Position Summary/Objective
The Senior Manager Retail Marketing is responsible for leading regional marketing coordinators to implement Ethos Cannabis' marketing initiatives, including external and internal marketing strategies, communications, and maintaining creative alignment to Ethos brand development and aesthetics. Responsibilities

The Retail Marketing Manager role will take ownership of retail marketing for all Sunday Goods dispensaries in Arizona. The objective of this role is to drive demand, store awareness, and sales of Sunday Goods products and 3rd party brands carried in-store. The candidate in this role must have a consumer retail marketing background, thorough understanding of digital marketing tools and tactics, and experience building effective marketing programs that drive retention and brand loyalty.
The Retail Marketing Manager will report into the Senior Director of Marketing and will work directly with the General Manager of each retail location. Parallel is looking for a motivated, experienced Sr. Marketing Manager to help build a world-class cannabis brand experience and to support the growing Parallel operation. Candidates should be passionate about the benefits of cannabis for medical patients and recreational consumers alike and have a singular focus on translating consumer insights into brand strategies.
In the cannabis industry, rules, regulations, perceptions, and competition can change daily. We are looking for someone who can self-start, uncover new opportunities, and demonstrate fast, flexible, and outstanding brand and marketing work. Candidates should be comfortable and able to work remotely.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand key traffic drivers in the market and identify opportunities for exposure.
- Design campaigns that bring Parallel brands to Florida audiences with relevant messaging with an emphasis on innovation, focus, speed and agility.
- Track competition within the market and provide competitive reports in an organized fashion on a routine basis.
- Be an expert in the nuances of the market and provide thought leadership to optimize Brand, Sales, and Marketing strategies for the Florida market.
- Constantly gather and synthesize consumer feedback within the market and develop improvement recommendations and plans to meet consumer needs.
- Work with Consumer Insights team to review current market research, identify effective promotional methods, and source potential media buys for review.
- Manage any state level media or ad buy vendor relationships.
- Manage the state-level marketing plans and budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic marketing initiatives and support plans needed for marketing activities across all channels – social, print, in-store, community, web, call center etc.
- Design and communicate ongoing operational initiatives specific to the market that impact retail performance, compliance, and efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional meetings with state-level operators and staff.
- Manage master marketing calendar for the market (primarily campaigns and product or brand launches) across all brands.
- Propose and execute opportunities for Brand and Retail engagement in the community.
- Execute strategies provided by the Corporate D2C, Brand, and Sales teams and bring them to life through appropriate opportunities, driving business within the state.
- Identify state level partnerships and affiliations for brand team and D2C team review.
- Ensure compliance, in coordination with Compliance team, of marketing efforts within the state's regulations.
- Work with regional sales and operations team to ensure successful execution of marketing efforts.
- Provide input to demand planning process by understanding sales velocity and market data.
- Prepare monthly market business reports for ELT review (summary of marketing activities tied to sales data, plus an analysis demonstrating ROI).

- Partnering with production to understand inventory liabilities and create promotions that favorable impact supply chain (basically- helping to move what we are sitting on and understanding where we cannot create a promo that will risk supply).
- Partner with Field Leaders and Store Manager to identify community driven events and in store activity that will positively impact business.
- Ability to develop a deep understanding of retail merchandising mix in order to give guidance on sku rationalization and insights on products and form factors missing from the current lineup.
- Intimately aware of competitor landscape and create promotions to take market share.
- Garner field intelligence by visiting stores and proactively communicating with Field and Store Managers.
Preferred:
- Degree - B.S./Master's minimum in the fields of business, marketing, or operations management.
- Demonstrated successes in marketing program development and execution in the Florida market.
- Agency management experience.
- Experience with video content, from creative development to production agency oversight.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and support The Apothecarium’s mission and values
- Support our director of marketing and marketing managers in the cohesive and consistent execution of our brand identity and messaging
- Manage and oversee the execution of content strategies for social, e-marketing and digital platforms and oversight of social & digital marketing coordinators
- Leverage copywriting skills to turn complex cannabis product information in digestible and clear value propositions and pithy marketing messages that drive purchase
- Track the evolution of campaigns and manage customer data to develop targeting, testing different data models to optimize for performance.
- Leverage quantitative marketing analysis and sales reports to understand brand/product performance and to influence marketing strategies and manage advanced campaign segmentation and optimization
- Develop a weekly and monthly reporting cadence that demonstrates the full-funnel impact of content initiatives
