The ideal candidate will work in the field and spend time with our livestock. Farm Workers, who play a vital role in maintaining our crops and raising our livestock, will be required to perform tasks such as planting and harvesting our crops, pulling weeds and moving livestock from one section of land to another.

Position:
Experienced, enthusiastic cannabis grower with experience and references.
We are a small micro Tier II facility in Corbett, Oregon. We are in the midst of plans to increase canopy size from 1,250 sf to 5,000. You will be expected to help consult on the expansion and work with interface with contractor as needed. Must have valid OLCC marijuana handlers permit and ability to pass background check.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Capable of performing all tasks in the grow cycle, including transplanting, feeding, cloning, cropping, waste and inventory management.
- Hires, trains, and leads a cultivation team as we grow.
- Sets cultivation goals for facility.
- Creates harvest plans 3-5 months in advance.
- Develops grow space utilization plans to maximize growing efficiency.
- Ensures SOPs are established, approved, and followed in daily processes and that all cultivation related standard operating procedures are followed, including inventory management, security and cleanliness SOPs.
- Creates pesticide/fungicide spray schedules using scouting data from lower level employee reports and/or direct observation on a weekly basis.
- Ensures the accuracy of METRC during monthly audits.
- Routine daily activities required to ensure plant maintenance and general operation of the cultivation areas.
- Routine daily activities required to ensure clones and propagation are sufficient to ensure adequate crop production.
- Measure and report performance metrics and criteria with respect to cloning, planting, and other activities using Excel or other professional software.
- Preparing monthly performance reports to quantify performance metrics at each facility.
- Establishes and implements plans for establishing a perpetual harvest, using a digital scheduling tool.
- Identifies and secures new tools, equipment and items needed to implement new techniques and processes as needed.
- Drives improvement in planting techniques and yields.
- Sets budget for cultivation operations at the cultivation facility.
- Provide insight and communicate on safety related matters to ensure the facility is operating up to required Colorado regulations and SOPs.
- Coordinates with trimming crew manager for effective, timely harvest planning and execution.
- Ensures all products are safe and effective for customers. Enforce proper product work- in-process tracking, movement, and product security for harvested flower in coordination with trim team management.
- Provide insight and communicate on Facility & Maintenance related matters to ensure the facility is operating for uninterrupted production and efficiency improvements. Identify, lead, and develop talent to maximize individual, team, and organizational effectiveness to meet company goals
Qualifications
- A strong managerial background in Cannabis Cultivation.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in Cannabis Cultivation
- A minimum of 3 years experience leading/supervising a team, and implementing schedules on a digital platform that can be monitored by other members of the company.
- Knowledge of plants, diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment options
- Strong leadership experience
- Operations management mindset and approach in leading a cultivation facility in midst of renovation
- Strong attention to detail.
- Inherently sound human resource values and problem resolution skills
- Possess the financial acumen to manage, measure, and improve the operations effectiveness and profitability.
- Strong communication skills to every level of the organization.
- Ability to develop structure and process while operating in a continued emerging environment.
- Strong project management skills and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to obtain pesticides, applicator license is required
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Perform manual labor tasks requirement for the management of the greenhouse.
- Willingness to work 10-12 hour days when needed.
