Basic Inventory Duties:
- Supports Processing Team in third party laboratory test sampling
- Maintain constant control of inventory ensuring all daily activities in processing department are accurately and compliantly recorded in BioTrack, as well as additional tools
- Conduct monthly physical inventories of all cannabis and packaging items in processing department, ensuring any variances are accurately reflected into BioTrack, as well as additional tools

Summary
The laboratory manager shall be responsible for all general procedures within the technical areas of the laboratory for cannabis and cannabis derived samples, to include: sample intake and preparation, maintenance of quality control and sample integrity procedures, acquisition of analytical results in the chemistry and microbiology departments and management of all technical employees within the laboratory. Preparation of quality controls, received samples and all reagents necessary for sample extraction and preparation according to written protocols; knowledge of pipetting and laboratory techniques; general instrument operation and data acquisition of multiple analytical assays, to include: liquid and gas chromatography, atomic and molecular mass spectrometry and general microbiology culture and PCR techniques; raw data review and sample interpretation and reinjection; data export to LIS for report release to corresponding clients. Instrument operation and data analysis includes, but is not limited to the following: verifying that all quality control and calibration data is within acceptable range, identifying samples needing reinjection or re-extraction, troubleshooting problems as they arise, loading daily worklists for received specimens, creating standard curves for quantitation, result interpretation and release and any other tasks deemed necessary. Must be cognizant of the expectant turn around goals and strive to reach those goals with minimal error. Job Summary
The Pharmacist ensures that our customers' needs are met and exceeded delivering remarkable customer service and providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude. The Pharmacist works under the direction of the General Manager to supervise days operations and to ensure compliance with all NY regulations. Please note, this position is on-call only with no minimum weekly hours and is not eligible for benefits.
Job Functions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Extraction Technician will assist with the production of high-quality cannabis extracts along with cleaning and maintaining laboratory grade equipment, recording, and entering data in multiple forms, and associated tasks delegated by management. The Extraction Technician will be responsible for consistent, sanitary, and safe production of extracts adhering to company policies to successfully uphold quality control and consistent product production. The individual has the responsibility of extracting, refining and purifying cannabinoids from plant material into a concentrated form using solvents.
- Preparing biomass for solvent based extraction and post processing.
- Sample preparations and logging for analytical testing.
- Adhere to specific quality control SOP’s regarding procedural operations and quality of product produced.
- Identify unsafe scenarios as they pertain to the Manufacturing Department.
- Performs daily safety inspections for extraction systems.
- Safely and effectively perform all methods of the cannabis extraction and refinement process practiced at the Syracuse facility as directed by Management, including but not limited to, ethanol and CO2 extractions, winterization, filtration, color remediation, ethanol recovery and distillation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To make deliveries of our products and wholesale products to dispensaries located throughout the state as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Be on time for duty and ready to work at the beginning of the shift.
- Maintain a confidential personal access code to arm and disarm the facility burglar alarm system.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all delivery information gained while conducting your duties.
- Complete and maintain accurate delivery manifests to include correct counts of products at all times.
- A minimum of one Delivery driver will stay with the delivery vehicle all times there is medical products onboard. Any deviation from this coverage must be approved by the Security Manager or designee.
- Be alert and observant for all possible diversion or theft of medical products and company equipment.
- Immediately report all accidents
- Prepare incident reports and when necessary, make notifications to Security Manager of incidents as they are occurring.
- Follow all NYSDOH guidelines and maintain compliance as provided in Section 1004.10 and 1004.13 of the NYS Medical Marijuana Laws and Guidelines
- Conduct additional duties as directed by a Security Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 Year of experience in security transportation or prior law enforcement or military experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License, CDL preferred

Summary:
The Senior Cultivation Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of cannabis crop cultivation at the cultivation and processing facility. The main responsibilities of the Senior Cultivation Manager are to effectively lead, manage and coordinate all cultivation processes and the cultivation team to ensure growing and preparing the highest quality, premium marijuana for distribution and sale at NYCANNA and other New York dispensaries.
Leadership:
Effectively leads, develops and manages a high performing cultivation team to deliver high quality, premium products based on efficient and effective workflows and a KPI approach to help drive continuous improvement. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Providing technical guidance and training to consistently execute and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive ongoing operational excellence.
- Manage staff scheduling, the bi-weekly payroll and PTO.
- Performs annual performance reviews for every team member on the Cultivation team.
Operational Duties:
Manages the cultivation environment by keeping all cultivation systems in great working order and keeping in inventory the necessary horticultural supplies to optimize the health and productivity (yield) of each crop.
- Monitors a variety of system maintenance programs such as HVAC interfaces, gas exchange monitors, lighting controllers and irrigation timers, ensuring efficient and effective environmental performance
- Promptly identifies and addresses any issues with lighting, gas exchange, hydrology or irrigation and temperature and humidity; partnering with Facilities / Maintenance.
- Partners with the Facilities / Maintenance team to keep all systems in good working order and schedules repairs in a timely fashion.
- Manages supply levels and department requisitions and ensure the timely availability of all relevant horticultural supplies.
Administrative Duties:
Develop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols associated with the cultivation of crops within the facility, relating to, but not limited to the following:
- Propagation and the maintenance of healthy and available mother plants
- Crop care and routine manicuring (e.g., pruning, trellis netting)
- Plant nutrition and irrigation
- Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program
Additionally:
- Develops and executes a cultivation strategy and crop management protocols to deliver premium cultivation to help achieve the company’s financial performance objectives (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Issues a weekly summary report of progress vs KPIs to the management team.
- Develops and issues a monthly report evaluating inventory and supplies (to avoid any operational disruption)
- Participates in the hiring, training and evaluation of all cultivation team members; partnering with Human Resources

Job Summary:
The Cultivation Technician is responsible for contributing to all or most aspects of plant production including propagation, watering, pruning, trellising, defoliating, monitoring, and harvesting of plants. Work Environment

The Director of Production (DP) is an essential, on-site, and visible leadership role managing and overseeing the day-to-day production activities of the Syracuse facility, enabling the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial objectives (EBITDA is the lead metric) based on a production plan co-created with the General Manager. Proven leadership skills with hands-on operational knowledge and expertise to commercialize the business via strategic decision making, sound judgment and people management. Key areas of responsibility include cultivation, laboratory, extraction, processing, business development & management, supply chain planning, master scheduling, budget management, quality control and efficient distribution of medical marijuana products on behalf of NYCANNA.
General Operations and Duties
- Executes business strategy approved by the General Manager and Regional General Manager.
- Promotes and executes a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provides ongoing production reports including but not limited to: production KPIs, production output, finished goods, labor output metrics, inventory levels and usage, and highlights any challenges/resolutions.
- Supervises cost control and manages expenditures based on the approved budget.
- Maintains awareness of current regulations under the NY Office of Cannabis Management, and regarding workplace safety (i.e. OSHA). Works with Human Resources to ensure compliance in terms of workplace injury reporting.
Production Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination, integration and execution of all operations from cultivation to packaging using compliant SOPs and relevant KPIs. Committed to improving the business process for each function from seed-to-sale (e.g., Cultivation, Extraction, Processing, Packaging, etc) via regular SOP updates.
- Ensures the company's ability to produce, prepare and package the highest quality medical marijuana products for wholesale sales and dispensaries - effectively, efficiently and compliantly (in compliance with OCM policies and procedures).
- Supervises and maintains production process planning (informed by wholesale sales and retail feedback)
- Works closely with the Production management team to prepare monthly production forecasts designed to minimally achieve/ideally exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts. Material planning includes materials, equipment, and additional resources.
Packaging Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination and execution of Packaging, Processing and Quality control.
- Ensures that the company provides safe, reliable medicine and products to dispensaries.
- Implements, adjusts and manages metrics to drive and achieve packaging efficiencies.
- Tracks and analyzes weekly reports from the Extraction manager to ensure consistent quality and quantities for packaging.
- Leads development of best-practices and key metrics for QC and efficiency.
RD & Quality Control
- Establishes ongoing testing protocols and standards, working closely with our Lab Manager and team
- Supervises the selection and development of genetics for the highest quality medicine, optimal yield and proprietary strains' creation.
Inventory Management and Distribution
- Develops product cost analyses, helps facilitate inventory reporting and works with Logistics manager to ensure deliveries are received to dispensaries to help the company achieve its business objectives.
- Ensures proper inventory controls are being followed.
- Partners with the Management team to develop and manage forecasts for long-term supply planning,
- Oversees implementation and use of inventory controls including use of Biotrack.
Production Facilities
- Ensures that all facility resources are well-maintained, well-organized, inventoried and reordered promptly.
- Responsible for the procurement of plants, materials, equipment (up to a defined $ level – set by the General Manager) and other resources.
- Develops and implements regularly scheduled equipment maintenance program
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and or/ equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years operational knowledge and expertise to achieve financials, supply chain management or manufacturing, including strategic planning and forecasting, development, validation and execution of SOPs, adherence to compliant quality controls and lab testing, etc.
- 4 years' experience within the cannabis/hemp industry is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for monitoring standards and reviewing procedures to ensure that the organization is always operating compliantly, safely and ethically at the Syracuse CPF, all retail locations and any future operational assets.
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, recommends corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or address potential similar situations in the future.
- Remains abreast of relevant industry-related federal, state and local regulations.
- Reviews compliance-related contracts in partnership with Legal and ensures company compliance to contracts.
- Working in collaboration with a direct report, participates and assists in internal department audits to ensure compliance and minimize risks (including but not limited to inventory, logs, SDSs, safety, QC/QA, etc)
- SOPs: Works with Operations' management on ensuring that SOPs are up-to-date, binders are placed appropriately in the building and that training has occurred for employees
- Works with Operations to identify risks, ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and ensure loss prevention methods comply with privacy and other applicable laws. This includes conducting training and reviewing programs to ensure compliance, ensuring all appropriate OSHA plans are in place and documented properly, tracking training, etc.
- Provides reports on a regular basis or as requested to the Director, Compliance, AH regarding the implementation and ongoing results of various compliance programs (i.e., respirator programs, forklift certifications). Reports any violations and/or potential risks to NYCANNA management in a timely manner.
- Assist in any recall and/or health/public safety issues working with the NYCANNA management team and Director, Compliance, AH to develop and execute a corrective plan.
- Maintain compliance with all state regulations and company policies and procedures. Ensures facility safety programs are current and compliant (i.e., fire extinguisher checks, eye wash station refills, etc)
- Reviews patient complaints and/or adverse events ensuring that all events are handled appropriately and on a timely basis
- Possesses full knowledge of all Hazardous Chemicals within the facility, Hazard Communication and the company's Emergency Action and Response Plan - to assist Security in providing leadership to employees, as needed - in the event of any emergency.
- Works with the Director, Compliance, AH in training team members on the proper handling of Hazardous Chemicals.
- Possesses adequate knowledge of Electrical Safety and Machine Guarding
- Works with the Operations' team and a direct report on batch release compliance testing and maintaining corresponding records.
- Coordinates with Security Management to ensure that all monthly logs and records are updated appropriately and on time
- Assists with regulatory submissions: new products, packaging/labeling, general compliance questions.
- Assists with onboarding and supporting new employees as it pertains to company (IScout) and state required compliance training.
- Able to travel to all NYCANNA dispensary locations on a bi-monthly basis to conduct audits.

Duties:
Motor Equipment Mechanics perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on a variety of Department vehicles and other equipment. Overtime will be required and during the Winter Maintenance Season you may be placed on a shift other than the day shift. Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose and correct the causes of faulty vehicle and equipment operation
- Overhaul, adjust and repair gaseous fuel engines, clutches, transmissions and differentials; ignition, wiring, lighting, fuel, cooling, braking and complex hydraulic systems; steering, wheel and suspension mechanisms; and body, cab and frame components
- Conduct NYS inspections
- Overhaul and rebuild starters, generators, compressors, pumps (fuel, water, air and hydraulic), spreaders, small engines, mowers and a variety of other equipment, including but not limited to, track vehicles, loaders (front-end and belt), cranes, shovels, lifts, hydraulic excavators, etc.

- Pump bulk Sodium Hydroxide and Phosphoric Acid to the buildings day tanks.

- Serve as training designee as directed when training and qualifications are appropriate.

Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree in a science related or a minimum of 1 year equivalent experience.Physical Demands:This position is part of the hands-on dispensing and manufacturing process in a medium-scale manufacturing facility, with classified areas that require appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Physical demands may include lifting (not to exceed 50 lbs), frequent bending/stooping, twisting, crouching/squatting, reaching, repetitive use of arms/hand/wrists, and grasping. This position spends the majority of time standing in an ISO 8 manufacturing environment weighing and issuing raw materials. Operators will be required to drive a fork lift, operate a WAVE and other powered equipment.

The Quality Assurance (QA)/ Quality Control (QC) Specialist is responsible for all QA/QC operations at NYCanna production facilities in East Syracuse, NY.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Oversee the facility and ensure that all sections of production cycle are in complete accordance with all New York State Department of Health regulations.
- Assure daily compliance with company policies including but not limited to state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, facility maintenance, and work schedules.
- Manage Non-Conforming Events (NCEs), Deviations, Laboratory Investigations (OOS), and CAPA's.
- Perform Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and SOP trainings to ensure all employees understand and follow all standard operating procedures.
- Identifies areas in need of process improvement regarding efficiency and/or quality. Identifies areas in need of process improvement regarding efficiency and/or quality and makes changes following approved change control procedures.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts as needed for SOPs, Batch Records and Work Instructions development.
- Assists Quality Management in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
- Writes, updates, issues and maintains QA documentation including, but not limited to, SOPs, Work Instructions, Forms, Technical Files, Master Manufacturing Records, Batch Records, Specifications, and other cGMP related documents.
- Coordinates periodic review of all Company's SOPs.
- Reviews all new and revised controlled documentation for appropriate format, content, and consistency with other documentation.
Production Operation
- Ensures Batch Records used and completed by the manufacturing department provide step-by-step instructions for production-related tasks and activities.
- Ensures production employees have been trained on Batch Records.
- Ensures Batch Records are timely reviewed and signed.
- Ensure that any failure of a batch to meet specifications is thoroughly investigated.
BioTrack activities
- Responsible for the following BioTrack activities after final count of finished product is confirmed by final packaging department:
- Converting Distillate into Finished Product.
- Customizing a label template.
- Assigning required number of samples for release and stability testing.
- Creating a Manifest for QA Samples and ship them to approved Lab.
- Release or reject batch after approved Lab released test results.
Analytical Laboratory Operation
- Ensures lab employees have been trained on all Laboratory SOPs, work instructions, test methods and procedures.
- Ensures the training has been documented.
- Review and approve all laboratory cGMP related documents.
- Ensure that any failure of a test results to meet specifications is thoroughly investigated.
Other responsibilities
- Communicate with approved analytical Lab regarding an analytical result.
- Communicate with NYS DOH in order to QA release of finished products.
- Assist with receiving returned finished products from dispensaries.
