Position Description
Edible Manufacturing Lead executes company objectives by managing the edible manufacturing team operations including: producing edible batches, inventory management, batch data compilation, processing product, real time weight reporting, supply inventory management, coordinate packaging schedule, and regulatory compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Completesproduction goals by assigning employees and providing oversight on work results and performance metrics.
- The Edible Manufacturing Lead will ensure staff is always busy laboring in the facility and/or working on selected production tasks as directed by the Leadership team.
- Follows and completes the edible manufactuing plan by coordinating between the necessary departments and leadership team.
- The Edible Manufactuing Lead will manage the edible manufacturing staff in accomplishing set production results, establishing priorities, monitoring the production progress and quality controls, resolving problems, and reports the data to company production summaries daily.

Position Description
Logistics Agent executes company objectives by coordinating all non-cannabis inventory shipping, receiving, and tracking system control operations. This position utilizes Leaf Logix Seed to Sale tracking system in conjunction with company tracking documents and GMP systems to maintain inventory and implement recipe functionality for Operations. Tasked with providing strong support for operations by working directly for the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager, he/she is responsible for reception & distribution of orders received to departments, organization and functionality of receiving dock & staging areas, and maintaining adequate stock room levels for all non-cannabis inventory that is systematically tracked and follows regulatory compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving orders of all non-cannabis related inventory into the facility and inspects all incoming packages, freight, and material to confirm quantity received and checks for any observable/visible damage. Furthermore, delivers all inbound shipments to appropriate storage area(s) or commodity area(s) within our facility by coordinating with management.
- The Logistics Agent will attend a weekly packaging meeting with the corporate branding and in-house management team. Furthermore, the Logistics Agent will follow up the meeting by providing the team with tracking update communication relayed by the purchasing team.
- Maintains systematic nomenclature specific to operations by coordinating between the necessary departments, corporate council, and the in-house leadership team. This includes but not limited to: categories, rooms, IDs, SKUs, types, items, strains, and measurements.
- Receive edible manufacturing ingredients compliantly into Dry Ingredient Storage room(s) within Leaf Logix and the Isolocity cGMP database system. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Logistics Agent to maintain inventory stock levels within this database and report discrepancies to company summaries and in real time with the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager for review.
- Responsible for maintaining systematic and physical stock room compliance, establishing priorities, monitoring inventory tracking systems, resolving problems, and reporting the data to management in real-time.
- Coordinates with Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager to facilitate implementation of updates and features to the system which affect non cannabis inventory.
- Respond to the various departments who may need information regarding vendors, products, or deliveries. In addition, coordinates with departments and Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager for items needing to be shipped off.
- Notifies the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager of additional planning needs in advance of employee vacations, illnesses, and all other areas relating to managing the inventory tracking systems. Furthermore, reports to their manager preemptively when system errors which impact operations arise.
- Develop and maintain relationships with freight and small parcel carriers who make regular deliveries to our facility.

Medical Cannabis Cultivation Technician – Kind Therapeutics USA

JOB DESCRIPTION
Facilitate daily cultivation operations within the Kind Therapeutics facility, including but not limited to, the consistent monitoring of cultivation room environments, plant health, watering, integrated pest management programs, cloning, pruning, transplanting and other activities. This position reports directly to the Cultivation Manager. The Cultivation Technician will be taught cultivation SOPs for all stages of plant development – propagation, vegetation, and flowering -- with an expectation to follow those tasks accordingly in a repetitive production environment as part of an established team.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all cultivation equipment and materials are kept in a satisfactory condition by complying with procedures, rules/regulations and Kind Therapeutic SOPs.
- Document feed regimen by recording E.C. and pH of feed, as well as E.C. of run-off when necessary
- Monitor room environmental condition and plant health
- Perform care techniques including topping plants on schedule, selection of plants to be culled, defoliation and disposal compliance flushing, foliar and preventative sprays
- Responsible for de-fanning, pruning, transplanting and grooming plants
- Responsible for the close inspection and monitoring of plant pressures including pest, fungi, bacteria, viruses, and others as instructed
- Follow IPM schedule and wear appropriate PPE when drenching or spraying
- Become familiar with Comar and MMCC regulations
- Possess skills in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed
- Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers
- Responsible for following all standard operating procedures (SOPs) operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties

Flower Packaging Agent - Kind Therapeutics USA
Position Description
The Flower Packaging Agent performs duties as assigned within the flower packaging department including: portioning, weighing, counting, labeling, packaging, cleaning, taking inventory and regulatory compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the Maryland Medical Cannabis
Commission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, fill, seal, and label all packages containing medical cannabis products in accordance with MMCC compliance regulations. Bulk pounds, prepackaged flower, and preroll operations.
- Maintains performance in a fast paced work environment. In addition; it is the responsibility of the flower packaging agent(s) to possess the ability to stay on track and work at a high efficiency in a repetitive manufacturing work environment. The flower packaging department packages medical cannabis into bulk pounds, pre packaged drams, and pre rolls utilizing filling equipment and machinery.
- Understanding that all sub departments within production are tied to measurable performance metrics and strives to achieve expected rate of performance through speed & accuracy of production weight/count recording, labeling, filling, packaging, and all other related packaging goals through focused and prompt attention to the job at hand
- Routine visual inspection of product for correct consistency/quality, each flower packaging agent is responsible for real time product quality inspections during packaging.
- Completes the flower packaging plan by following detailed written & verbal instructions as well as floating between necessary SKU assembly lines as per the direction of the Flower Packaging Lead.
- Notifies direct supervisors if potential bottlenecks and/or issues related to production operations arise.
- Assists other Production sub departments as directed by the supervisor and/or leadership team.

Fulfillment Associate will aid the Fulfillment Supervisor with packaging and coordinating all medical cannabis finished products for shipment to Maryland licensed dispensaries. This position requires proficiency in metrc (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Recording Compliance) seed to sale tracking system, Leaf Logix and Leaf Link. This position performs essential physical inventories and compliance audits to ensure full Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission regulatory requirements are being satisfied. This person ensures standard operating procedures and Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) regulatory requirements are strictly followed.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct physical inventories and audits of medical cannabis finished products in compliance with Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission regulatory requirements
- Monitor and oversee all finished medical cannabis flower and processor inventory
- Physically pick and pack medical cannabis product inventory according to dispensary orders
- Convert medical cannabis finished inventory using Leaf Logix and metrc software programs
- Communicate low inventory levels of finished medical cannabis finished products to Lab Packaging Lead
- Prepare packaged orders and include relevant daily delivery documents to transportation agents
- Generate and maintain internal spreadsheets with weekly available finished goods inventory levels
- Communicate effectively and accurately to sales team available finished goods inventory available for sale via e-mail
- Verify packing slips from both Leaf Link and E-mail are organized for accountability and internal dissemination
- Create and update orders, packing slip, invoices in QuickBooks to reflect any changes as required
- Create daily schedules for packaging of finished products for outbound delivery orders
- Verify all pulled finished goods inventories prior to approval for final packaging
- Create all outbound metrc and Leaf Logix manifests in advance for drivers prior to shipping day
- Create daily schedules for product deliveries to include delivery routes for transportation agents, currency pickups and products being returned when required
- Act as a liaison with dispensary staff for questions and matters of operations pertaining to but limited to routes, schedules, and manifest
- Ensure that Leaf Logix and METRC are reconciled on a bi-weekly basis
- Partner with packaging lead to ensure that ongoing extractions are communicated for planning purposes
- Work closely and under the direct supervision of Kind’s Office Manager and Post Processing Manager
- Exhibit and demonstrate proficiency in the technical skills necessary to navigate Leaf Logix and METRC
- Revise and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

Position Description
This position is responsible for supervising and implementation of Food Safety, Work Safety, Compliance and Quality Assurance programs designed to meet State and Federal (cGMP) regulations for the cultivation, processing, and production of cannabis and cannabis-infused products.
The ideal candidate will have direct experience as a quality and/or compliance leader in the Cannabis industry, or a similar highly regulated industry such as food and beverage. A demonstrated track record implementing and maintaining a robust operational compliance program for Consumer-Packaged Goods ("CPG") facilities—including developing SOPs and leading internal audits—is preferred. A practical experience in cGMP, HACCP, ISO and SQF Management System Standards will be most desired. The candidates must be a PCQI or be willing to achieve certification in the shortest possible time.
This position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager/Director at MariMed Corporate for technical and systems activities.
This position will report to the Facility General Manager on operational and facility specific compliance related activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with relevant persons to Design, Develop, Implement and Maintain quality and safety management system to include SOPs, forms, and regulated documents for approval and implementation.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures for food safety following state code, HACCP, Review, write and edit SOPs with a focus on achieving cGMP and other Management Systems (Food Safety, Work Safety) conformance and compliance 21 CFR 111 and 21 CFR 117, OSHA as well as state specific work safety as required.
- Monitor training and quality and safety performance at the facility.
- Report to facility leadership – KPIs, initiatives, issues, corrective action, and customer complaints.
- Provide guidance and lead problem solving and corrective actions involving food safety and quality issues at the facility.
- Interpret quality and safety philosophy to key personnel in the facility and potential business impact.
- Authority to accept/reject products, in-process components, raw materials, packaging, labels and more based on quality and safety.
- Train and lead in all work safety, food safety and product quality related activities.
- Manage Contracts in collaborations with other stakeholders and Supplier Evaluation Program specific to the facility.

- Serve as primary facility liaison to third party GMP consultants and certifying organizations. This includes participating in and leading meetings to keep team “on track” and ensure timelines are met.
- Communicate to all relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of GMP systems.
- Develop internal audit systems focused on quality and compliance. Ensure follow-up to identified issues.
- Serve as primary liaison with ITL (independent testing labs). Maintain, organize, and review test results to support ongoing quality assurance.
- Assist Cannabis Inventory Manager on facility audits and compilation and review of METRC and Leaflogix data related to the cultivation, production, and processing operations.
- Ensures that the facility meets the company’s, industries and regulatory standards for food safety and product integrity always.
- Oversees complaint investigations and ensures corrective action is being reported and followed up on
- Ensures that the unit is up to standards for audits, pest control, working with Facility Managers on Sanitation.

Education and Professional Requirements:
§ 2+ years of experience as a quality and safety assurance technician/manager in Dietary/Natural Products, Food or Pharmaceutical industry.
§ BS or BA degree in food science, food engineering, microbiology, chemistry, or other similar science related field.
§ HACCP & PCQI certified preferred
§ Computer Skills: MS Office applications, GMP software
§ Excellent oral and written skills; ability to tailor to audience.

Medical Cannabis Cultivation Technician – Kind Therapeutics USA
JOB DESCRIPTION
To facilitate daily cultivation operations within the Kind Therapeutics facility, including the consistent monitoring of cultivation room environments, plant health, watering, integrated pest management, cloning, pruning, transplanting and other related activities. This position reports directly to the Propagation Lead. The ideal candidate will possess the capacity to be trained on cultivation SOPs with the ability to follow those tasks accordingly in a repetitive production environment. This position functions within an established team to perform the daily tasks of propagation within the Cultivation department. Ensure tasks are being performed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with all current Kind Therapeutics cultivation SOP's. Cultivation Technician is responsible for following daily operations schedule in cultivation, including processes and procedures within propagation, vegetation, flowering, and the post-harvest phases.

Facilitate daily cultivation operations within the Kind Therapeutics facility, including but not limited to, the consistent monitoring of cultivation room environments, plant health, watering, integrated pest management programs, cloning, pruning, transplanting and other activities. This position reports directly to the Cultivation Manager. The Cultivation Technician will be taught cultivation SOPs for all stages of plant development – propagation, vegetation, and flowering -- with an expectation to follow those tasks accordingly in a repetitive production environment as part of an established team.

Position Description
Logistics Agent executes company objectives by coordinating all non-cannabis inventory shipping, receiving, and tracking system control operations. This position utilizes Leaf Logix Seed to Sale tracking system in conjunction with company tracking documents and GMP systems to maintain inventory and implement recipe functionality for Operations. Tasked with providing strong support for operations by working directly for the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager, he/she is responsible for reception & distribution of orders received to departments, organization and functionality of receiving dock & staging areas, and maintaining adequate stock room levels for all non-cannabis inventory that is systematically tracked and follows regulatory compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving orders of all non-cannabis related inventory into the facility and inspects all incoming packages, freight, and material to confirm quantity received and checks for any observable/visible damage. Furthermore, delivers all inbound shipments to appropriate storage area(s) or commodity area(s) within our facility by coordinating with management.
- The Logistics Agent will attend a weekly packaging meeting with the corporate branding and in-house management team. Furthermore, the Logistics Agent will follow up the meeting by providing the team with tracking update communication relayed by the purchasing team.
- Maintains systematic nomenclature specific to operations by coordinating between the necessary departments, corporate council, and the in-house leadership team. This includes but not limited to: categories, rooms, IDs, SKUs, types, items, strains, and measurements.
- Receive edible manufacturing ingredients compliantly into Dry Ingredient Storage room(s) within Leaf Logix and the Isolocity cGMP database system. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Logistics Agent to maintain inventory stock levels within this database and report discrepancies to company summaries and in real time with the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager for review.
- Responsible for maintaining systematic and physical stock room compliance, establishing priorities, monitoring inventory tracking systems, resolving problems, and reporting the data to management in real-time.
- Coordinates with Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager to facilitate implementation of updates and features to the system which affect non cannabis inventory.
- Respond to the various departments who may need information regarding vendors, products, or deliveries. In addition, coordinates with departments and Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager for items needing to be shipped off.
- Notifies the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager of additional planning needs in advance of employee vacations, illnesses, and all other areas relating to managing the inventory tracking systems. Furthermore, reports to their manager preemptively when system errors which impact operations arise.
- Develop and maintain relationships with freight and small parcel carriers who make regular deliveries to our facility.
- Maintains professional and technical cannabis knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, fill, seal, and label all packages containing medical cannabis products in accordance with MMCC compliance regulations. Bulk pounds, prepackaged flower, and preroll operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Facilitate daily cultivation operations within the Kind Therapeutics facility, including but not limited to, the consistent monitoring of cultivation room environments, plant health, watering, integrated pest management programs, cloning, pruning, transplanting and other activities. This position reports directly to the Cultivation Manager. The Cultivation Technician will be taught cultivation SOPs for all stages of plant development – propagation, vegetation, and flowering -- with an expectation to follow those tasks accordingly in a repetitive production environment as part of an established team.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all cultivation equipment and materials are kept in a satisfactory condition by complying with procedures, rules/regulations and Kind Therapeutic SOPs.
- Document feed regimen by recording E.C. and pH of feed, as well as E.C. of run-off when necessary
- Monitor room environmental condition and plant health
- Perform care techniques including topping plants on schedule, selection of plants to be culled, defoliation and disposal compliance flushing, foliar and preventative sprays
- Responsible for de-fanning, pruning, transplanting and grooming plants
- Responsible for the close inspection and monitoring of plant pressures including pest, fungi, bacteria, viruses, and others as instructed
- Follow IPM schedule and wear appropriate PPE when drenching or spraying
- Become familiar with Comar and MMCC regulations
- Possess skills in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed
- Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers
- Responsible for following all standard operating procedures (SOPs) operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties

Additionally the Human Resource Generalist makes certain that all HR functions are administered in accordance with federal and state and local regulations and that plan provisions are followed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Process employee enrollments, changes and terminations, auditing and reconciling benefit systems and invoices and ensuring and maintaining compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping, proper deductions and COBRA notification.

JOB DESCRIPTION
To facilitate daily cultivation operations within the Kind Therapeutics facility, including the consistent monitoring of cultivation room environments, plant health, watering, integrated pest management, cloning, pruning, transplanting and other related activities. This position reports directly to and under the supervision of the Cultivation Lead. You possess the capacity to be trained on cultivation SOPs, with the ability to follow those tasks accordingly in a repetitive production environment. This position functions within an established team to perform the daily tasks of propagation within the Cultivation department. Ensure tasks are being performed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with all current Kind Therapeutics cultivation SOP's. Cultivation Technician will be responsible for following daily operations schedule in cultivation including processes and procedures within propagation, vegetation, flowering, and the post harvest phases.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maintaining clean and organized workspace at all times
- Ensures all materials are kept in good/clean condition by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Tools are cleaned daily and replaced appropriately
- Assists with supply inventory by monitoring materials and anticipating material needs and minimizing waste
- Displays a positive attitude and has a passion for cultivation
- Achieves cultivation objectives by conducting processes and procedures in accordance to the SOPs and completes daily schedule
- Responsible for keeping accurate plant count inventory and metric tags to maintain compliance
- Ensures all plants are fed appropriately by monitoring moisture levels of grow medium

- Must be skilled in plant care to ensure mother plants are properly fed and maintained throughout their 4 month life cycle
- Responsible for uptrimming, de-fanning, pruning, transplanting and grooming plants
- Responsible for the close inspection and monitoring of plant pressures including pest, fungal, bacterial, viruses, and all plant health issues
- Follows IPM schedule and wears appropriate PPE when drenching or spraying
- Uses data and information collected to suggest improvements to grow processes
- Familiar with Comar and MMCC regulations and ensures all procedures are in compliance
- Possess skills in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed
- Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift, as well as information sharing

Position DescriptionThe Flower Packaging Agent performs duties as assigned within the flower packaging department including: portioning, weighing, counting, labeling, packaging, cleaning, taking inventory and regulatory compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the Maryland Medical CannabisCommission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains performance in a high stress-fast paced work environment. In addition; it is the responsibility of the flower packaging agent(s) to possess the ability to stay on track and work at a high efficiency in a repetitive manufacturing work environment. The flower packaging department packages medical cannabis into bulk pounds, pre packaged drams, and pre rolls utilizing filling equipment and machinery.
- Understanding that all sub departments within production are tied to measurable performance metrics and strives to achieve expected rate of performance through speed & accuracy of production weight/count recording, labeling, filling, packaging, and all other related packaging goals through focused and prompt attention to the job at hand.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Director of Processing, Full-Time, Hagerstown, Maryland
Purpose
The Director of Processing is responsible to oversee the entire extraction, post extraction processing and edibles manufacturing operation at Kind
Therapeutics. This individual is accountable for successful extraction oversight including hydrocarbon, CO2, Ice Water, Heat/Pressure, Ethanol and distillation. Post extraction processing to include operating vac ovens, vape cartridge filling and edible production. The Director of Processing will be required to manage a departmental budget, achieve KPI’s and lead the processing team. New product development is expected, with a focus on developing and launching new concentrate and edible SKUs. The Director of Processing provides supervision of all personnel in the department, maintains appropriate staff to hit KPIs, and is responsible for developing a multi shift department. METRC administration, employee training on machine operations, understanding of best manufacturing practices along with people and process management skills are required.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities
- Improve and oversee all Processing Departments (Extractions, Post
Extraction Processing and Kitchen).
- Accountable for all MMCC compliance requirements and METRC administration.
- Ensuring all staff has received proper training, coaching and oversight for successful machine operations.
- Supervises personnel and holds staff accountable to production schedules, SOPs, employee handbook and MMCC regulations.
- Assisting with disciplinary actions when assistance is required by the direct management of the Processing Departmental teams.
- Actively engaged in process improvement that includes creating and revising existing SOPs, production log documentation and flowchart creation.
- Works with the HR department to effectively manage employees, including recruiting and directing staff, disciplinary actions, managing personnel to achieve production schedule, engaging quarterly staff reviews and resolving any employee issues.
- Ensures that QC/QA processes are instituted and followed for consistent concentrate products.
- Works closely with COO to create and implement quarterly and annual
Lab plans and budgets.
- Research and develop concentrates and edibles SKUs to increase brand recognition and market penetration. Has an awareness of current product trends in other markets to ensure the company’s products are considered premium. Works with consultants and engages as Project
Manager to oversee projects to develop new concentrate and edible products.
- Works with the Director of Production on packaging requirements for the company’s weekly product needs.
- Handles other duties as directed by COO.
Systems
- Proficient in METRC, Leaflogix, Leaflink, G Suite, and Slack on a daily basis. Systems are subject to change, must be competent in computer systems.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of cannabis extraction experience in a commercial licensed facility that includes hydrocarbon, CO2, ethanol and distillation.
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience leading a large team of employees and manages a team in accordance with State compliance regulations, Company policies/SOPs and best manufacturing practices.
- Expand the lab into 7 days per week with multiple shifts per day.
Accomplishes and executes on planning to achieve operating capacity at the lab.
- Manage the department to the business plan and budget, communicate issues in advance and is a solutions oriented manager.
- Production scheduling and develops a team to accomplish goals and
KPIs.
- Build departmental budgets, works with Accounting to maintain supplies and Facilities to keep machines online.
- Works with a sense of urgency while maintaining professionalism in the workplace.
- Communicate with the personnel, management, and the MMCC, solid written and verbal communication abilities, provide presentations as needed.
- Understands the importance of the cannabis culture and end user needs.
- Pass MMCC Processor agent badge and employment requirements.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- BA/BS degree in business, chemistry or other similar programs preferred.
- Extensive work experience in similar operations can waive degree requirements depending on experience.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
