**This position requires part-time | night and weekend availability!**
Our ideal Cannabis Advisor has a positive upbeat attitude and a desire to help people find the best product for their needs. A background in retail and hospitality is highly preferred (1-2 years), but customer service experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Possess a positive attitude while greeting customers and patients
- Be an advocate of cannabis customer care
- Help customers and patients navigate through cannabis and educate them on how it can be used as a wellness product
- Build rapport with regular patients/customers to promote repeat business
- Work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment

Position Title: Head Grower
Job Overview
Head Growers (HG) are responsible for managing the crop science and on time production of greenhouse crops. Product must be ready on schedule and meet Clesen Wholesale quality standards. The HG will participate in seasonal speculation planning, maintain crop production plans, and manage space utilization. The HG will comply with the department budget by optimizing young plant propagation and automation. The HG is also responsible for Growing staff oversight, management, and development.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Crop Science. Follow established grow plans and help create best practices for crop sciences. Identify crop specific best practices. Oversee spacing, pinching and moving plants, as necessary. The HG will scout crops, schedule chemical applications, and maintain IPM records in accordance with state and federal laws. Ensure environmental controls and automated systems are functioning as desired.
2. Produce quality crops on ready date. The HG will complete product status walks to manage availability and monitor crop quality and resolve or escalate any concerns. Identify issues and develop effective solutions to crop problems. Capture cultural notes and implemented improvements.
3. Young Plant Propagation. Optimize production input costs by identifying crops to propagate in house and selecting cost-effective input sizes.
4. Crop planning. Participate in the seasonal speculation planning process. Create, implement, and maintain crop production plans.
5. Growing automation. Program all environmental controls and ensure compliance with environmental best practices. Identify and implement automation to increase efficiencies in growing and production.
6. Effective management. Hire growing staff to support the labor needs of the department. Identify weekly workloads for facilities and schedule employees with accurate staffing forecasts to maintain crop quality. Monitor and enforce policies on start/end times, payroll procedures, and other workforce rules.
Qualifications
- 5 years working with ornamental plants and greenhouse crop production.
- 3 years’ experience working in manufacturing, preferred.
- Proven ability to understand goals, strategies and direction and translate these into action for staff in individual assignments and directives.
- Experience in selecting and onboarding staff. Can identify and recruit strong talent. Has experience setting up a strong onboarding process to provide consistent experience across positions and locations.
- Adept at using ERP system to drive work and priorities. Uses metrics in work to establish and monitor goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Prevention Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating drug prevention programs. Specifically, the Prevention Specialist will:
- Teach Too Good for Drugs middle school curriculum
- Collaborate with youth, school personnel, youth agency providers, and parent groups
- Develop and implement a social marketing campaign for high school youth and school staff
- Utilize marketing campaigns for both high school students (alcohol focused) and parents (cannabis focused) as provided by the Illinois Department of Human Services
- Collaborate with school stuff in leading a youth advisory committee
- Develop educational materials for parents
- Utilize data to develop and evaluate programs
- Design and deliver community trainings on essential prevention topics
- Program implementation, fulfilling and reporting per state and federal grant guidelines
- Actively participate with area substance use prevention coalitions
- Support prevention staff, community organizations, and coalitions in implementing prevention best practices
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend and/or facilitate meetings
- Plan/facilitate educational sessions for parents, teachers, and community group
- Attend training in evidence-based drug prevention strategies in Chicago, and occasionally Springfield or Champaign, Illinois or nationwide
- Other job-related duties as assigned
ABILITIES

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors or Masters in Public Health, Health Education, or Social Work preferred
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Preference will be given to individuals who have worked directly with adolescents for 2+ years. Knowledge and/or experience about addiction, substance use interventions, and prevention.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Office, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher
- Graphic design or other artistic background
- Basic knowledge of alcohol and other drug pharmacology
- Familiarity or experience working with schools or communities
Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
Access to a car is required.

Responsibilities
- Possess a positive attitude while greeting customers and patients
- Be an advocate of cannabis customer care
- Help customers and patients navigate through cannabis and educate them on how it can be used as a wellness product
- Build rapport with regular patients/customers to promote repeat business
- Work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment
- Provide patients and customers alike with information on types, methods and efficacy of various cannabis products (we do not provide medical advice)
- Be open to continued, on-going cannabis education and training
- Provide support to managers and other Cannabis Consultants as needed
- Maintain a clean, organize, and sanitize workstation/store front

- Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations

The Part-Time Special Assistant will provide direct support to the CEO while handling a variety of complex situations and has the discretion to problem solve issues independently. Responsibilities:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for the following:
- Manage CEO access. Manage access by others, modify schedule, and ensure the CEO is made aware of issues that need immediate attention.
- Maintain calendar and meeting scheduling/coordination. Manage CEO calendar and requests for meetings. Ensure all meeting requests have an agenda with clear outcomes. Maintain meeting cadence and progress. Add, remove, and reschedule meetings and tasks as needed. Arrange for location and distribute materials in advance.
- Document actions and manage accountabilities. Distributes meeting agenda and requests prior to meetings to participants. Attend meetings and take minutes; facilitate next steps. Distribute follow up task assignments and other commitments from meetings on a timely basis. Store documents and follow up on items as needed.
- Support Project Execution. Track all CEO projects and commitments. Help maintain momentum by assisting with completing tasks or managing project progress.
- MS Office document management. Complete reasonably complex Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents with minimal supervision. Proofread materials for CEO, organize and maintain files. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Business trip/ travel coordination. Coordinate registration, travel and communications for all business trip participants. Some scheduling of CEO personal travel included.
- Expense reporting. Submit CEO’s monthly expense reports with accurate GL coding and follow through on expense reimbursements as needed.
- Company events. Coordinate periodic company-wide events and celebrations. Arrange for food, agenda, and other elements with input from others.
- Additional administrative support. Provide CEO support for office/supplies purchases, business meals/meetings logistics/food, and other support as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 4-5 years experience in a similar role supporting executive management and/or overall office workflow/operations delivery
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and Outlook. Social media skills a plus.
- Experience in working in ERP and other database tools preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Self-starting and self-sufficient with an ability to multitask in a dynamic environment without being easily overwhelmed.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable collaborating with all levels of the organization.
- Curious and able to assimilate information quickly.
- Has ability to anticipate and act upon short-term needs and long-term organizational goals—always thinking a step or two ahead.
- Spanish language fluency a plus.

MedMen Evanston is growing, and we are looking to add passionate, customer service focused talent to our store! The Cannabis Consultant is responsible for providing exceptional individualized customer service, educational consulting, and in some cases patient record management.
Our ideal Cannabis Consultant has a positive upbeat attitude and a desire to help people find the best product for their needs. A background in retail and hospitality is highly preferred (1-2 years), but customer service experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Possess a positive attitude while greeting customers and patients
- Be an advocate of cannabis customer care
- Help customers and patients navigate through cannabis and educate them on how it can be used as a wellness product
- Build rapport with regular patients/customers to promote repeat business
- Work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment
- Provide patients and customers alike with information on types, methods and efficacy of various cannabis products (we do not provide medical advice)
- Be open to continued, on-going cannabis education and training
- Provide support to managers and other Cannabis Consultants as needed
- Maintain a clean, organize, and sanitize workstation/store front
- Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up
- Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws
- Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory
- Complete transactions at the POS and ensure the state monitored inventory system (METRC, BioTrack, etc.) accurately updates the amount of product available
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience
- Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations
- Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging (as directed by state ordinances)
- Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods
- Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software i.e. Word, Excel, email, etc.
- Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations
Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 20 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. Job Summary
The Retail General Manager is responsible for leading through MedMen's mission, vision, and values in order to develop a high-performing team that consistently delivers top-line sales growth. The Retail General Manager leads a team of assistant managers and is accountable for all aspects of managing a single retail store as well as all other projects and duties assigned.
This leader drives business through a Division of Responsibility focus on Hospitality ("showtime" sales training, product knowledge, loyalty and leadership development), People (talent acquisition, training and development) Product (visual presentation, product performance and promotions), and Operations (ingestion of product, policy and procedures, expense control, compliance, and loss prevention). This position requires a passion for process excellence, a drive for results, and the ability to lead and influence.
The Retail General Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial success of the store and has full P&L responsibility. The GM is responsible for responding to business needs and strategizing around business trends in order to drive profitable top line sales growth. The General Manager must also have experience in assessing, recruiting and screening talent.

Performance
- Meet or exceed goals related to total store sales, profitability, and operational excellence.
- Forecast and adjust payroll to maximize productivity, achieve sales & payroll goals, and complete workload.
- Build a team that embodies the MM brand by delivering exceptional service and driving customer loyalty, therefore, increasing return visits.
- Review and interpret financial and operational reporting regularly, including store visit and audit results.
- Identify under-performing metrics and develop strategies that leverage company programs, tools, and resources to improve and grow the business.
People
- Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent.
- Create and ensure a cohesive work environment.
- Place the right people in the right roles, specifically the management DOR program.
- Train, coach, and develop direct reports using company programs, tools, and resources.
- Create an environment that inspires and encourages the growth and engagement of associates.
- Model a culture of open communication by sharing enterprise strategy and corporate messaging to associates.
- Promote a culture of teamwork by working alongside the management team, establishing priorities, and providing clear direction.
Operations:
- Be knowledgeable of, and ensure compliance with MedMen policies, procedures, and standards.
- Use the company's scheduling tool as directed to schedule the right associates, in the right places, at the right times in order to provide an exceptional guest experience, reduce loss, and execute company directives.
- Use the company's task management tool as directed to prioritize the execution of store workload, ensuring full leadership adoption and compliance with company policy.
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention.
- Support continuous improvement by implementing company programs and influencing end-users buy in.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- 5 years of managerial experience
- 4 years of experience in the retail industry customer-eccentric approach
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
- Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams
- Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Demonstrated ability to achieve individual selling goals and metrics
- Must have a dependable car or public transportation alternative
- Proven ability to drive sales results, able to analyze selling reports, identify business trends and react quickly to the needs of the business
- Comfort in making decisions and mediating conflict within a team environment
- Ability to address complex issues and allocate time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to identify top talent and train/develop/retain great people.
- Proficient in windows - based software such as Excel, Word and Outlook
Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of each DOR department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires a flex schedule, long hours, nights, weekend work and holiday availability.
Physical Requirements
Ability to bend, lift, open and move product and fixtures up to 50 lbs., as needed. Ability to climb step stools and ladders. Ability to stand/walk for long periods at a time. Possess manual dexterity and hand - eye coordination. Ability to travel to other store locations (if needed) and attend district meetings.
Travel Requirements
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some store-to-store travel may be expected.
