General Responsibilities
The Weights and Measures Technician plays an important role in the daily functions of the lab, as they are the receiving point of contact for clients dropping off samples. The Weights & Measures Technician is responsible for paying close attention to detail in each step of their process to guarantee the accuracy of their work. Contributes to the intake process of laboratory samples by properly measuring the weight of samples, preparing the correct portions of sample for each analytical test; and maintaining good record keeping.
- Record and track accurate weights and measurements of samples using the regulatory processing procedures and implemented protocols.
- Maintains a clean, safe environment inside the processing area
- Good laboratory practices and using proper PPE
- Homogenizes samples
- Operates and cleans balances
- Participate in disposal process throughout the week
- Validate Balances and Tools
- Maintains quality control measures to ensure correct measurements.
- Ensures accurate weighing. Complete duties assigned by the Lead Weights and Measures Specialist.
- Assists in the proper disposal of sample
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
- Sample inspection and handling
- Keeping all information confidential
Education
- College degree encouraged. No previous experience necessary.

The role is responsible for paying close attention to detail in each step of their process to guarantee the accuracy of their work. Contributes inventory control system process of laboratory samples by properly measuring the weight of unused sample, properly calculating differences, and maintaining good record keeping.

General Responsibilities
The Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in testing, as they are responsible for following protocol to prepare, test, and analyze samples in the laboratory. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for paying very close attention to detail in each step of their process to guarantee the accuracy of their work. The laboratory technicians must be in compliance with written policies and procedures. Learns new methods and applies their skills in a professional laboratory setting, working hands-on with samples, generating analytical results, and keeping record of results through consistent data entry.
- Preparation of sample materials for processing in accordance with state and local standards.
- Sample analytical testing
- Monitors and maintains intake specimen inventory ensuring data is entered and accurate.
- Assists in maintaining the laboratory for ISO accreditation standards, GLP and future audits
- Maintains clean and safe work environment
- Inspect, and release all materials going out for retest.
- Ensure samples are prepared and processed using appropriate methods, using good laboratory practices, and clean tools and PPE.
- Performs chemical analysis or microbiological testing, or other work, under direction of Technical Laboratory Director.
- Input data into LIMS
- Data Entry, Standards and CCV preparation and prepares instrument sequences for sample run.
- Follow Safety and Quality Assurance Protocols.
- Learns and implements any changes to policies and procedures as they apply to day to day activities.
- Operating, maintaining, adjusting instruments and equipment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field. Previous chemical or biological laboratory experience preferred.
Skills

Welcome to Delta Verde Laboratory!
Arizona's first ISO Certified Cannabis Testing Laboratory and one of the first State Licensed Cannabis Lab Facilities as well. With November around the corner, new regulations are being implemented that will in turn kick up our volume immensely. We are looking for a full time front desk receptionist that will handle the following:
- High Volume Sample Intake/Pickup Order Preparation & Processing
- High Volume Data Entry
- Inventory Audit
- Disposal Audits
We are looking for the person who is highly motivated, works great with our team and someone dedicated to adding value to our lab in anyway you can day in and day out. Confident computer skills are required and will be used everyday. Needs to be proficient in programs such as; Excel, Word, Google Drive and Confident Cannabis.
