Production Kitchen Manager, you'll help produce the most consistent and highest quality infused cannabis products in the industry by performing all job duties meticulously and effectively.
Job Summary:
The Production Manager, Edibles Chef provides on-site management of production areas within a cannabis cultivation facility. As a Production Manager, Edibles Chef you are responsible for the manufacturing of cannabis infused edibles and assembling and packaging products for distribution. This position exists to lead the preparation of cannabis-infused products within the production department.
We will provide all necessary training regarding infusion techniques, proper handling of cannabis, products within the regulations set by the regulatory body of Massachusetts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing or overseeing the production process of all related items needed to produce finished packaged goods.
- Excellent organizational skills; as well as time management skills
- This position will work closely with the Extraction Team to ensure workflow meets the necessary specifications and Kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained regularly
- Ensure proper incorporation of extracts into products
- Must be able to follow instructions and react quickly during high production needs
- Design, test, and develop infused recipes that meet all requirements at the federal, state, and local level
- Manufacture and scale production to meet market demand
- Ensure all processes are compliant with regulatory guidelines
- Schedule kitchen staff shifts, if needed
- Order food supplies and kitchen equipment through company resources, as needed
- Store food products in compliance with safety practices
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
- Precisely and efficiently measure and weigh ingredients using recipe specifications.
- Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment to mix, melt, pour, and bake raw ingredients.
- Receive food items and ensure appropriate storage; Make sure that all food items are stored and rotated properly using first in first out (FIFO) methods.
- Collect samples as needed to quality testing.
- Weigh, assemble, package, seal, and label products.
- Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Ensure all products are of high quality and visually aesthetic, reporting concerns to management for remediation.
- Document and update product information and labeling using company's seed to sale system.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Always work in a safe manner for your own and other associate's safety
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in a food production environment a must.
- 2+ years' management experience within commercial kitchen or food production environment
- Experience with the emulsification of food products; as well as the homogenization of food substrates.
- Able to follow detailed instructions(recipes) and capable of performing repetitive tasks.
- Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment.
- Willing to learn about, operate, and maintain facility equipment in a safe manner.
- Ability to sit and stand for at least 8 hours per day, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent.
- Must be Serfsafe certified or the ability to become certified with in 30 days of employment.

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY
The Edibles Kitchen Manager reports to the Facility Director and is responsible for production of our medically infused edible products. This individual manages a team of chefs to carry out day-to-day tasks including prepping, cleaning, cooking, and operating basic production machinery. The Edibles Manager will also lead their team through edibles production in accordance with the State and standards set by Cresco.
CORE JOB DUTIES
Production
- Work with Packaging Manager to set weekly and monthly production schedules
- Manage kitchen chefs with daily production of baked goods, chocolates and confections using commercial machinery.
- Understand and execute batch calculations per Cresco Edibles manufacturing formulas.
- Maintain production logs, lab test results and QC retain samples.
Vendor Coordination / Ordering
- Organize and inventory ingredients and other kitchen production supplies at the facility.
- Place ingredient orders with approved vendors, log and date each shipment.
Facility Cleaning
- Demonstrate an understanding of state and county health department requirements for Kitchen Production Facilities. – Handle preparation for periodic inspections.
- Maintain a clean and safe production facility.
- Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable under standards set by Cresco before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net, changing clothes, etc.
- Complete the sanitation of production equipment and tools including workspace, production and packaging equipment, cookware and appliances.
- State-required sanitation license must be up to date
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Experience in a field and/or operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures, preferable a regulated field producing products for human consumption.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of recipes, food production and kitchen sanitation.
- Strong and effective task-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail – ability to monitor basic kitchen production in processes, organize and maintain production logs and ingredient lot numbers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
- Experience in a production-heavy kitchen, kitchen management and chocolate/confection work a plus.
- Ability to stand for at least 6 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds to torso level is necessary.

- Partner with Human Resources to effectively manage the department workforce.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 3+ year experience working in a high-volume food production facility or within a commercial cannabis kitchen.
- 2+ year previous management/supervisory experience in a regulated field that adheres to health and safety policies and procedures required.
- Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, initiative, attention to detail, drive for change, getting organizational support, building ownership and commitment, making though decisions and developing others.
- Proficient in the use of ERP and inventory management software.
- High attention to detail and is goal driven.
- Consistently goes above and beyond to ensure business needs are met.
- Ability to positively motivate and support teammates.
- Must be 21 years of age or older, and able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent.

JOB SUMMARY
The Edibles Production Manager reports to the Facility Director and is responsible for production of our medically infused edible products. This individual manages a team of chefs to carry out day-to-day tasks including prepping, cleaning, cooking, and operating basic production machinery. The Edibles Manager will also lead their team through edibles production in accordance with the State and standards set by Cresco.
CORE JOB DUTIES
Production
- Work with Packaging Manager to set weekly and monthly production schedules
- Manage kitchen chefs with daily production of baked goods, chocolates and confections using commercial machinery.
- Understand and execute batch calculations per Cresco Edibles manufacturing formulas.
- Maintain production logs, lab test results and QC retain samples.
Vendor Coordination / Ordering
- Organize and inventory ingredients and other kitchen production supplies at the facility.
- Place ingredient orders with approved vendors, log and date each shipment.
Facility Cleaning
- Demonstrate an understanding of state and county health department requirements for Kitchen Production Facilities. – Handle preparation for periodic inspections.
- Maintain a clean and safe production facility.
- Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable under standards set by Cresco before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net, changing clothes, etc.
- Complete the sanitation of production equipment and tools including workspace, production and packaging equipment, cookware and appliances.
- State-required sanitation license must be up to date
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Experience in a field and/or operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures, preferable a regulated field producing products for human consumption.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of recipes, food production and kitchen sanitation.
- Strong and effective task-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail – ability to monitor basic kitchen production in processes, organize and maintain production logs and ingredient lot numbers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
- Experience in a production-heavy kitchen, kitchen management and chocolate/confection work a plus.
- Ability to stand for at least 6 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds to torso level is necessary.

The Edibles Manager develops & maintains Edibles Department production operations, metrics, and staff. POSITION SUMMARY:

- Oversee preparation of all edibles in a consistent, sanitary, and timely manner per production schedule.
- Package all edible in accordance with company SOP’s.
- Accurately measure ingredients as required by the recipes.
- Calibrate scales at every work shift.
- Cook and deposit edible products (i.e., chocolate, gummies, seltzers, etc.) according to the SOPs.
- Clean all cooking equipment and stations at end of shift
- Update logs: Cookbook.
- Communicate with team leaders and other members on the progress of your work.
- Propose new products, variants, recipes, and manufacturing innovations, as appropriate and as per market trends.
Supervisory:
- Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities in conjunction with HR.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- Must be able to provide minor maintenance and adjustments to production equipment (basic trouble-shooting skills).

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage a team of cooks, production assistants, and machine operators and help cultivate a productive and positive work environment.

Edibles Manager
About the Job:
The edibles manager runs the kitchen which is dedicated to making cannabis-infused foods. They manage a kitchen staff as well as a packaging staff. Foods are primarily, but not solely, chocolates, candy and pastries. Applicants should be creative with extensive knowledge of candy and chocolate making as well as have experience in management.
- Develop recipes of infused products for the initial roll-out using oils from the processing lab
- Continually develop of new recipes to keep the product line fresh
- Hire and oversee kitchen staff
- Run automated kitchen equipment
- Outfit kitchen with small wares and cookware.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures
- Create forms and reports to log day-to-day operations

About you:
General:

Cannabis Edibles Production Manager - Adrian, Michigan

Position Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager and coordinating with the VP of R&D and Quality Control, the Edibles Production Manager is responsible for managing the production of cannabis-infused edible and topical products at our Adrian, MI cultivation and processing facility. The Manager is accountable for consistent implementation of approved Standard Operating Procedures, while seeking out opportunities for improvement in compliance standards and overall efficiencies in the kitchen. Primary responsibilities include ensuring that the production is on schedule, products consistently meet state and internal quality requirements, and that target inventory levels are maintained at all times. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the kitchen support staff and ensuring the quality of their work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe, accurate, and appropriate manufacturing, processing, packaging, and storage of edible and topical products using GMP principles
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards developed by the VP of R&D and Quality Control
- Ensure compliance at all times and record all relevant information accurately in the company’s METRC system
- Oversee kitchen production supplies and inventory, keeping inventory shrinkage to zero
- Maintain production logs, lab test results, and QC retain samples
- Implement proper procedures to maintain kitchen equipment operation and sanitation
- Prepare product samples as needed for third party lab testing in strict accordance with state testing protocols
- Train, oversee, and maximize productivity of all kitchen staff
- Direct day to day management of production area and team including production scheduling, execution, staffing, and capacity planning
- Create an atmosphere of teamwork; ensure appropriate expertise and resources are in place to meet requirements and address employee issues in an effective manner.
Required and Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years experience in industrial food production (not restaurant) required
- 3+ years management experience within an industrial food production environment or commercial kitchen (not restaurant) required
- Experience infusing foods and other products, working with cannabis oil infusion strongly preferred
- Familiarity with METRC or other cannabis compliance system preferred
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred
- ServSafe Certification and familiarity with GMP and HACCP

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced sales representative to manage and grow Brick and Mortar sales for the greater Sacramento area. The job is full time, and will require lots of travel (we reimburse per mile). We are looking for someone who is very motivated to begin this career as you will mostly be working unsupervised. The perfect candidate will be very outgoing, organized, analytical and creative. We are seeking a candidate with experience in either a cannabis, sales, brand ambassador, or customer service role. The regional sales manager will be working directly under the VP of Sales, who will provide direct 1 on 1 training with the chosen candidate.
