Overview
Reporting to the Team Lead, Grower Accounting, the Grower Accountant is responsible for preparing periodic grower operational financial information and reports for internal users and grower clients in a timely and accurate fashion. Provides operational accounting support to growers and to internal and external customers. Works to support accounting and finance objectives, while continuously working towards improving processes and procedures in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.

- Completes weekly and monthly accounting entries as they relate to business units. Ensures corporate requirements are met through approval and back up.

- Supports and follows company and department systems and protocols including documentation and reporting.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for retail sales and educating patients about the state's medical marijuana program and the dispensary's products, state laws and regulations, patients' rights, ancillary products, patient privacy, and methods of consumption. Responsibilities also include the dispensing of medical marijuana to patients and data entry into point-of-sale and inventory tracking systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Dispense medical marijuana, marijuana-infused or derived products, and ancillary products to qualified patients in accordance with State laws, regulations, and directives.
- Learn and effectively communicate information to patients regarding cannabinoids and terpenes; different strains and relevant symptom relief; proper dosages and potency; medical efficacy of marijuana; adverse effects; safe consumption; methods of delivery; etc.
- Ensure a patient-friendly environment and provide exemplary service to the dispensary's customers.
- Implement all point-of-sale procedures including patient identification and verification; product storage, packaging and labeling; register; and security.
- Assist with data collection and the employer's pharmacological research functions.
- Implement patient privacy policies and procedures, including without limitation HIPAA.
- Provide a scientific overview of cannabis strains and cannabinoids in medicinal cannabis and the anticipated benefits.
- Recommend specific cannabis types/strains based on the patient history interview and best practices.
- Recommend specific methods of cannabis administration.
- Cross-train in additional dispensary positions.

Summary
The Cannabis Cultivation Technician reports to the Cultivation Manager and is responsible for the production of plants and all aspects of growing.
Essential Job Functions
- Propagate via seed germination and vegetative cuttings;
- Produce plants including propagation, potting, transplanting, irrigation, fertilizing/mixing nutrients, and harvesting;
- Maintain all feeding, watering, pH logs, and cultivation checklist to immediately resolve discrepancies;
- Scout plants daily for evidence of mold, or pests and taking immediate action to mitigate negative findings using an integrated pest management plan;
- Document daily cultivation activities and generating daily grow report;
- Ensure that all daily tasks are completed in a timely manner;
- Maintain a daily/weekly schedule;
- Maintain and clean cultivation areas and all cultivation equipment;
- Maintain effective communication with the Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Team;
- Prepare soil mixes for planting of seed, plugs, rooted cuttings, and seedlings;
- Understand growing technologies including lights, irrigation, fertilizer, etc.;
- Advise Cultivation Manager of the need to reorder supplies; and

Role Overview
The Regional Buyer will have knowledge of strains, concentrates, and edibles and will utilize a successful track record of buying experience to enhance the Grassroots brand. The Regional Buyer will be responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing activities that all drive towards the strategic goals of the organization: enhanced sales, enhanced margins, and a world-class patient experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Creates purchasing strategies that tie to financial goals of each dispensary
- Works with store operations team to craft localized assortments and sales forecasts to drive profitability
- Develops strong relationships with suppliers of cannabis products to ensure consistent access to product for our patients
- Responsible for managing the full lifecycle of buying: product innovation, vendor meetings, costing negotiations, executive reporting, pricing analysis, promotional calendars, and product exit strategies
- Builds reports to enhance decision making at all levels of the organization. Reports will include: best sellers, promotional expectations, and dispensary performance
- Audit purchasing processes to create “best in class” behaviors
- Understands the competitive landscape and identifies opportunities for Grassroots brands and products
- Manage appropriate inventory levels to ensure dispensaries can exceed sales expectations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field in relevant field
- Experience in retail buying, merchandising, planning, or allocation
- Strong presentation skills and ability to listen

Under the supervision of the Cultivation Manager or department lead, the Cultivation Technician will perform manual labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing medicinal cannabis, including, but not limited to; watering, feeding, pruning, cloning, cleaning, and transplanting. Attention to detail is extremely important in this role. The ideal candidate will excel as a team member within a tightly controlled, state-regulated system and timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Effectively communicate activities, and findings to area leadership
- Help create a proactive and positive environment; a positive attitude and self-motivation to help produce a high-quality manicured product, while meeting and/or exceeding personal and/or company goals
- Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the department as needed and/or requested by their direct supervisor; this may include but is not limited to, helping grow staff with small tasks, cleaning and/or moving supplies and equipment and/or helping the packaging department or working at other locations as needed.

Quality & Financial
- Tend to the plants including watering, re-potting, training, and movement of plant material and green waste
- Report to management any event or condition that might affect plant growth and development
- Perform tasks related to sanitation, decontamination, propagation, transplantation, harvest, trimming, etc. in a highly productive and efficient manner to maximize yield
- Perform regular quality assessments in all growth areas for signs of disease and/or infestation, and record data in the master record
- Monitor plant for pests and other threats with a keen eye to spot issues before they become a problem
- Assist in harvesting plant material on schedule including drying and de-stemming.
- Wash and sanitize all equipment. Scout all equipment, ensuring all tools are free of pests, viruses or disease
People & Development
- Continue education of marijuana strains, products, and the industry during downtime
- Stay up to date and comply with all state and local cannabis laws and regulations
Compliance
- Always adhere to all safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Comply with industry compliance standards set forth by the state of Massachusetts
- Label plants and ensure that an accurate inventory is maintained consistently
- Verify the proper documentation has been completed with accurate information for activities performed

REQUIREMENTS

- Understanding of basic cultivation, horticulture, or agriculture

- 1+ years of live goods growing experience (preferred)
- Experience with large scale, indoor grow operation (preferred)
- Knowledge of growing techniques, including; Germination, Cloning, and Transplantation (a plus!)
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to lift 65 pounds and be able to maneuver between growing tables that are 24 inches apart and repeatedly carry 15-20 pounds the length of warehouse/greenhouse
- Able to stand for extended periods of time, and kneel, stoop, bend, twist, in tight areas
- Able to work in hot, humid environments for extended periods of time with exposure to dust, allergens, and water
- Repetitive use of hands for all functions
- Willingness to work rotating shifts with varied hours/day, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events

JOB SUMMARY

Medical Cannabis Cultivation Technician

Summary
The Medical Cannabis Cultivation Technician reports to the Director of Horticulture and is responsible for the production of plants and all aspects of growing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Germinating seeds, cultivating out of clones, transplanting, water, feeding and mixing nutrients and fertilizers.
- Production of plants including cloning, potting, fertilizing, transplanting, water, feeding and mixing nutrients and harvesting.
- Maintaining all feeding, watering and pH logs, resolving any discrepancies or problems immediately.
- Checking plants daily for evidence of mold, or pests and taking immediate actions to mitigate any negative findings.
- Documenting daily cultivation.
- Ensure that all daily task are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain a daily/weekly schedule.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
- Maintain good line of communication with Lead Grower and Cultivation Team.
- Preparation of soil mixes for planting of seed, plugs, rooted cuttings and seedlings.
- Knowledge of growing technologies, such as lights, irrigation, fertilizer, and more.
- Advise Lead Grower of need to reorder supplies.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Preferred Experience: Nursery/Greenhouse, Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping
- Education: Background in plant sciences or horticulture preferred or cannabis cultivation experience; if candidate does not have a Certified Horticulturist or Certified Professional Horticulturist designation from ASHS, candidate will be expected to prepare for and take the exam.

About the Role:
We’re looking for a true team player who’s blazing with passion for the cannabis industry to serve as Assistant Head Grower for our operations in Homestead, FL. In this role, you’ll help provide big-picture direction and leadership to our grow team, and you’ll play a key role in ensuring our facilities are up to snuff when it comes to safety measures and GTI’s operating standards. This role is for someone who loves to keep open channels of communication and triple-check every detail of daily operations as much as they love plant life!
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with Head Grower to execute against assigned grow operations and projects
- Responsible for directing work with the Grow Team and ensuring team works at and above GTI Grow Team expectations
- Manage, supervise and direct the activities of assigned staff; make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, termination or advancement of employees. Assign work and monitor progress; guide, train and develop employees in the accomplishment of their duties and goals through professional growth
- Direct and assist management of grow schedules, personnel and quality assurance practices
- Assure compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements
- Accurate data entry in inventory tracking systems
- Will be required to be on-call and to respond to emergency situations at any time. This may include scheduling issues, potentially covering a vacant shift, facility issues and/ or human resources requirements.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, related science degree or 5+ years in production agriculture environment
- 2+ years of commercial greenhouse cultivation experience
- Proven experience in overseeing aspects of professional production environments including equipment handling, production operations, processing and execution
- Knowledgeable of growing methods including micronutrients, beneficial bacteria, and nutrient implementation
- Knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and fungi, as well as plant treatment options
- Strong knowledge of plant varieties with high yield and /or disease and insect resistant characteristics
- Cannabis growing experience preferred, not required
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
- Possesses a high level of critical thinking
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
- Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTI
- Must have a solid understanding of the Medical Marijuana laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state and the D.O.A.; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws is appreciated and commendable
