Core Duties:
Under direction from the Processing Manager, the Processing Shift Lead is responsible for assisting the Processing Supervisor in delegation and oversight of the Processing Team. The Processing Shift Lead’s responsibilities also include handling and processing plant material, running standard production machinery, and assisting with general packaging of products within our production facility. The Processing Shift Lead shall be responsible for supporting the Processing Supervisor in leading a processing team, maintenance of all processing equipment, quality control, and the ongoing operation of all post-harvest processing, extract and MIP handling, and final packaging of all goods. The Processing Shift Lead’s duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Supervision of and participation in trim and production processes;
- Delegation of tasks to Processing Associates, per Processing Manager’s/Supervisor’s direction;
- Ensuring quality control in handling and packaging of all cannabis and cannabis infused products in compliance with state regulations
- Recording quantities and weight for all product including flower and trim;
- Training and coaching Processing Associates
Principal Responsibilities:
The Processing Shift Lead’s duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assure daily compliance with company policies including but not limited to: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, facility maintenance, and work schedules
- Oversee accurate filling, packaging, and labeling of products within the production facility. This includes, but is not limited to: finished flower, pre-rolls, cartridges, concentrates, edibles, and other marijuana infused products.
- Maintain that all production areas and equipment are clean and sanitized at all times according to standard operating procedures.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting the Processing Supervisor with QC'ing manicured product from the trimming team. The Processing Lead is also responsible for tracking finished product, unworkable flower, usable by-product (trim), and un-usable by-product (waste) according to company policy and practices, as well as state and local laws and regulations.

- Number one responsibility: Quality Control – Focusing on QC'ing trimmer's product efficiently with a goal of 3-5 minutes per.
- Ensuring trimmers maintain appropriate manicuring techniques based upon variances in strain, styles, and types of flowers
- Separate and track: bucked material, product, usable by-products and waste.
- Identify various types of mold and systemic diseases and adjust processes to mitigate issue.
- Identify light burn, nutrient burn, pest damage, and any other product abnormalities and communicating these issues with the team, inventory and Supervisor/Manager.
- Accurately record weights and documentation at various points of production phases, including time records
- Comply with organization policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, sanitization procedures, etc..
- Contribute ideas, research, evaluate, and adapt new methods/techniques to meet or exceed production goals
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the work room while performing duties as well as managing the end-of day clean-up process for the team
- Provide as needed fill-in coverage as needed for Supervisors and Manager including overseeing operations within the room assigned, assisting with QC, and weigh-ins.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Processing Technician Lead assists the processing team in the post-harvest processes of raw cannabis biomass as well as the packaging, labeling and order fulfillment of cannabis-infused products.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
- Coordinate day-to-day processing scheduling with the Director of Processing.
- Assist the Director of Processing with editing, drafting and adherence to processing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist the Director of Processing with monitoring and adjusting daily environmental room settings throughout the curing and drying process.
- Lead a Processing team in post-harvest and/or Packaging production.
- Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly calibration of processing equipment and technology.
- Ensures any Jushi employee that is performing a processing task is properly trained prior to performing the task.
- Perform mechanical and hand bucking of cannabis biomass.
- Accurate weighing and labeling of biomass on racks and storage bins.
- Perform drying and curing duties as directed.
- Assemble primary, secondary or tertiary packaging for all Cannabis products.
- Perform primary, secondary and tertiary packaging of Cannabis products.
- Print and apply labels to finish packaged product.
- Responsible for light to medium maintenance of automated equipment including cleaning and preventative maintenance.
- Operate, maintain, and clean processing, packaging and labeling equipment.
- Data Entry and record keeping of all information pertinent to the traceability of medical cannabis.
- Able to work independently as well as operating as a team.
- Follow all site Safety requirements including use of PPE. Safety meetings as required.
- Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand.
- Conduct counts of packaging/labeling materials.
- Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency.
- Adheres to a rigorous production schedule and works to ensure product is processed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Adhere to strict sanitation practices throughout the facility
- Other tasks, as determined by the Director of Processing, to ensure smooth operation of facility.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least two years of experience in cultivation, production, packaging, contract packaging, or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent computer, mathematical, language and reasoning skills
- General computer ability
- Previous experience in medical cannabis industry (preferred)

Expected Hours of Work

The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will work within the Laboratory Department and report to the Laboratory Processing Supervisor. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will assist the Lab Manager by carrying out day-to-day tasks. It is expected that you will learn and be able to perform all tasks within the laboratory area.
Job Duties:
- Preparing for production by reviewing production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant materials and supplies for extraction.
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment; Processing concentrates and extracts
- Cleaning and maintaining extraction equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
- Operating, maintaining, adjusting, and repairing laboratory equipment such as extraction vessels, heaters/chillers, ovens, balances, vacuum pumps, and other laboratory equipment.
- Operating extraction equipment to harvest terpene extracts and cannabinoid-containing extracts.
- Operating highly sophisticated purification equipment to convert crude oil into decarboxylated oil.
- Following procedures for extract purification including ethanol addition, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, decarboxylation, and distillation.
- Assisting with the development of further purification processes and in-process materials, including processes for new products.
- Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and preparing requisitions as needed, maintaining inventory within state-issued cannabis inventory software.

Job Qualification Requirements:

JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Processing Agent is an essential role for processing harvest materials. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience working in an operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience working in a food production or similar manufacturing environment. Candidates must be physically able to sit, stand and kneel for periods of time exceeding 4 hours.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Scheduling resources across multiple activities – deboning, sifting, grading, final trim, etc.
- Performing initial bulk QC Inspection of batches
- Reporting quality issues to Quality and Facility Director
- Creating and upkeeping daily performance log and continuous improvement board.
- Monitoring Dry Rooms, Cure Room, Processing space for appropriate temperature and humidity
- Entering harvest batches into ADP/POS system and appropriately inventorying batches
- Monitoring team's productivity and adhering to time metrics
- Biotrack/software adjustments, moves, and transfers
- Approving timecards and request off for agents in ADP
- Verifying the weighing and logging of material
- Maintaining a sanitary work environment and maintaining cleaning logs for all processing work stations.
- Review outlook emails for new priorities or assignments.
- Ensure that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance.

GENERAL JOB DUTIES
- Coordinate day-to-day processing scheduling with the Director of Processing.
- Assist the Director of Processing with editing, drafting and adherence to processing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist the Director of Processing with monitoring and adjusting daily environmental room settings throughout the curing and drying process.
- Lead a Processing team in post-harvest and/or Packaging production.
- Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly calibration of processing equipment and technology.
- Ensures any Jushi employee that is performing a processing task is properly trained prior to performing the task.
- Perform mechanical and hand bucking of cannabis biomass.
- Accurate weighing and labeling of biomass on racks and storage bins.
- Perform drying and curing duties as directed.
- Assemble primary, secondary or tertiary packaging for all Cannabis products.
- Perform primary, secondary and tertiary packaging of Cannabis products.
- Print and apply labels to finish packaged product.
- Responsible for light to medium maintenance of automated equipment including cleaning and preventative maintenance.
- Operate, maintain, and clean processing, packaging and labeling equipment.
- Data Entry and record keeping of all information pertinent to the traceability of medical cannabis.
- Able to work independently as well as operating as a team.
- Follow all site Safety requirements including use of PPE. Safety meetings as required.
- Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand.
- Conduct counts of packaging/labeling materials.
- Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency.
- Adheres to a rigorous production schedule and works to ensure product is processed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Adhere to strict sanitation practices throughout the facility

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least two years of experience in cultivation, production, packaging, contract packaging, or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent computer, mathematical, language and reasoning skills
- General computer ability
- Previous experience in medical cannabis industry (preferred)

Job Summary
The Processing Lead is responsible for properly weighing, tracking and inspecting all cannabis flower intended for packaging. They are also responsible for communicating and following through with the tasks assigned to the team by the Processing Manager. This position is an integral piece of the harvest, cure, and trim process at Ayr Wellness, focusing on effective teamwork, ensuring that all numbers are correctly reported in the state mandated inventory tracking system, and only the highest-quality, well-manicured cannabis flower is packaged for sale to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects and weighs cannabis flower, as well as unusable stems, stalks, and fan leaves for input into the inventory tracking system.
- Teaches and trains team members on the various tasks of the Processing department.
- Establishes focused and positive work culture for department while monitoring team productivity and efficiency, production quality, and uniformity.
- Drives efficiencies while meeting daily and weekly goals set by supervisors.
- Assists the Assistant Manager(s) with the hiring of new team members.
- Responsible for proper inventory and documentation of all products including waste.
- Ensures quality control post-harvest for a clean, seedless, pest and pathogen-free final product.
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness of all processing equipment/areas and sanitation practices concerning handling of product according to company procedures.
- Reports any instances of identifiable occurrence of mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to the Processing Manager.

The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will work within the Laboratory Department and report to the Laboratory Processing Supervisor. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will assist the Lab Manager by carrying out day-to-day tasks. It is expected that you will learn and be able to perform all tasks within the laboratory area.
Job Duties:
- Preparing for production by reviewing production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant materials and supplies for extraction.
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment; Processing concentrates and extracts
- Cleaning and maintaining extraction equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
- Operating, maintaining, adjusting, and repairing laboratory equipment such as extraction vessels, heaters/chillers, ovens, balances, vacuum pumps, and other laboratory equipment.
- Operating extraction equipment to harvest terpene extracts and cannabinoid-containing extracts.
- Operating highly sophisticated purification equipment to convert crude oil into decarboxylated oil.

JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Processing Agent is an essential role for processing harvest materials. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience working in an operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience working in a food production or similar manufacturing environment. Candidates must be physically able to sit, stand and kneel for periods of time exceeding 4 hours.
Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00pm-12:30am
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Scheduling resources across multiple activities – deboning, sifting, grading, final trim, etc.
- Performing initial bulk QC Inspection of batches
- Reporting quality issues to Quality and Facility Director
- Creating and upkeeping daily performance log and continuous improvement board.
- Monitoring Dry Rooms, Cure Room, Processing space for appropriate temperature and humidity
- Entering harvest batches into ADP/POS system and appropriately inventorying batches
- Monitoring team's productivity and adhering to time metrics
- Biotrack/software adjustments, moves, and transfers
- Approving timecards and request off for agents in ADP
- Verifying the weighing and logging of material
- Maintaining a sanitary work environment and maintaining cleaning logs for all processing work stations.
- Review outlook emails for new priorities or assignments.
- Ensure that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Implement established Parallel and Industry best practices for manufacturing therapeutic cannabis-based food products.
- Be responsible for daily duties related to manufacturing process of therapeutic cannabis-based food products.
- Maintain appropriate records related to quality control, production and process improvement.
- Assist in recommendations for scalable procedures as company grows.
- Assist in developing the edibles team to meet production and quality related goals.
- Assist Production leadership in labor and production planning.
- Provide direction and guidance regarding duties and responsibilities of Processing Technician I and II roles.
- Actively participate in training of both Technician I & II roles Work with both manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- Become subject matter expert for specific processes as assigned by the senior leadership.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
Required

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
Preferred
- Technical proficiency in MS Office, excellent communication skills, negotiation and sales skills, highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in manufacturing, processing, and packaging. Along with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Food manufacturing/preparation experience (Minimum 3 years prior experience)
- Must be a Florida Resident
- Experience in production environment preferred
- Familiarity with quality control, policy and procedure and documentation
- Travel as necessary (between locations)

Experienced Cannabis Processing Technician - Production Shift Lead for Daytime and Evening
Volta Biotech is a marijuana/hemp processing and refinement company. We can extract 80 pounds every 20 minutes with ethanol - possibly the biggest capacity in the state. On the marijuana side we sell bulk THC distillate (voltabiotech.com). We're in a new building that is well maintained and well lit with security cameras for 24 hour monitoring.
Our capacity is 3 to 4 liters per hour. All of our sales are already committed to customers at current capacity and we're planning to add to our capacity in the next few months. We have some designs for retail products of our own but will take time to formulate the product itself - our focus is on bulk distillate. We do cryo ethanol extraction, decarboxylation, distillation, sonication, and spray drying processes. We also have an analytical HPLC to help with product formulation and verifying plant potency from farmers.
We need production minded personnel to handle the day-to-day production processes after some training. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable on their feet working in the lab doing laboratory tasks most of the day. Familiarity with pumps, hoses, and connections is preferred. Cannabis experience is preferred. Comfortable on forklift is preferred.
The ideal candidate is an individual already experienced with cannabis processing, wants to work with larger equipment, and is excited to join our small 10 person team. Candidate must already be living in the Oklahoma City metro area to be eligible for this job.

Position Description: The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will report to the Laboratory Manager. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will be responsible for leading the Laboratory team, as well as monitor and maintain production in accordance with state cannabis regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration and decarboxylation.
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Accurately weighing materials and recording those weights
- Maintaining accurate records
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain inventory by performing conversions, adjustments, and transfers in seed-to-sale tracking systems
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to state guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis.
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
- Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
- Follows SOP's and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary.
- Washes, sterilizes, and restocks laboratory glassware.
- Performs clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, data collection and filing.
- Possess an understanding of scientific measurement, methods of measurement, units of measurement and cGMP data collection
- Maintain and record data in our seed-to-sale tracking software.
• Maintain clean extraction and laboratory environment which adhere to GLPs and GMPs. • Performs other related tasks as required by Management
Compliance:
- Ensure processing operation is fully compliant with state and federal regulations
- Maintain analytical and other laboratory waste with registered waste disposal company while following state regulations
- Maintaining material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products
- Assure that operation adheres to all business and industry license requirements
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory and documents production by completing forms, reports, logs and records
Education and Experience:
- College Degree preferred
- 1-2 years of laboratory and/or related hands-on experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft based programs
- Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
- Ability to troubleshoot process or equipment failures
- Ability to have detailed records, proper labeling, and data tracking
- Familiarity with chemical and laboratory safety

JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Processing Agent - Dry Cure is an essential role for processing harvest materials. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience working in an operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience working in a food production or similar manufacturing environment. Candidates must be physically able to sit, stand and kneel for periods of time exceeding 4 hours.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Scheduling resources across multiple activities – deboning, sifting, grading, final trim, etc.
- Performing initial bulk QC Inspection of batches
- Reporting quality issues to Quality and Facility Director
- Creating and upkeeping daily performance log and continuous improvement board.
- Monitoring Dry Rooms, Cure Room, Processing space for appropriate temperature and humidity
- Entering harvest batches into ADP/POS system and appropriately inventorying batches
- Monitoring team's productivity and adhering to time metrics
- Biotrack/software adjustments, moves, and transfers
- Approving timecards and request off for agents in ADP
- Verifying the weighing and logging of material
- Maintaining a sanitary work environment and maintaining cleaning logs for all processing work stations.
- Review outlook emails for new priorities or assignments.
- Ensure that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance.

Job Summary:
The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will report to the Laboratory Manager. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will be responsible for leading the Laboratory team, as well as monitor and maintain production in accordance with state cannabis regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration and decarboxylation.
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Accurately weighing materials and recording those weights
- Maintaining accurate records
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain inventory by performing conversions, adjustments, and transfers in seed-to-sale tracking systems
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to state guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis.
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
- Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
- Follows SOP's and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary.
- Washes, sterilizes, and restocks laboratory glassware.
- Performs clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, data collection and filing.
- Possess an understanding of scientific measurement, methods of measurement, units of measurement and cGMP data collection
- Maintain and record data in our seed-to-sale tracking software.
- Maintain clean extraction and laboratory environment which adhere to GLPs and GMPs.

Compliance:
- Ensure processing operation is fully compliant with state and federal regulations
- Maintain analytical and other laboratory waste with registered waste disposal company while following state regulations
- Maintaining material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products
- Assure that operation adheres to all business and industry license requirements
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory and documents production by completing forms, reports, logs and records
Education and Experience:
- College Degree preferred
- 1-2 years of laboratory and/or related hands-on experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft based programs

Job Summary
The Processing Lead is responsible for properly weighing, tracking and inspecting all cannabis flower intended for packaging. They are also responsible for communicating and following through with the tasks assigned to the team by the Processing Manager. This position is an integral piece of the harvest, cure, and trim process at Ayr Wellness, focusing on effective teamwork, ensuring that all numbers are correctly reported in the state mandated inventory tracking system, and only the highest-quality, well-manicured cannabis flower is packaged for sale to our customers.

- Inspects and weighs cannabis flower, as well as unusable stems, stalks, and fan leaves for input into the inventory tracking system.
- Teaches and trains team members on the various tasks of the Processing department.
- Establishes focused and positive work culture for department while monitoring team productivity and efficiency, production quality, and uniformity.
- Drives efficiencies while meeting daily and weekly goals set by supervisors.
- Assists the Assistant Manager(s) with the hiring of new team members.
- Responsible for proper inventory and documentation of all products including waste.
- Ensures quality control post-harvest for a clean, seedless, pest and pathogen-free final product.
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness of all processing equipment/areas and sanitation practices concerning handling of product according to company procedures.
- Reports any instances of identifiable occurrence of mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to the Processing Manager.
- Fosters a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis”.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in processing/trimming cannabis, have an understanding of the differences in flower structure among multiple cultivars, and work at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail. The Processing Lead will be reporting to the Processing Manager for all daily tasks.
Responsibilities include:
Setup processing room at beginning of day - ensure stock of all tools/materials (gloves, bins, trim trays, trash bags, isopropyl alcohol, and microfiber towels)
Collect all processed flower into bin with package tag, input accurate data entry of bin/flower weights and package Metrc tags following the SOP
Collect and dispose of all greenwaste from technicians throughout the day
Quality control checks of flowers being processed, ensuring technicians are processing for the correct product type - following the SOP for appropriate flower size, trichome coverage, and handling of plants
Train employees on trim technique to optimize efficiency and maintain trichome integrity
Place packaged bins in walk-in freezer, organize bins(grouping per cultivar and harvest group) for manufacturing
Following strict biosecurity protocols, maintaining sanitation of tools and person
Ensuring Metrc tags are removed from individual plants, labeled, and stored for compliance according to the SOP
Effective communication with the Processing Manager/Supervisor - regarding labor needs, workflow management, materials/supplies, employee issues/complaints
Standing/squatting/sitting with arms extended for long periods of time
Any other task assigned by the Processing Manager
Pay range: $21.00 - $22.00/hour

- MED Badge required

GENERAL JOB DUTIES
- Coordinate day-to-day processing scheduling with the Director of Processing.
- Assist the Director of Processing with editing, drafting and adherence to processing Standard Operating Procedures.

The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will work within the Laboratory Department and report to the Laboratory Processing Supervisor. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will assist the Lab Manager by carrying out day-to-day tasks. It is expected that you will learn and be able to perform all tasks within the laboratory area.
Job Duties:
- Preparing for production by reviewing production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant materials and supplies for extraction.
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment; Processing concentrates and extracts
- Cleaning and maintaining extraction equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
- Operating, maintaining, adjusting, and repairing laboratory equipment such as extraction vessels, heaters/chillers, ovens, balances, vacuum pumps, and other laboratory equipment.
- Operating extraction equipment to harvest terpene extracts and cannabinoid-containing extracts.
- Operating highly sophisticated purification equipment to convert crude oil into decarboxylated oil.
- Following procedures for extract purification including ethanol addition, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, decarboxylation, and distillation.
- Assisting with the development of further purification processes and in-process materials, including processes for new products.
- Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and preparing requisitions as needed, maintaining inventory within state-issued cannabis inventory software.
- Storing supplies and equipment, disposing of waste according to state guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate.
- Washing and sanitizing laboratory glassware.

Job Qualification Requirements:
- Associates Degree with 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting preferred

Job Skills:
- Knowledge of and hands on experience with Supercritical Extraction and Rotary Evaporation desired

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Performs physical harvest of mature flower in scheduled rooms while adhering to weekly production requirements.
- Maintains separation of different strains, chain of custody records, seed to sale records & compliance protocols.

Position Description: The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will report to the Laboratory Manager. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will be responsible for leading the Laboratory team, as well as monitor and maintain production in accordance with state cannabis regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration and decarboxylation.
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Accurately weighing materials and recording those weights
- Maintaining accurate records
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain inventory by performing conversions, adjustments, and transfers in seed-to-sale tracking systems
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to state guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis.
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization

The Lead Processing Agent is an essential role for processing harvest materials. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience working in an operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience working in a food production or similar manufacturing environment. Candidates must be physically able to sit, stand and kneel for periods of time exceeding 4 hours.

- Scheduling resources across multiple activities – deboning, sifting, grading, final trim, etc.
- Performing initial bulk QC Inspection of batches
- Reporting quality issues to Quality and Facility Director
- Creating and upkeeping daily performance log and continuous improvement board.
- Monitoring Dry Rooms, Cure Room, Processing space for appropriate temperature and humidity
- Entering harvest batches into ADP/POS system and appropriately inventorying batches
- Monitoring team's productivity and adhering to time metrics
- Biotrack/software adjustments, moves, and transfers
- Approving timecards and request off for agents in ADP
- Verifying the weighing and logging of material
- Maintaining a sanitary work environment and maintaining cleaning logs for all processing work stations.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting the Processing Supervisor with QC'ing manicured product from the trimming team. The Processing Lead is also responsible for tracking finished product, unworkable flower, usable by-product (trim), and un-usable by-product (waste) according to company policy and practices, as well as state and local laws and regulations.
CORE JOB DUTIES
Number one responsibility: Quality Control – Focusing on QC'ing trimmer's product efficiently with a goal of 3-5 minutes per.
Ensuring trimmers maintain appropriate manicuring techniques based upon variances in strain, styles, and types of flowers
Separate and track: bucked material, product, usable by-products and waste.
Identify various types of mold and systemic diseases and adjust processes to mitigate issue.
Identify light burn, nutrient burn, pest damage, and any other product abnormalities and communicating these issues with the team, inventory and Supervisor/Manager.
Accurately record weights and documentation at various points of production phases, including time records
Comply with organization policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, sanitization procedures, etc..
Contribute ideas, research, evaluate, and adapt new methods/techniques to meet or exceed production goals
Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the work room while performing duties as well as managing the end-of day clean-up process for the team
Provide as needed fill-in coverage as needed for Supervisors and Manager including overseeing operations within the room assigned, assisting with QC, and weigh-ins.
Any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Attention to detail and accuracy specifically related to tracking and documenting daily production numbers

Volta Biotech is a marijuana/cbd processing and refinement company. We can process 80 pounds every 20 minutes with food grade ethanol - possibly the biggest capacity in the state. We sell bulk CBD oil and water soluble ingredients to end-formulators nationwide and have our own product line of vape cartridges, dose controlled vaporizers, and water soluble powder to be sold on Amazon. We are cashless and all transactions occur on our websites.
Our main focus for the next 30 days is to get our electrical installed, our equipment functioning, and formulate our products, then increase production as demand for our products grow.
We're looking for two passionate and professional people to fill two laboratory positions. We need one of the hires to be the processing lead responsible for managing, operating, and reporting on, a state-of-the-art, compliant, extraction/processing facility and HAS experience in a position like this. We are looking for a highly dedicated individual who is self-driven, excellent communicator, who has extensive experience with being a cannabis processor, and who has extensive knowledge of the cannabis industry. The other chemist should have chromatography experience.
Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related Chemistry field experience preferred.
Prior GMP production experience preferred.
Previous experience in cannabis field preferred.

- Scheduling resources across multiple activities – deboning, sifting, grading, final trim, etc.
- Performing initial bulk QC Inspection of batches
- Reporting quality issues to Quality and Facility Director
- Creating and upkeeping daily performance log and continuous improvement board.
- Monitoring Dry Rooms, Cure Room, Processing space for appropriate temperature and humidity
- Entering harvest batches into ADP/POS system and appropriately inventorying batches
- Monitoring team's productivity and adhering to time metrics
- Biotrack/software adjustments, moves, and transfers
- Approving timecards and request off for agents in ADP
- Verifying the weighing and logging of material
- Maintaining a sanitary work environment and maintaining cleaning logs for all processing work stations.
- Review outlook emails for new priorities or assignments.
- Ensure that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance.

As a Prep/Processing Lead you will be acting as a working lead to assist in production of all packaged cannabis products. In this role you will perform various warehouse and production line functions to support the processing and packaging of these products.
Responsibilities Include:
- Effectively overseeing personnel to ensure tasks are being accomplished efficiently, in accordance with the company procedures, local, state, and federal regulations
- Assisting in the production on all packing lines while ensuring the productivity of production goals/requirements are being met
- Maintaining a safe, clean working environment that adheres to the company’s safety program to ensure quality of product is being met
- Compiling end of day manufacturing data, recording and reviewing work orders, monitoring/tracking inventory needs for the department
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate others to work efficiently and positively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented
- Basic arithmetic, documenting, reporting, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient knowledge of production equipment setup, clean out, and problem-solving techniques
