Loss Prevention Specialist
SUMMARY: Bosim 1628 Management Company is seeking full-time and/or part- time candidates for all shifts at our facility in Carpinteria, CA. This position provides a visible presence at the farm entrance gate, mitigating theft and fraud, and maintaining a safe and secure work environment for all employees and visitors. Reports to the Loss Prevention Manager. Must be flexible across midday, evening, and overnight shifts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stand post and patrol the facility and property to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Provide rapid response to safety, fire, crime, theft, and other emergencies on the facility.
- Observe and report all safety hazards and violations.
- ·Prepare and submit daily activity reports.
- Conduct visual searches of employees, visitors, and other members of the facility. Conduct physical bag checks when deemed necessary.
- Open and secure gates when necessary. Manager visitor passes.
- ·Monitor security cameras.
- ·Perform other duties as required by Loss Prevention Manager and other members of the management team.
Required Skills
- Strong problem-solving ability, with a significant sense of ownership and accountability for one’s work.
- Methodical approach to work, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work independently and in concert with internal counterparts.
- Must become and remain fluent with all federal, state, county, and city requirements and will be responsible for ensuring employees and visitors are compliant while on the property.
- Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
- Maintain professional appearance and treat all employees and visitors with respect.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Formal loss prevention/security training a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of loss prevention experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and investigate suspicious behavior and/or activity.
- Ability to effectively resolve conflict.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and able to stand or sit for extended periods.
Additional Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
