The Analyst II prepares and analyzes cannabis, hemp, CBD, and other samples using both standard and complex testing according to scientific and standard methodology in compliance with Green Scientific Laboratory’s Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s, validates and reviews data for accuracy through Level I and II reviews. · Performs Level I and II review of data produced to ensure accuracy

· Maintains logbooks
· Responsible for performing job functions within Green Scientific’s EHS and QA standards

Basic Minimum Qualifications:
· BS or BA in chemistry or related field
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in operation, maintenance, and calibration of HPLC and/or LC-MS/MS instrumentation
· GC-MS, GC-FID experience preferred but not necessary
· Previous production-oriented work is a plus
· Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
· Must be 21 years or older, pass an extensive level 2 background check, and be approved by the FL DOH OMMU for employment

Our Richmond, VA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Analyst I (Toxicology) who will be responsible for helping keep the lab environment clean and organized, prepare solutions, maintain equipment, and conduct studies to determine the toxicity of nicotine-containing products. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory, will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions, and will be passionate about doing work that moves things forward.
- Analyze data collected in real time data and assess experimental progress
- Follow study protocols and methods based on published scientific articles and technical reports.
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments

The Analyst I has the ability to follow standard operating procedures and gather data from specialized equipment and instrumentation and is expected to develop the ability to independently perform all routine tasks and collaborate on continuous improvement as needed. The Analyst I operates equipment and instrumentation on a regular basis and ensures the quality of data. The Analyst I ensures that activities are carried out in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols. The Analyst I position continues the progressive responsibilities training progress including introduction to complex instrumentation operation.
Requirements:Responsibilities and Duties
- Works closely with the laboratory personnel to ensure a smooth workflow of analyses.
- Works under supervision, performing routine tasks.
- Sample preparation including homogenization, weighout, extraction and transfer.
- Responsible for preparing samples for analysis, and assisting the Laboratory Chemist and Technician by providing support as needed.
- Responsible for preparing standards and solutions.
- Works closely with Chemists on instrumentation operation including batch configuration and sample loading.
- To perform detail oriented work particularly when accurate measurements are collected using analytical balances.
- Stands for several hours at a time in order to perform analyses.
- Organizes, conducts, and evaluates testing procedures requiring a thorough knowledge of the techniques and materials involved.
- Works in conjunction with laboratory Technician and Chemist to ensure a seamless transition from raw sample to final results.
- Follows strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures regarding sample handling and follows Good Laboratory Practices to ensure the generation of high quality and reliable data.
- Records raw data in a neat and legible fashion on sample worksheets or in laboratory information system (LIMs)
- Supports developing new procedures or techniques, which significantly enhance work quality or cost effectiveness.
- Leads preventive maintenance on equipment and instrumentation to maximize instrument lifetime.
- Maintains a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of a broad range of plant medicine products, processes, and cultivation preferred (e.g. Cannabis, Hemp, CBD and Fungi).
- Working knowledge of regulations (local and federal), Good Laboratory Practices, and current official methods with at least 1 year of experience working in an accredited laboratory.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in plant medicine safety, quality and value is a plus.
- Experience as a CTND Laboratory Technician III is a plus.
- Equipment and Instrumentation (e.g. Analytical Balance, pH Meter, Moisture Balance, Water Activity Meter, Pipette, Analytical Syringe) experience preferred. HPLC, GC and ICP experience are a plus.
- Must have strong organizational, leadership, and technical skills.
- Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
- BS/BA degree required, MS/MA degree preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and pass required background check.

- Quantitative sample analysis
- Understand the purpose of the testing and determine if analyses do not meet minimum quality control and project criteria

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Laboratory and Testing Analyst, under the direction of the Laboratory and Testing Manager, will ensure licensed marijuana establishments operate safely and securely throughout the Commonwealth and abide by Commission regulations. The Laboratory and Testing Analyst will monitor, evaluate and analyze the certificates of analysis, current status of testing, cultivation, manufacturing and cannabis related research, including on-site visits, completing regulatory compliance inspections, reviewing and assessing the the protocols for testing and capacity of licensed Independent Testing Labs (ITLs) throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Commission with regulations, protocols, and methodologies regarding marijuana testing, which includes, but is not limited to potency, pesticides, residual solvents, heavy metals, microbial, terpenes, and water content;
- Collects data from the seed-to-sale tracking system and licensing database to identify testing parameters and related results;
- Complete regulatory compliance inspections for ITLs by conducting on-site and virtual inspections;
- Conduct site visits at ITLs in order to evaluate their standard operating procedures, observe testing methodologies, write lab reports and inspect the licensed premises to determine compliance with state regulations;
- In cooperation with licensing and enforcement staff, monitors and tracks the status of ITL licenses, certifications, and mandatory requirements;
- Reviews marijuana establishments testing related procedures;
- Assists the investigations and compliance team in reviewing and interpreting the certificates of analysis;
- Assists the investigations and compliance team in assessing ongoing testing related investigations;
- Implement state of the art techniques and approaches for collecting and analyzing testing and research related data;
- Maintains thorough documentation by gathering, verifying and reviewing information related to inspections pertaining to testing;
- Drafts memoranda or inspection reports that are accurate and factually sound, organized, and which also analyzes complex fact patterns that appropriately applies the relevant laws and regulations;
- Ensures that all the relevant documentation is entered into the case management system;
- Review and audit all testing activities which includes ensuring that ITLs are complying with the the seed-to-sale system of record;
- Responds to rule violations, incidents or complaints by issuing notices of deficiency;
- Refers legal issues or regulatory interpretation disputes to Enforcement Counsel staff’s attention through a supervisor in a timely manner;
- Keeps accurate spreadsheets regarding assigned inspections and other related matters and updates the case management system regularly;
- Performs related duties such as attending office or department meetings, administrative or court hearings, or depositions;
- Responds to and/or ensures that a response is provided in a timely and appropriate manner to inquiries from the public regarding agency policies, procedures, laws, rules and regulations;

Job Summary: North Coast Testing Laboratories, LLC (NCTL) is a cannabis testing laboratory serving the Michigan Recreational & Medical Marijuana market. NCTL is a production lab that analyzes cannabis flower, concentrates, and processed products for licensed producers throughout the state. Our team is looking for a night-shift Microbiology Laboratory Analyst to perform routine microbiological testing on customer samples according to approved laboratory methods.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Assist the Lead Microbiologist to perform various microbial analyses on customer samples such as Total Coliform, Total Yeast and Mold using manual plate count, film plate and qPCR methods following laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensuring adherence to quality assurance and quality control requirements.
· Assist Lead Microbiologist to perform Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) methods to detect and quantify pathogens of interest in customer samples. This includes the ability to interpret qPCR data.
· Work in a high production lab with high sample volume and quick sample throughput.
· Assess data compliance and validity using established quality assurance and quality control protocol to ensure that all work is performed and documented properly and in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
· Use the laboratory’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to report results obtained from various analyses.
· Assist in sample preparation for other analytical tests in the lab and ensure that all the documentation is up to date.
Required Qualifications:
· An associate degree (or higher) from a four-year accredited college or university in biology, microbiology, or similar discipline.
· Demonstrated knowledge of various microbial analytical techniques including manual plate methods and advanced instrumentation, procedures, and QA/QC criteria used in an analytical and/or environmental laboratory.
· Basic knowledge of microorganisms (i.e., relation to each other, identification, and sources of growth)
· Experience with the qPCR technique and analysis required.
· Experience working in a production lab is preferred.
· Experience with computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
Availability to work evenings/nights and one day per each weekend is required.

Confidence Analytics is an industry leader in the field of cannabis quality assurance testing. We are a full-service chemical analytical and microbiology laboratory serving the DCC regulated marketplace. We are seeking an entry-level analyst/technician to support our laboratory operations and grow with our team.
Position Summary:
Laboratory Analyst 1 personnel are responsible for routine activities in the lab, performing Compliance Tests and R & D tests on a variety of cannabis products. Lab Analyst 1 employees prepare samples to analyze loss on drying, water activity, foreign matter, cannabinoid concentrations, microbial contamination, terpenes, residual solvents, mycotoxins, chemical residues/pesticides, heavy metals, and other tests as needed. Analysts are required to keep lab facilities clean and orderly to facilitate accurate and efficient testing. Analysts track all work to ensure data is entered to the Confidence Analytics Laboratory software system correctly and in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
-Weigh and photograph each sample and record sample notes as needed.
-Ensure samples are properly labelled throughout all phases of the testing process.
-Prepare and label sample test tubes and vials for various tests.
-Examine samples for foreign matter and macroscopic contaminants such as spider mites or mold and inspect samples with a microscope when needed.
-Prepare samples for testing, closely following the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for each test.
-Collect and weigh sub-samples for HPLC, microbial analysis, and GC-FID, GCMS, ICP-MS, and LCMS.
-Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) at every step.
-Accurately dispense appropriate solvents and perform dilutions.
-Operate vortexer, ball mill, sonicator, and centrifuge.

-Prepare samples for microbial samples using PCR.
-Maintain sample chain of custody from intake through sample storage, archive, and disposal.
-Clean equipment and laboratory area daily and properly dispose of laboratory wastes.
-Safely handle and ensure proper disposal of potentially hazardous materials.
-Adhere to safety and sanitation standards including use of goggles, lab coats, appropriate footwear, etc.

Requirement(s):
The Analyst 1 position is an entry level laboratory position and the DCC state that the candidate must have, at minimum, EITHER:
(1) Earned a master’s degree OR a bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural,
environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university;

(2) Completed 2 years of college or university education that included coursework in
biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited

Laboratory Analyst 1 personnel are responsible for routine activities in the lab, performing I-502 and R & D tests on a variety of cannabis products. This is professional services work performing investigations and processing of adult and medical use cannabis applications and registrations. Responsibilities include researching, collecting, and analyzing diverse information; preparing reports; summarizing findings; investigating complex applications; issuing licenses; recommending applications/registrations for denial; overseeing and training licensing staff; and assisting the Director by making recommendations on operational improvements. Specific duties include:
- Evaluate and lead review of new and renewal medical and adult use applications, registrations, changes to plans of record, and changes of ownership or location to determine compliance with program statues and rules.

Our Richmond, VA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Analyst I (Toxicology) who will be responsible for helping keep the lab environment clean and organized, prepare solutions, maintain equipment, and conduct studies to determine the toxicity of nicotine-containing products. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory, will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions, and will be passionate about doing work that moves things forward.
- Analyze data collected in real time data and assess experimental progress
- Follow study protocols and methods based on published scientific articles and technical reports.
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
- Conduct laboratory day-to-day duties, such as preparation of laboratory materials and solutions as well as housekeeping and ordering responsibilities
- Assist in data compilation and review
- Work in a GLP compliant environment
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan
- Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

General Responsibilities

Job Description
The Laboratory Analyst is responsible for all duties administered by the Laboratory Manager and the Laboratory Director in conjunction with regulations established by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED), and ISO 17025 requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct Gobi Analytical laboratory operations and performance as per the Laboratory Director and Manager.
- Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
- Follow Quality Assurance protocols.
- Maintain a high level of performance to uphold the integrity of laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Conduct sample preparation of several types of tests required by CDPHE and MED according to the SOPs.
- Prepare media and reagents as required.

- Daily QC checks and maintenance of instruments – balances, refrigerators, freezers, instruments.
- Effectively interact with laboratory personnel and managers to ensure all quality requirements are addressed and maintained.

- Stock laboratory supplies.
- Maintain general laboratory cleaning and safety.
- Receive and log samples as needed.
- Assist in planning for each phase of tasks and in defining objectives and activities.

We are currently seeking an entry-level Chemist/Laboratory Analyst to provide sample preparation and analytical support to our tobacco research and drug characterization studies. This position will require that you work with controlled substances. Adherence to all associated rules and regulations are mandatory.
Your responsibilities will include the preparation of samples from chemical and botanical compounds, including cannabis and tobacco products, to be used for analysis and shipment to researchers.
This will require the operation of smoking machines used to collect smoke condensate and constituents in tobacco mixtures (shisha) and cigarettes, for analysis. After appropriate training, you will perform laboratory skills including solution and standard preparations, dilutions, extractions, pH analysis, titrations, and chromatography (HPLC, GC) used for qualitative and quantitative analyses.
Additionally, you will:
- Work with team members to plan and execute project tasks to meet established timelines
- Maintain Laboratory Notebooks where applicable
- Record data and results as specified in documentation procedures
- Follow safety requirements and maintain good housekeeping of lab areas
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors level degree in chemistry or related discipline, or an Associates level degree in chemistry or related discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of analytical chemistry.
- Experience with basic lab equipment (pipet, balance, glassware).
- Must have good attention to detail, basic problem solving, communication and good documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a regulated (FDA, DEA) environment and be compliant with SOPs, study plans, laboratory safety requirements, and other RTI mandated procedures.

What You will be doing
- Sample preparation and Analysis. Prepare and analyze samples for microbiological contamination, using classical microbiological techniques as well as molecular methods.
- Supporting Chemists & Microbiologists with sample preparation. Our team prepares samples for analysis using gas chromatography, HPLC, plating methods, ELISA, PCR & NIR.
- Support Senior Scientists with method development. Our team is dedicated to constant improvement, and is always working on new methods and ways to optimize current methods. You will have the opportunity to develop and validate new methods within the parameters of ISO 17025.
- Review & analyze data. All data must undergo extensive review by analysts, quality assurance and and the laboratory director before being released to the client.

Laboratory analyst/microbiologist is responsible for conducting prep and analysis and performing all tasks assigned to them by their supervisor. The responsibilities of the analysts include:
- Prepare and conduct analytical testing of cannabis and hemp samples
- Strictly adhere to all analytical and quality SOPs and procedures
- Clearly document all work done from preparation of samples and standards to instrument calibration and maintenance to raw data calculations in a timely manner
- Report all non-conformance situations, instrument problems, matrix problems and QC failures, which can affect the reliability of the data, to the supervisor
- Perform 100% review of the data generated prior to entering and submitting for secondary level review

We're looking for motivated, self-starting team players to work in an exciting and challenging analytical lab environment. The role of Lab Analyst is extremely important and requires a multi-faceted skill set. The successful candidate and their team are responsible for acquiring and analyzing data used to perform and report analytical laboratory testing of cannabis products, assisting with sample preparation, performing advanced lab support functions, and support lab improvement projects. The ability to work across a variety of tasks, in a production environment, is an essential attribute for the successful candidate.
The Lab Analyst reports to the Laboratory Director. The successful candidate will have (i) A doctorate in the chemical or microbiological sciences from a college or university accredited by a national or regional certifying authority with a minimum of two years' post-degree laboratory experience; (ii) A master's degree in the chemical or microbiological sciences from a college or university accredited by a national or regional certifying authority with a minimum of four years' of post-degree laboratory experience; or (iii) A bachelor's degree in the chemical or microbiological sciences from a college or university accredited by a national or regional certifying authority with a minimum of six years of post-education laboratory experience, be familiar with a wide range of laboratory methodologies, and experience analyzing data acquired from instruments such as HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, ICPMS and/or instruments used to detect and quantify pathogens. The ideal candidate also will have experience with the laboratory testing of cannabis products, in a commercial lab. The Lab Analyst will be expected to work across a variety of tasks with attention to detail, organization, and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Candidate must be comfortable working with cannabis
- Perform data acquisition, analysis of data, and report preparation for the testing/screening for cannabinoid potency, terpene potency, residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, microbiology analysis, water activity, and mycotoxins
- Identify and assign sample re-tests
- Learn and execute established Steep Hill and state regulatory SOPs
- As needed, provide guidance for and assist with sample preparation
- As assigned, perform advanced lab support functions such as calibration standard preparation, analytical equipment tuning and maintenance, and analysis of data used for laboratory quality control
- As assigned, support and/or lead laboratory process, method, and operations improvement projects
- As assigned, assist with the validation of test methods and with R&D activities
- As assigned, assist with the upkeep and improvement of elements of the quality management system such as SOPs and the training program
- Ability to provide support and integrate seamlessly with other key departments within Steep Hill
- Perform other laboratory and clerical duties such as data entry, filing, or supply inventory and assumption of other responsibilities on an as-needed basis, or as delegated

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must be at least 21 years old
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Candidate must be at least 21 years old
- (i) A doctorate in the chemical or microbiological sciences from a college or university accredited by a national or regional certifying authority with a minimum of two years' post-degree laboratory experience; (ii) A master's degree in the chemical or microbiological sciences from a college or university accredited by a national or regional certifying authority with a minimum of four years of post-degree laboratory experience; or (iii) A bachelor's degree in the chemical or microbiological sciences from a college or university accredited by a national or regional certifying authority with a minimum of six years of post-education laboratory experience.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience analyzing data acquired using instruments such as HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, ICPMS
- 1-2 years of prior experience in an accredited academic or commercial lab is preferred
- Well-versed in data analysis (chemical, biological, or both)
- Ability to think critically
- Previous experience working in the cannabis industry is a plus
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting, multitask, and prioritize assignments
- Previous experience with Lab Information Management systems
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build a strong team
- Ideal candidate will be a creative, analytical problem-solver who can cooperatively work effectively with colleagues
- Understands and follows verbal and written instructions; works independently in the absence of supervision
- Ideal candidate will possess the ability to make mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
- Ability to adapt to rapid changes and utilize newly-emergent technological solutions –e.g., Zendesk, Xero, Slack, and Power BI, as well as company-built ERP (MyLab™)
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and GSuite (primarily Google Sheets & Google Docs)
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written command) with excellent computer, typing, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, ability and willingness to multi-task, and the ability to prioritize and manage assignments
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a collaborative environment
- Personal integrity, disciplined work ethic, organization skills, and motivation to work with a sense of urgency
- Willingness to travel throughout the United States and internationally, on an as-needed basis
