Position Summary/Objective

HR Coordinator

At the highest level, the HR/Safety Coordinator will provide support for several key areas of HR with a special focus on safety, payroll, and data entry as well as assist with special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll including assisting managers with timecard reviews
- Facilitate employee changes, transfers, new hires, terminations, relocation and other employee status changes
- Assist with maintaining personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Assist with the creation/updates of HR forms and policies and departmental SOP’s
- Stay up to date with new HR laws and regulations by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations
- Educate employees on safety standards and expectations
- Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents and related events
- Conduct safety inspections and walk-throughs
- Enhance department branding by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities for process improvement
- Perform other assignments as directed by manager
The candidate must have
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be bilingual - English and Spanish
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of HR experience in any discipline of HR.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain high confidentiality this role demands.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to develop, influence, and maintain strong partnership and relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent project management, multi-tasking, follow through and organizational skills along with a strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities:
- Working with department managers to develop a hiring profile for both proactive and reactive full-cycle recruitment
- Executing all aspects of recruitment (networking, sourcing, screening, job posting, interviewing, position, onboarding with background check)
- Assisting with employee relations:
- Preparing or updating all SOPs and employment records related to hiring, transferring, performance tracking, training, scheduling, promoting, and terminating
- Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
- Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
- Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
- Addressing any employment issues/concerns, such as work complaints and harassment allegations
- Keeping employee records up-to-date by processing changes in a timely manner
- Maintaining personnel files in compliance with IDPH and IDFPR legal requirements
- Coordinating all state required training. Assembling and presenting training materials
- Working to comply with and exceed company, local, state and federal safety regulations
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of HR experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is a plus
- Experience with all aspects of HR (Recruiting, Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Safety, etc.)
- This position will require regular travel to our retail locations throughout Illinois, including but not limited to Urbana and East Peoria.
- Must be self-motivated, organized and maintain a professional demeanor
- Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent customer service approach and attitude
- Hard-working team player with a can-do attitude and a desire to learn and grow
- Adaptable, flexible, willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish desired results

Curaleaf's Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is a professional who completes administrative duties for the human resources manager. They will assist our Pennsylvania HR manager with maintaining employee records, assist with payroll processing and provide administrative support to all employees. Administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitating human resources processes
- Resolving benefits-related challenges
- Ensuring the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services
- Answering employee requests and questions
- Assisting with new employee hiring process
- Conducting audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommending corrective actions
- Assisting with the performance review and termination processes
- Assisting with the recruitment and interview process
- Assisting with implementing and communicating local Curaleaf HR programs and corporate HR programs
- Responsible for managing the onboarding process of new hires, preparing new employee files, and utilizing WURK (HRIS system)
- Collaborate with resolving day to day employee benefits and payroll administration
- Assist with the bi-weekly payroll processing and personal time off tracking procedures using WURK, in accordance with company policies and ensuring all pay charges are approved by appropriate leaders
- Assist with the mid-year and annual performance evaluation program for all employees of the company
- Communicates benefits information to employees, and coordinates with benefits broker
- Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, performance evaluation forms, etc.
- Assists with employee training and development efforts as needed
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and personnel records
- Ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed
- Ensure all HR required postings are kept up to date in the facility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field required
- 2-4 years' experience in compliance and HR
