Position Objective:
The Shift Lead will provide assistance to the Store Director and Assistant Manager by supporting the activities and operations of the store, enforce policies and procedures, and operational guidelines. The Shift Lead will assist in monitoring employee actions, assist handling customer service issues/concerns, complete attendant duties as necessary and act as the Manager-On-Duty in absence of the General Manager and Manager, including opening/closing their assigned location.
Essential Functions:
Assist in Supervision of Attendants:
Foster teamwork, including motivating team members
Provide continuous coaching and training when applicable
Act as MOD on duty when the Store Director and Assistant Manager are not on site
Monitor task(s) completion of Budtenders
Communicate to Store Director and Assistant Manager of any concerns or issues regarding staff immediately
Assist in carrying out management directives
Lead by setting a positive example
Assist in training directives, including upselling and new hires when necessary
Responsible for managing breaks for the hourly team members

Focus on Customer Service:

Administration:
Verify cash counts at the beginning and end of each shift

Verify drawer counts, follows all cash handling procedures
Follows and accurately completes opening and closing checklists when opening or closing location
Maintain approved merchandising standards and display presentations, match the ordering buttons on tablet.

Position Summary
The receptionist is the first impression of the store to our consumers. - Maintains familiarity with IDs from all over the country and can recognize fraudulent ID cards.
- Scans IDs into the POS system and confirms that the information on the ID matches the information on the scanner.

Position Summary

Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- The Supervisor, Retail Operations ensures compliance with all Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program rules and regulations governing the Act, and directly supervises the activity within the dispensary to include dispensary staff training and education in the absence of the Manager and as directed.

- This position acts as a liaison internally between all staff, dispensary management team and the Manager, and externally between the Dispensing Facility and law enforcement, Commissioner of Health, and the local community.
- Directs and monitors department managers to accomplish goals of the plan, consistent with established and safety procedures.
- Establishes methods to follows the operating plan in compliance with the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program, maintaining records required by public health law and ensures quality assurance plans, including but limited to plans to detect, identify and prevent dispensing errors related to product packaging and labeling.
- Manages and implements policies and procedures for any retesting of returned approved medical marijuana products, storage and disposal and meeting reporting requirements for adverse events and product recall.
- This position is responsible for assisting with implementing and maintaining security systems for tracking, record keeping, record retention and surveillance related to all product at every stage of, storage, delivery, transporting, and distribution.
- Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance.
- Implement HR policies and programs in support of company initiatives. Direct all compliance efforts for the company to minimize risk.
- Ensure job descriptions for all positions are accurate and current.
- Conduct investigations; respond to unemployment claims, EEOC, DOL, and/or employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civic rights complaints. Settle grievances in coordination with Senior Counsel.
- Conduct exit interviews analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Create organizational development and employee training programs.
- Conduct performance reviews with department managers & monitor employee productivity, attitudes, and performance results.
- Implement HR related software systems in collaboration with IT Partners.
- Recruit and retain top quality staff for each department; conduct interviews. Manage talent acquisition and workforce management plan.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

- Possession of a bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience at a management administrative level with an emphasis on employee relations and talent management.

Redwoods Rising Governance Fellow
(2â€year funded position through Save the Redwoods League’s Forest Fellowship program, providing
opportunities for emerging natural resource professionals in support of the field of redwood forest
restoration.)
Save the Redwoods League is looking for a collaborative and energetic individual aspiring to become a natural
resource professional, who will work to build natural resource management capacity on the conservation lands of
California’s north coast. The north coast is home to the majority of the world’s remaining old growth coast redwood
forest, as well as large tracts of former timberland now owned by public agencies for conservation purposes.
Industrial timberland, small private forest landowners, homesteaders, Native American tribes, and a burgeoning
cannabis farming industry all represent significant ownership types in the region. This complex ecological and social
context is made further challenging by the remoteness of the landscape. The Redwoods Rising Governance Fellow
will enhance the forest restoration capacity of Redwoods Rising – a collaboration between Save the Redwoods
League, the National Park Service, and California State Parks to accelerate the pace of redwood forest recovery and
help protect Redwood National and State Parks’ remaining oldâ€growth groves.
Based in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties and working directly with collaboration partner agencies, the Fellow will
work to advance the initiative, primarily by assisting the Restoration Project Manager with the logistical,
administrative, permit, budget tracking, and grant and permit reporting needs associated with the governance of
Redwoods Rising. The Fellow will further support development and implementation of Redwoods Rising restoration
projects, outreach and communications efforts, and mapping and GIS needs.

Position Overview
Primary Duties
- Provide logistical and administrative support to Redwoods Rising stakeholder and working groups
- Work with League and agency staff to research and solicit funding from public and private sources
- Work with League and agency staff to track budgets and report on progress towards grant deliverables

- Assist with the tracking of tasks and decisions made
- Work with League and agency staff and outside consultants to develop communications documents
including social media and blog posts
- Represent the League and Redwoods Rising at outreach events
