Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples for potency, residual solvents, terpenes, and microbial testing
- Performs logging and testing of samples
- Uses computer terminal to process analyzed data
- Processes, organizes, and summarizes data and reports results of experiments
- Basic customer service needs such as assisting with clients when needed
Required Qualifications:
- MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
- Minimum requirement of an associate's degree from an accredited college or vocational school in Chemistry/Biology or related laboratory sciences degree
- Two years work experience in a professional medical/environmental/scientific laboratory performing duties related to this position
- Experience with GC and HPLC
- Experience with software applications such as Excel, Word, and LIMS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Mass Spectrometry and Microbiological culturing
- Working knowledge of GC and HPLC maintenance such as changing the liner, septa, and trimming column

Being well versed in the Emergency Regulations released by the Bureau of Cannabis Control under the MAUCRSA is an important part of this role. As regulations continue to change with state legislature, it will be important to stay up to date and understand how changes can affect our services and day to day operations.
As the face of PharmLabs, our ideal candidate would serve as a brand ambassador; answering phones, responding to email inquiries and greeting walk-in clients. Knowledge about our testing services and cannabis products will be an important part of this role to help support to our clients successfully. An understanding of the basics of chemical and biological analytical chemistry is important to communicate testing results with clients and describing our services.
Candidates must be detail oriented. Part of this role is the intake of client test samples and inputting them into the Laboratory Information Management System as well as ensuring products are correctly labeled for testing by the Laboratory staff.
To maintain the independence of the laboratory, and under current regulations, laboratory staff can not be employed by or have ownership in any other cannabis license type.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls, determine the purpose of calls and transfer calls as necessary.
- Greet walk-in clients
- Provide proper information about testing and our services to clients
- Check in all client test samples and input them accurately into LIMS
- Assist with integration of test samples and spreadsheet creation for test samples
- Support Social Media efforts, posting and responding on behalf of the brand and creation of content for centralized social media efforts.
- Sending new client welcome emails
- Adding new client emails to the newsletter distribution list
- Contributes to Monthly Newsletter
- Clean floors, bathroom, dusting and empty trash
- Track office supplies needed and report to Operations Manager
- Refill office educational information as needed
- Take and deliver messages
- Monitors visitor access to the Laboratory
- Interacts and coordinates with various vendors
- Provides ongoing support to Laboratory staff
- Receives, sorts and distributes mail; prepares outgoing mail and ensures it is mailed
- Receives and processes deliveries
- Drafts correspondence, generates reports and other documents
- Attends industry events and mixers

A SAMPLING & and TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST (STS) is one of the most crucial parts of the testing process! The STS is responsible to travel to California’s licensed cultivation, manufacturing and distribution facilities and personally collect samples using a proven scientific method to ensure the sample is representative of the batch. An STS will collect samples consisting of flower, oil, edibles and other cannabis products while following a strict standard operating procedure and transporting them to the analytic testing laboratory.
Once the samples arrive at the testing laboratory they will be processed for Potency, Pesticides, Residual Solvents, Microbiological, Toxins, Heavy Metals and filth/foreign inspections. If the testing results pass the California testing criteria set forth, then they are allowed to be sold to the consumers in the State of California. This ensures the health and safety of the population of the great State of California!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure area is as clean and free from contaminants and filth as possible and sanitize tools
- Obtain a representative samples from each batch;
- Assign a unique sample identifier to each sample and sample increment;
- Follow chain-of-custody protocols to ensure that sample integrity is such that it may be maintained from point of collection to receipt of samples at the laboratory;
- Wear proper personal equipment items during the entire sampling process
- Properly store and handle samples
- Properly record in the Sample Field Log
- Sample Unpackaged Harvest Batches and Medical Cannabis Goods
- Complete the Sampler Training Requirements
- Package samples in tamper proof packaging
- Transport tamper-proof packaging to a Multiple Unit Logistics Expert
- While transporting samples the vehicles inside temperature must be kept below 80 degrees Fahrenheit
- Follow all traffic laws
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver's License and Insurance
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Must have clean driving record
- Completed 2 years of college coursework
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability and flexibility

Position summary:
The Multiple Unit Logistics Expert is responsible for collecting the tamper proof packages containing testing samples from the Sampling & Transportation Specialists we have throughout the state and ensuring safe transportation to our multiple PharmLabs laboratory locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with STS’s to collect multiple units of secured samples for testing.
- Store samples in a safe and secure location when not transporting samples in a vehicle BCC could construe “storing” as something other than transporting. Clients that may read this might see delays. Let's leave this off.
- Ensure samples are protected from any extreme environmental conditions to protect the integrity of the samples
- Transport samples to any of the multiple laboratory locations in the State of California as directed
- While transporting samples the vehicles inside temperature must be kept below 80 degrees Fahrenheit
- Follow all traffic laws
- Wear a seatbelt
- Report any accidents to your supervisor immediately.
- Report any change in insurance within 24 hours
- Report suspension or loss of Drivers License within 24 hours

- Monitors visitor access to the Laboratory
- Interacts and coordinates with various vendors
- Provides ongoing support to Laboratory staff
- Receives, sorts and distributes mail; prepares outgoing mail and ensures it is mailed
- Receives and processes deliveries
- Drafts correspondence, generates reports and other documents
- Attends industry events and mixers
- Creates and maintains forms necessary to the operation of the Laboratory
- Ensures reception area is well maintained, neat and clean

Position Summary:
The laboratory technician conducts sample preparation for extraction, laboratory investigations, experiments, and/or research activities. The laboratory technician uses a variety of statistical methods such as GC, GC Head Space, MS, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, HPLC, ELISA and microbiological culturing to analyze a variety cannabis matrices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples for potency, residual solvents, terpenes, and microbial testing
- Performs logging and testing of samples
- Uses computer terminal to process analyzed data
- Processes, organizes, and summarizes data and reports results of experiments
- Basic customer service needs such as assisting with clients when needed
Required Qualifications:
- MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
- Minimum requirement of an associate's degree from an accredited college or vocational school in Chemistry/Biology or related laboratory sciences degree
- Two years work experience in a professional medical/environmental/scientific laboratory performing duties related to this position
- Experience with GC and HPLC
- Experience with software applications such as Excel, Word, and LIMS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Mass Spectrometry and Microbiological culturing
- Working knowledge of GC and HPLC maintenance such as changing the liner, septa, and trimming column

Position summary:
A SAMPLING & and TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST (STS) is one of the most crucial parts of the testing process! The STS is responsible to travel to California’s licensed cultivation, manufacturing and distribution facilities and personally collect samples using a proven scientific method to ensure the sample is representative of the batch. An STS will collect samples consisting of flower, oil, edibles and other cannabis products while following a strict standard operating procedure and transporting them to the analytic testing laboratory.
Once the samples arrive at the testing laboratory they will be processed for Potency, Pesticides, Residual Solvents, Microbiological, Toxins, Heavy Metals and filth/foreign inspections. If the testing results pass the California testing criteria set forth, then they are allowed to be sold to the consumers in the State of California. This ensures the health and safety of the population of the great State of California!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure area is as clean and free from contaminants and filth as possible and sanitize tools
- Obtain a representative samples from each batch;
- Assign a unique sample identifier to each sample and sample increment;
- Follow chain-of-custody protocols to ensure that sample integrity is such that it may be maintained from point of collection to receipt of samples at the laboratory;
- Wear proper personal equipment items during the entire sampling process
- Properly store and handle samples
- Properly record in the Sample Field Log
- Sample Unpackaged Harvest Batches and Medical Cannabis Goods
- Complete the Sampler Training Requirements
- Package samples in tamper proof packaging
- Transport tamper-proof packaging to a Multiple Unit Logistics Expert
- While transporting samples the vehicles inside temperature must be kept below 80 degrees Fahrenheit
- Follow all traffic laws
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver's License and Insurance
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Must have clean driving record
- Completed 2 years of college coursework
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge of California’s Bureau of Cannabis Control’s Medical and Adult Use Regulations
- Must be able to pass a Live Scan background check prior to and periodically throughout employment.
- Must not be employed or have any ownership in any other CA cannabis industry license type.
