Duties and Responsibilities
General Customer Service
Checks customer/patient ID’s
Conducts transactions at the register
Fronts and faces product on shelves
Stocks products on shelves, which requires bending the body downward at the waist, ascending and descending a step stool, and lifting boxes up to forty pounds
Remains upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time, up to 88% of the working day
Moves about on foot to accomplish tasks to meet customer/patient needs
Helps keep the store clean and tidy, including sweeping and mopping
Provides customer education about products and uses
Works with leadership to understand company goals and procedures

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

The Shift Lead will assist in monitoring employee actions, assist handling customer service issues/concerns, complete attendant duties as necessary and act as the Manager-On-Duty in absence of the General Manager and Manager, including opening/closing their assigned location.
Essential Functions:
Assist in Supervision of Attendants:
- Foster teamwork, including motivating team members
- Provide continuous coaching and training when applicable
- Act as MOD on duty when the Store Director and Assistant Manager are not on site
- Monitor task(s) completion of Budtenders
- Communicate to Store Director and Assistant Manager of any concerns or issues regarding staff immediately
- Assist in carrying out management directives
- Lead by setting a positive example
- Assist in training directives, including upselling and new hires when necessary
- Responsible for managing breaks for the hourly team members
- Communicates to team members any changes directives as assigned by Store Director and Assistant Manager
Focus on Customer Service:
- Be a strong host personality on the floor and provide attendants with strategies to improve their guest interactions
- Process returns in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain a strong product knowledge
Administration:
- Verify cash counts at the beginning and end of each shift
- Provide accurate change to attendants when needed
- Verify drawer counts, follows all cash handling procedures
- Follows and accurately completes opening and closing checklists when opening or closing location
- Maintain approved merchandising standards and display presentations, match the ordering buttons on tablet.
Compliance and Safety:
- Responsible for abiding by Star Buds Safety Program
- Understand and Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the cannabis industry
- Adhere to all company SOPs in regarding operational procedures
- Perform Budtending duties to assist when necessary, must maintain working knowledge
- Other duties as assigned.

Budtenders are the face of the Retail Marijuana Industry that represent the mission and the goals of Terrapin Care Station while providing superior customer service and maintaining a level of product knowledge to meet the needs of the patron, while providing an education on the safe consumption of available products. They are also responsible for knowing the laws that govern a legal sale of marijuana in either a medical or retail setting to ensure that the business is operating within the confines of compliance. They are the last people in the seed-to-sale chain of production who have the task of delivering products while giving the customer the best experience Terrapin Care Station can provide.
Duties and Responsibilities
General Customer Service
Checks customer/patient ID’s
Conducts transactions at the register
Fronts and faces product on shelves
Stocks products on shelves, which requires bending the body downward at the waist, ascending and descending a step stool, and lifting boxes up to forty pounds
Remains upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time, up to 88% of the working day
Moves about on foot to accomplish tasks to meet customer/patient needs
Helps keep the store clean and tidy, including sweeping and mopping

Summary

ROLE SUMMARY

Primary Responsibilities

- Formulating various products (tinctures, topicals, etc.) based on current SOPs
- Operating vacuum distillation equipment for CBD distillate production
- Must be able to communicate effectively

While we prefer candidates to have some experience with extraction techniques and processes, it's not required. Above all, we value candidates who are reliable, hard-working and teachable. We want candidates who will follow SOPs and GMP/ISO guidelines, and can work safely and effectively in a clean-room environment.
Starting pay is between $18 and $19 per hour depending on experience. Health benefits also available.
