What you will do
We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Laboratory Technician - Extraction Focused to join our growing dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto! The Laboratory Technician - Extraction Focused will assist manufacturing team in the production of cannabis based medicines.. This position reports directly to the Laboratory Manager.
Highlighted Responsibilities
Perform stripping, grinding, decarboxylation of cannabis materials.
Perform CO2 extraction of cannabis materials.
Perform de-waxing and concentrations of cannabis extracts.
Perform dry sift and solventless extraction processes.
Keep organized record of all procedures and results.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Able to work independently as well as operating as a team.
Keeps a detailed laboratory log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant results.
Performs weekly safety-checks of fire-extinguishing equipment, eyewash stations and shower stations. Attends safety meetings as required.
Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand.
Able to setup, maintain and repair equipment.
Keep an inventory of production materials to ensure supply chain stability.
Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency.

3+ years of experience in chemical processing and equipment use.

- Assists the Manager in organizing daily activities of the Lab Techs in the Edibles Department.
- Assists the Manager in setting up and organizing daily activities for the optimal performance of the Edibles Department
- Reports to the Manager on all activities within the department to review potential improvements or adjustments to operational / growth plans.
