The Lab Assistant will be responsible for assisting in supportive tasks associated with the extraction and refinement of cannabis, focusing on preparatory duties that allow workflow and production to continue smoothly. The Lab Assistant’s primary role will be assisting in supportive tasks in the Gloucester CO2 Extraction & Distillate Lab, while the secondary role will involve grinding material for extraction in an external location on the property.
This is an entry-level lab role that involves supporting the daily operations of the CO2 Extraction & Distillate Lab Manager and Laboratory Technicians to optimize production within the lab, with the opportunity to grow into the Lab Technician role. Job responsibilities do not include unsupervised operation of the extraction and refinement machines within the laboratory, though gradual exposure to these machines is integrated into the training process.
The ideal candidate will have strong organization and multi-tasking skills. Data tracking and logging is essential in this role. Experience in a production-based cannabis extraction facility is plus, and a background with laboratory experience is preferred. The Lab Assistant needs to be able to follow company SOP’s efficiently and safely, including the ability to learn and apply new scientific concepts to improve workflow, efficiency, and safety is paramount.
Regular exposure to finely milled plant material and dry green waste is expected, so allergies or sensitivities to dry cannabis plant material should be taken into consideration before applying to this role (PPE will be provided).
Essential Job Functions
· Chopping/milling plant material at the Gloucester location.
· Using commercial ovens to decarboxylate plant material.
· Combining decarboxylated plant material together to creates batches on the CO2 extractor.
· Vacuum filtration.
· Cleaning and maintaining equipment and glassware.
· Disposing of green waste.
· Washing dishes.

· Physically fit: ability to meet physical demands including reaching, bending, walking, standing for long hours, and performing repetitive work.
· Comfortable working in adverse conditions. i.e. hot, cold environments, high-intensity lighting, and intense workflow.
· Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, glassware, and work surfaces.
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
· The schedule for this position will be Wednesday – Saturday 7am – 6pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch (four 10-hour shifts).

Position Overview
The Packaging Technician is responsible for the post-production handling of all manufactured products. Duties performed include the weighing, packaging, and labeling of all products from our facilities.
Essential Job Functions
- Weighing, measuring, sorting, labeling, and packaging cannabis products such as edibles, oil cartridges, lotions, roll-ons, topicals, tinctures, capsules, concentrates, flower, and pre-rolls for medical and recreational sale
- Create and apply labeling in accordance with product information, testing results, and other required information
- Maintain forms and database to precisely record weight, product count, and any relevant issues for all products
- Assemble, line, and pad boxes and shipping containers for finished product storage and shipping
- Accurately measure, weigh, and place/scoop products into containers, using hand tools and equipment
- Thoroughly clean equipment, hand tools, containers, materials, supplies, and work areas, using cleaning solutions in accordance with the relevant SOPs
- Responsible for operating a variety of automated sorting, batching, and packaging machinery
- Maintaining quality control by visually inspecting cannabis products and packaging to ensure consistency in product standards; ensuring labeling and product counts are accurate
- Inventory of cannabis products upon receipt and distribution to and from the department
- Assisting in the loading, unloading, and inventory of cannabis packaging, supplies and materials
- Adhering to production schedules
- Weighing and processing waste material in accordance with state regulations (105 CRM 725.000) and company policies and procedures

Position Overview
The Inventory & Fulfillment Associate aids in the dispensary’s secure internal procedures for the receipt, transport, storage, and organization of product inventory. Duties include, filling in-store and online orders with the correct medical or recreational products, performing daily audits of all inventory in-store, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace and vault areas. This is a team-oriented position.
Essential Job Functions
· Coordinate with the Inventory Manager and General Manager to ensure the adequate stocking of product throughout the day

Position Overview
The Staff Accountant is an essential member of Happy Valley’s Finance department. Key duties include, but are not limited to, banking & cash reconciliation, accounts receivable, wholesale & retail revenue reporting, month end reporting, journal entries etc. The ideal candidate must be highly organized & detail oriented. The Trim Technician is responsible for all duties related to the harvest, trim and curing/drying of the cannabis plants in our facilities. Duties performed include maintaining harvesting equipment, harvesting plants, handling post-harvest plants, and processing cannabis waste. The Trim Technician reports directly to the Cultivation Manager and Trim Manager.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure that all trimming equipment, tools and machinery are functional at all times
- Start-up trimming equipment at the beginning of each shift and ensure proper closing down at the end of the shift
- Make specific adjustments to trimming equipment to ensure quality control and efficiency of trimming work
- Be able to hand trim 150-200 grams per hour, 1-1.5 plants per hour
- Ensure that work areas are clean and maintained at all times
- Ensure that end products conform to quality and quantity standards
- Measure cannabis accurately so that optimal levels of production are met
- Coordinate efforts with production and cultivation workers to ensure that finished products are loaded safely into the appropriate areas based on workflows

Position Overview
The Inventory Technician is responsible for supporting the Inventory team with the management of all METRC and Inventory management requirements. Position Overview
The Inventory & Fulfillment Associates assist with the dispensary’s secure internal procedures for the receipt, transport, storage and organization of product inventory. Essential Job Functions

Position OverviewThe Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for assisting in all supportive tasks associated with the extraction and refinement of cannabis, focusing on preparatory duties that allow workflow and production to continue smoothly. This is an entry-level lab role that involves supporting the daily operations of the Laboratory Technician and Lab Manager to optimize production within the lab. This role does not include operation of the extraction and refinement machines within the laboratory. The ideal candidate will have strong organization and multi-tasking skills. Data tracking and logging is essential in this role. Experience in a production-based cannabis extraction facility is preferred, and a background with laboratory experience is highly favored. The Laboratory Assistant will be able to follow company SOP’s efficiently and safely, and thrives in a detail-oriented, collaborative environment. The ability to learn and apply new scientific concepts to improve workflow, efficiency, and safety is paramount. Regular exposure to finely milled plant material and dry green waste is expected, so allergies or sensitivities to dry cannabis plant material should be taken into consideration before applying to this role.

Position Overview
The Inventory & Fulfillment Associates assist with the dispensary’s secure internal procedures for the receipt, transport, storage and organization of product inventory. Job Title: Trim Technician

Position Overview
The Trim Technician is responsible for all duties related to the harvest, trim and curing/drying of the cannabis plants in our facilities. Duties performed include maintaining harvesting equipment, harvesting plants, handling post-harvest plants, and processing cannabis waste. Essential Job Functions
- Ensure that all trimming equipment, tools and machinery are functional at all times

Position OverviewThe laboratory technician will be responsible for assisting in the extraction and refinement of cannabis, including all tasks associated with the production of CO2 oil and distillate. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CO2 extraction, post-processing techniques, and distillation. Experience in a production-based cannabis extraction facility is preferred, and a background in chemistry with laboratory experience is highly favored. The laboratory technician will be able to easily follow company SOP’s efficiently and safely and thrives in a detail-oriented, collaborative environment. Laboratory Technician responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Chopping/milling plant material.
- Using Cascade ovens to decarboxylate plant material.
- Strictly adhere to SOP’s for supercritical CO2 extraction, winterization, filtration, and wiped film distillation.
- Clean and maintain equipment and glassware.
- Upkeeping a clean and organized workspace at all times.

- A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of CO2 extraction.

Position Overview
