Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration, and decarboxylation
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to guidelines and Curaleaf policy

We are a full service cannabis processing facility located in Sacramento. We work with a variety of clients to hand trim, sort, buck, package, and manufacture their products. Our teams occasionally assist in harvesting and garden work. Some teams also travel to our client facilities (Modesto/Tracy - Stockton - Sacramento territory) to perform services on site. Our clients’ needs vary; therefore some assignments may be for a few days or a few months.
The supervisor will not always work with the same team, the team is assembled based on independent contracts. Therefore some flexibility is required to move between client facilities (30% on site, 70% Sacramento). Position Summary
This position will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the trim, packaging, or preroll process and ensuring all SOP’s are being followed. You will occasionally oversee the garden or harvest team, train and work with new hires, and assist with admin tasks such as data entry and record keeping. It is critical to follow our systems that ensure products are accurately processed and tracked while supervising the efficient workflow through the process. This position requires a high level of organization, the ability to navigate apps and software programs we use, and solid verbal and written communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities/Tasks
- Manage, supervise and direct the activities of the staff including trim, packaging/labeling, and garden work.
- Manage a team of 2-15+ employees and ensure Quality Checking and Quality Control.
- Training, development & performance evaluations
- Create, develop and utilize all resources to provide training and support new employee orientation
- Have a good working knowledge of California employment laws.
- Ensure daily check-in, check-out process for staff is followed both for client and the company.
- Make sure employees are following all protocols, and in compliance with state regulations.
- Weekly supply audits.
- Keep accurate processing logs for trimmers.
- Record keeping for employee oversight, attendance, and error management.
- Make sure storage of ‘works-in-progress’ is in compliance, organized and prevents product degradation.

Job Summary:
The Processing Supervisor has primary oversight responsibilities for all activities in the production center on 2ndshift. This includes packaging and other related production processes. THE OPPORTUNITY
The Processing Supervisor will be responsible for making sure that their facility and department’s employees are compliant with local and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures. This role will be responsible for all activities related to the post-harvest production of cannabis flower through primary packaging, as well as secondary packaging for both cannabis and infused products.
- Exercise authority and direction concerning operational issues and budget decisions; participate in developing and implementing rules, regulations, department policies, and procedures
- Documentation and continued development of internal processes
- Continuous improvement in efficiencies, processes and procedures for DTC
- Manage and coordinate Post Harvest, Cure, Processing and Packaging operations at the facility including: daily activities, supply requests, equipment requirements, training/ development, schedules, personnel and quality assurance.
- Inventory oversight, management, and organization.
- Ensure product quality; making sure product quality is maintained while being processed, cured, and packaged.
- Ensure and oversee tracking logs of all harvested, processed and packaged product.
- Understand and perform proper curing and drying methods; understanding, maintaining and executing knowledge of correct levels of humidity and temperature ranges during various stages of production.
- Manage and utilize Processing and Packaging labor force to effectively meet production goals and quality standards
- Work in various sectors of the department as needed to assist train, maintain and oversee quality standards, products, and procedures by their staff, as well to help meet goals.
- Assure compliance requirements are met or exceeded through operational and physical support at their facility.
- Responsible for continued innovation and evolution within the department regarding policy and procedure; making recommendations and offering new concepts and ideas to help streamline productivity and cost-efficiency
- Review new processes and product flow while maintaining, quality oversight
- Create and manage detailed reporting, comprehensive tracking and analysis of all products post-harvest through finished packaging; reporting daily, weekly and monthly as required
- Create a proactive and positive environment where processing employees are challenged to meet as well as exceed production, quality goals, and standards
- Experience in all areas related of post harvest processing of cannabis, including curing, trimming, and packaging.
- Skills in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations
- Ability to research, evaluate and adapt to new methods, compliance updates, and techniques for operational improvement
- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes, and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, upper management, and governmental agencies
- Assists the cultivation department with processes related to the drying of cannabis in order to maintain schedules and production goals; gains knowledge and experience in the processes and procedures of drying cannabis.
- Responsible for all flower processing related trimming, curing and primary packaging as well as all processes related to secondary packaging for both flower and manufactured products
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or related previous management experience preferred
- 3-5 plus years of prior people management experience required
- Experience related to the drying, curing, processing, and/or packaging of cannabis preferred
- Prior union experience preferred
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment, and software, including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, and electronic mail.
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences, including their direct supervisor, upper management, and law enforcement
- Knowledge and use of automation equipment including packaging, labeling and cannabis related post harvest & trimming equipment.

Directly supervises the Extraction and Purification staff and accomplishes department results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
This position and all output metrics report directly to the Lab Manager. These reports will include all daily production metrics, establishing actual vs. expected production results with explanations of variances, staff absences and all associated production paperwork.
Shows the capability to effectively communicate with management and co-workers on a professional basis. This will include all team leads, supervisors, and upper management.
Preparing for efficient production by reviewing manufacturing schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant materials and supplies for extraction.
Performing all training required for extraction team, including maintaining all required documentation.
Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment; Processing concentrates and extracts.
Cleaning and maintaining extraction equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
Operating, maintaining, adjusting, trouble shooting, and repairing laboratory equipment such as extraction vessels, heating jackets, CO2 pumps, CO2 recycler, balances, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment.
Operating extraction equipment to harvest terpene extracts and cannabinoid-containing extracts utilizing both fresh frozen and CO2 processes.
Operating highly sophisticated purification equipment to convert crude oil into decarboxylated oil.
Following procedures for extract purification including ethanol addition, winterization, centrifugation, distillation, filtration, rotary evaporation, and decarboxylation.
Assisting with the development of further purification processes and in-process materials, including processes for new products.
Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, equipment PM’s as required, and preparing requisitions as needed, maintaining inventory within state-issued cannabis inventory software.
Storing supplies and equipment, disposing of waste according to state guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate.
Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, and filing.
Maintaining material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products.

Purpose
The Processing Analytics Supervisor position is responsible for supervising all extraction, kitchen and process packaging production planning, data entry and data analysis performed by the Analytics Team in Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The focus of the Processing Analytics Supervisor is to provide technical leadership to team members across states to ensure that daily tasks and special projects are completed in a timely manager while meeting the team's quality standards. The Processing Analytics Supervisor is responsible for verifying the accuracy of data entered and analyzed by the Data Technicians/Specialists across these states and will be assigned various reporting duties as needed. This position requires a high attention to detail and an intermediate to advance working knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, state seed to sale systems and Dynamics NAV. The position provides regular and timely communication with Analytics, Extractions, Kitchen, Processing Packaging, Cultivation, Supply Chain and Retail management as well as team members within those departments. Effective remote communication and supervision skills utilizing email, chats, video meetings and phone calls is a must. The Processing Analytics Supervisor is expected to operate under the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.
Essential Duties
Data Entry and Systems
- The Processing Analytics Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that the production teams have entered data across tracking sheets in a timely manner and that the Analytics team has properly verified that data for accuracy before reporting it to Dynamics NAV, MJ Platform or any other internal tracking systems.
- The supervisor will be responsible for assisting in training new employees and facilitating ongoing cross training for all team members.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of internal tracking systems in Google and Smartsheet to gather data necessary to production compliance and tracking. Ensure these systems work collaboratively with data collection in Dynamics NAV and/or state required seed to sale systems.
- Create useful data sets that integrate with Domo and Jet reporting to provide easily digestible data for employee accountability, compliance adherence, increased outputs, and maximum production efficiency.
- Review, reconcile and correct data variances made in Dynamics NAV, Metrc and MJ Platform before posting the adjustments.
- Responsible for ensuring SOPs and team trainings are updated in line with data system improvements and modifications.
Auditing
- The Processing Analytics Supervisor will work with the Production, Quality and Compliance teams to ensure that daily digital audits as well as weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual physical audits are being performed.
- Responsible for verifying and providing justification for adjustments made as part of the audit process as well as identifying process improvements that can mitigate common variances in the future.
- Audit inventory movement between Dynamic NAV BIN locations to ensure physical inventory locations, inventory availability and inventory states are accurate at the close of business each day.
- The Processing Analytics Supervisor will work with Data Technicians to ensure that consumption and outputs have been reported accurately to Dynamics NAV, Metrc and MJ Platform and the necessary internal tracking documents.
Production Planning
- The position is responsible for planning and implementing production schedules for the Extraction, Kitchen and Processing Packaging teams that maintain production levels in line with current retail and wholesale demand as well as forecasted demand for cost purposes.
- Utilize strain specific data to maximize extraction yields while maintain proper strain variety and quantity targets concentrates, infused pre rolls, vapes and other processing products.
- Assist the Post-Harvest and Processing teams in production planning related to trim production, collection, testing, extended storage, transfer, extraction and/or sale.
- Understand machine and staffing thruput per facility to identify pinch points in production and work collaboratively with the Processing team to maximize weekly output and overall production efficiency.
- Coordinate and organize direct material requirements and purchase orders when necessary.
- Investigate and resolve problem situations affecting scheduled production. Taking the necessary action. Prepare and report on production risk analysis and action plans.
Reporting
- Compile reports utilizing Google, Dynamics NAV, Jet Reports, Metrc, MJ Platform and Domo in relation to machine centers, on hand inventory, labor statistics, testing results, distribution rates, sales, raw material use, etc…
- Accurately compile and verify data sets to ensure published reports are accurate and reliable.
- The Processing Analytics Supervisor is responsible for providing the Processing team with all necessary data needed to make informed decisions about production cadences, staffing targets, SOP changes and facility planning.
- Generate reports that measure performance across processing to assist Processing managers in establishing facility and staffing KPIs.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Ensure that workflow and work procedures are documented, and that appropriate controls and audit are in place to ensure data and processing integrity.
Other Duties
- Coverage in other areas of Analytics.
- Occasional coverage/assistance for data entry in functional areas of Processing.
- Creation of manifests and transfers as needed.
- Assist the manager of the department with any training, coaching, and disciplinary actions taken in the department. Be prepared to communicate, document and report towards employee performance, behavior, and attendance.
- Ensure productive communication between team members, as well as departments, to help promote team effectiveness and operative flow.
- Assess, communicate, and ensure priorities are completed each day/week/month/quarter.
- Assist with supervision and data development across all PharmaCann states as needed.
Supervision
- Works under the direct supervision of the Production Planning Manager, also takes direction from the Cultivation Analytics Manager (CO & MI), Processing Analytics Manager (CO & MI), the Senior Manager of Processing Analytics and the Senior Manager of Cultivation Analytics.
- Position is responsible for supervising the Data Technicians, as well as the Data Specialists on the Processing Analytics Team in IL, MA, NY, OH, PA.
- This person must be comfortable and adept at supervising staff remotely across multiple states.
Job Qualifications
Work Experience
- Two to three years of data entry experience required.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Google Sheets and/or Excel required.
- One year of experience working with state seed to sale tracking in the cannabis industry required.
- Minimum of one year of proven production planning/scheduling or related experience required.
- Complete understanding and application of ERP principles, concepts, practices, and standards is required. Experience with Counterpoint or Dynamics NAV is a plus.
- Data analysis experience and knowledge of business intelligence platforms such as Domo preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of inventory management and adherence to FIFO.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required.

Purpose
This position is responsible for managing and directing the Processing department with effective leadership and coordination to achieve the weekly objective, while simultaneously developing the department to continuously improve and progress. This role is responsible for managing and supervising the Processing department team members, Concentrate Packaging Machine, supplies, and packaging, organizing, and preparing the shipment of the variety of SKUs for the company. The Supervisor of Processing role must lead and participate in their job with professionalism and safety, consistently. The Supervisor of Processing will report to the Senior Manager of MIPs. This role will support the Senior Manager of MIPs to supervise and manage the Processing department, while working in cohesion with the other Processing departments to achieve the highest level of compliance and accuracy for Marijuana Infused Products.
Essential Duties
Leadership Procedures & Tasks
- Managing and delegating staff to achieve the daily and weekly objectives of the Processing department to serve the company's mission to package and prepare for exportation of a variety of products.
- Ensure the proper execution for all aspects of the department including management of the employees, directing and management of the operation and packaging of all Concentrate and Edible SKUs, accuracy and organization of company packaged SKUs in the MIP, management and planning of the exporting of company packaged SKUs, and maintenance and upkeep of the automated machinery.
- Supporting the Senior Manager of MIPs towards all departmental progression of packaging and distribution, along with the contribution and participation towards the planning and organizing of exporting all company related products.
- Managing, delegating, and training the inventory system to maintain complete compliance and consistent organization. This role is responsible for the training and development of the team member's ability to operate and report in the inventory systems, such as, CounterPoint, METRC, and Google spreadsheets.
- Assist with providing effective leadership to employees to ensure a complete understanding of and alignment to Delt's vision, mission and values to maintain a positive work environment and a high level of morale.
- Ensure all compliance requirements are met including facilitation of the immediate adjustment of practices to accommodate the dynamic changes that regularly occur. Ensure the organization and accuracy of the concentrate/edible batches of product being packaged and organized for shipment.
- Ensuring all staff are following company defined protocols. Enforce all company policies and regulations.
- Manage employees, including planning, assigning and directing work, examining performance and conducting evaluations, coaching, supervising, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving employee issues.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members to ensure daily work, productivity, and quality goals are met.
- Assist in establishing initial and ongoing training for employees to ensure an adequate level of understanding regarding guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Monitor employee attendance, time off balances, time off requests, and all other attendance related processes.
- Perform employee reviews annually.
- Work collaboratively with all Delt's employees and business partners. Bring any and all safety, security, and packaging concerns forward through the proper channels including and not limited to the Senior Manager of MIPs, Safety leadership, Compliance leadership, Security leadership, and/or General Manager of Operations.
- Assist with developing and managing projects, including defining project scope, resources and achieving deliverables on time and within budget.
- Ensure effective and appropriate communication with team members to increase team unity and operative flow.
- Determine daily prioritization of all tasks by collaborating with the Leads of Processing and Senior Manager of MIPs in an effort to maintain a smooth organization and productivity. • Facilitating appropriate adjustments in planning to any unforeseen changes. • Planning and managing schedules for cleaning of all equipment, supplies, machinery, and production areas.
- Responsible for prioritization, completion, and documentation of all tasks performed by the Processing department employees as instructed by the Senior Manager of MIPs. • Executing all paperwork in order to keep the Processing department staffed and up to date in the timecard software.
- Update and track all required information daily.
- Must plan and delegate constant supervision of team members to ensure all work is being done properly and efficiently, in accordance with our SOPs.
- Facilitating the work of the Processing department employees, by providing answers to questions, as well as providing them with the tools and resources they need to perform their tasks. • Clear understanding of workflow throughout the MIP Processor facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of MIPs and General Manager of Operation.
Workspace and Material Maintenance
- Plan and carry out through the support of Senior Manager of MIPs to guide and train Processing department members to maintain proper organization of the Processing area.
- Ensure upkeep and maintenance of the automated machinery through participation, practice, training, guiding, and disciplining accordingly to achieve.
- Manage the communication and reporting of unsatisfactory concentrates and edible SKUs and packaging concerns with the Senior Manager of MIPs.
- Manage and support leadership with efficient productivity and teamwork when setting up machinery and equipment for operation and taking down and cleaning machinery when operation is complete, along with supporting the start of shift through end of shift within the MIP department.
- Ensuring that sufficient supplies for the Processing department are ordered and available. Management and coordination of supplies with the Purchasing department.
- Direct and support to associates with a safe, well maintained, and organized work area.
Compliance and Reporting
- Plan and carry out the managing and guidance to have the department follow all instructed state and federal compliance regulations.
- Oversee and support the organizing and securing of all METRC tags, labeling on containers and shipments. Oversee and manage the proper reporting of all inventory to sustain compliance and company systems.
- Responsible for proper training of Data Technicians and employees packaging to understand how to perform roles compliantly.
- Manage, coach, and discipline any improper action of compliance regulations. • Development, management, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for the Processing Department.
- Update and track all required information in spreadsheets daily.
- Monitor and address situations which may result in improper labeling and packaging, minimizing concentrate/edible loss.
- Managing and coordinating the instructed procedures will maintain compliance and safety. Any compliance or safety mistake or error created must be addressed and reported to the Senior Manager of MIPs.
- Working with the Analytics department to organize and manage packaged company products efficiently and accurately.
Supervision
- Works under the direct supervision of Senior Manager of MIPs.
- This person will be asked to manage and supervise the Processing department.
Job Requirement
- This position is expected to manage and supervise the employees of the Processing department to perform duties at a highly productive and efficient pace, consistently.

The Laboratory Supervisor will supervise and optimize all the tasks in the Extraction and Purification Laboratory and will assist the Manufacturing team by maintaining quality control measures in the extraction and purification process and thereby ensuring the delivery of high-quality product. This Supervisor carries out day-to-day tasks including prepping for Extraction runs, Extraction using supercritical fluids, maintain paperwork using Good Documentation, and adhering to GMP standards. The Laboratory Supervisor will be a hands-on working supervisor responsible for extraction team training.
Job Duties:
- Directly supervises the Extraction and Purification staff and accomplishes department results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- This position and all output metrics report directly to the Lab Manager. These reports will include all daily production metrics, establishing actual vs. expected production results with explanations of variances, staff absences and all associated production paperwork.
- Shows the capability to effectively communicate with management and co-workers on a professional basis. This will include all team leads, supervisors, and upper management.
- Preparing for efficient production by reviewing manufacturing schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant materials and supplies for extraction.
- Performing all training required for extraction team, including maintaining all required documentation.
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment; Processing concentrates and extracts.
- Cleaning and maintaining extraction equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
- Operating, maintaining, adjusting, trouble shooting, and repairing laboratory equipment such as extraction vessels, heating jackets, CO2 pumps, CO2 recycler, balances, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment.
- Operating extraction equipment to harvest terpene extracts and cannabinoid-containing extracts utilizing both fresh frozen and CO2 processes.
- Operating highly sophisticated purification equipment to convert crude oil into decarboxylated oil.
- Following procedures for extract purification including ethanol addition, winterization, centrifugation, distillation, filtration, rotary evaporation, and decarboxylation.
- Assisting with the development of further purification processes and in-process materials, including processes for new products.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Processing Supervisor will be responsible for making sure that their facility and department’s employees are compliant with local and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures. This role will be responsible for all activities related to the post-harvest production of cannabis flower through primary packaging, as well as secondary packaging for both cannabis and infused products.
- Exercise authority and direction concerning operational issues and budget decisions; participate in developing and implementing rules, regulations, department policies, and procedures
- Documentation and continued development of internal processes
- Continuous improvement in efficiencies, processes and procedures for DTC
- Manage and coordinate Post Harvest, Cure, Processing and Packaging operations at the facility including: daily activities, supply requests, equipment requirements, training/ development, schedules, personnel and quality assurance.
- Inventory oversight, management, and organization.
- Ensure product quality; making sure product quality is maintained while being processed, cured, and packaged.
- Ensure and oversee tracking logs of all harvested, processed and packaged product.
- Understand and perform proper curing and drying methods; understanding, maintaining and executing knowledge of correct levels of humidity and temperature ranges during various stages of production.
- Manage and utilize Processing and Packaging labor force to effectively meet production goals and quality standards
- Work in various sectors of the department as needed to assist train, maintain and oversee quality standards, products, and procedures by their staff, as well to help meet goals.
- Assure compliance requirements are met or exceeded through operational and physical support at their facility.
- Responsible for continued innovation and evolution within the department regarding policy and procedure; making recommendations and offering new concepts and ideas to help streamline productivity and cost-efficiency
- Review new processes and product flow while maintaining, quality oversight
- Create and manage detailed reporting, comprehensive tracking and analysis of all products post-harvest through finished packaging; reporting daily, weekly and monthly as required
- Create a proactive and positive environment where processing employees are challenged to meet as well as exceed production, quality goals, and standards
- Experience in all areas related of post harvest processing of cannabis, including curing, trimming, and packaging.
- Skills in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations
- Ability to research, evaluate and adapt to new methods, compliance updates, and techniques for operational improvement
- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes, and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, upper management, and governmental agencies
- Assists the cultivation department with processes related to the drying of cannabis in order to maintain schedules and production goals; gains knowledge and experience in the processes and procedures of drying cannabis.
- Responsible for all flower processing related trimming, curing and primary packaging as well as all processes related to secondary packaging for both flower and manufactured products
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or related previous management experience preferred
- 3-5 plus years of prior people management experience required
- Experience related to the drying, curing, processing, and/or packaging of cannabis preferred
- Prior union experience preferred
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment, and software, including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, and electronic mail.
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences, including their direct supervisor, upper management, and law enforcement

Summary Operates laboratory equipment and follows defined processes to extract and refine crude cannabis oil into post-processed oil.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration, and decarboxylation
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post-processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
- Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
- Follows SOP's and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary
- Washes sterilize and restock laboratory glassware
- Performs clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, data collection, and filing
- Possess an understanding of scientific measurement, methods of measurement, units of measurement, and cGMP data collection
- Maintain and record data in our seed-to-sale tracking software (BioTrackTHC)
- Maintain clean extraction and laboratory environment which adhere to GLPs and GMPs

Responsibilities:

Job Description
Supervises take down of the flower, shucking of the flower, and trimming of flower to ensure proper workflow of the product so that it is effective and efficient.
PROCESSING SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBLITIES:
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise the day to day operations of staff assigned to the processing department – Take down of dried flower, shucking of the dried flower, and trim processes of the finished flower:
- Supervise the process of “Take down” post drying to ensure that it is done in an efficient and effective manner ensuring proper documentation of data for the product that is being processed.
- Supervise the process of “Shucking” dried flower to ensure that it is done in an efficient and effective manner ensuring proper documentation of data for the product that is being processed.
- Supervise responsibilities of all trim room functions (machine trim operations and hand trimmed flower) to ensure proper order fulfillment is completed in an efficient and effective manner ensuring proper documentation of product.
- Supervises all the administrative functions in the processing department – making sure weights are properly done and recorded, and that the product is tracked and stored appropriately.
- Keep documentation of your staff to assist your manager with the evaluation process of those employees that are assigned to the processing department.
- When hiring for positions within your department, work with your manager to determine the best candidate is chosen for the position.
- Ensuring policies, procedures and SOP’s are followed by employees in your department. When they are not followed, work with your department manager to ensure proper progressive discipline is followed using accurate documentation that you have collected and recorded.
- Track and record employee weekly performance for bonus pay to ensure those employees that are due to be paid a bonus get paid appropriately.
- Must be able to do physical labor in all types of environments within Copperstate Farms facility, such as the air-conditioned rooms within the facility, as well as the heat of the greenhouse, which can be over 100 degrees with high humidity.
- Must be able to work with and around marijuana plants and all of their bi-products.
- Work well and effectively with fellow co-workers in a productive way that is conducive to a professional work environment.

JOB SUMMARY
The Processing Supervisor is responsible for direct oversight of processing medical marijuana plant material into final concentrated and infused products for medical patients. This position will manage day-to-day operations in a regulated environment through a team of leads and/or technicians including extraction, post-processing, and portioning. This position may include participating in product development and be responsible for supporting future product launches and methods of extraction. This position will report directly to the Manager of Extraction and Processing Operations as well as working closely with other departmental heads to ensure the production of high-quality products in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the daily operations of the extraction and portioning departments by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company and regulatory procedures and policies
- Responsible for all processes, equipment, and supplies related to extraction and portioning functional areas
- Responsible for proper weighing, labeling, and documentation of all products in accordance with state and local regulations as well as the tracking of batch numbers and other necessary measurable data in internal spreadsheets
- Provide for effective employee relations through professional communication, coaching, training, and development
- Facilitate issue resolution to enable fast improvements and quality working relationships
- Monitor employee compliance with all rules and regulations; assist in the drafting and delivery of progressive discipline where appropriate.

The Laboratory Supervisor role is a full-time role working Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM with some overtime and weekend work necessary based on business need. Candidates within a commutable distance of Escondido, CA are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Science, or equivalent degree plus 5-6 years related experience and 1-2 years management experience. Experience may be substituted for education.
- Knowledge of appropriate regulatory agency guidelines.
- Working knowledge of laboratory operations and an understanding of the technical aspects of a laboratory.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in cannabis or brewing industry.

Summary Operates laboratory equipment and follows defined processes to extract and refine crude cannabis oil into post-processed oil.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration, and decarboxylation
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post-processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
- Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
- Follows SOP's and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary
- Washes sterilize and restock laboratory glassware
- Performs clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, data collection, and filing
- Possess an understanding of scientific measurement, methods of measurement, units of measurement, and cGMP data collection

- Supervising the collecting of samples by 3rd party testing companies and recording all necessary data for company records.
- Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Responsible for departmental staffing including interviewing, orientating, and on-boarding new employees.

Processing Supervisor

- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule based upon the demands of the business.
- Must pass internal and external background checks, including criminal history check by the Arkansas State Police and FBI.
- Must obtain a Registry Identification Card from the Department of Finance and Administration, Alcohol Beverage Control Division.
