Our Orange, CA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Analyst to join our Wet Chemistry Department.
As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Analyze water and soil samples for alkalinity, conductivity (EC), pH, settlable solids, total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), and turbidity.
- Analyze water and soil samples for Oil & grease, Oil & Grease with silica cleanup, cyanide, sulfides, BTU, corrosivity, Ferrous iron, Flash point, Ignitability, MBAS, Phenols, Ortho and total phosphates, Reactive Cyanide, Reactive Sulfide, Salinity.
- Analyze water and soil samples for Ammonia, BOD, COD, Hexavalent Chromium, and TOCWB
- Cleaning of laboratory glassware
- Maintaining clean laboratory areas
- Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
- Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses

ACT Laboratories is currently a seeking a full-time Laboratory Analyst/Chemist for our Toledo, OH laboratory.
The position will be scheduled primarily Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm with occassional weekend work required.
Under technical supervision, Laboratory Analysts/Chemists perform laboratory procedures requiring technical skills and independent judgment in chemistry and microbiology.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform laboratory tests to provide data for use in ensuring patients receive the proper and most pure medication
- Participate in general laboratory techniques such as preparing chemicals and preparing samples for testing
- Make interpretation of data from microbiological plates
- Make microscopic examinations of samples
- Perform review of data entered into Laboratory Information Management System
- Other duties as may be assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or Biology preferred
- Laboratory experience preferred

Knowledge of elementary principles of microbiology and chemistry
- Knowledge of basic clinical laboratory skills
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment

The Lab Analyst / Chemist will be responsible for performing instrument maintenance, sample analysis and data review to ensure timely and accurate data is released to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory analysis of cannabis products, and recording of laboratory test data and results into the company database
- Perform data review on client and QC samples using validated analytical methods.
- Ensure maximum output of the laboratory by improving and optimizing laboratory processes and operations
- Perform regular instrument maintenance, including but not limited to running calibration curves, cleaning instrument parts and general instrument troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize projects efficiently
- Maintain a safe, clean, well-organized, and efficient laboratory work environment.
- Remain up-to-date on all SOPs and maintain documentation required for compliance.
- Assist in maintaining the laboratory for ISO/NELAC accreditation standards and future audits.
- Ensure adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university and at least 2 years of lab experience.
- Exceptional wet laboratory technique and ability to perform documentation for ISO/NELAC standards
- Candidates with LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, GC-FID, HPLC, or ICP-MS instrumentation and software experience will be given preference.
- Familiarity with data entry and database management (Library Information Management System).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
