Job Summary
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects. The HR Director must possess a thorough knowledge of all matters concerning HR departments. You should be able to manage programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset. The goal is to ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and are aligned with all business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and build HR Operation as part of strategic partnership to designated customer group(s) consistent with the company’s strategic direction, functioning as integral foundation for the HR function.
- Act as the Operational VP’s strategic Business Partner and collaborate on planning and development of business/employee related programs and metrics that promote company goals and objectives, oversight of performance management, talent development, employee, and labor relations.
- Establish and support adequate internal operating procedures, to include metrics and service levels to ensure consistent operation and performance. Drive continuous improvement and consistency of processes to deliver exceptional support across the organization.
- Build and maintain a strong high-performance team; promote a culture of high customer service; actively encourage and foster sharing of ideas and cross-functional collaboration.
- Track, analyze, and leverage statistics related to employee and manager inquiries, issues, questions; identify opportunities for improved service and communication. Collaborate in the development and monitoring of HR metrics and organizational trends.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and employment laws in collaboration with Legal/Compliance and business partner(s).
- Act as change management lead in promoting, driving and establishment of company goals, objectives, and overall business direction.

- Build and maintain relationships with a diverse set of internal stakeholders to increase visibility and improve the quality of communications throughout the organization
- Partner with HR team to develop communications plans and materials for company-wide HR initiatives (e.g., annual performance review cycle, benefits open enrollment, HR policy changes & enhancements, employee voice surveys, etc.).
- Manage and support issues and crisis communications.
- Contribute to the development and creation of new positions and job descriptions, including content/formatting and ensuring alignment across the organization regarding banding, titling, reporting structure, etc.
- Partner with compliance, legal, and HR to stay up to date with all local, state, and federal regulations around staffing, specifically within the cannabis industry.

Qualifications
- Minimum of ten years of progressive HR experience that includes leadership responsibilities in and HR organization with expertise in employee/labor relations, talent management and development, change management, systems integration, and vendor management.
- Outstanding process and people management skills with proven ability to solve complex problems, manage cross-functional projects, and implement objectives-based solutions.
- Understanding of payroll administration (Federal and State laws, Local tax is a plus, prevailing wage).
- HRIS database management experience, able to make informed decisions and recommendations based on data and statistics.
- Must meet the age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies
- Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies

The right person for this role will be highly detail-oriented: able to identify issues with the product, jars, tops, labels, and extracted product components (such as cartridge tops). They must be able to keep their work station clean and contribute to the overall maintenance and cleanliness of our packaging rooms. The person in this role should also be reliable, able to show up consistently for scheduled shifts to allow us to hit our production goals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting preparatory cleaning work of packaging components: jars, tops, bottles, cartridges, etc.
- Maintaining awareness of work schedule and self-managing to ensure you are on track with the day’s tasks
- Identifying issues with inventory and collaborating with Packaging Leads to ensure supplies are stocked and ordered
- Conducting routine cleaning such as vacuuming, sweeping, and sanitizing surfaces daily, eliminating contaminants like cardboard/styrofoam near sensitive items, following direction of Leads to keep room organized
- Assembling, disassembling, and cleaning packaging equipment
- Accurately weighing and packaging premium buds with our high standards of quality in mind; labeling with Breakwater branded labels as well as state compliance labels
- Capping, bagging, and labeling cartridges, concentrated oils, topical dropper bottles, and lozenges
- Quality controlling various elements/products, identifying issues to Leads, and removing compromised items
- Properly labeling and organizing unfinished products
- Training new employees or temporary helpers on packaging processes, informing lead or manager if any processes are unclear

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Technician is responsible for the safe and accurate packaging and labeling of all products. Working with the Packaging Lead, the Packaging Tech will ensure packaging schedules are executed as well as maintaining the chain of integrity of our premium cannabis products from processing to patient.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs accurate filling, packaging, and labeling of all products ensuring compliance with company, local, and state policies and procedures and product specifications.
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to ensure the safety and efficacy of all products.
- Ensure daily production schedule and goals set by Production Manager/Team Leads are met.
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness of all packaging equipment, production areas, and sanitation practices concerning handling of product according to company procedures; reports any potential contamination to a Team Lead immediately.
- Documents line inefficiencies and downtime to identify issues. Works in conjunction with others to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure that process parameters and quality testing are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all production records, quality records, and electronic reporting tools.
- Assists in fostering a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis”.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high-quality product.
- Must be able to meet production goals within an established timeline.
- Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the NJ CRC.
- Able to pass all background checks as mandated by NJ CRC.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- The person in this position may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals, and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.
- Must be able to work on weekends or alternate shifts
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sitting, standing, and walking motion/movement will be required throughout the shift.
- Constant movement of hands/fingers and limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Constantly operates packaging machinery and other production equipment.
- Must be able to inspect and detect quality defects.
- Occasional lifting, positioning or moving items up to 50 pounds.

We are looking for an Extraction Technician to join our production team and help evolve the department as we expand. The person in this role will be responsible for the extraction and post processing of cannabis, as well as analytics. The position reports directly to the Lab Manager and is expected to perform their role in accordance with company policy, rules, and regulations. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate terpene extraction, cannabinoid ethanol extraction, and solvent recovery systems
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on extraction and distillation equipment
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and use critical thinking and good judgment to identify and escalate questions and problems not covered by SOPs
- Create and maintain pristine batch records by logging and tracking lab related information
- Learn and navigate inventory tracking system (LeafLogix) in order to accurately and efficiently execute common tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace in the laboratory
- Maintain equipment and labware by picking up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and organizing

Scope of Position
Logistics Driver is responsible for the safe and secure delivery of cannabis products from the production facilities to our wholesale partners and retail locations. The Logistics Driver serves as an extension of AYR’s extraordinary customer service through interactions that are compassionate, genuine, and respectful. Logistics Drivers are expected to contribute to make the work atmosphere which encourages forward thinking, embraces inclusion, and practices generosity of spirit. Primary Responsibilities
- Makes secure/monitored deliveries from Ayr locations to licensed facilities per state regulations.
- Pick delivery orders accurately and efficiently utilizing Leaf Logix, METRC, and Leaf Link software.
- Print out manifests, add directions, and correct driver / van information if incorrect.
- Double check each manifest to the physical shipment for accuracy.
- Use GPS to ensure that daily delivery routes are efficient and timely.
- Guarantee wholesale customer questions or concerns are resolved quickly and completely.
- Communicates any requests or unresolved concerns to management immediately.
- Oversees the intake process on location, ensuring that appropriate records and paperwork are submitted, and confidential information is maintained appropriately.
- Adapts to varied sales volume and stays active by initiating continued learning activities, creating an engaging environment, and assisting in keeping logistics areas clean and safe.
- Follows compliance practices and prevents the diversion of cannabis.
- Ensure safety practices are used when driving Ayr’s company vehicles.
- Inspects Ayr’s delivery vehicles before deliveries ensuring vehicle is safe for deliveries.
- Ensuring valid inspection sticker and vehicle registration paperwork is up to date and in delivery vehicles.
- Brings vehicles to repair locations when maintenance issues arise such as brake jobs, new tires, oil changes, windshield wiper blades, inspections, etc.
- Maintain vehicles to operational standard - insure vacuumed, washed, and other incidentals.
- Maintain fuel levels.
- Perform and participate job duties for other departments if there are no Logistics tasks, this includes packaging, processing, and cultivation.
- Completes given assignments before leaving for the day.
Qualifications
- Must possess basic math, computer, and cash handling skills.
- Able to pass all background checks as mandated by the state.

- Interviewing candidates during hiring events, on campus recruiting events, and ad hoc interviews to identify and attract excellent talent

We are looking for a Packaging Manager to supervise and oversee our Packaging Team and help evolve the department as we expand. The person in this role will be responsible for day to day operations of the team including creating and adjusting packaging schedules, providing direction, guidance, and coaching to team members, and handling personnel issues. In addition, this person will be responsible for identifying packaging solutions as we expand the scale and scope of our product offerings. These solutions could include changing the team design, developing new packaging processes, and implementing technology to increase efficiency and quality. They will partner with other departments to develop packaging schedules and ensure products are packaged and delivered in a timely manner to the relevant retail locations. The person in this role should have at least 3 years of people management experience in a setting where large volumes of consumer packaged goods are being packaged and sold. They should be organized, detail-oriented, and be able to set and hold a high standard for the quality of the end product. They should also be able to create a positive and collaborative team environment that is conducive to packaging team members’ growth.

Job Summary
The Extractions Manager (EM) is responsible for all extraction processes at AYR Wellness, spanning across a variety of extraction methodologies. Overseeing the Extraction Department, the EM is responsible for management of day-to-day operations of the department, employee onboarding and training, product research and development as it relates to cannabis extractions and concentrates, and oversight of inventory

- Ensures full compliance with all inventory tracking and control policies and procedures, including frequent daily entries, updates, and reviews of all information within inventory tracking and control software

This individual must also be humble and cautious, always being wary of what they don’t know and then working hard to close gaps in knowledge.
Job responsibilities include all aspects of indoor cannabis cultivation including, but not limited to:
- Conduct propagation via rooted cuttings, acclimating rooted clones for transplant into production rooms, and transplanting stock plants
- Consistently execute current processes for propagation to an exactingly high standard
- Identify and propose improvements to propagation process to managers using data and logic
- Implement and execute best in class IPM procedures
- Feed, water, and prune stock plants
- Maintain a clean grow environment
- Schedule and follow an annual grow schedule while adjusting for changes
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal licensing requirements
- Evaluate health of stock plants and clones
- Diligently clean and prepare propagation room
- Execute foliar spray applications and drenches
- Input data and tag plants utilizing compliance reporting software
- Assist in other grow room duties when needed
- Measure and mix nutrients stock tanks
- A degree in Horticulture, Plant Science or a related physical science degree
- 3-5 years of direct experience with commercial horticulture and/or cannabis cultivation using soil / soilless media
- Experience with tissue culture is a plus
- Ability to precisely follow directions and work closely with the grow schedule
- Required rotating weekends and holiday shifts
- Self-motivated, self-starting, able to work without direct supervision and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Familiarity with Argus or other commercial greenhouse control systems
- High level of attention to detail, familiarity with plant diseases and pests and a keen eye when scouting
- Ability to lift heavy loads continuously (50 lbs) and be standing for extended periods
- A basic computer proficiency, including Excel and Google Sheets
- A valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and multitask
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and take initiative
- 21+ ability to clear a state conducted background check
- Familiarity with the medical cannabis industry
