Summary/Objective

The Production Kitchen Assistant 1 supports the Production Kitchen Supervisor/Manager in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the cannabis production kitchen facility to ensure consistent quality of finished goods within specification, scheduled to meet agreed-upon forecasted inventory budgets and maintaining service levels at 99%. The Position

Role Overview
Southwest Wellness is looking for a safety-minded Kitchen Assistant for cannabis product processing. The ideal candidate is proactive, innovative, passionate, able to beat deadlines and find answers when it appears there are none. The position also requires you to follow good manufacturing practices at all times.
Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor tasks that include loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials and equipment.
- Properly clean and maintain kitchen equipment and overall facility.
- Maintain strict inventory records of all products and equipment used in kitchen for cannabis product processing.
- Wash and sterilize laboratory, kitchen glassware, and other sensitive equipment before / after use.
- Perform record keeping and documentation work as it pertains towards kitchen activities.
- Utilize spreadsheets and email for written documentation and communication.
- Participate in strategic discussions about company, direction, product execution in an innovative, honest, and problem-solving dialogue.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the company to all team members at all times.
- Work with passion towards industry, company, customers, co-workers, partners and investors.
- Maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude towards all work asked of you to complete.

Arizona Natural Selections, we are searching for a highly-motivated individual that possesses a variety of kitchen skills, to include safety practices and compliance. A well-qualified applicant will be able to quickly master standard natural product baking and confection techniques; assist with the production of cannabis-based consumables/edibles.
Responsibilities and Duties
The kitchen assistant will be responsible for baking, cooking, and production of developed recipes within specified guidelines, as well as all other processes associated with the kitchen. The job requires general knowledge and practical experience in a kitchen with regard to safety and compliance.
- Utilize developed recipes for large scale production based on order
- Ability to multi-task and work on projects individually
- Follow all and enforce safety regulations within the kitchen/facility while utilizing all cooking equipment
- Maintaining Quality: To be successful the kitchen assistant must continually check the specifications of the equipment and the recipe to ensure the quality of the culinary product
- Sanitary Guidelines: Maricopa County Health Code must be followed in order to maintain a clean, compliant kitchen
- Maintain production deadlines
- Operate within AZDHS guidelines
- Ability to focus and maintain acute attention to detail when applying basic cooking techniques
- Be willing to work in a team environment
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Able to pass a background check
- 2-4 years of general kitchen experience
- Experience working with confections is a plus
- High School Diploma or GED
- Follow organizational policies and guidelines
