Responsible for daily Cultivation operations and ensuring all company and industry policies and procedures relating to Cultivation activities are followed. Acts as the Cultivation’s Designated Representative and directly manages Cultivation staff, including but not limited to, scheduling, training, progress reviews, and discipline. Must respond to all complaints or adverse events according to management policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the Cultivation operates in accordance to local and state regulations as well as company standard operating policies
- Manages operational expectations and maintains high product quality standards by upholding all company policies, procedures and security protocols
- Monitors all transactions and cash within the grow, including preparing bank deposits, counting sales invice and safe, making change for paychecks coin safes, requesting coinage for vault, and performing record keeping duties related to all cash
- Interfaces with vendors, purchaser, security and transport personnel to coordinate purchase, delivery, and transfer of marijuana products, retail products, equipment and supplies
- Ensures par inventory levels are maintained at all times
- Oversees the packaging labeling, and distribution of medications for all companys and employees according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Maintains knowledge of all strains of cannabis,and accessories for sale in the grow
- Maintains knowledge of guest services, patient benefits, potency, contaminant and homogeneity testing procedures, sales, promotions, product pricing, policy and procedure, state regulations, HIPPA compliance, all functions of operations, cannabinoids and how they affect the body and acts as a resource for all onsite staff members
- Manages inventory control by use of the Inventory Tracking System (ITS); Performing all receiving, transferring, reporting, reconciling and inventory management functions within ITS daily
- Implements Grow policies and ensure staff follows best practices
- Manages staff scheduling
- Reviews performance of grow employees on a regular basis and addresses performance deficiencies in a timely manner
- Develops and leads productive team meetings on a regular basis
- Participates in ongoing education and professional development as needed.
- Fulfills job duties of support staff, as needed, to compensate for staffing shortages, meal or break times, higher than normal sales volume, or to support general operations
- All other job duties as assigned
Minimum of 5 years previous experience working within a marijuana or pharmaceutical dispensing facility in a leadership or management role preferred
Cannabis experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience managing in the retail or hospitality sector preferred.
2+ years of recruiting, hiring, and talent acquisition experience is a plus.
Demonstrated agility and command working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with staff and regulatory agents
- Ability to comprehend and comply with state regulations and guidelines
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- High school diploma required; college degree or some college coursework is a plus
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Standing and moving for 2-3 hours at a time; sitting for prolonged periods, some bending;
- Requires normal range of hearing, hand-eye coordination and , computer, and telephone. May require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Job Title: Trim Manager
Department: Cultivation
The Trim Manager will direct workflow and lead others in a positive productive manner. The ideal candidate for this position is equally comfortable directing others and carrying out tasks themselves. This role is responsible for overseeing 7 employees and controls workflow of trimming and QC in a fast-paced environment. He/she will work with the Cure and Quality Assurance to inspect product during trim for quality defects to ensure the procedures are being followed and meet specific requirements set forth by Company guidelines.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage all steps in the process of Trimming
- Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system.
- Ensure all product is accounted for according to company policy and procedures.
- Training all employees on proper trimming techniques
- Directs the team in carrying out procedures and schedules
- Diagnose plant health, deficiencies, pests, and other issues
- Partner with processing team to identify inventory needs
- Adapt processes to various strains, styles, and types of cannabis, and make quality control decisions and adjustments as necessary.
- Possess the ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed or requested by his/her direct supervisor.
- Manage several full-time employees while creating synergy with members of other departments.
- Maintains open communication with management team and coworker, must be able to give verbal directives, training information, policies, and coaching and counseling employees if necessary.
- Create a proactive environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Coordinate scheduling of all shifts and optimal asset utilization, establish manpower requirements to meet schedules. Propose and lead corrective actions should issues arise
- Conduct personnel development and performance management planning for all direct and indirect reports, including ongoing proficiency training and smooth onboarding of new employees

We are looking for motivated individuals, who like working in a goal orientated fast paced working environment. We need to fill our trimming position with candidates who pride themselves on paying attention to the finest of details. Here at Cimarron Cultivation our trimmers work a three-day work week, this in tales Wednesday-Friday: with a 9am-5pm hourly rate. All trimmers required to work all three days with a one-hour lunch break from 12:30pm-1:30pm.
The Cannabis Trimmer position details includes, but are not limited to:
- Bucking the plants from off of the cannabis plants stocks and larger leaves and prepping it to be weighed.
- Helping the growers with the harvesting the plants by cutting the flowers off of the stems and prep the flowers for final trim.
- Continuing to prep the cannabis flowers to be prepared for patient and retail sales by defining the buds and prepping for final inspection and weighing.
- Keeping a clean working space and facility to meet health and safety standards within the medical farm.
- Weighing and packaging Cannabis flowers in specific quantities of measurement (i.e., ounces, grams, etc.).
- Sitting and standing for periods of 8-9 hours a day.
- Team player workmanship attitude.
