Job Description:
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple entities as a member of the Human Resources team. This position is responsible for assisting with benefits administration, reconciliation, and reporting. This position works closely with the rest of the HR team, as well as interfacing with the accounting department and others within the organization. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and possess strong collaborative communication skills.
Core Responsibilities:
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Process bi-weekly multi-entity payroll.
- Process one off payroll items.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.

The position will support various aspects of the department and the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Payroll:
- Assist with end-to-end management of bi-monthly, semi-monthly and weekly payroll function in numerous states
- Audit Pay Run Registers accurately to ensure wages and benefits are properly distributed

- Following up on time-off requests and determine whether additional information is required before going through the payroll process

Overview:
This Payroll Specialist will function as an integral part of the accounting team. Position Summary

Position Summary
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing biweekly payroll for all Insa sites across multiple states. As the Company continues to grow into other sites and states, this role may be responsible for processing additional payrolls. This is an on-site roll in Chicopee, MA.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Completes bi-weekly payroll for all Company sites for review by the Payroll and Benefits Manager

Day in the Life
? Responsible for all PTO entries in TimeCO, as well as filing PTO in Personnel File.
? Responsible for accurate PTO use, to include the no-negative rule and follow up with leaders when PTO is requested beyond the balance available.
? Support Payroll Supervisor to process timely and accurate multi- state, multi-location end-to-end payroll.
? Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities as they arise as directed by Payroll Supervisor.
? Maintain teammate leave balances, PTO requests, benefit payroll deductions, and garnishments. Obtain and file all documentation needed to support any deductions, along with tracking timelines for ending such deductions.
? Enters Tip data and commissions as directed.
? Helps close timecards and address missing punches.
? Ques up retro pays or missing PTO, assists with Payroll notes.
? Follow a well-defined audit schedule for HSA, 401K, Travel Stipend, Cell Stipend, Benefit deductions, new hire/terminated employees and any other payroll changes requested (ie tax elections, garnishments, etc).
? Conduct regular audits on teammate data to ensure accuracy, including PTO balances, benefit enrollments, etc.
? Comply with local, state and federal payroll regulations and respond to questions and special requests from regulatory agencies.
? Collect and enter data to accurately reflect changes, new hires, and terminations and manage benefit administration.
? Zone Audits quarterly to ensure any transfers or position changes have been captured for Bonus/LTIP accrual.
? Runs offcycle pay runs under supervision of Payroll Supervisor for Bonus, discharged/final Pay, Severance, etc.
? Research and interpret Federal & State labor laws and regulations to include legislative changes regarding state specific labor and payroll data as requested.
? Helps with TimeCo administration to include billing, rehire enrollment, new hire enrollment, and removal of exited employees.
? Runs Hours reports as requested for departments. Assigns new leaders in TimeCo as requested.
? Enters new hires into Employee Navigator. Does an Address and Salary audit to compare to Prism.
? Enters new enrollees in HSA Members to Surency Portal.
? Acts as payroll back up to Payroll Supervisor.
? Learns all Payroll reports.
? Coordinates and attends meetings as requested.
? Manage office environment and office supplies as needed.
? Other duties as may be assigned.
What You Have
? 1-2 years of applied Payroll experience with a PEO.
? Prior experience with commission and bonus processing and payouts a plus.
? Experience with Job Classifications, Job Codes and FLSA requirements.
? Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
? Knowledge of compensation and benefits laws and regulations to drive strategy, philosophy, and compliance efforts.
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and utilizing business tools to enhance communication (Slack, Co. Intranet, and G Suite).
? Strong mathematical critical thinking and logic skills.
? Well versed in Excel spreadsheets and data compilation.

Payroll Specialist
Overview:
This Payroll Specialist will function as an integral part of the accounting team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for working within the framework of the company's payroll function that services our U.S. and Canada operations and make sure the company follows the various regulatory requirements related to payroll.

- Serve as primary point of contact for employee payroll questions
- Validate New Hire Information
- Manage incoming payroll tickets, escalate tickets to relevant stakeholders as necessary
- Manage and maintain payroll records
- Reviews timekeeping system for accuracy and completeness. Notify supervisor/employee for missing punches, incomplete hours, and missing approvals
- Create import files for bonus, commissions, and other income
- Reconcile 401(k) Plan contributions and ensure contributions are submitted timely
- Submit HSA funding files
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities and assist with audit requests
- Manage all fringe benefits and garnishments
- Verifies employee change status forms. Works with People Ops to resolve discrepancies
- Process manual checks as needed (bonuses, finals checks)
- Perform other duties and projects related to payroll and/or employee record management
What you've accomplished
- Minimum 1 years' experience in payroll processing

The position will support various aspects of the department and the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining employee and payroll data.

- Proven ability to analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions to inform policies and procedures

The Payroll Specialist will perform payroll accounting and administrative HR duties to support the company. - Processing payroll for one or more TerrAscend business units

Responsibilities - Payroll Administration
- Coordinate workflow to ensure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Partner with team to facilitate bi-weekly payroll for over 4,000 employees in 16 states
- Process employee changes as it relates to compensation changes/adjustments, changes in employment status, deductions
- Setup state and local taxing authorities, respond to tax notices
- Process audits to include, 401(k), Workers Comp, SOX and internal

Position Overview
Trulieve, a leading emerging growth company in the cannabis industry, is looking for a Payroll Specialist to fill a key role within the Payroll team. The position will support various aspects of the department and the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The Payroll Specialist supports internal customers with payroll processing and questions and is responsible for ensuring payroll cycle deadlines are met. The role will report to the Payroll Manager.
This position is located in our Clearwater, Florida office but would have the ability to work a hybrid in-office/remote schedule once training is completed.
Responsibilities
Assist with maintaining employee and payroll data.
Resolve employee concerns regarding payroll questions and issues.
Process wage garnishments.
Processes payroll requests, direct deposit, and W-4 changes.
Performs payroll tax-related activities to ensure the accurate and timely administration of all federal, state and local withholdings, remittances, reconciliations, and reporting;
Enter and process all new hires, position changes and terminations.
Process payroll on a semi-weekly basis;
Conduct regular payroll review process and routine audits after each pay cycle;
Assist with maintaining accurate and complete payroll and accounting records.
Assist with compiling and maintaining records for use in the employee benefits administration.
Assist with coordinating benefit enrollment for staff and the annual open enrollment process.
Track and follow-up with employee payroll documentation.
Respond to questions (internal & external) and research issues regarding payroll.
Assume responsibility for payroll records and backup documentation.
Monitor and assure compliance between corporate policy and current IRS regulations.
Acts as a department liaison for payroll and all related functions to support the departmental goals.
Works cooperatively with other departments to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Position Requirements
Previous payroll experience, particularly in a multi-state, multi-location business with over 1000 employees
Data entry experience
Paychex software experience a plus
Able to understand and follow written and oral instructions
Ability to focus on details, ensure appropriate follow-up occurs
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Proven ability to analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions to inform policies and procedures
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Self-directed and able to work both independently and in a team environment with multiple competing demands
Ability to interact with employees and team members respectfully and politely
Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.

- Create, maintain, and present dashboards for Tax Finance projects.

What the job entails:

The Position
The Payroll/Benefits Specialist & Office Manager will provide administration and support to the payroll and employee benefits functions. The Responsibilities
Payroll
· Prepares, processes, and validates bi-weekly payroll for accurate and timely employee remuneration.
· Compiles and prepares payroll data such as garnishments, time off, bonus payments, insurance, and other deductions.
· Collaborate with Human Resources team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll adjustments including new hires, terminations, site transfers, leaves of absence, changes to pay and/or deductions, etc.

· Assist the Accounts Payable team during the weekly check runs to ensure proper internal controls and segregation of duties

· Coordinate and support meetings to include but not limited to scheduling conference rooms, ensure technology operates as expected, order meals, etc.

The Qualifications

Overview:
This Payroll Specialist will function as an integral part of the accounting team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for working within the framework of the company's payroll function that services our U.S. and Canada operations and make sure the company follows the various regulatory requirements related to payroll.

The Position
The Payroll/Benefits Specialist and Officer Manager will provide administration and support to the payroll and employee benefits functions. In addition, this position will be responsible for day-to-day oversight and management of key administrative activities at the Company’s Corporate Headquarters. This position will be the face of the office and must have great communication skills and expert customer service skills, with the flexibility to multitask and work on varying size projects.
The Responsibilities
Payroll
· Prepares, processes, and validates bi-weekly payroll for accurate and timely employee remuneration.
· Compiles and prepares payroll data such as garnishments, time off, bonus payments, insurance, and other deductions.
· Collaborate with Human Resources team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll adjustments including new hires, terminations, site transfers, leaves of absence, changes to pay and/or deductions, etc.
· Serves as the main point of contact for payroll relate employee questions.
· Updates and maintains all employee information in payroll system.
· Ensures accurate time and PTO information is recorded and approved in payroll system. Reminds employees and managers as needed.
· Compiles reports from payroll system, based on data extracted from the system, as needed.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
· Assists with year-end payroll processes, including verifying data for W-2s and management of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Notification distribution process.
· Assist with registration of income tax withholding and unemployment tax accounts in cities and states where employees are working and living.
Benefits
· Administers all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, flexible spending plans and 401(k) plan, with oversight from Total Rewards Manager.
· Manages all interfaces to and from the payroll system, including complex carrier connections.
· Assists with administration of the company’s 401(k) plan.
· Provides support to the Cobra Administration process.
· Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
· Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
· Interfaces with benefit advisors as needed.
· Conducts benefit portion of new-hire orientations. Ensures new hire files are complete.
· Approves benefit enrollment requests and processes life event changes.
· Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
· Distributes benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
· Assists with the open enrollment process, including coordination of open enrollment meetings and presentations. Supports development and compilation of all communication materials.
· Responsible for benefit billing reconciliation and submission to Accounts Payable for timely payments.
Office Manager
· Manage day to day office operations including building access, visitors, supplies inventory, mail and delivery coordination, and other business services related needs.
· Responsible for developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standard to guide the operation of the office.
· Provide general support to visitors.
· Assist the Accounts Payable team during the weekly check runs to ensure proper internal controls and segregation of duties
· Assist in the planning and coordinating office activities, employee engagements, and annual events.
· Coordinate and support meetings to include but not limited to scheduling conference rooms, ensure technology operates as expected, order meals, etc.
· Assist with new employee activities, including desk and equipment set up, gift creation, requesting badge access permissions, and shipping all onboarding materials to our fully remote employees.
· Book travel and arrange necessary travel requirements for the leadership team.
· Perform other duties as assigned
The Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum of 2 years of payroll and benefits experience.
· Minimum of 2 years of office management experience.

Seeking Payroll Specialist to take over this aspect of our accounting department. We're looking for an experienced professional who understands the unique factors involved in processing payroll for multiple locations. Job Summary
The Payroll Clerk/ support plays a significant role in supporting and help maintaining a highly engaged and productive workforce for MedMen by helping in the processing of the biweekly payroll and related functions. This individual will partner with the Payroll Manager and with Human Resources to accurately and quickly resolve payroll and benefits related issues and processes with employees and managers.
Job Functions
- Correct and identify missing information for proper processing
- Entering employee information and payroll data into the system
- Enter transfers and everything related to relocation, through our PAF forms sent by HR
- Help answer and resolve all employee concerns and questions that come through our Payroll inbox
- Comfortable in a high volume environment
- Help enter any missing punches and time-sheet corrections prior to payroll processing
- Complete all Verification of Employment requests in a timely manner
- Work with the Payroll Manager and HR to terminate employees in the payroll system
- In partnership with Human Resources, report, analyze and reconcile employees' time off and overtime usage
- Support Payroll Manager with processing off cycle termination or correction of checks
- Investigate and help resolve payroll discrepancies
- Preparing payroll reports
- Open and willing to learn the payroll process , comfortable with this role to eventually be a back up for any emergencies or help in processing payroll when needed

The Payroll Tax Specialist is a key member of the Operations and Support Teams. The Tax Specialist will be responsible for providing day-to-day tax support for all Wurk Clients. Working closely with the Tax Supervisor, this person will inform and execute on generating, balancing and approving tax files timely. Creating payroll clients' profiles inside of the tax software. Generating and providing tax Power of Attorney documents to the clients.
What you'll need to accomplish!
- Within the first 30 days, you will learn the ins and outs of the Wurk platform and how PTM and Master Tax integrates
- At 30 days, you should be able to set up a new client in PTM and Master Tax
- By the end of 60 days, be able to process new clients, making payments and returns in both PTM and Master Tax
- Within 90 days, be a self-sufficient Tax specialist, owning the process of building, managing and support of client tax cases
- Manage tax software and implement new features and updates
- Assist with the weekly, quarterly and annual provision process
- Respond to related tax correspondence and research issues as they arise
- Auditing clients' tax records, Checking and Completing Tax Forms
- Meet with clients to gather information and explain option to them
- Researching and understanding various tax laws
- Track multiple tasks/action items, prioritize and escalate issues when necessary
- Create and build professional documentation of new process and procedures regarding tax implementations
What you'll need to have!
- 2-year degree or equivalent payroll tax experience

Experience with PTM
- Experience with Master Tax
- EA certification preferred
- Knowledge of basic accounting functions
- Consulting/customer interface experience required
- Broad knowledge of labor management, HR / Payroll, ERP, Time and Labor or similar domain product/systems preferred
- Solid interpersonal skills to interface with co-workers and customers
- Ability to manage specific tasks to completion with minimal direction
- Ability to collaborate with clients, identify engagement follow-on opportunities, and have a strong desire to excel
