The Herbal Center, a licensed Denver cannabis business, is interviewing qualified candidates to join our Retail Management team.
A Retail Lead manages the daily operations of the dispensary, including store opening/closing, floor staff training & oversight, regulatory compliance, cash handling, and sales. Primary duties of this role include ensuring dispensary operations support sales and marketing goals while maintaining inventory within a secure, fully compliant facility.
The Retail Lead also works directly with the Operations Manager/ Directors/ Owners and or General Managers to execute operational and sales objectives, maximize revenue goals, and ensure sound retail processes.
MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior retail lead experience (2 years)
- Previous management experience leading large teams (2 years)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent in professional and life experience
- Experience working in the medical cannabis industry highly desirable
- Experience working in the health & wellness industry highly desirable
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S.
- Must be 21 years old.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must stand constantly; walk frequently; reach and twist/turn with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

The Herbal Center is an experienced and advanced Tier 2 Cannabis Cultivation facility in Denver, CO. We have an opening for a hands on Cultivation Technician. As a Cultivation Technician, you will be a member of a team who are responsible for the health and integrity of our plants, record keeping and compliance. Technicians also carry out the day-to-day assignments and tasks of the Cannabis production cycle. The Herbal Center operates under the highest standards of professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with Director of Cultivation to plan for growing activities that are consistent with planned production schedules.
- Prepares space required for planned production.
- Cloning: cutting, rooting and transplanting; clone care, watering and feeding; clone monitoring and climate control; labeling; and inventory data input into state mandated electronic tracking system.
- Monitors growing conditions and reviews changes in humidity, moisture and temperature and cultivation procedures to ensure conformance with quality control standards.
- Inspects crop to ascertain conditions such as leaf texture, bloom size and the existence of pests or disease; removing substandard or diseased plants to maintain quality standards.
- Plant monitoring and care during vegetative and flowering phase: trimming and staking; big leafing and pruning; plant care, watering and feeding; plant monitoring and climate control; pest and disease control; inventory data input.
- Harvesting: cutting plants; trimming cut plants; removing flowering tops; weighing and inventory data input into the electronic inventory tracking system.
- Curing: hanging and dry-racking flowers; monitoring curing process and climate control; labeling; weighing and inventory data input.
- Preparation and packaging of all cannabis products will be needed during peak times; including extraction products.
- Operating and maintaining cultivation systems/equipment: monitoring, calibrating, running and maintaining lighting, irrigation, climate control and other cultivation systems; stocking and handling production inputs and supplies; sanitizing and cleaning growing areas, cultivation workspaces and tools.
- Ensure daily compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to; state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols.
- Any other tasks assigned by Management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities
- Perform extractions using CLS hydrocarbon (butane & propane) and solventless methodology, as directed.
- Perform post-processing and clean-up of extracts.
- Perform distillations for purification of extracts and production of vape cartridges.
- Assist in research, development and formulation of experiments.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on extraction instrumentation and other equipment.
- Perform basic calculations and assess mathematical-based data.
- Prepare, coordinate and document samples for third-party laboratory testing.
- Quality assurance/quality control.
- Maintain inventory using state-mandated tracking system; proper documentation of waste.
- Maintain organized documentation of data and batch production records.
- Perform any task as directed by the Director of Laboratory and Extraction Operations.
- Assist other departments as necessary.
Minimum Qualification and Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or equivalent cannabis-extraction experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in various extraction methods preferred.
- Fire safety and hazardous material safety knowledge.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.

As the Propagation and Veg Assistant Manager, you will be a member of a team who are responsible for the health and integrity of our plants, record keeping and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with Director of Cultivation to plan for growing activities that are consistent with planned production schedules.
- Prepares space required for planned production.
- Cloning: cutting, rooting and transplanting; clone care, watering and feeding; clone monitoring and climate control; labeling; and inventory data input into state mandated electronic tracking system.
- Monitors growing conditions and reviews changes in humidity, moisture and temperature and cultivation procedures to ensure conformance with quality control standards.
- Inspects crop to ascertain conditions such as leaf texture, bloom size and the existence of pests or disease; removing substandard or diseased plants to maintain quality standards.
- Plant monitoring and care during vegetative and flowering phase: trimming and staking; big leafing and pruning; plant care, watering and feeding; plant monitoring and climate control; pest and disease control; inventory data input.
- Operating and maintaining cultivation systems/equipment: monitoring, calibrating, running and maintaining lighting, irrigation, climate control and other cultivation systems; stocking and handling production inputs and supplies; sanitizing and cleaning growing areas, cultivation workspaces and tools.

The IPM Technician/ Cultivation Tech II works in conjunction with the Cultivation Manager overseeing all Integrated Pest Management activities. Eliminates and controls undesirable insects and animals with infrequent supervision. The applicator is versed in proper application methodology including calibration, application procedures and insect, arachnid and vertebrate identification.

The IPM Technician/ Cultivation Tech II works in conjunction with the Cultivation Manager overseeing all Integrated Pest Management activities. Eliminates and controls undesirable insects and animals with infrequent supervision. The applicator is versed in proper application methodology including calibration, application procedures and insect, arachnid and vertebrate identification.
Essential Functions
- Identifies insects, arthropods, vertebrates and other pests and create treatment plans based on physiology.
- Measures area dimensions requiring treatment; calculates chemical requirements to address specific pest issues.
- Operates, maintains and repairs equipment.
- Coordinates scheduling of work orders with the Cultivation Manager
- Stays current on practices and all local, state and federal codes and regulations related to IPM in agriculture.
- Ensures timely submission of all required records.
- Implements quality standards; conducts and documents follow-up inspections.
- Attends required training to maintain commercial applicators license for Pest category.
- Maintains effective written and oral communication with Cultivation Manager.
- Follows standard operating procedures for assigned tasks and projects; follows all safety protocol.

Work Environment
This job operates in an indoor commercial horticulture environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud, tight corners and work spaces. Extensive walking and equipment operation. Exposure to: pesticides, fertilizers and pollen producing environment. Work time expectation: 80% of the time will be physical labor, 5% training and misc.
Physical Demands

Some examples are: lifting to 50 lbs, some work with hands above head, bending over for an extended period, and working in tight, dusty, cold, hot, spaces, etc.

Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working with horticulture/agricultural, processes and principles is preferred.

A Retail Manager manages the daily operations of the dispensary, including staff training and management, regulatory compliance, cash handling, and sales. Primary duties of this role include ensuring dispensary operations support sales and marketing goals while maintaining inventory within a secure, fully compliant facility.
The Retail Manager also works directly with the Operations Manager/ Directors/ Owners and or General Managers to develop operational and sales objectives, maximize revenue goals, expand marketing, and ensure sound record keeping.
MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior retail management experience (2 years)
- Previous management experience leading large teams (2 years)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent in professional and life experience

We are currently seeking a “Bookkeeping/Payroll” resource with solid Quickbooks and cash handling experience who is located in Denver, CO. This is a part-time position, and candidates must be able to work on-site at one of our locations. The qualified individual may also be asked to provide some administrative support in addition to bookkeeping/ payroll duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reconcile Cash, AR & AP
- Enter receipts and invoices into QuickBooks
- File monthly sales tax for various sales tax accounts and make corresponding payments
- Work with ownership to create expense allocations that accurately reflect the organization’s activities
- Assist in financial audits
- Distribute, collect and prepare bi-weekly timesheets and payroll submission for approval
- Perform other jobs/projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years bookkeeping/accounting/payroll/ bank teller experience

We are seeking a Cannabis Extraction Technician (Hydrocarbon & Solventless Extraction) to join our team at our newly designed Extraction Facility in Denver, Colorado.
Job Summary
The Extraction Technician (Hydrocarbon & Solventless Extraction) is responsible for navigating day to day laboratory operations. This includes working with the Lab Manager or Head Extractor to prepare raw materials, perform the extraction process, clean up equipment and conduct general lab duties. This position will work closely with the Lab Manager and Extraction Engineer to ensure equipment is maintained regularly and raw materials meet the necessary specifications.
Responsibilities
- Creating hydrocarbon and solventless extracts just as hash and rosin
- Operate and maintain closed loop hydrocarbon solvent extraction using two Precision PX1's
- Assist with the front-end processing of raw materials, including weighing, grinding, cleaning and general lab work
- Prepare work space, equipment and materials daily
- Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware and equipment.
- Maintain high tech lab process equipment and ensure such machinery operates in a clean organized environment
- Adhere to and make improvement suggestions to company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Order necessary machine parts and upgrade equipment when necessary to ensure optimal performance
- Perform some administrative tasks, such as documenting all machine maintenance, making equipment orders, and improving or developing safety guidelines for equipment use
- Upholds and promotes a safety culture

Desired Skills and Qualifications
- A bachelors degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred
- Must have 1-3 years’ experience as an Extraction Lab Technician or in a related role within a lab setting
- Knowledgeable in altering the different forms of solvent/ solventless extracts
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines for workplace safety and hazardous chemicals
- Compliance and understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Processes (CGMP) guidelines
- Mechanical proficiency in understanding the operation of BHO,PHO, CO2, and VTA Distillate machines, includes having the ability to service pressure vessel hoses, fittings, and being able to use a wrench to remove fittings
- Excellent knowledge of equipment operations and repair procedures
- Proficient with the internet and basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to read and use schematics related to manufacturing equipment

We are seeking a Cannabis Extraction Technician to join our team and work alongside our Head Extractor at our Extraction Facility in Denver, Colorado.
Job Summary
The Extraction Technician is responsible for assisting the Head Extractor in navigating day to day laboratory operations. This includes working with the Lab Manager or Head Extractor to prepare raw materials, perform the extraction process, clean up equipment and conduct general lab duties. This position will work closely with the Lab Manager and Head Extractor to ensure equipment is maintained regularly and raw materials meet the necessary specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating hydrocarbon and solventless extracts just as hash and rosin
- Operate and maintain closed loop hydrocarbon solvent extraction using two Precision PX1's
- Assist with the front-end processing of raw materials, including weighing, grinding, cleaning and general lab work
- Prepare work space, equipment and materials daily
- Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware and equipment.
- Maintain high tech lab process equipment and ensure such machinery operates in a clean organized environment
- Adhere to and make improvement suggestions to company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Order necessary machine parts and upgrade equipment when necessary to ensure optimal performance
- Perform some administrative tasks, such as documenting all machine maintenance, making equipment orders, and improving or developing safety guidelines for equipment use

- Prior experience using Precision PX1 is a plus
- Must have 1-3 years’ experience as an Extraction Lab Technician or in a related role within a lab setting
- Knowledgeable in altering the different forms of solvent/ solventless extracts
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines for workplace safety and hazardous chemicals
- Compliance and understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Processes (CGMP) guidelines
- Mechanical proficiency in understanding the operation of BHO,PHO, CO2, and VTA Distillate machines, includes having the ability to service pressure vessel hoses, fittings, and being able to use a wrench to remove fittings
- Excellent knowledge of equipment operations and repair procedures
- Proficient with the internet and basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to read and use schematics related to manufacturing equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write reports, draft policies and procedures, develop presentations and conduct training sessions
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible
- Self-motivated, strong analytical skills and detail-oriented
- Capable to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Communicates well to all levels of the organization, tactfully and professionally

- Aptitude to push, pull, or lift heavy weights (50lbs or more), including sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday
