Assist the Preventionist in managing and monitoring day-to-day operations of the RMYC Prevention Program which includes the NM Office of Substance Abuse Prevention (OSAP) contract to reduce adult and youth DWI, binge drinking and cannabis use in Taos County and AmeriCorps Public Health Crews. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Assist with RMYC monthly data reporting by maintaining OSAP binder and data dashboard
- Organize 6-8 Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) trainings within the community per year.
- Work with local alcohol establishment to improve 3 house policies per year
- Visit all alcohol establishments in Town/County to invite and encourage participation in RBS.
- Complete GIS map (ground survey of local alcohol establishments) by November of each year. Update on data dashboard.
- Collaborate with Taos Alive Coalition to work with Town and County Council members on alcohol outlet density reduction; develop ordinances in relation to outlet density and preventative design.
- Research weekly alcohol-related events/incidents in The Taos New and any alcohol licenses up for approval/renewal.
- Attend all town/county council meetings related to alcohol or preventative design
- Attend at least 2 DWI checkpoints per year.
- Attend monthly meetings: Taos Alive Alcohol Policy, Taos Alive Coalition Meeting, Taos Alive Media Work Group, DWI Council, Alcohol Outlet Density meeting (via phone). File all agendas into OSAP binder
- Works closely with Project Director, Project Manager, Lead Epidemiologist and Coalition to develop and implement a Strategic Plan to address reducing substance misuse in Taos County.
- Assist with data collection.

- Work with Lead Preventionist to develop and implement strategies, programs and policies with the Public Health Corps near peer mentoring program.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established standards.
- Develop and maintain rapport with our Patients, vendors, service providers and staff.
- Ensure Patients’ concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly and efficiently, and communicate Patient requests and/or problems to Manager when needed.
- Recommend, select and help locate the proper medicine for Patients depending on their individual needs and Physician Certification.
- Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to Patients clearly and effectively

Position Summary
The Office of Academic Affairs at the University of New Mexico-Taos invites applications for a full-time 12-month Associate Dean/Lecturer position to support, develop, and promote workforce programs at the college and in the community.
The successful candidate will coordinate UNM-Taos workforce programs. Working with the Department Chair of Professional Skills and Community Engagement and the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Associate Dean of Workforce will provide leadership for faculty teaching in Trades and Industry. Additionally, the Associate Dean will work in the community to enhance partnerships and expand workforce programs that are vital to the economic development of Taos and surrounding communities in Northern New Mexico. Southwest Wellness Center is expanding! We are looking for candidates to fill our location in Taos, NM for Med-Tender positions.

Med tenders should have customer service experience, computer, team work, cash handling and retail skills. Experience in the medical marijuana or healthcare industry are not required, but candidates who have prior experience will be strongly considered. He/She reports to and is supervised by the Dispensary Regional Manager (DRM) and the Dispensary Manager (DM). Must be at least 21 years old and pass a criminal State and National background check.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established standards.- Develop and maintain rapport with our Patients, vendors, service providers and staff.- Ensure Patients’ concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly and efficiently, and communicate Patient requests and/or problems to Manager when needed.- Recommend, select and help locate the proper medicine for Patients depending on their individual needs and Physician Certification.- Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to Patients clearly and effectively- Follow policies and procedures, including inventory control, qualifying patient record keeping, security, dispensing medical marijuana, patient education and support- Represent our philosophy on customer service and customer relationships- Arrive on time, morning shifts before the doors open to set up. Closing shifts stay until all the work has been completed.- Ensure the dispensary is ready to serve the patients- Clean and organize med tending room, bathroom and back room before opening and closing including wiping down counters and windows.- Ensure POS and customer areas are clean and organized- Stock inventory as requested by DRM or DM- Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician, bank teller , or other work experience with strict compliance standards preferred.- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience required.- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.- Experience in medical cannabis industry highly desirable, but not required.- Must be 21 years old and pass criminal State background check.- Excellent oral and written communication skills- Proficient computing skills- Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match- Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction- High level of integrity
Working conditions:
- Continuous mobility throughout the dispensary daily- Lift and move up to 50 lbs, multiple times, daily- Stoop, kneel and crouch daily- Stand for extended periods of time; 8-12 hours

If you have the following experience, the Dispensary Manager role could be for you:
- Increasing sales and profitability by ensuring efficient operations, cost-saving measures and increasing productivity
- Managing and inspiring retail staff to deliver the highest level of customer service
· Maintaining in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge
- Monitoring sales floor for staffing, customer needs, service, atmosphere, and security
