Job Description
The Microbiology Lab Technician prepares and analyzes cannabis, hemp, CBD, and other samples using scientific and standard methodology in compliance with Green Scientific Labs policies and procedures.
Microbiology Lab Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Preparing client samples by homogenizing, aliquoting, weighing, extractions, dilutions, QC spiking, labeling, transporting, and logging sample information and results into LIMS.
- Carrying out sample preparation techniques including, but not limited to, solid-liquid and liquid-liquid extraction, centrifugation, and filtration
- Performs routine microbiological lab tasks, including but not limited to:
- Homogenizing, weighing, incubating and preparing samples for microbiological analysis using qPCR or traditional methods.
- Preparing reagents for sample analysis
- Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
- Operate and monitor instrumentation (qPCR, liquid handlers, etc.)
- Perform assays such as foreign material inspection, water activity and moisture content assays.
- Complete all environmental monitoring recordings equipment and facility
- Checking batch records daily and reviewing any flags for samples/data that fall outside of accepted criteria
- Performing daily tasks including calibration verification of lab equipment, completing logs, etc.
- Responsible for general housekeeping (cleaning and organizing) in their work area, and basic equipment maintenance
- Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Green Scientific Labs’ standards and procedures following GLPs in all areas of responsibility

Job Purpose:
The Field Sampler is responsible for conducting routine pickups and processing of regulatory compliance samples for laboratory analysis. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite field sampling pickups in accordance with all laws and regulations related to the legal cannabis market and laboratory operating procedures.
- Collect and forward weekly inventory requests to the laboratory team.
- Collect payment from clients.
- Interface effectively between customers and the laboratory team.
- Contact clients in conjunction with the Client Service Rep(s) to determine if their sampling needs to create a sampling plan (e.g., number of batches, requested analyses, sample information)
- Input orders with required sample information into METRC and the lab’s LIMS system as required.

You will be placing and taking calls with current and potential patients.
Communication skills and an excellent phone presence are a must. Previous phone sales experience is strongly suggested. The objective will be to retain current patients and handle customer service calls, as well as sell our services to callers interested in obtaining their medical cannabis certifications. We are a digital company and candidates must have a basic knowledge of technology.
Patient liaison duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Completing outbound and inbound calls to and from patients or potential patients with questions regarding obtaining or renewing a medical marijuana recommendation
- Scheduling and/or rescheduling appointments and processing payments
- Utilizing the CRM system and EMR patient platform efficiently with minimal errors
- Providing the best customer service possible to all of our patients
- Providing patients with information regarding our processes, procedures, and pricing
- Utilizing sales tools provided to sell our services and optimize the amount of money collected
- Demonstrating critical thinking when appropriate
- Communicating effectively
- Frequently checking MD Marijuana Card Express emails and responding in a timely manner
Patient liaisons must:
- Be familiar with state laws in regards to medical marijuana recommendations and use provided during training
- Have a computer (laptop preferred), computer skills, mobile phone, and internet access
Preferred (but not required) credentials and/or experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Sales experience, phone sales experience is a plus

We are looking for a part time employee that will turn full time, grow with the company and become a director of many offices.
The hourly rate will start at $15-$20 per hour plus bonuses (after one month of employment) and will increase based on performance.

Job Purpose:
The Field Sampler is responsible for conducting routine pickups and processing of regulatory compliance samples for laboratory analysis. Because it isn't waste until we waste it.
We are looking for a farm hand whose duties will include:
* Taking care of the earthworms (feeding, watering, measuring population densities, recording temperature and moisture readings and more)
* Creating compost by operating a brand new Kubota tractor (combining food scraps in the correct ratio with a carbon source, building static piles or windrows, monitoring temperatures of piles, flipping piles on a rotational basis, sifting finished compost, etc).
* Other jobs as needed (could include fixing irrigation, construction, tending to experiments, creating compost tea, etc).
Ideal candidate will have experience operating a front end loader, creating compost (or understanding fundamentals), and prior experience working on a farm. Knowledge/experience working with earthworms is a plus! Previous commercial driving experience and CDL license is also a bonus.
Currently we are looking to start someone out PT at 10-15 hours/week but we expect the hours to increase to 30-40 hours/week in the coming weeks or months.

- Check and review laboratory quality data and inputs data into tracking systems and appropriate logbooks.

The Role
Join our RISE team in Carson City as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, your main responsibility will be to assist patients in selecting appropriate medical cannabis products for their needs and are the product expert on duty at the store. Patient Care Specialists engage in one-on-one interaction with patients from the time they walk into the retail area until they check out and exit the store. Compliance with applicable rules and regulations as implemented by the state and GTI, RISE's parent company, is required.

Responsibilities
- Help customers in the retail location in accordance with RISE's mission, vision, goals, and objectives
- Follow established policies for sales and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the store
- Help customers make the right choices by knowing how different methods of cannabis consumption affect our patients differently and suggesting dosage starting points and upward titration for inexperienced patients
- Complete any work assigned during scheduled shift including:
- Correct cash handling and discount application
- Verification of proper paperwork, documentation and ID for patients
- Accurate use and maintenance of the Point Of Sale (POS) system; Accurate and timely data entry of patient profiles in both the POS system and the state's electronic verification system
- Maintenance of hard copy files (when required)
- Assistance in verifying order deliveries for accuracy
- Security measures and safety compliance
- Maintenance of an organized and clean store
- Management of visitor log
- Maintenance of open communication with the management team and other coworkers
- Reporting of employee issues or patient situations
- Provide any necessary support to the management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, including: daily activities, maintenance, and patient information for any reported issues and/or complaints
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Recent and relevant hospitality and/or retail experience required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of RISE Carson City and GTI
- Ability to learn and understand cannabinoids and the natural function of the endocannabinoid system in the human body
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email
- Ability to work effectively with employees, management, patients, governmental agencies, community members and the general public
- Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures
Additional Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
