We are currently seeking a Part-Time Business Development Assistant to be based in Mt Pleasant, MI or remote (US). This position will be up to 25 hours per week.
As a key member of the business team, the Business Development Assistant performs a wide range of duties associated with increasing sales of services for the Company. Duties are:
- Assessment of marketing opportunities and target markets
- Intelligence gathering on customers and competitors
- Generating leads for possible sales
- Advising on, drafting and enforcing sales policies and processes
- Follow-up sales activity
- Communication with the Laboratory regarding customer needs and requests
- Assistance with company website and creating marketing materials
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Our Orange, CA Laboratory is currently seeking a Full-Time Field Courier/Sampling Technician to join our team to support our San Diego service area.
Schedule 10am - 6:30pm
As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Responsible for delivery of sample containers and pick up of environmental samples
- Works with field coordinator to determine the best route to minimize travel time and maximize total of jobs
- Prepares proper containers and calibrates field parameters prior to each field sampling project
- Properly fills out chain-of-custodies and follows sample acceptance procedures
- Handles and drives the company vehicle in a responsible and legal manner
- Schedule routine maintenance of assigned company vehicle
- Adheres to Enthalpy’s Ethical Policy and Quality Assurance Manual
- Assists with the repair of field equipment including ISCO compositors and field meters
- Assists with sample login as needed
- Perform additional duties as requested by Group Leader
- Participates in focus teams as needed
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Our Berkeley, CA facility is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and support the testing of nicotine and cannabis products. QA Managers are responsible for ensuring the lab operations are complying with state, federal, and industry regulations to meet the expectations of our clients by efficiently and profitably generating defensible data on time.
As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Essential Job Functions:
- The goal of the QA department is to identify, report, solve, and/or correct any quality related issues, maintain high standards, and ensure the laboratory is meeting compliance requirements.
- The QA Manager is responsible for quality assurance and safety oversight.
- The QA Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the laboratory’s Quality Management System (QMS), standards compliance and laboratory accreditations.
- The QA Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring improvements in human, technical, safety, and quality systems to improve data quality, operational effectiveness and efficiency.
The QA Manager functions independently from Laboratory Operations, including production and financial responsibilities.
- Leading the laboratory’s data quality maintenance and improvement activities
- Managing, maintaining, and expanding the lab’s accreditations and licenses
- Coordinating and collaborating with the method development team to ensure new methods are fully validated
- Implementing and revising the QA program/QA Manual
- Ensuring SOP’s are written, organized, reviewed at required time periods, updated if necessary, and compliant to standards
- Completing, evaluating, reporting PE/PT results and corrective actions
- Organizing records and documenting personnel training
- Providing QA/QC program training for lab staff
- Proactively ensuring compliance to ethics program
- Performing and documenting internal audits and data assessments
- Organizing, maintaining, and completing standard reporting requirements (ISO-17025, etc.)
- Detecting, documenting, monitoring, resolving, and closing non-conformance and corrective action reports
- Manage QA support personnel as needed
- Providing ideas for improved efficiencies and best management practices to QA Regional Director
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

- Repair PC and server hardware failures.
- Maintain and update servers and associated systems and hardware.
- Program new EDD and report templates to meet client requirements.
- Provide assistance with and training in the use of LIMS/DM software in cases where others are unable to resolve.
- Program new quality control automation, instrument/LIMS interfaces, and LIMS user interfaces.
- Manage and maintain supplies of computer hardware.
- Ensure computer systems are adequately backed up.

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Daily monitoring of sample scheduling to ensure that samples are analyzed within EPA's and methods’ holding time
- Schedule workload in order to report data within clients expected due dates
- Routine sample preparation and analysis according to Standard Methods 846 and EPA methods
- Performs analyst's review of data and QC
- Reviews of QA/QC criteria for batch acceptance
- Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and follow safe work practices
- Participates in instruments' preventative maintenance and trouble shooting
- Participates in focus teams to improve efficiency
- Be flexible in work schedule including overtime when needed
- React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as prescribed by the Company

Our Richmond, VA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Technician I (Toxicology).
A Toxicology Laboratory Technician I is responsible for conducting aerosol exposure studies and analyzing data collected. The ideal candidate will have experience in working under possibly hazardous conditions (e.g. pathogens or chemicals). He/She will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that makes things move forward.
- Help conduct aerosol exposure studies for determining potential mutagenic, genotoxic and cytotoxic activity of complex mixtures or experimental test articles from various sources.
- Analyze data collected in real time data and assess experimental progress
- Follow study protocols and methods based on published scientific articles and technical reports.
- Work with and without supervision to setup up instruments used in aerosol exposure studies and document experimental setups and results.
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
- Conduct laboratory day-to-day duties, such as preparation of laboratory materials and solutions as well as housekeeping and ordering responsibilities
- Assist in data compilation, review and interpretation.
- Prepare summary of findings and observation
- Work in a GLP compliant environment
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies

Our El Dorado Hills, CA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Sample Prep Chemist to join our team.
As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Preparation, extraction, and clean-up of various environmental sample matrices
- Perform sample preparation where needed (i.e. homogenization, etc.)
- Use of centrifuge, analytical balance, and various evaporative systems with organic solvents
- Dispose of laboratory waste in a safe manner following prescribed procedures
- Maintaining clean laboratory areas
- Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
- Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
- Dispose of laboratory waste in a safe manner following prescribed procedures
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan
- Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
- Individuals will get scheduled on a Sunday - Wednesday shift or Wednesday - Saturday shift.

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Analyze water and soil samples for alkalinity, conductivity (EC), pH, settlable solids, total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), and turbidity.
- Analyze water and soil samples for Oil & grease, Oil & Grease with silica cleanup, cyanide, sulfides, BTU, corrosivity, Ferrous iron, Flash point, Ignitability, MBAS, Phenols, Ortho and total phosphates, Reactive Cyanide, Reactive Sulfide, Salinity.
- Analyze water and soil samples for Ammonia, BOD, COD, Hexavalent Chromium, and TOCWB

As a key member of the laboratory team, a Group Leader directly supervises technicians and/or analysts and helps the Sr. Manager with project scheduling. The group Leader is involved with sample generation, testing, and data review for projects, equips and maintains a well-trained and informed staff to meet the expectations of our clients by efficiently and profitably generating defensible data on time, and works on technical/scientific project activities to execute strategies and solutions that meet client needs and expectations. The group Leader also helps determine methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinate activities of other employees. Additional duties are:
Primary Responsibilities

Enthalpy is seeking a Laboratory Director (LD) for their Environmental Toxicology Laboratory in San Diego, CA. The Laboratory Director will have supervisory control of all operations and production aspects of the 25-person ecotoxicology laboratory. The Laboratory Director is primarily responsible for the application and development of the labs’ resources to meet current and future staff and client needs. They are also a subject matter expert in the area of Environmental Toxicology. The LD aides in development of proposal material, guides business development strategy, provides technical consultation to clients, and creates and develops study designs and testing regiments to achieve project goals.
The Lab Director is responsible for the business unit management, control of operating costs, laboratory operations, Information Technology and Financial performance of the lab.
As a key member of the Team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- The Laboratory Director's responsibilities encompass the general business management of the laboratory, and all its resources, including equipment, facilities and personnel
- Ensure that the highest standards of quality and customer service are maintained. Collaborate with Quality Assurance staff on development and implementation of effective programs. Monitor proficiency testing program as required; oversee the validity of the analyses performed and data generated to ensure reliable data.
- Provide technical oversight for the Project management and scientific teams; including development of study designs, technical consulting, and proposal development.
- Provide insightful solutions to problems as they arise
- Keep abreast of new technical and regulatory developments. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase quality of services and operational efficiency.

Our Richmond, VA laboratory is currently seeking a Full-Time Project Management Assistant who will be responsible for is responsible for answering phone, purchasing and reconciling invoices for AP approval. The PMA is also responsible for supporting the Project Manager.
- Creates field sampling and bottle order requests
- Contacts clients to confirm sampling schedule
- Coordinates with subcontract labs for sample delivery and project status
- Generates subcontract COCs
- Assists with sample logins
- Puts together sample bottle kits
- Reviews work order tickets
- Sends client sample receipt confirmation
- Reviews draft invoices
- Creates and send preliminary reports to clients
- Setup Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs) cross tables and checkers
- Generates and uploads Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs)
- Participates in focus teams, if applicable
- Generates and submit state reporting forms and Self-Monitoring Reports
- Manages small, simple accounts
- Reviews reports for completeness and accuracy
- Generates and reviews invoices

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Daily monitoring of sample scheduling to ensure that samples are analyzed within EPA's and methods’ holding time
- Schedule workload in order to report data within clients expected due dates
- Routine sample preparation and analysis according to Standard Methods 846 and EPA methods
- Performs analyst's review of data and QC

Our Richmond, VA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Analyst I (Toxicology) who will be responsible for helping keep the lab environment clean and organized, prepare solutions, maintain equipment, and conduct studies to determine the toxicity of nicotine-containing products. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory, will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions, and will be passionate about doing work that moves things forward.
- Analyze data collected in real time data and assess experimental progress
- Follow study protocols and methods based on published scientific articles and technical reports.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Inside Sales Rep to be based in Richmond, VA.
Enthalpy is looking for a talented and competitive Inside Sales Representative that is client focused, driven by growth and thrives in a sales environment. The position is for our lab located in Richmond, VA but not necessary to be local.
Additional duties are:
- Generate proposals, quotes or responses for formal requests or bids
- Respond to web inquiries and inbound requests to help determine client needs
- Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process and develop meaningful relationships with clients to encourage trust and loyalty, as well as identify new opportunities within the client’s organization
- Maintain and expand database of websites/vendor portals for RFPs, RFQs, renewals, etc
- Conduct routine follow ups and customer touches within an assigned roster of accounts
- Identify new opportunities of work with current clients as well as prospects within your assigned territory
- Work with Business Development Manager (BDM), PMs and lab director to increase pipeline and close opportunities
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate BDM for further development and closure
- Document interactions and opportunities in Salesforce (or other CRM)
- Perform effective online demos/sampling protocols, COC instructions, sample packing, etc
- Ensure staff comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan

Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.
Our IT group is currently seeking a Part-Time IT Analyst to join our team.
As a key member of the IT Group, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Repair PC and server hardware failures.
- Maintain and update servers and associated systems and hardware.
- Program new EDD and report templates to meet client requirements.
- Provide assistance with and training in the use of LIMS/DM software in cases where others are unable to resolve.
- Program new quality control automation, instrument/LIMS interfaces, and LIMS user interfaces.
- Manage and maintain supplies of computer hardware.
- Ensure computer systems are adequately backed up.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Our Orange, CA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Analyst to join our Wet Chemistry Department.
As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Analyze water and soil samples for alkalinity, conductivity (EC), pH, settlable solids, total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), and turbidity.
- Analyze water and soil samples for Oil & grease, Oil & Grease with silica cleanup, cyanide, sulfides, BTU, corrosivity, Ferrous iron, Flash point, Ignitability, MBAS, Phenols, Ortho and total phosphates, Reactive Cyanide, Reactive Sulfide, Salinity.
- Analyze water and soil samples for Ammonia, BOD, COD, Hexavalent Chromium, and TOCWB
- Cleaning of laboratory glassware
- Maintaining clean laboratory areas
- Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
- Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
- Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan
- Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Our Richmond, VA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Group Leader to join our Metals Team.
As a key member of the laboratory team, Group Leaders equip and maintain a well-trained and informed staff to meet the expectations of our clients by efficiently and profitably generating defensible date on time. Our Group Leaders will be an analyst who is responsible for most aspects of an operating team within the lab. Additional duties are:
- Analyze air derived and various client-provided sample matrices for elemental metals using ICPMS, OES and CVAA
- Personnel supervision, time management, and operational efficiency
- Conflict resolution and personnel skills development, team building and conflict resolution
- Accurate and timely communication with internal and external clients
- Project scheduling, focus on rush sample digestion and analysis
- Perform instrument maintenance and repair
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Prepare calibration standards & calibrate instruments
- Maintain inventory of standards & supplies; order replacements as needed
- Accurate and timely communication with internal and external clients
- Development of analytical methods
- Write and assist with updating related SOPs
- Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
- Peer review other analysts’ data packages, data entry, sequences, bench books, etc.

- They must be able to handle non-routine samples and be capable of managing an effective workflow in their department (this includes managing man-hours, machine time and logistics for numerous assays)

- Translate laboratory workflows into database schemas, views and reports
- Manage Oracle SQL data bases
- Develop and implement LIMS (Lab Information Management System) applications utilizing Perl, JavaScript, & HTML/CSS
- Work with end-users to diagnose problems and implement solutions
- Create automated regression tests
- Develop applications for data capture and instrument control
- Exercise safe work practices by following company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs
- Participate in company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts
