Job Summary:
The Trim Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of trimming. They are an integral part of the cultivation department who ensure that the product is tracked accurately and is processed in a timely manner with special attention to meet quality standards. Trim Managers are expected to monitor the quality of the product and provide the trim crew with feedback and/or corrections as needed. In addition to monitoring quality, they must be able to accurately and efficiently enter trim data into multiple platforms. The Trim Manager must possess the ability to multitask, have attention to detail, and be able to clearly communicate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow all policy, protocol and SOPs set forth by leadership and in accordance with state laws and regulations
- Setting up the room prior to the trim with special attention to cleanliness
- Responsible for the efficient processing and packaging of cannabis flower
- Perform tasks related to harvest, trimming, sanitation, decontamination, etc.
- Harvest (including drying and de-stemming) plant material on schedule
- Communicate any abnormalities (mold, seeds, pests, etc.) found within the product to a manager or supervisor
- Ensuring that all the tools and equipment necessary for the trim are available
- Weighing plants, finished product and waste in a manner that is efficient and compliant
- Filling out the trim logs accurately and legibly, then entering data into BioTrack, POS systems and internal documents
- Sorting product into bud, popcorn, shake and trim and packaging accordingly
- Packaging and labeling product in a neat and organized manner
- Monitoring the bud/trim ratios, bud/popcorn ratios and the overall quality of the trim and providing feedback to the harvest/trim crew accordingly
- Ensuring that 88thICO’s standards and procedures are being met by the harvest/trim crew
- Having a clear understanding of all aspects of the harvest/trim including cutting, breaking down, de-fanning and hanging the plant during harvest and bucking and trimming the buds during the trimming process
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout the day, at the end of every shift and deep cleaning at the end of every harvest and trim
- Communicating clearly with the General Manager and/or Cultivation Manager about any issues regarding quality, efficiency, staffing, etc.
- Train new team members in proper trimming technique
- Create a positive safety culture ensuring safety of our employees and visitors at all times. This includes ensuring procedures and practices are in place and are being followed
- Focus on maintaining continuous improvement initiatives/activities within the operation.
- Ensure compliance of 88thICO standards
- Completes other assignments, tasks, and duties as assigned by management
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Experience in Post-Harvest/Trim procedures, required
- Experience in Cannabis Industry, required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive while standing for extended periods of time, ability to work in varying temperatures tight spaces
- Have no severe allergies or sensitivities to cannabis plants
- Noise level and working environment can be loud
- Bend, lift, kneel, open, and move product up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Frequent standing & sitting required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
