The Extraction Lab Technician plays a crucial role in our production of high-quality cannabis extract products and will report directly to the Extraction Lab Leadership Team. The Role

Lehua Brands employs extraction technicians whose primary job responsibility is to produce and refine cannabis oil/extract through various extraction techniques and processes. Extraction technicians are expected to have a firm understanding of the chemical principles that are being applied during processing. Extraction technicians are also expected to record essential processing information during production and report the information electronically on each batch that is processed. Making hands on decisions as an Extraction Technician will surround the following principles: Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform various production procedures.
· Oil extraction, collection and refining
· Record and report various production measurements onto physical batch records, and transfer measurements into electronic logs and tracking software.

The Extraction Lab Technician plays a crucial role in our production of high-quality cannabis extract products and will report directly to the Extraction Lab Leadership Team. To be successful in this position the ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and highly mindful of compliance with all company, industry, and safety processes and regulations. This is a labor-intensive position and will require working on your feet for the entire shift with frequent lifting of equipment & materials weighing 60+ pounds. Afternoon Shift: Tuesday through Friday 2 pm -12 am
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Daily set up of equipment to company standards and protocols.
- Verify pack-list vs run sheets for extraction.
- Understand and assist in all areas of company standard operating procedures of extraction.
- Cleaning and maintaining extraction equipment including Pyrex, columns, freezers, and ovens.

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Preparation of samples for analysis
- Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
- Sample extractions
- Determining the volume of samples
- Cleaning of laboratory glassware
- Maintaining clean laboratory areas

Job Purpose:
The Lab Technician is responsible for working closely with our laboratory team to develop analytical skills and related experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute laboratory protocol and procedures under the supervision of the Lab Director.
- Regularly display good laboratory technique to avoid cross-contamination or misidentified samples.
- Perform sample preparation procedures including homogenization, weighing and liquid extraction.
- Perform QC duties as assigned, including LCS and matrix spikes.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative tests, as assigned.
- Utilize the LIMS system to create batches, enter sample prep information and maintain physical and electronic records.
- Adhere to ISO 17025 standards as well as state regulatory requirements.
- Promote a strong customer service culture while adhering to the highest safety and industry standards.
- Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Cannabis Extraction Lab Technician
JOB OVERVIEW: The Extraction Lab Technician supports the preparation and execution of the extraction process. This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, efficacy, and efficiency of the manufacturing processes.
The Extraction LabTechnician will strictly follow the company’s standard operating procedures and quality control measures to maintain production of high-quality products. The position is responsible for carrying out day-to-day tasks including prepping, measuring, extracting, refining, and packaging of cannabis products.
The Extraction Technician must monitor and maintain the laboratory environment in accordance with company needs and state regulations.
REPORTS TO: Head of Extraction
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Properly handle pre-extraction plant matter with care and attention. * Perform extractions following standard operating procedures. * Provide vital systematic cleaning and sanitization of the extraction laboratory. * Understand and comply to procedures, methodologies, and compliance steps for tracking cannabis product from seed to sale. * Accurately calibrate scales and balances to ensure proper measurement of products. * Ensure consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing, standard operating procedures and proper documentation. * Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net and other personal protective equipment, etc. * Sanitize all production equipment and tools including workspace, utensils, containers, and machinery. * Assist Head of Extraction with the creation of batch production records and labels in accordance with state regulations. * Assist Head of Extraction with the weighing, packaging, labeling, and documentation of all products, as well as the tracking of batch numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates. * Ensure the above information is accurate, appropriately documented and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures. * Additional job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS: * Must have knowledge of or in the process of learning about cannabis processing and extraction. * Must have understanding of functions relating to an extraction laboratory. * Familiar with industry terminology and scientific techniques of a commercial cannabis lab. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. * High level of integrity and a strong work ethic. * Strong interpersonal skills; team player. * Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment. * Must be 21+, with a valid State ID
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Required: High School Diploma, Bachelor of Science (Preferred)
Work Experience: 2 to 3 years working in a team environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, employee handbook and other company documents.

An Extraction Lab Technician?
- A good question. Thank you for asking. What that means that you’ll be responsible for the preparation and execution of the extraction process on material delivered to the lab. Technicians will assist one another in the formulation and production of medical cannabis products while following policies and procedures outlined in SOP’s.
How We Roll:
Our Extraction Lab Technician has a very special place in the Show-Me state. We’re looking for someone who has the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Be willing to learn, operate, and maintain all extraction equipment and machines.
- Perform job duties and responsibilities at laboratory standards.
- Keep the workspace clean and maintain sanitation protocols.
- Complete production records, logs, and necessary paperwork/data collection.
- Perform all assigned equipment maintenance/cleaning.
- Dispose of nonhazardous/hazardous waste in the appropriate manner.

Summary: The successful Processing Lab Technician (Terpene Extraction) candidate will be responsible to demold and prepare chews for packaging and clean, sanitize, and maintain all tools, equipment, and work surfaces used to produce chews.

An Extraction Lab Technician?
- A good question. Thank you for asking. What that means that you’ll be responsible for the preparation and execution of the extraction process on material delivered to the lab. Technicians will assist one another in the formulation and production of medical cannabis products while following policies and procedures outlined in SOP’s.
How We Roll:
Our Extraction Lab Technician has a very special place in the Show-Me state. We’re looking for someone who has the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Be willing to learn, operate, and maintain all extraction equipment and machines.
- Perform job duties and responsibilities at laboratory standards.
- Keep the workspace clean and maintain sanitation protocols.
- Complete production records, logs, and necessary paperwork/data collection.

The Extraction Lab Technician plays a crucial role in our production of high-quality cannabis extract products and will report directly to the Extraction Lab Leadership Team. An Extraction Lab Technician?
- A good question. Thank you for asking. What that means that you’ll be responsible for the preparation and execution of the extraction process on material delivered to the lab. Technicians will assist one another in the formulation and production of medical cannabis products while following policies and procedures outlined in SOP’s.

Our Extraction Lab Technician has a very special place in the Show-Me state. We’re looking for someone who has the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Be willing to learn, operate, and maintain all extraction equipment and machines.
- Perform job duties and responsibilities at laboratory standards.
- Keep the workspace clean and maintain sanitation protocols.

- Preparation of samples for analysis

Full Job Description
The Lab Technician will operate the extraction and post processing equipment daily, requiring strict adherence to all safety and compliance procedures, including GMP, state and local laws and safety standards. The Technician performs the daily operation and maintenance for extraction systems from the receipt and preparation of biomass material through the post extraction processes. They will be responsible for the safe day to day operation of the extraction process with a focus on following procedures, monitoring KPIs and continually improving the overall efficiency of the process.
Responsibilities:
Must follow all applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines. This includes the safe and proper operation of any/all applicable machinery, instrumentation, and equipment.
Set up and prepare lab equipment.
Receive and inventory new lab supplies as needed.
Conduct processes including but not limited to: Material Prep, Extraction, Solvent Recovery, and Distillation.
Strictly adhere to processing SOPs to ensure proper operations & cleanouts between lots/batches.
Ensure successful operation of all equipment by: Following operation SOPs, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, and reporting damaged equipment to direct superior.
Daily operational and safety checks within the extraction and solvent recovery areas
Work as part of a team to meet production schedules.
Record data manually and communicate data with direct superior.
Good communication skills, verbal and written, with co-workers and management.
Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the facility with focus and personal contributions towards a clean and organized assigned work area at the end of the assigned shift.

ROLE:
We are looking for a hard-working individual to help run our advanced hydrocarbon extraction system. Individuals will be expected to safely and effectively extract raw cannabis material to produce cannabis concentrates (e.g., shatter, sugar wax, etc.) for legal medical and recreational consumption.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Performing individual duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all governmental regulations for this industry.
- Carrying out all extraction processing in an efficient manner that also complies with OSHA regulations and SOP’s and all applicable laboratory procedures.
- Performing in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure all product meets or exceed AMMA’s specifications and patients’ expectations. Such quality assurance work shall include but not be limited to:
- Recording and monitoring process conditions to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures.
- Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking throughout AMMA’s process
- Continually strive to improve AMMA’s processes for improved patient safety, quality, and efficient manufacturing
- Support new product and process development work with our Team.
- Monitoring and managing lab and processing equipment supplies, inventory, and cleanliness.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D minimum.
Age: State law requires that applicants be 21 years old and over and be issued an agent card to work for a cultivation center.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least one to three years of applicable medical cannabis or related extraction, formulating, and packaging experience with a focus on ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality. Experience with closed loop BHO (butane, propane, mix gas) systems and ethanol extraction preferred, including large scale production sugar wax, crumble, and shatter.
Physical Requirements: Include standing, bending, and lifting to 50 pounds by themselves and 75+ pounds with a buddy, carrying product totes, pushing carts, moving, and adjusting process equipment.

At the direction of the laboratory managers or other lab staff, the Laboratory Extraction Technician 1 is responsible for performing efficient set up / tear down, manufacture and cleaning of all equipment and processes associated with manufacturing operations with general supervision or partnership with other lab technicians. The Laboratory Technician 1 is responsible for adhering to policies and procedures with an emphasis on regulatory related processes such as SOPs and safety to meet the business needs of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for carrying out duties involving extraction of crude oil. This includes operating and maintaining equipment for grinding, hydrocarbon and supercritical CO2 extraction.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean lab, including infrastructure and equipment.
- Assisting extraction team with preparation of materials for the day’s extractions as well as helping to tear down, turn around, and set back up extraction equipment as needed.

Position Overview
This position supports the preparation and execution of the extraction process, and works with the Laboratory Director in development of new products.
The Lead Technician is responsible for assisting with production or development based on current business needs. The Lead Technician will strictly follow the company’s standard operating procedures and quality control measures to maintain production of high-quality products. The position is responsible for carrying out day-to-day tasks including assisting with extracting, refining, and packaging of cannabis products.

- Assist with extraction and packaging as needed, provide post extraction processing services on a daily basis including ethanol and filtration media to create a cleaner, more potent product.

- Track all finished thc oils/distillate and document usage in internal tracking sheets and Metrc.
- Provide cleaning and sanitization of the extraction laboratory and glassware.
- Understand and comply to procedures, methodologies, and compliance steps for tracking cannabis product in Metrc as directed.
- Ensure proper personal protective equipment before performing any production activities by using approved safety clothing and procedures.

Job Duties:

POSITION SUMMARY:

SUMMARY
The Lab Technician is required to have the ability to apply a strong technical and scientific foundation to delivery high quality scientific results in a laboratory environment in a safe and effective manner. The Lab Technician will be responsible for navigating day-to-day lab operations as directed by the Extraction Lab Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Prepare material for extraction
- Perform cannabinoid extraction using supercritical CO2 and/or solvent-less methods by following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Complete day-to-day post-processing operations
- Assist in the formulation of infused products
- Perform basic calculations and assess mathematical based data
- Record and maintain logs in accordance to Florida state laws and regulations.
- Cleansing glassware and other general laboratory duties
- Must have the ability to both perform tedious tasks and multi-task
- Required to alternate day and night shifts to accommodate cross-training in both methods of extraction
- Flexibility in scheduling is required

Education & Other Requirements
- Bachelors or Associates degree in relevant field
- Laboratory experience required; cannabis extraction preferred
- Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as state-mandated tracking system (with training provided)

Extraction Laboratory Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Production Manager in all aspects of extraction, purging, oil manipulation, winterization and distillation processes.
- Perform duties necessary for continuous extraction operations.
- Prepare equipment and plant materials for extraction.

- Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment.
- Follow Company standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce high quality concentrates.

The C1D2 Technician I position is responsible for the Cannabis material intake, waste disposal, material preparation for extraction, sampling, documentation, and general within the C1D2 processing area. Job Summary
Boulder employs extraction technicians whose primary job responsibility is to produce and refine crude cannabis oil/extract through various extraction techniques and processes. Extraction technicians are expected to have a firm understanding of the chemical principles that are being applied during processing. Extraction technicians are also expected to record essential processing information during production, and report the information electronically on each batch that is processed. Making hands on decisions as an Extraction Technician will surround the following principles: Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
Responsibilities and Duties

Perform various production procedures.
- Crude oil extraction, collection and refining
- Participate in and pass the Extraction Technician Training Program.
- Record and report various production measurements onto physical batch records, and transfer measurements into electronic logs and tracking software.
- Record and report any production, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration operations performed in equipment logbooks.
- Report any variation or deviation from expected values for process times, yields, and any other defined product characteristics throughout the production process to management.
- Assist in proposing changes to documentation or production processes to improve safety (from a consumer and laboratory staff viewpoint), improve product quality and production efficiencies, and to reduce delivery time and product failures.
- Assist in the disposal of all waste materials.
Qualifications and Skills
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Ideally has at least 1 year of experience in a professional cannabis extraction production environment.
- Has precursory knowledge in the operation of cannabis extraction equipment.
- Has basic knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the oil processing industry
- Has experience following instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform critical job functions.
- Is mechanically inclined; able to find and diagnose mechanical issues with industrial equipment
- Maintains a positive "can do" attitude in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Able to adjust to change quickly
- Able to contribute positively to conversations about process improvement
- Demonstrates basic attention to detail
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills
- Has the ability to work with other team members as well as by oneself
- Ability to read and interpret written and oral instructions

CannaAna is looking for a passionate and professional individual to fill the role of Solventless Extraction Lab Technician. We are looking for an individual who will be working with a variety of Laboratory/Manufacturing tasks. This individual must be able to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
The Solventless Extraction Lab Technician will carry out laboratory manufacturing; intake raw material; enter and track material quantities; create batch records for a variety of processes, troubleshoot and resolve problems; maintain logs and record books; enter and maintain data tracking systems; maintain a clean and organized manufacturing lab.
Successful candidate will be able to work in a very fast-paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and able to operate both independently and within a team environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of equipment and plant materials for extraction
- Execution of extraction and processing
- Monitor laboratory systems while they are operating, keeping a careful eye on any possible hazards or sources of error/inefficiencies
- Ensure consistency and efficiency of product through quality control testing and procedures
- Cleaning and maintenance of extraction equipment and manufacturing facility
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals, and equipment used in the facility
- Storing supplies and equipment and disposal of waste according to guidelines
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Following all standard operating procedures regarding product creation and lab safety
- Assist in packaging and labeling of finished products
- Works with testing laboratory as defined by state guidelines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of state and local laws
- Understanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materials
- Familiarity with mechanical separations, ice water extraction, dry sift, rosin pressing, bubble bags
- Knowledge of solventless extraction methods
- Stay current on practices and new developments in the cannabis extraction industry
- Ability to work quickly without compromising accuracy
- Ability to discern the quality of plant material and finished products
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:
- 1 year of experience in an extraction lab (preferred)
