Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure maximum profitability and sales growth in all store functions by managing expense budgets, including deposits, accounts receivable, and profit and loss.
- Direct daily operations with full P&L responsibility at the store-level.
- Seek out new and innovative ways to increase business.
- Maintain quality customer service by establishing and enforcing company standards, handling customer inquiries, and resolving any complaints.

Education and Experience

- Proper employment documentation; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years of experience in General Manager roles in a retail, hospitality, and/or sales setting is required-or equivalent.
- Cannabis experience strongly preferred.

We are a full-service chemical analytical and microbiology laboratory serving the DCC regulated marketplace in California. We are seeking applicants to fill the role of Laboratory Manager in our California Laboratory.
Position Summary:
The Laboratory Manager (Lab Manager) is responsible for managing the daily operations of the laboratory. The Lab Manager brings together their managerial skills and knowledge of lab and safety procedures to ensure that the laboratory operates safely and efficiently. Duties include training Laboratory Analysts on SOPs, correct use of lab equipment, safety procedures, and proper etiquette when working in the lab. It is the Lab Manager’s responsibility to keep track of inventory and purchase new supplies when necessary and/or to delegate this responsibility as necessary. The Lab Manager ensures all equipment is functional and properly maintained, calibrated and documented. The Lab Manager responds to Laboratory Analysts’ questions and concerns, and ensures that the lab has all structures and practices in place to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate processing of samples.
The Lab Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Quality Assurance Director to ensure ISO compliance in the California Laboratory. They will also work with HR for personnel management of lab staff; such as scheduling, employee development, performance assessment, etc.
Requirement(s):
The opportunity is for laboratory positions Analyst I, Analyst II, and Laboratory Manager. The DCC requires that the candidate must have, at minimum, EITHER:
(1) Earned a master’s degree OR a bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural,
environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university;
OR
(2) Completed 2 years of college or university education that included coursework in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university, plus at least 3 years of full-time practical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Know and be able to perform all key responsibilities for Laboratory Analyst 1 & 2.
- Train Laboratory Analysts on SOPs, proper use of lab equipment, waste disposal, and safety procedures.
- Assist in developing and maintaining training materials for Lab Analysts.
- Update documentation as training processes change.
- Assist in oversight of Laboratory Analyst’s DOCs and ensure that they are maintaining their successful DOC status.
- Facilitate open and honest communication between all lab members. Respond to employees’ requests and concerns. Ensure that information is being accurately transmitted from the front desk to the laboratory, and vice versa.
- Understand regulatory requirements specific to this laboratory and ensure all analysts are in compliance with those standards.
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable on all procedures in the lab, and constantly be searching for and implementing new practices to maximize efficiency and minimize error.
- Maintain laboratory supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipate needed supplies, place orders for supplies, and verify receipt of supplies.
- Complete a monthly expense report detailing purchases made.
- Delegate these responsibilities as appropriate.
- Equipment
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functional by performing required preventative maintenance.
- Receive new equipment and assign an ID.
- Create equipment packets for new items.
- Add equipment to the equipment list.
- Send out pipettes, dispensers, and thermometers for calibration.
- Occasionally fix broken equipment.
- Validate new equipment.
- Ensure quarterly pipette checks are done.
- Organize, maintain and update all documentation for all pieces of equipment, including instrument manuals, error logs, maintenance schedules, calibration certificates, etc.
- Calibrate all measuring equipment (balances, thermometers, weights, pipettes) on a regular basis to ensure that all devices are accurate, reliable and consistent.
- Following the Quality Department's direction, ensure that calibrations are executed in a timely fashion.
- Purchase all necessary replacement parts for equipment.
- Schedule disposal of dangerous waste on a timely basis so the laboratory remains under the limit for local storage requirements.
- Maintain all structures and take all actions necessary to ensure that the laboratory operates smoothly and consistently, and all samples are processed in a professional and timely manner.

Necessary Skills
- Strong leadership skills.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Community Development Director is the department director class managing the overall operation of the Community Development Department, including planning, building, code compliance, housing, community block grant programs, and commercial cannabis regulatory oversight. The director also works with the City Manager’s office on economic development and expansion of commercial, industrial, and housing uses to enhance the City’s vitality.
Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (include but are not limited to the following)
- Directs all Community Development Department activities and services, while developing, implementing, and maintaining departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
- Leading and/or overseeing updates to the City’s General Plan, Development Code, and other policy documents.
- Overseeing development application reviews in conjunction with department staff and coordinating the citywide Development Review Committee.
- Overseeing contract building services for plan review and inspection.
- Managing code compliance activities in coordination with Police, Fire, Public Works, and Administrative Services Departments.
- Continuing to support the commercial cannabis industry and overseeing the implementation of on-site consumption lounges.
- Implementing the recent Development Code update to implement the City’s updated Housing Element which included substantial revisions including fractional densities, objective design standards and by-right development for mixed-use projects with less than 10 dwellings.
- Updating the Circulation and Noise Elements as well as the Local Coastal Program.
- Preparing, managing, and coordinating the Community Development Department budget.
- Assigning work activities to appropriate department personnel and evaluating work methods and procedures for improving organizational performance and enhancing services.
- Managing the selection, training, and evaluation of programs for all Community Development personnel and reviewing the work of department personnel to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Attending and participating in professional and community meetings and resolving sensitive and complex community and organizational inquiries, issues, and complaints.
- Continue to maintain and improve a proactive, customer service orientation within the department.
- Developing and presenting reports and other information to the City Council, Planning Commission, and other governmental and non-governmental bodies.
- Coordinating activities with other City officials, departments, agencies, organizations, and the public.
- Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with representatives of state/local agencies, City management and staff, and the public.
Typical Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in urban or regional planning, public administration, or a related field. A master’s degree in a related field is desirable. Equivalent of five years of increasingly responsible experience in urban or regional planning, including three years in a supervisory or management capacity. Additionally, any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for a Community Development Director. Coastal planning experience is desirable but not required.
License/Certificate:
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Class C California driver’s license prior to appointment.

We are a full-service chemical analytical and microbiology laboratory serving the DCC regulated marketplace. We are seeking an entry-level analyst/technician to support our laboratory operations and grow with our team.
Position Summary:
Laboratory Analyst 1 personnel are responsible for routine activities in the lab, performing Compliance Tests and R & D tests on a variety of cannabis products. Lab Analyst 1 employees prepare samples to analyze loss on drying, water activity, foreign matter, cannabinoid concentrations, microbial contamination, terpenes, residual solvents, mycotoxins, chemical residues/pesticides, heavy metals, and other tests as needed. Analysts are required to keep lab facilities clean and orderly to facilitate accurate and efficient testing. Analysts track all work to ensure data is entered to the Confidence Analytics Laboratory software system correctly and in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
-Weigh and photograph each sample and record sample notes as needed.
-Ensure samples are properly labelled throughout all phases of the testing process.
-Prepare and label sample test tubes and vials for various tests.
-Examine samples for foreign matter and macroscopic contaminants such as spider mites or mold and inspect samples with a microscope when needed.
-Prepare samples for testing, closely following the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for each test.
-Collect and weigh sub-samples for HPLC, microbial analysis, and GC-FID, GCMS, ICP-MS, and LCMS.
-Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) at every step.
-Accurately dispense appropriate solvents and perform dilutions.
-Operate vortexer, ball mill, sonicator, and centrifuge.

-Prepare samples for microbial samples using PCR.
-Maintain sample chain of custody from intake through sample storage, archive, and disposal.
-Clean equipment and laboratory area daily and properly dispose of laboratory wastes.
-Safely handle and ensure proper disposal of potentially hazardous materials.
-Adhere to safety and sanitation standards including use of goggles, lab coats, appropriate footwear, etc.

Scope of Work: Robust Uniformed Security Specialist to monitor Access Control and follow the BCC Regulations and follow Company Policy and Procedures.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Patient Consultant is responsible for educating patients on the benefits and potential side effects of medication. In this role you will need to be knowledgeable about various products and their effects. The primary function of the Patient Consultant is to provide excellent customer service and patient care while dispensing medication to patients and caregivers, per department rules.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, guests, and coworkers
- Coordinate return and exchanges in accordance with company policy
- Print return/exchange forms for all stations and delivery
- Update the Register Inventory sheet as needed
- Assess inventory needed in the live inventory room and transfer items as needed, complete daily inventory counts
- Assess inventory overages and shortages and submit inventory needs to the logistics
- Assess accessory needs with manager and order as needed
- Enter all vape pens and merchandise into point of sale system when received
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Additional Responsibilities as TruHost:
- Follow Waitly guidelines and TruService Plan
- Provide excellent customer service by displaying welcoming behaviors
- Interact with patients waiting in the lobby
- Charge iPads at the end of the shift
- Clear the waitlist of any left-over patient names at the end of the shift.

- Assist with processing all online orders, including deliveries, in a 2-hour timeframe.

- Ensure the ability of patient to purchase product in order prior to POS

- Follow and uphold all policy and procedure per SOP

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High-school diploma or equivalent and experience in the field or in a similar field
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Prior experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service area is a plus
- Must have prior cash handling experience
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and with a variety of personalities at various seniority levels
- Must possess excellent people skills and be able to communicate effectively with others in both verbal and written form

Our budtenders are responsible for assisting patients and guests in all aspects of the purchase, education of cannabis ,and may include the training of new budtending staff. The majority of time is spent ensuring the dispensary is well-kept and running properly and guests are serviced properly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure stations are ready to go at venue opening time
- Maintain fully stocked and clean stations at all times
- Assist with running side work, stocking, and cleaning during any and all downtime
- Ensure opening and closing cleaning and organization checklist is completed
- Coordinate and participate in periodic all-staff cleanings and staff meetings
- Maintain proper cash-handling procedure at all times
- Ensure all guests are greeted as they arrive and wished farewell on upon their departure
- Ensure all guests/patients receive excellent customer service
- Inform the Inventory Manager or MOD if any product inventory is running low
- Be knowledgeable of any and all special including in house daily deals and Weedmaps daily deals
- Participate in staff events, outings and promotional events
- As possible, read industry publications to keep up-to-date on trends (articles posted by management are required reading)
- Remain familiar with industry compliance and regulatory requirements as applicable to retail operations (such as: Medical versus Recreational, weight conversions, minimum age purchasing laws, etc.)
- Knowledgeable on all cannabis products carried by Urbn Leaf
- Knowledgeable on cannabinoids, terpenes, and methods of cannabis consumption as it relates to sales of cannabis products
- Reception of the guests, including profile creation or updates
- Ensure each guest receives your full attention during their transaction
- Keep all personal items off the sales floor at all times
- Ensure you are on time for each and every shift
- Ensure your uniform is clean and you have all tools at your station prepared for your shift
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned by any other Shift Lead, Manager or Superior
Qualifications:
- Must be able to input and access information in point of sales system
- Must be able to follow all company cash handling policies and maintain an accurate cash drawer at all times
- Must be able to provide legible communication
- Must be comfortable learning new skills
- Must have reliable transportation and be punctual for all shifts, meetings and outings

- Preferred (not required) work experience as bartender, wait staff, catering, or other hospitality-industry position

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Shift Supervisor will partner with the Dispensary Manager to lead the team. This role should lead by example by being the ultimate illustration of service, dedication, pace, and energy. The Shift Supervisor will also be primarily responsible for receiving deliveries, inputting inventory data, restocking product on the floor, and ensuring that all product remains in FIFO order. The Shift Supervisor should mentor, motivate, elevate, and inspire the team by keeping a positive and can-do attitude at all times.
- Follow and uphold established policies for sales and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge and strive to train and share that knowledge with other members of the team
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring an assortment of product, and communicating inventory action items with the Store Manager
- Assist Patient Care Specialists in the consultation of patients to ensure that the employee is empowered and informed on the right product choices by being knowledgeable about how different methods of cannabis consumption affect our patients differently

o Correct cash handling and discount application

ROLE SUMMARY
The Patient Consultant is responsible for educating patients on the benefits and potential side effects of medication. In this role you will need to be knowledgeable about various products and their effects. - Enter all vape pens and merchandise into point of sale system when received

Our Assistant Managers are responsible for the day to day operations of the retail staff, delivery staff and security staff. Our budtenders are responsible for assisting patients and guests in all aspects of the purchase, education of cannabis ,and may include the training of new budtending staff. The majority of time is spent ensuring the dispensary is well-kept and running properly and guests are serviced properly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure stations are ready to go at venue opening time
- Maintain fully stocked and clean stations at all times
- Assist with running side work, stocking, and cleaning during any and all downtime
- Ensure opening and closing cleaning and organization checklist is completed
- Coordinate and participate in periodic all-staff cleanings and staff meetings
- Maintain proper cash-handling procedure at all times
- Ensure all guests are greeted as they arrive and wished farewell on upon their departure
- Ensure all guests/patients receive excellent customer service
- Inform the Inventory Manager or MOD if any product inventory is running low
- Be knowledgeable of any and all special including in house daily deals and Weedmaps daily deals
- Participate in staff events, outings and promotional events
- As possible, read industry publications to keep up-to-date on trends (articles posted by management are required reading)
- Remain familiar with industry compliance and regulatory requirements as applicable to retail operations (such as: Medical versus Recreational, weight conversions, minimum age purchasing laws, etc.)
- Knowledgeable on all cannabis products carried by Urbn Leaf
- Knowledgeable on cannabinoids, terpenes, and methods of cannabis consumption as it relates to sales of cannabis products
- Reception of the guests, including profile creation or updates
- Ensure each guest receives your full attention during their transaction
- Keep all personal items off the sales floor at all times
- Ensure you are on time for each and every shift
- Ensure your uniform is clean and you have all tools at your station prepared for your shift
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned by any other Shift Lead, Manager or Superior
Qualifications:
- Must be able to input and access information in point of sales system
- Must be able to follow all company cash handling policies and maintain an accurate cash drawer at all times

POSITION SUMMARY
We have an immediate need for aFulfillment Associate in Van Nuys, CA. The Fulfillment Associate will report to the Operations Manager and will package, receive, store, pull, ship, and distribute Mary’s Medicinals branded products following established department procedures.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Packages and prepares orders for fulfillment
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station for the shipping department
- Quality control of daily fulfillment orders
- Properly prepare small package shipments for shipping
- Ship small packages utilizing shipping software
- Prepare fulfillment orders for LTL shipments
- Distribute department transfers
- Aisle Maintenance – fronting and consolidating products, removing empty boxes and pallets
- Cycle Counts – physical counting of all items in assigned aisle(s)
- Verify and sign for all deliveries into the facility
- Verify and distribute paper shipments to the appropriate departments
- Verification of products – accurate receiving counts and documentation preparation
- After the training period, understand and execute production per production schedule with little or no direction
- Clean workstation after each shift to prepare for next-day production
- Enter data into our oil log and create production sheets after each batch of product is made
- Make Product Daily with minimal supervision
- Update and manage raw material inventory
- Assist with fulfillment/packaging
- Maintain cleanliness of lab, including but not limited taking out the trash and cleaning dishes
JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Position Summary:
Our budtenders are responsible for assisting patients and guests in all aspects of the purchase, education of cannabis ,and may include the training of new budtending staff. The majority of time is spent ensuring the dispensary is well-kept and running properly and guests are serviced properly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure stations are ready to go at venue opening time
- Maintain fully stocked and clean stations at all times
- Assist with running side work, stocking, and cleaning during any and all downtime
- Ensure opening and closing cleaning and organization checklist is completed
- Coordinate and participate in periodic all-staff cleanings and staff meetings
- Maintain proper cash-handling procedure at all times
- Ensure all guests are greeted as they arrive and wished farewell on upon their departure

- Remain familiar with industry compliance and regulatory requirements as applicable to retail operations (such as: Medical versus Recreational, weight conversions, minimum age purchasing laws, etc.)
- Knowledgeable on all cannabis products carried by Urbn Leaf
- Knowledgeable on cannabinoids, terpenes, and methods of cannabis consumption as it relates to sales of cannabis products
- Reception of the guests, including profile creation or updates
- Ensure each guest receives your full attention during their transaction
- Keep all personal items off the sales floor at all times
- Ensure you are on time for each and every shift
- Ensure your uniform is clean and you have all tools at your station prepared for your shift
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned by any other Shift Lead, Manager or Superior
Qualifications:
- Must be able to input and access information in point of sales system

Position Summary:
The Stocking Associate (Budback) is responsible for ensuring shop shelves are always stocked with product. The Budback is responsible for retrieving product for the Budtenders and assisting Budtenders with all product needs and inquiries. The Budback is also responsible for helping the inventory team members on intake days to intake, barcode, and display new product.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring shelves are stocked at all times
Check go-back bins and re-shelf products that are placed in bins
Keep displayed products pulled to the front of their respected location to maintain a beautiful store appearance
Ensures shelves are presentable and organized at all times
Communicates to fellow Budbacks and inventory team members about any changes or new items on shelves
Collaborate with inventory team to restock sales room floor

Position Summary:
Responsible for day to day inventory management at the retail storefront. Ensure inventory counts and shipments are accurate. Assist Inventory Manager in verification and receveing product shipments. Assist Inventory Manager in organization of products within storage and on sales floor. Ensure products are received within California Track and Trace system (METRC) and POS system, and have appropriate labels before being transferred to sales floor.
**PLEASE NOTE: This position involves occasional overnight shifts between the hours of 9pm-5am. Interested applicants must be willing and able to work during these hours**
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for barcoding all new inventory in Point of Sale system
Auditing the physical inventory to ensure that the physical inventory aligns precisely with the virtual inventory numbers
Help with daily/weekly cycle counts and inventory evaluation and verification procedures
Provide timely notice to Inventory Manager if discrepancies are found, so that they may be fully investigated
Research inventory variances and adjustments
Work with Inventory Manager/Lead to maintain an accurate account of non-stock and unavailable inventory
Implementation of cannabis waste procedures and schedule
Create a calendar of all upcoming expired products
Maintain a list of all quarantined product
Qualifications:
Inventory experience in a retail environment
Strong math skills
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word
METRC or similar cannabis seed-to-sale tracking software experience (preferred)

Urbn Leaf, the new standard in cannabis dispensaries, is now searching for full-time and part-time Stocking Associates (Budbacks) to add to our team in Grover Beach!
Candidates must be available to work Thursday - Monday in order to be considered for this opportunity.

Position Summary
The Budback is responsible for ensuring shop shelves are always stocked with product. The Budback is responsible for retrieving product for the Budtenders and assisting Budtenders with all needs and product inquiries.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensures shelves are stocked at all times
· Requests stock when back stock is low
· Check go-back bins and re-shelf products that are placed in bins
· Keep displayed products pulled to the front of their respected location to maintain a beautiful store appearance
· Ensures shelves are presentable and organized at all times
· Communicates to fellow Budbacks any changes or new items on shelves
· Maintain list of the store’s low product floor stock for restocking at the end of shift
· Adds red stickers to backs of jars to alert Budtenders what jars are running low
· Restocks back stock on floor as well as shelf stock
· Checks merchandise (Merch) shelves and ensures they are stocked
· Organizes flower vault; maintains lists on stock up to date
· Organizes and maintains organization in COOP
· Reviews any items for quality control that do not have “this product has not been tested” stickers and barcodes
· Communicates to management when flower is low and asks for guidance on next flower to replace
· Communicates with inventory team and management on products that need to be ordered/guest requests
· Communicates with next Budback on duty of possible unfinished tasks
Qualifications
· Must be at least 21 years of age or older
· Previous stocking experience in a retail/hospitality setting or experience as a Barback
Skills and Attitudes
· Must be motivated with a can-do, team attitude
· Must be a self-starter
· Must have the ability to perform all job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

Urbn Leaf, the new standard in cannabis dispensaries, is looking for Budtenders to join our team at our retail location in Grover Beach, CA. If you're friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable about all things cannabis - we are looking for you!
Position Summary:
Our budtenders are responsible for assisting patients and guests in all aspects of the purchase, education of cannabis ,and may include the training of new budtending staff. The majority of time is spent ensuring the dispensary is well-kept and running properly and guests are serviced properly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure stations are ready to go at venue opening time
- Maintain fully stocked and clean stations at all times
- Assist with running side work, stocking, and cleaning during any and all downtime
- Ensure opening and closing cleaning and organization checklist is completed
- Coordinate and participate in periodic all-staff cleanings and staff meetings
- Maintain proper cash-handling procedure at all times
- Ensure all guests are greeted as they arrive and wished farewell on upon their departure
- Ensure all guests/patients receive excellent customer service
- Inform the Inventory Manager or MOD if any product inventory is running low
- Be knowledgeable of any and all special including in house daily deals and Weedmaps daily deals
- Participate in staff events, outings and promotional events
- As possible, read industry publications to keep up-to-date on trends (articles posted by management are required reading)
- Remain familiar with industry compliance and regulatory requirements as applicable to retail operations (such as: Medical versus Recreational, weight conversions, minimum age purchasing laws, etc.)
- Knowledgeable on all cannabis products carried by Urbn Leaf
- Knowledgeable on cannabinoids, terpenes, and methods of cannabis consumption as it relates to sales of cannabis products
- Reception of the guests, including profile creation or updates
- Ensure each guest receives your full attention during their transaction
- Keep all personal items off the sales floor at all times
- Ensure you are on time for each and every shift
- Ensure your uniform is clean and you have all tools at your station prepared for your shift
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned by any other Shift Lead, Manager or Superior
Qualifications:
- Must be able to input and access information in point of sales system
- Must be able to follow all company cash handling policies and maintain an accurate cash drawer at all times
- Must be able to provide legible communication
- Must be comfortable learning new skills
- Must have reliable transportation and be punctual for all shifts, meetings and outings
- Must be able to meet and uphold all of Urbn Leaf's standards
- Preferred (not required) work experience as bartender, wait staff, catering, or other hospitality-industry position
- Preferred (not required) one or more years of budtending experience
- Preferred (not required) cannabis industry background or extensive knowledge of the cannabis industry
