Job Summary:
The Trim Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of trimming. They are an integral part of the cultivation department who ensure that the product is tracked accurately and is processed in a timely manner with special attention to meet quality standards. Trim Managers are expected to monitor the quality of the product and provide the trim crew with feedback and/or corrections as needed. The ideal candidate has experience managing all procedures and personnel during harvest and post-harvest processing of cannabis flowers in a commercial setting. They must be familiar with large volume curing techniques, high-quality precision trimming, and Metrc compliance. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is desired. The Trim Manager will report to the Cultivation Manager for all tasks.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Delegation of all flower processing-related tasks (harvest, buck down, trimming, etc.) to be completed on time outlined in the annual cultivation schedule
- Ensuring Metrc compliance; using the provided excel sheets to track corresponding Metrc plant tags during and after harvest, generating Metrc package tags post-processing
- Daily data entry and recording of all plant material weights into corresponding harvest cycle spreadsheets
- Training employees to perform all dry flower processing tasks according to the SOP
- Oversight of all flower processing-related tasks, making sure employees are following SOPs, and issuing corrective action when employees do not follow SOPs
- Management of both full-time and temporary employees: scheduling workflow, tracking working hours, inputting timesheets, ensuring meal/rest break compliance, and coordinating staffing needs with the Cultivation Manager
- Curing of all products post-processing; using the timeframes outlined in the SOP in conjunction with sensory judgment to determine when a batch is ready for packaging
- Coordinate with the manufacturing (extraction) and packaging departments to forecast the time and volume of products ready for extraction and dry flower packaging
- Compile KPIs and daily/weekly productivity reporting
- Perform labor projections and coordinate with Cultivation Manager and Controller
- Track and order department-wide consumables and inventory
- Any other task assigned by the Cultivation Manager
Qualifications:
- Leadership experience managing a diverse team of 10 or more people.
- Greater than 1-year of experience in a management role in a licensed commercial cannabis facility.
- Adept in Excel/Google Sheets, Metrc, and Microsoft software.
- The Trim Manager will need to be agile in the delegation, as there are time constraints from when a plant is harvested to the completion of processing for manufacturing. This position requires good leadership and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment.
- The Trim Manager will be required to learn different cultivars/strains, and how to trim/cure each cultivar based on its individual characteristics.
- A large portion of the Trim Managers' role will rely on smell, feel, and experience to determine if the product is at the ideal time to be packaged.
Please note that the regulations and laws of The State of California require persons working onsite at a cannabis facility to be at least 21 years of age.

Minimum Requirements:

Job Title: Trim Manager

The Trim Manager will direct workflow and lead others in a positive productive manner. The ideal candidate for this position is equally comfortable directing others and carrying out tasks themselves. This role is responsible for overseeing 7 employees and controls workflow of trimming and QC in a fast-paced environment. He/she will work with the Cure and Quality Assurance to inspect product during trim for quality defects to ensure the procedures are being followed and meet specific requirements set forth by Company guidelines.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage all steps in the process of Trimming
- Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system.
- Ensure all product is accounted for according to company policy and procedures.
- Training all employees on proper trimming techniques
- Directs the team in carrying out procedures and schedules
- Diagnose plant health, deficiencies, pests, and other issues

Position Overview
The Trim Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Trim department, maintaining process efficiency, accurate record keeping and ensuring that all Trim Technicians are allocated appropriately to maximize production. This person is responsible for assisting in trimming of cannabis within the facility. Additional responsibilities include maintaining an accurate inventory, communicating any issues to the Post-Harvest Manager and meeting production goals by supporting Trim Technicians, including all Leads. Furthermore, the Trim Manager should identify areas for process improvement and can effectively present action plans to management.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for ensuring the Trim Department’s detail in manicuring cannabis in accordance with the company’s quality standards
- Ensure that the Trim Department adheres to all company and Cultivation Department policies and procedures
- Maintain a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor at all times, in order to promote employee-manger relations
- Communicates weekly production goals to Trim Department and ensures that daily, weekly, and monthly production goals are met in order to satisfy production requirements
- Ensure the following is handled properly by Trim Technicians:
o Monitor the handling of all product being trimmed or otherwise processed, emphasizing attention to detail, hygienic practices and proper handling of product for trichome preservation
o All trimming equipment, tools, and machinery are always functional
o All trimming equipment, tools, and machinery are clean and compliant when not in use
o Make specific adjustments to trimming equipment to ensure process efficiency and equipment longevity
o Ensure that work areas are clean, safe, and compliant at all times
o Ensure that end products meet quantity and quality standards as established by the Director of Cultivation
o Ensure that all weights and labels are accurate on both the appropriate log and the physical label on the product
- Ensure Trim Department is consistently stocked with all necessary supplies
- Monitor workflow and identify areas of improvement to maximize efficiency and increase departmental productivity
- Manage Trim Technicians by monitoring attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies and procedures; providing coaching and support; and corrective action as needed.

Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- 2-5 years of experience as a Trim department lead, preferred

Position: Trim Manager

Position Summary
This position will be tasked with the duties of maintaining the trimming of the product and maintaining the production within this department. The Trim Manager will oversee the aspects of the technicians using the dry trimming machines and employees performing a final touch up on the product. The Trim Manager will be responsible for tracking performance by the machine operators and technicians to ensure everyone is working at a full productivity level by implementing and maintaining a performance tracking system.

The Assistant Trim Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the trim process and ensuring all pertinent SOPs are being followed. In addition, the manager will provide regular coaching and development opportunities to ensure continual team growth and improve productivity.

- Weigh, assemble, package, seal, and label products.

- Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws.

Job Summary:

The trimming manager is the person who leads the entire trimming team from example by setting the standards, pushing performance and assuring that the team is always set up for success. The Trimming Manager is expected to trim about half of their time in order to set the example and identify any potential issues. (Must be 21 and over)

We are looking for a Trim Room Manager to work full-time at our OLCC licensed Tier II year-round cannabis farm. We are expanding and are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong work ethic to lead our trim crew. We are seeking a motivated, hard-working, reliable, and positive candidate to join our amazing team in a full-time (40 hours) capacity. This position will be for 5-6 days per week and may involve weekend shifts on rare occasions.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Trim Room Manager is responsible for overseeing the completion of all tasks in the trim shop. This role will also provide support to staff within cultivation and the trim shop team. The Trim Room Manager works with our Head Grower to ensure the harvest and trimming plan is on schedule.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, managing a small team of trimmers, inventory management, ordering trim room supplies, packaging, creating packages in METRC, creating transfer manifests, receiving new clones into METRC, trimming, bucking, sorting, cutting and hanging plants for drying, weighing, disposing of waste material, cleaning of tools, trimming equipment and area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to lead a small team of trimmers
- Ability to create and implement the harvesting and trimming plan
- Responsible for flower and trim inventory management
- Must have trimming cannabis flower experience
- Consistency with quality of product and output
- Must be trustworthy and reliable
- Good eye for PM, Botrytis, and high attention to detail
- Must have some METRC Experience with packaging and creating manifests
- Ability to accurately weigh and measure flower and trim material
- Must be able to tightly hand trim substantial amounts per day and train others how to do the same
- Partner with the assistant trim room manager to ensure proper storage and packaging of inventory
- Complete daily inventory reconciliation of flower and trim product against METRC
- Keep live inventory of plant and package tags
- Manage and maintain scales and ensure registration and proper renewal by ODA standards
- Ensure employees are properly identified and visitors are signed in
- Coordinate with OLCC-approved lab agencies to ensure testing of plant material prior to sale
- Communicate timelines to managers and owners
- Taking inventory of packaging materials and other trim room supplies
- Ensure trim room supplies are ordered in a timely manner
- Maintain a positive attitude and be able to work well as part of a team
- Must be organized and maintain a clean workspace
- Provide updates and education to all members of the staff on new OLCC regulations and laws
- Oversee completion of tasks in the trim shop
- General facility cleaning (we all pitch in)

Basic Function
The Processing Manager is responsible for supervising the day-to-day trim work in accordance with standards set by the company. Provides direct support for all trim associates, including schedules, training, policy and procedure updates, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures including managing and tracking trim. Responsible for highest possible standards of work in trim, maintaining facility compliance, and cleanliness in accordance with State regulations and company standards.
Principal Accountability
- Oversees day to day operations in trim
- Set up and manage daily tasks for trim staff
- Manages proper bucketing, burping, curing, hydrating, and ideal moisture content at all stages
- Maintains Data Tracking spreadsheets and SOP logs

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Trim Manager will direct workflow and lead others in a positive productive manner. The ideal candidate for this position is equally comfortable directing others and carrying out tasks themselves. This role is responsible for overseeing 60-80 employees and controls workflow of trimming and QC in a fast-paced environment. He/she will work with the Cure and Quality Assurance to inspect product during trim for quality defects to ensure the procedures are being followed and meet specific requirements set forth by Company guidelines.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage all steps in the process of Trimming
Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system.
Ensure all product is accounted for according to company policy and procedures.
Training all employees on proper trimming techniques
Directs the team in carrying out procedures and schedules
Diagnose plant health, deficiencies, pests, and other issues
Partner with processing team to identify inventory needs
Adapt processes to various strains, styles, and types of cannabis, and make quality control decisions and adjustments as necessary.
Possess the ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed or requested by his/her direct supervisor.
Manage several full-time employees while creating synergy with members of other departments.
Maintains open communication with management team and coworker, must be able to give verbal directives, training information, policies, and coaching and counseling employees if necessary.
Create a proactive environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Coordinate scheduling of all shifts and optimal asset utilization, establish manpower requirements to meet schedules. Propose and lead corrective actions should issues arise

Position: Trim/harvest manager.
Ripped City is looking for a new addition to our rapidly growing team. We are currently looking for a trim/harvest manager. The individual that we hire will begin with training on our indoor harvest until production and harvest starts. This will ensure that the managerthat we select can do the same level of work they expect their team to do. At that time, we will explain all our procedures and show how we expect flower to be trimmed. Over the next 5 weeks you will be responsible for hiring a staff of 15-20 people.
Essential Functions
- Initiates and Maintains post-harvest production and fulfillment by following Ripped City’s Procedures for daily operations.

Education and Experience Requirements
High School Education or GED
- One to two years’ experience processing cannabis in a regulated facility preferred.
- Previous experience in a licensed cannabis production facility preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling including drying, curing, and trimming.
- Knowledge and understanding of local and state regulations, with an emphasis on continual learning and sharing knowledge with the team.
- Possess the skills and knowledge to identify potential problems with a plant or the product being processed and the willingness to share with management and grow staff.
- Show self-motivation, innovation, and the ability to work well with all members of his/her staff and the company, as well as with his/her direct supervisor.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational capabilities
- Strong computer skills to accurately input and manage
- Have superior time management skills driving efficiency and productivity, and meeting goals while consistently producing high quality finished product.

Position Summary: This position is responsible for managing a team of trimmers responsible for manicuring wet or dry flower from stalk and break down of plants to process/trim them to meet Company quality standards. Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for tracking the batches that are trimmed, including the final finished product, the usable by-product amount (trim), and the un-usable by-product (waste) according to Company policy and practices, as well as state and local regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Implement standards and best practices to breakdown flower from stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch
- After breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower
- Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking
- Employee must exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills
- Employee must be able to work well independently, as well as with others
- Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of cannabis they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality
- Time management; employee must manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality product
- Employee must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can help maintain quality standards and production goals
- Employee must show up on time for work every day ready to work

The ideal candidate is a natural leader, proven manager, has ideally been a trim manager or cultivator in the past, and has a deep love for and knowledge of the plant.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate a trim crew of 30-50 trimmers
- Manage the receiving of new material from clients
- Optimize moisture content of product before it is trimmed
- Manage the process of weighing material throughout the day
- Train, mentor and guide trimmers to optimize their individual performance
- Monitoring trimming ratios throughout the day for each individual trimmer.
- Maintaining record keeping and daily analytics
- Developing and managing employee schedules
- Interaction with HR: hiring, training, performance management and firing.
- Leading, motivating and coaching high performance from the trimming team
Experience/Qualifications
- Proven experience as a team lead in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Natural leadership skills and the proven ability to build and motivate a team
- Demonstrable knowledge of the cannabis plant (cultivation experience highly desired)
- Must have an understanding of how to properly manicure cannabis flower
- Must have the ability to identify or distinguish strains by sight
- Must be able to detect cannabis imperfections such as mold, mites, and mildew, and light-burn.

- Ability to work in a sometimes physically demanding environment for 10-12 hour shifts
