Summary
The Production Technician , reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, is responsible for executing and maintaining all daily operations of the Production and Packaging Department to achieve the company initiatives. Additionally, the Production Technician maintains the policies and procedures of the company and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Trimming marijuana flower and packaging across the company production departments for the company RMDs and home delivery orders
- Executing the preparation, production, and packaging of cannabis products
- Auditing and recording all weights of all cannabis material given by Production Lead from start to order completion on the appropriate Control Sheet. Immediately informing Production Lead of any discrepancies in weights
- Coordinating waste disposal upon completion of each order and ensure policies and procedures for waste disposal are adhered to.
- Working with Cultivation Team to assist in harvests as needed
- Monitoring, cleaning and maintaining all trim and packaging equipment and operate all equipment safely in its intended manner.
- Ensure compliance at all times with all sanitation regulations and safety standards in the production of all extracted products produced by the company as set in the company’s Policy and Procedure Manuals

Production Associate
Position Description :
The Production Associate is responsible for efficiently performing quality trimming and packaging to prepare marijuana plants for sale. They must de-fan plants, precisely weigh and record them, trim off sticks when the cannabis dries, and sustain cleanliness and organization of their work area. Additionally, they maintain the quality of the plants and ensure a high level of cleanliness. Production Associates are expected to work with integrity and honesty while being resourceful and ready to work as a part of a team or independently. He / She should demonstrate incredible attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Production Associate is also responsible for the packaging of products. He / She must pay great attention to detail, and pick up on processes quickly. Among other duties, this position packages small products quickly on an assembly line. While packaging, Production Associates must be nimble workers who can work in a fast-paced environment. Employees must be excellent at executing and completing tasks. Quality control and package inspection is also a critical task of this position as well as working well in a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities: Trimming
- Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from usable product.
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.
- Trim cannabis to meet company aesthetics, producing the highest quality product efficiently.
- After the breakdown of the plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.
- Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking.
- Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality.
- Employee must manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing the highest quality product.
- Trim staff is responsible for clean-up, disinfection of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every day. This also includes light janitorial tasks.
- Employee must maintain quality standards, flower integrity and adapt to various strains/techniques.

Overview:

Summary
The Production Technician , reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, is responsible for executing and maintaining all daily operations of the Production and Packaging Department to achieve the company initiatives. Additionally, the Production Technician maintains the policies and procedures of the company and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Trimming marijuana flower and packaging across the company production departments for the company RMDs and home delivery orders
- Coordinating waste disposal upon completion of each order and ensure policies and procedures for waste disposal are adhered to.
- Ensuring waste is properly stored, either in the Plant Trash Bins or the General/Non-Plant Trash Bins.
- Ensuring products are properly stored and labeled.
- Auditing and recording all weights of all cannabis material given by Production Lead from start to order completion on the appropriate Control Sheet. Immediately informing Production Lead of any discrepancies in weights
- Working with Cultivation Team to assist in harvests as needed

Duties and Responsibilities
- Bag labeling and printing.
- Accurately blend, grind, pack, and heat-seal coffee and tea bags.
- Assist customers with pick-up orders.
- Accurately pack outbound shipments, ensuring that small package and palleted freight shipments are prepared in time every day.
- Update the Production Manager and/or Roasters of low inventory stock levels.
- Thoroughly clean bins, tables, and general warehouse area and machines according to a cleaning schedule.

Role: Packaging Technician
This candidate will be trained on all machinery and processes associated with the production, assembly, and packaging of all flower products including bulk flower, pre-rolls, hash infused pre-rolls, tinctures and vape pens. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with keen attention to detail, a willingness to learn new skills, and great time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Package infused and plant material into proper containers/packaging with proper labeling to ensure compliance with state regulations
- Manage time efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality product
- Sanitation & cleanup of all processing areas throughout the day
- Use independent judgment in regards to product processing, keeping quality and goals in mind
- Help create a positive environment by having a positive attitude and by being self-motivated
- Invest time in learning new products
- Packaging will consist of filling pre rolls, eighth bags/jars, tinctures, pens, assembly (mouth pieces, etc.), packaging (boxing, etc.), and labeling
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing, processing cannabis or other botanicals preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in warehousing and inventory preferred
- Must be able to work well in a group and independently; demonstrate self-motivation and initiative
- Must be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy procedure and technique
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees
- Ability to perform a monotonous task with great efficiency over a 8 hour work period without losing quality
- Employee must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can maintain quality standards and production goals
- Able to stand for long periods at a time

Overview:
Following policies set forth by the Company, support the overall operation of the production department through completion of the finished packaging of marijuana concentrates and infused products manufactured by the Production Department.
Essential Functions:
Accountable for ensuring the Production Department meet the demand, quantity, and quality of output in-line with Company objectives.
Accountable for completion of all work assigned to them during their scheduled shifts, including but not limited to:
Weighing, packaging, and labeling all finished products produced by department (internal/third-party)
Monitor and maintain all packaging specific equipment as required by protocols and manufacturer specifications
Foster a culture of open dialogue with the management team and other co-workers
Communicate all production related questions, concerns, or issues
Provide any necessary support to management team to ensure the success of all production operations, as assigned, trained, and/or requested.
Accountable for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies set forth by the Company when performing duties.
Utilize all Company resources to complete all assigned tasks
Seek continued education to satisfy all regulations and requirements of Company, and State regulatory bodies.
Facilitate the packaging of marijuana concentrates and infused products by performing all packaging procedures and protocol which include but are not limited to:
Documentation and communication of units produced during Packaging Sessions
Accurately weighing all concentrates and infused products produced by department.
Packaging Label Creation, application, and compliance
Packaging Supply Organization
Sanitization of all packaging workstations, equipment, and support materials
Support and assist in the execution and evaluation of Research & Development experiments performed by production department
Support and assist in the ongoing development of department protocol, procedures, and methodology
Ensure all standards for packaging procedures and production protocols are followed
Compliance with Division regulations.
Assuring compliance with local, state, and federal billing or licensing requirements
Quality control methods are adhered to through all processes
Production standards are documented and followed
Experiments/manufacturing methods are recorded for future reference
Inventory management including state mandated Inventory Control System
Utilize industry experience to ascertain all necessary equipment required for the safe and efficient packaging of cannabis concentrates and infused products
Support and assist in resolution of any packaging related complaints or issues.
Flexible work schedule required; to include covering a vacant shift and/or facility issues in emergency situations as needed.
Seek expanded knowledge-base, advancement, and diversification of skills within department.
Support inventory tracking compliance both internally, and within the state Inventory Control software.
Other duties as assigned.

Must pass any and all required background checks

Minimum Education and Experience :
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.
Working Conditions :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting and repetitive motions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
Must be able to tolerate dusty, strong smelling marijuana odors, and be able to tolerate exposure to the product.
