Summary

Essential functions:
Technical
- Receive and accession samples into laboratory information management software (LIMS) and state of MI compliance software (Metrc).
- Removing samples from packaging, weigh, split and batch samples as needed for multiple downstream tests, and capture images.

PSI Labs is looking for a Field Sampling Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for conducting sampling in the field and safely and securely transporting samples and relevant documentation to the laboratory for processing. Field Sampling Technicians will report to the lab at the beginning of each shift to collect their sanitized sampling kit, drive to licensed facilities for sampling events and return to the lab at the end of the shift to drop off and input samples into our LIMS.
A Field Sampling Tech must be comfortable working with and around cannabis products. All employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, including a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) which must be clear to proceed.
Our Sampling Technician will:
- Driving to and from sampling events (requires several hours on the road each day).
- Follow all internal laboratory SOPs and state regulations while driving samples to and from the laboratory/clients’ sampling site.
- Maintain records of samples and transportation data per relevant procedures.
- Maintain sampling supply/equipment inventory.
- Complete vehicle operational logs and minor maintenance as needed.
- Follow good documentation practices, data integrity principles, and safety protocols.
- Ensure proper Sample Submission form protocols are followed.

Position Summary:
The Edibles Laboratory Technician is the primary person in the production of high-quality cannabis-infused edibles. The individual will also assist with the extraction process along with cleaning and maintaining laboratory and equipment, recording and entering data, and associated tasks. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the consistent, sanitary and safe production of cannabis extracts and infused products utilizing company policies to successfully uphold quality and consistency of all products produced in compliance with State of Ohio medical marijuana laws and legislation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for the daily operation of the lab and fully comply with state laws and regulations
- Production of infused edibles, including, but not limited to, gummies, chocolates, and olive oil; assist with the production of other infused products such as patches and lotions
- Perform CO2 and butane extraction of cannabis materials
- Perform stripping, grinding, and decarboxylation of cannabis materials
- Perform post-extraction processes, including wax removal, solvent recovery, wiped film distillation, and mixing for vape pens
- Assist with the creation of batch production records and maintain a detailed log of procedures and results
- Examine product samples during production to evaluate quality, color, and texture
- Perform necessary equipment maintenance and safety checks in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Follow all Good Manufacturing and Serv Safe practices
- Follow established sanitation practices for staff, equipment, and facilities to ensure quality measures are met to maintain high quality of product

Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, helpful
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in cannabis extraction or food/edibles production, helpful

BASIC FUNCTION
The Laboratory Technician assists the Chemist and/or Microbiologist in performing chemical testing procedures and microbiological tests. Carries out sampling, weighing, pipetting, operation of lab equipment, recordkeeping, and analyzing data in cooperation with the scientific team. Must be able to drive to sampling sites, perform unbiased sampling procedures, follow laboratory protocols, and assist with the housekeeping operations of the laboratory. QUALIFICATIONS

b. Experience – Hands-on experience in a research, testing or clinical laboratory is desired. Knowledge in a range of analytical techniques, experience with plant material and extraction procedures, and familiarity with laboratory equipment and software (Excel, ChemStation, Google Sheets) are preferred.

Essential functions:
Technical
- Receive and accession samples into laboratory information management software (LIMS) and state of MI compliance software (Metrc).
- Removing samples from packaging, weigh, split and batch samples as needed for multiple downstream tests, and capture images.
- Follows routine tasks accurately and follows strict methodologies in order to carry out sample extractions.
- Follows and fulfills analytical preparation duties for various assays, including potency, terpenes, pesticides, mycotoxins, residual solvents, and microorganism analyses per laboratory SOPs.
- Interprets QA/QC and sample result data using basic math, interpretive, analytical skills
- Adheres to strict guidelines on documentation while recording data.
- Responsible for various laboratory support activities, including but not limited to, consumable and sample inventory, record-keeping, sample disposal, and cleaning.
- Completes routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting on instruments and equipment.

PSI Labs is looking for a Field Sampling Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for conducting sampling in the field and safely and securely transporting samples and relevant documentation to the laboratory for processing. Field Sampling Technicians will report to the lab at the beginning of each shift to collect their sanitized sampling kit, drive to licensed facilities for sampling events and return to the lab at the end of shift to drop off and input samples into our LIMS.
A Field Sampling Tech must be comfortable working with and around cannabis products. All employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, including a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) which must be clear to proceed.
Our Sampling Technician will:
- Driving to and from sampling events (requires several hours on the road each day).
- Follow all internal laboratory SOPs and state regulations while driving samples to and from the laboratory/clients’ sampling site.
- Maintain records of samples and transportation data per relevant procedures.
- Maintain sampling supply/equipment inventory.
- Complete vehicle operational logs and minor maintenance as needed.
- Follow good documentation practices, data integrity principles, and safety protocols.
- Ensure proper Sample Submission form protocols are followed.
- Support laboratory-based functions including sample intake/preparation, etc.
- Coordinate intake activities with Client Services Representative(s), Director of Client Ops, and Laboratory Director.
- Perform other duties as requested by Management.
Sample Collection:
- Randomly select samples for testing using the defined SOPs.
- Document sample and client information.
- Maintain proper chain of custody of the samples from the client to the laboratory.
- Receive samples and verify appropriate receipt conditions, including weighing samples.
- Enter the samples into the LIMS.
- Complete all necessary intake forms.
Customer Relations:
- Contact clients in conjunction with the Director of Client Ops and Client Service Representative(s) to determine their sampling needs to create a sampling plan (e.g.# of batches, requested analyses, sample information) and schedule sample collection.
- Make decisions on the condition of the product and advise the client if their product is ready to be sampled.
- Along with the Client Service Representative, maintain/enhance customer relations.

Cannabis Laboratory Extraction Lead Technician
Position Overview
This position supports the preparation and execution of the extraction process, and works with the Laboratory Director in development of new products.
The Lead Technician is responsible for assisting with production or development based on current business needs. The Lead Technician will strictly follow the company’s standard operating procedures and quality control measures to maintain production of high-quality products. The position is responsible for carrying out day-to-day tasks including assisting with extracting, refining, and packaging of cannabis products.
As needed the Lead Technician, under the guidance of the Laboratory Director, will work developing new formulations or processes for products. All tasks must complete assigned task in a timely and efficient manner. Attendance and punctuality are vital to the execution of these tasks.

- Assist with extraction and packaging as needed, provide post extraction processing services on a daily basis including ethanol and filtration media to create a cleaner, more potent product.

USchemLab performs the various analytical assays that are required by the California Bureau of Cannabis Control in order to make sure that the Cannabis products which will be sold by manufacturers to consumers do not contain anything that could harm them. Assays will include potency, pesticide, toxin, and residual solvent testing.

Our analysts and technicians are responsible for performing the analytical testing under the general supervision of the Laboratory Director in accordance with our Quality System and SOPs. Educational requirements: Analysts must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry, biology, environmental or agricultural science, and at least 1 year of relevant analytical testing job experience. Technicians must have a minimum of 2 years of college with coursework in chemistry, biology, environmental or agricultural science and at least 1 year of relevant work experience.

Position Summary:
The laboratory technician conducts sample preparation for extraction, laboratory investigations, experiments, and/or research activities. The laboratory technician uses a variety of statistical methods such as GC, GC Head Space, MS, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, HPLC, ELISA and microbiological culturing to analyze a variety cannabis matrices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples for potency, residual solvents, terpenes, and microbial testing
- Performs logging and testing of samples
- Uses computer terminal to process analyzed data
- Processes, organizes, and summarizes data and reports results of experiments
- Basic customer service needs such as assisting with clients when needed
Required Qualifications:
- MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
- Minimum requirement of an associate's degree from an accredited college or vocational school in Chemistry/Biology or related laboratory sciences degree
- Two years work experience in a professional medical/environmental/scientific laboratory performing duties related to this position
- Experience with GC and HPLC

Job Overview: North Coast Testing Laboratories of Michigan, LLC (NCTLM) is seeking an outgoing and driven person who wants to be a part of a rapidly growing company in the burgeoning cannabis industry. The sample technician is responsible for all duties related to the collection of cannabis samples as defined by internal laboratory SOPs and Michigan Regulatory Agency (MRA) regulations including driving to and from laboratory/client sampling sites.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Follow all internal laboratory SOPs and Michigan Regulatory Agency (MRA) regulations while taking samples and driving to and from the laboratory/clients’ sampling site.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a company vehicle.
- Maintain records of samples and transportation data per relevant procedures.
- Maintain sampling supply/equipment inventory.
- Complete vehicle operational logs and minor maintenance as needed.
- Follow good documentation practices, data integrity principles and safety behaviors.
- Support laboratory-based functions including sample intake/preparation, etc.
- Follow all traffic laws.
- Coordinate intake activities with NCTLM Customer Service Representative(s) and Laboratory Director/Manager.
- Document sample and client information.
- Maintain the proper chain of custody of the samples from the client to the laboratory.
- Receive samples and verify appropriate receipt conditions, including weighing sample.
- Complete all necessary intake forms.
- Accurately enter data into company's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Have basic understanding of Michigan inventory tracking software (METRC) and its procedures.
- Have a basic understanding of lab procedures and equipment uses.
- Provide excellent customer interaction and support.
- Work cooperatively in a team environment supporting management and co-workers.
Qualifications & Skills
- Possess a clean driving record and valid Michigan Driver’s License.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with clients.
