JOB SUMMARY
This position reports directly to the Senior Packaging Manager and is responsible for assuring the proper planning, scheduling, production, and compliance of cannabis products for sale. The Assistant Packaging Manager completes their duties.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Works with team to ensure production and filling quotas are met
- Communicates respectfully with all staff including leadership
- Stays up to date on regulatory and compliance bulletins in order to make changes to production schedule accordingly
- Follows and maintains department SOP's for weighing, fulfilling, labeling, and storing product
- Supervises the manicuring and packaging of plant material and infused products
- Ensures all objects are completed compliantly with regards to regulations. Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of department as assigned
- Uphold quality of finished product through employing attention to detail
- Train and assist staff with the operation of automated and semi-automated packaging and filling equipment
- Employee related issues, corrective actions, employee change forms, department head count holder
- Work closely with department supervisors on employee related issues, have knowledge/understanding of attendance policy/handbook
- Backfill Senior Packaging Manager in his/her absence
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of packaging and/or cannabis production and conversion experience in a commercial cannabis facility
- 2+ years demonstrated success managing a team
- Knowledge or willingness to learn state specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including work excel, outlook, and PowerPoint.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Baked Bros Level One Packaging Assistant, you are one of the last team members to evaluate product ensuring it meets our standards of quality. You understand the importance of maintaining a spotless work environment and strictly adhere to standard operating procedures. You work in an infusion kitchen with state-of-the-art equipment and high-temperature ingredients. Attention to detail is a strength and you have the stamina to stand/sit for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, and reach. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:30pm with some variation as the business dictates. You report to the Packaging Manager and follow the lead of the Assistant Packaging Manager and Lead Packager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sanitize/Prepare all surfaces, dishes, and storage for production
- Maintain cleanliness standards and protocol to prevent contamination
- Lift, shake, and move 15-50lbs with assistance during gummy infusion
- Affix labels to syrup bottles, packages, and boxes
- Refill staging receptacles
- Assist with consolidation of product into wholesale packaging
- Assist with the filling, capping, and sealing of syrup bottles/packages
- Assist with preparation of edibles
