updates; utilizing defined quality and production key performance indicators
Preferred Requirements
- Technical production management experience, bio-pharma, pharma, natural products, food production and/or cannabis manufacturing
- Bachelor's in Business, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Operations Management and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing and operations experience with for a diversity of industries/products
- Demonstrated experience in large scale plant production, engineering, lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma, planning, scheduling, quality, continuous improvement methods and project management
- Demonstrated success in building teams and processes during a high growth period
- Proven ability to develop high-performing teams through mentoring, collaboration, and accountability to rigorous standards while sustaining high engagement and positive energy
- Demonstrated knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource development, leadership and operations management
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate at all levels of the organization
- Proven knowledge of ERP systems; ERP/ EBR and other manufacturing software tools for management of performance, training equipment maintenance
- Exhibited passion for cannabis
