Under the direction and supervision of the Assistant Director for Health Promotion, the ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs) Prevention Specialist will facilitate administration of Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students (BASICS) and Cannabis Screening and Intervention for College Students (CASICS). The ATOD Prevention Specialist will assist with developing, implementing, and assessing health promotion and education programs that are focused on ATOD issues. They will collaborate with colleagues in the Division of Student Affairs and Dean of Students Office to help develop, recommend, and implement educational sanctions and interventions for students found in violation of university alcohol and other drug policies. This position also helps to maintain a tobacco-free campus by providing education and information to students, so they can make informed decisions regarding their health.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate BASICS and CASICS administration, including providing direct services to students focused on harm reduction strategies, basic motivational interviewing, or other behavioral interventions to support students in their awareness of alcohol and other drugs.
- Engage with partnerships with other departments to facilitate the resolution of student conduct cases; make referrals to other on and off campus resources.
- Plan and implement alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs’ awareness programs and campaigns including but not limited to Peers Against Tobacco (PAT) and U in the Driver Seat (UDS).
- Responsible for goal setting, data collection, data analysis, and report writing as it relates to ATOD.
- Serve as main representative on the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) Committee.
- Responds to media inquiries regarding ATOD policies and programming.
- Create and maintain partnerships across campus and in the community; participates in committees, as needed.
- Attend Health Promotion staff and Peer Health Educator meetings.
- Supports Health Promotion events, outreach, and activities as needed; provide administrative support such as ordering materials, maintaining educational resources, and scheduling rooms for events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Health Sciences, or related fields.
- One to two (1-2 )years’ experience in community outreach, program design, or program implementation.
- Experience with alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs prevention training or advising.
- Demonstrated skills in a variety of educational methods including facilitation of presentations, workshops, and trainings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Effectively process and forward information from incoming calls.
- Manage all access control requests to include activation and deactivation of profiles, issuing parking passes and temp visitor access
- Monitor building/fire alarms and panic alarm activation to ensure proper response and/or dispatching along with Police liaison

Reporting to the Asset Protection Officer, the primary responsibility of the Loss Prevention Specialist is to investigate and interview staff about possible shrinkage events. This role is responsible for monitoring digital CCTV system of retail and manufacturing facilities throughout Nevada and searching for anomalous activities that could or has led to product shrink.

Job Summary
Sunderstorm is looking for an Event Specialist to become a core member of our demo and marketing team. This position will support the sales and marketing team to help promote our brand. You must have a strong desire to dive into the weeds with our company and become an expert in our products, brand, and ethos. You must have a strong desire to represent our brand and show customers how each product is unique, and that there is something for everyone. You must be ultra-positive, have strong will power, thick skin, self-management skills, and be a go-getter!
Duties/Responsibilities
Participate in in-depth product and company training with the Sales Rep of the respective territory.
Schedule themselves and run demos (or Patient Appreciation Days) with our retail partners ? at least 8 or more demos per week.
Conduct general Sales Support (ex. Deliver merchandise, food, new product samples, and swag to our retail partners and budtenders).
Communicate to your team lead when your demos are scheduled, and what you are learning from each one RE customer feedback or promotional tactics.
Calendarize all your demos on the team demo calendar, and report back to the sales rep in your territory how things are going.
Exercise strong communication with your Manager regarding how things are going, and what your needs are (ex. equipment, schwag, samples, etc.)
Requirements

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Program Director/Team Supervisor, the Youth Prevention Specialist implements the substance use environmental prevention work plan and activities. The Prevention Specialist is also responsible for collecting the data needed for program evaluation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement the social norm changing activities to decrease favorable API and Latinx community attitudes toward underage and binge drinking, and youth cannabis access including the coordination of the activities of the “Safe & Sober Prevention Community Council” and the merchant education and training programs in the target API and Latinx communities.
- Conduct preventive workshop groups on alcohol and cannabis awareness and education with API and Latinx youth and parents in the target API and Latinx communities.
- Provide “Safe & Sober” youth media awareness and counter advertisement training to the youth in the target API and Latinx communities.
- Provide high-risk API and Latinx youth in the target communities with case management services.
- Plan and implement large scale and positive events, including, but not limited to, “San Gabriel Valley Youth Summit” and “Got Skills” substance-free events.
- Coordinates and assists in the implementation of the substance abuse prevention initiatives of the “San Gabriel Valley Alcohol and Other Drugs Prevention & Policy Youth Council.”
- Conduct outreach and educational activities to API and Latinx youth and families in the target communities on empowerment and activism based Youth IMPACT leadership curriculum.
- Maintain secure, accurate and complete record-keeping system that documents the youth cannabis prevention activities as required by Elevate Youth and Youth IMPACT Program.
- Attend and participate in all relevant Community Prevention Council and other community substance abuse prevention efforts as part of community engagement.
- Assist in building relationships with local schools, other community based organizations, youth groups, and youth-led organizations to drive efforts in capacity building.
- Assist Program Evaluator and Elevate Youth CA in program data collection.
Position SpecificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited College or University in human services or substance abuse is required or experience specifications described below is required without a Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: Three years of working experience with youth, young adults and parents in school, counseling, community organizing, delivery of conflict resolution on, peer refusal and prosocial social skills and leadership development, and/or youth substance use prevention is required without a Bachelor’s Degree.
Skills: Effective interactive workshop and small group presentation and communication (verbal, written, listening) skills; culturally informed community outreach and organization skills; creative problem solving ability; effective verbal and written communication skills, bilingual skills in API language (especially Chinese and/or Vietnamese) speaking and writing ability desired; basic knowledge of local public policies relative to cannabis; working knowledge of the strengthening families model and protective factors in youth substance use prevention; ability to demonstrate advocacy skills with youth and parents when appropriate; ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment; ability to work effectively with diverse youth and family and amongst a diverse staff.
Driving: Must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record under the Clinics' liability policy.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Asset Protection Officer, the primary responsibility of the Loss Prevention Specialist is to investigate and interview staff about possible shrinkage events. This role is responsible for monitoring digital CCTV system of retail and manufacturing facilities throughout Nevada and searching for anomalous activities that could or has led to product shrink.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct digital video surveillance of multiple locations- Understand camera layouts and be able to follow suspicious persons or vehicles around properties
- Study camera footage watching customers and employees
- Conduct reviews as assigned
- Investigate product loss
- Ability to detect shrink and fraud, taking appropriate actions to protect products/cash and prevent further losses
- Write and record statements
- Download video, photographic, and audio evidence as evidence corroborating any investigative reports
- Write detailed reports on incidents including investigation process, timelines of events to include time, camera, and type of incident observed and proof in findings
- Analyze product transactions searching for anomalous activity, utilizing exception-based reporting to identify areas of loss or shrink opportunities
- Performs audits of non-priority areas
- Promotes and monitors the confidential treatment of all relevant information
- Report findings regularly to Manager and Director

Job Summary
Reporting to the Asset Protection Officer, the primary responsibility of the Loss Prevention Specialist is to investigate and interview staff about possible shrinkage events. This role is responsible for monitoring digital CCTV system of retail and manufacturing facilities throughout Nevada and searching for anomalous activities that could or has led to product shrink.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct digital video surveillance of multiple locations- Understand camera layouts and be able to follow suspicious persons or vehicles around properties
- Study camera footage watching customers and employees
- Conduct reviews as assigned
- Investigate product loss
- Ability to detect shrink and fraud, taking appropriate actions to protect products/cash and prevent further losses
- Write and record statements
- Download video, photographic, and audio evidence as evidence corroborating any investigative reports

Job Summary
Reporting to the Asset Protection Officer, the primary responsibility of the Loss Prevention Specialist is to investigate and interview staff about possible shrinkage events. This role is responsible for monitoring digital CCTV system of retail and manufacturing facilities throughout Nevada and searching for anomalous activities that could or has led to product shrink.

- Participate in in-depth product and company training with the Sales Rep of the respective territory.
- Schedule themselves and run demos (or Patient Appreciation Days) with our retail partners – at least 8 or more demos per week.
- Conduct general Sales Support (ex. Deliver merchandise, food, new product samples, and swag to our retail partners and budtenders).
- Communicate to your team lead when your demos are scheduled, and what you are learning from each one RE customer feedback or promotional tactics.
- Calendarize all your demos on the team demo calendar, and report back to the sales rep in your territory how things are going.
- Exercise strong communication with your Manager regarding how things are going, and what your needs are (ex. equipment, schwag, samples, etc.)
Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree in public health, human services, social work, communications or related field is required. Knowledge of substance use/misuse prevention and mental health promotion strongly preferred.
Critical thinking, excellent oral and written communication, and project coordination skills required. Demonstrated experience in prevention working with youth, adults, and diverse populations in a culturally responsive and respectful manner is preferred. Working knowledge of relevant software and experience with Microsoft Office applications is required. Excellent communication and documentation skills, attention to detail, and time management skills are also required. Experience with social media and marketing strongly preferred.
Must hold a valid driver’s license. The position requires periodically driving the resource van to disseminate prevention materials at various events. Must be able to work flexible work schedule, including weekends and evenings.

The Prevention Specialist for the Cannabis Awareness campaign will primarily develop prevention messaging and information dissemination strategies related to the risks of cannabis use by youth. The Prevention Specialist coordinates statewide and local prevention and health promotion campaigns and initiatives. The Prevention Specialist has a highly visible role and works in close partnership with state and local funders, school leadership, community providers and community coalitions to select, design, and implement a broad spectrum of strategies to address the substance use prevention and health promotion needs of the state and community. The Prevention Specialist has shared responsibilities of daily library operations and supporting various projects of the Connecticut Center for Prevention, Wellness & Recovery at Wheeler Clinic. The Prevention Specialist works independently under the direction of the Program Manager and exhibits a high level of critical thinking, judgment, and decision making. The Prevention Specialist coordinates and may occasionally conduct training sessions, conferences, and other professional development events on current topics or trends in the prevention field.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree in public health, communications, human services, social work, education, or related field is required. Knowledge of substance use/misuse prevention and mental health promotion strongly preferred.
Critical thinking, excellent oral and written communication, and project coordination skills required. Demonstrated experience in prevention working with youth, adults, and diverse populations in a culturally responsive and respectful manner is preferred. Working knowledge of relevant software and experience with Microsoft Office applications is required. Excellent communication and documentation skills, attention to detail, and time management skills are also required. Experience with social media and marketing strongly preferred.
Must hold a valid driver’s license. The position requires periodically driving the resource van to disseminate prevention materials at various events. Must be able to work flexible work schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Credential(s) Required: Must have, be working on, or willing to acquire prevention professional certification.

Summary: Under the direction of the Prevention Education Coordinator, the Prevention Specialist is responsible for cannabis
and tobacco preventions services on a day-to-day basis. Performance is reviewed on a continuous basis with specific goals
and objectives identified throughout the year. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, working 40 hours a week. Typical
schedule is 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM with a one hour lunch, but can vary based on program and community needs; some weekend
shifts are required. This position is expected to be in-person, but can be remote depending on program needs. This position
is expected to end November 30, 2022. *Full COVID-19 Vaccination is required per contract requirements.
Duties / Responsibilities:
• Provide program facilitation and implementation by:
o Facilitating and implementing campaign activities that encompass all stages of organizing including, but not limited to:
asset mapping, action plan development and implementation, and on-going evaluation for the Westlake/MacArthur
Park community. 
Activities will also include community education and enrichment activities, presentations, community events,
and mobilizing community support towards a smoke-free policy campaign.
o Assisting in research and policy analysis on the current impact of secondhand smoke and tobacco and cannabis use
among residents in public places such as parks.
o Assisting in the recruitment, implementation, and facilitation of a youth coalition and a community advisory group.
o Establishing an ongoing working relationship with community-based organizations, schools, parents, young adults,
and youth.
o Communicating and engaging with stakeholders, media and local elected officials for the policy campaign.
o Disseminating campaign, agency, and tobacco and cannabis cessation resources and information to community
organizations, partners, and the public.
o Ensuring that strategies are culturally appropriate and ethical.
o Supporting the collection and coordination of evaluation activities with the Prevention Coordinator and Project
Evaluator.
o Developing print and media educational and promotional materials.
o Supporting and preparing documentation including quarterly progress reports.
o Assisting with the development, negotiation, and management of contracts and grants.
o Assisting with grant writing to develop new programs and to enhance existing programs.

Summary: Under the direction of the Prevention Education Coordinator, the Prevention Specialist is responsible for cannabis and tobacco preventions services on a day-to-day basis. Performance is reviewed on a continuous basis with specific goals and objectives identified throughout the year. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, working 40 hours a week. Typical schedule is 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM with a one hour lunch, but can vary based on program and community needs; some weekend shifts are required. This position is expected to be in-person, but can be remote depending on program needs. Duties / Responsibilities:
- Provide program facilitation and implementation by:
- Facilitating and implementing campaign activities that encompass all stages of organizing including, but not limited to: asset mapping, action plan development and implementation, and on-going evaluation for the Westlake/MacArthur Park community.
- Activities will also include community education and enrichment activities, presentations, community events, and mobilizing community support towards a smoke-free policy campaign.
- Assisting in research and policy analysis on the current impact of secondhand smoke and tobacco and cannabis use among residents in public places such as parks.
- Assisting in the recruitment, implementation, and facilitation of a youth coalition and a community advisory group.
- Establishing an ongoing working relationship with community-based organizations, schools, parents, young adults, and youth.
- Communicating and engaging with stakeholders, media and local elected officials for the policy campaign.
- Disseminating campaign, agency, and tobacco and cannabis cessation resources and information to community organizations, partners, and the public.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Public Policy, and/or social sciences from an accredited college or university–OR- two(2) years full-time experience working in the fields of public health, public policy and/or community organizing/advocacy.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

We’re looking to add a bright, enthusiastic team player with experience in event planning and coordination to help us get involved with the many external event opportunities about to open up.

Are you looking to being an integral part of public safety in the City of Richmond? This position is a paraprofessional civilian class in which incumbents will be assigned to the Administrative Bureau of the Police Department, typically working with the Crime Prevention and Community Relations Unit. Incumbents are responsible for the planning, implementing, and monitoring of Community Relations and Crime Prevention programs and projects.
The total potential annual compensation for this position is $105,136.97, which includes salary at the top step, City-paid medical, vision, and dental, and the City's 13.422% contribution to CalPERS.

Due to the sensitivity of the work performed, the Crime Prevention Specialists will be required to attend periodic workshops and training sessions to ensure they remain current on the laws, rules, regulations, practices, and procedures applicable to the programs they administer.
Position Description and Duties
Coordinates various community-directed self-help and crime prevention programs and activities which may include Neighborhood Watch, D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), PAL, Ride-A-Long, Christmas, and Child Fingerprinting. Utilizes computer-aided dispatch system to run review prior to police reports for program screening purposes; performs light typing, filing, and logging of information.
Responds to correspondence from Crime Victim's Programs and citizens inquiries regarding crime prevention and other related information, and corresponds with crime victims and relatives of crime victims to describe available benefits to which they may be entitled. Attends and conducts meetings with community groups in an effort to increase community awareness and reduce the incidence of crime utilizing the A.R.E.S. Robot. Mediates neighborhood disputes where there is a concern of violence and reviews and records various complaints from the public on community relations type problems.
Schedules crime prevention presentations for schools, businesses, or organizations. Screens requests, conducts interviews, reviews police reports and makes referrals to outside social service agencies, and determines eligibility for the Victims of Violent Crimes Program. Conducts tours of the Police Department and acts as department liaison with various Community Groups, such as the Ministerial Alliance and neighborhood councils. Makes daily court runs to pick up and deliver criminal documents and performs court liaison tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of:
Procedures of police work, state laws, City ordinances, Penal/Municipal codes, and the City's geography.
Ability to:

Experience/Education Requirements:
Education: Education equivalent to graduation from high school possession of a G.E.D. certificate and two years of paid experience in a position involving public contact with responsibility for answering both telephone and personal inquiries preferably in law enforcement or social service setting.
License Requirement:
Possession of a valid California Driver's License by the date of appointment.
Physical Requirements:
In addition to the requirements listed above this classification requires sufficient mobility to work in a typical office setting, a vision sufficient to read printed materials, and a hearing and speech sufficient to exchange information with individuals from various ethnic and socio-economic groups in person and over the telephone. Duties also require sufficient mobility to attend meetings, prolonged sitting motion; walking, kneeling, squatting, and stooping.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Recent and direct experience working in a communications position within marketing.

This is a dual role. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working alone in the field hosting various promotional events in the local community, AND also at times providing excellent customer service in our retail dispensaries. Prior Medical Marijuana or dispensary experience is desired but not required. Training will be provided to selected candidates.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and host various events in the local community
- Participate in larger regional events as needed
- Educate event attendees (patients and physicians) regarding the benefits of our products
- Must be self-motivated and able to manage time effectively
- Must be personable, extroverted, outgoing, and high-energy as the role interacts with multiple departments as well as patients and physicians.
- Greet and Check-in customers as they enter
- Verification of customer ID and cannabis card status
- Discuss and make appropriate product recommendations to customers based on their physician’s recommendation
- Access and properly utilize the state’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR) in dispensing product to customers
- Dispense medication and collect payment via POS register (cash, debit, etc)
- Maintain strict controls on product, cash, and patient data at all times
- Stay current with latest industry and product knowledge
- Support all marketing and sales efforts of the company to ensure sales goals are met
- Perform other regular duties related to maintaining a safe and clean retail store environment as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of prior medical/wellness or related sales experience, or other medical/health services-related experience involving direct patient/customer interaction, or high-end/specialty retail experience
- High school diploma, however a college degree in a relevant field is highly preferred
Training will be provided to selected candidates. No prior Medical Marijuana or dispensary experience is needed.
