The Marketing and Customer Engagement Specialist is a hybrid role based in retail and is responsible for engaging with our customers both online, in-store, and in the local community to foster loyalty, brand building, and provide quality customer service. The Specialist will act as a marketing liaison to their store, as part of the retail management team, and contribute to existing marketing programs while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company goals.
The Specialists' duties will be performed in conjunction with Service Associate (SA) duties when necessary and will require a minimum of 20 hours a week dedicated to marketing responsibilities. In coordination with the Retail Management team, the Specialist will be a team lead, key holder and scheduled for opening and closing shifts during operating hours throughout the week. The Specialist will meet weekly with Marketing and their Retail Manager, as well as participate in larger group meetings and discussions as needed.
Primarily, the Marketing and Customer Engagement Specialists’ job is to ensure we are creating a positive, engaging, welcoming and educational experience for each guest, starting with their online impression and interaction with our menu to the customer experience in-store. This includes delegating tasks to team members with proper training.

- Coordination of all in-store events with internal teams and vendor partners from planning to execution.

- Manage monthly store-specific marketing budget to ensure marketing initiatives and events are supported.

Native Sun Wellness is building an elevated retail experience for the modern cannabis consumer. We are looking to hire a Dispensary Manager to assist with the launch and ongoing operations of Native Sun Wellness dispensaries.
For the first year, the position will require 50% travel to offices in Brighton, MA. The position will be based in Hudson, MA in the long-term.
Position: Dispensary Manager
Reports to: Senior Management
Overview of Position
The Dispensary Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the dispensary by overseeing and directing all dayâ€toâ€day operations, including overseeing retail staff. The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills, a problemâ€solving attitude, strong desire for selfâ€improvement, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and management abilities, and solid administrative/clerical and time management skills. The Dispensary Manager is also responsible for upholding the mission and values of the company and ensuring that his/her team always delivers excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Dispensary Manager include interacting with, educating, and advising members faceâ€toâ€face and by phone; recordâ€keeping; monitoring inventory and cash management; interacting with local service providers; and helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility inside and out. The Dispensary Manager is also responsible for scheduling and overseeing the dayâ€toâ€day duties of the retail staff.
- Delivers a superior level of customer service, both in person and on the phone; coaches retail staff on the commitment to customer service
- Consistently models professionalism; serves as a role model to retail staff during periods of high stress and ambiguity
- Maintains highest level of compliance at all times and ensures all proper legal and Company policies and procedures are strictly followed
- Evaluates dispensary processes with Dispensary Operations Manager to ensure maximum efficiency
- Diffuses difficult situations and ensures issues are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction while upholding company standards
- Approaches difficult conversations with employees and uses diplomacy in human resources issues; requests guidance from senior management when handling delicate employee relations situations
- Oversees inventory and cash management, daily and weekly, including regular bank deposits; responsible for training retail staff on proper cash handling and inventory management
- Maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment inside and outside the facility; has a high attention to detail and regularly reviews facility needs and communicates them to the appropriate parties
- Is a brand ambassador, both during and outside of regularly scheduled work hours
- Performs additional duties assigned by the Dispensary Operations Manager
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years postâ€secondary education in a related field preferred
- Work Experience Required
- 4+ years’ experience in a fastâ€paced clientâ€service intensive industry – hospitality and retail background preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in a management role (building and leading a team to success; lead by example)
- Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges.
Required Knowledge
- Computer & equipment operations necessary for running an office/retail center (POS systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
- Thorough understanding of how to achieve results in a highly compliant environment
- Arithmetic necessary for basic inventory and cash management
- Familiarity with history and varieties of cannabis preferred but not required
Skills and Abilities
- Outstanding phone, email, and inâ€person customer service skills/etiquette
- Ability to communicate clearly and calmly in a positive and didactic manner
- Skilled in performing job duties in a fastâ€paced environment with the ability to stay even keeled in periods of stress
- Demonstrated proactivity, flexibility, adaptability, and multiâ€tasking
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of ethical conduct; absolute reliability and integrity
- Skilled in accurate cash management and inventory control

Physical Requirements

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
